Buddha's Birthday - source of happiness.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
In the midst of the dramatic whirlwind of social upheaval of the late 20th century, in the face of the collapse of man over the problems of ecological, spiritual and environmental crises, the Buddha season returns as a fountain of happiness flowing into people's consciousness.
On the occasion of Buddha's birthday: Learn about the basic teachings and dogma of Buddhism
In fact, the Buddha was not born in the Lumbini garden in India 2500 years ago, but the Buddha appeared in our hearts every hour, every moment, every day. Because we are the people who were born, raised, and matured according to the ideal of living with Him, walking with Him on the path to liberation from all the suffering that is weighing on our human condition. If the writer Shakespeare begins with the voice of his heart: "To love and to be loved is the happiest thing in life", then the Buddha declared his existence in the middle of life with the purpose: "I was born for peace, for the benefit of gods and humans, out of compassion for the world." Therefore, where there is the birth of the Buddha, there is the voice of love, the voice of human love. Just as the heart holds the life of one's life, so the human love holds the life, cultural soul of the nation and nation. Therefore, the fact that the Buddha was born is the event that begins the message of love and happiness:
"Hard to meet Tathagata
Not everywhere
Where was Buddha born?
There everyone is at peace" (Dharma Commandment 193)
That message has entered everyone's mind, when the door of "liberation" began to open after 49 days and nights of meditating under the Bodhi column, he became a fully enlightened one. From here, he declared: "The door of birth and death has been opened for all sentient beings. Let those who have ears to hear enjoy full confidence". Thus, Buddhism is the way to come and see, see the truth of life's suffering and the way to end suffering begins with the first steps:
"Who takes refuge in the Buddha?
The Dharma and the Sangha
Who uses Right View?
Seeing the Four Noble Truths
Seeing suffering and suffering
Seeing suffering overcome
Seeing the Holy Way of the Eight Branches
Leads to the end of suffering" (Dharma Rule 190-191)

This is the reality of life that each person has to go through the journey to "Self" in the middle of the desert from the mind of the overflowing "I". The illusory and non-discriminatory names, meanings, and fetters of name-and-form, matter, and money should be broken by the path that begins with the practice of His teachings. We should know that the possessions we hold are not our own, we should know that the things we are holding come to us only when the conditions come and go when the conditions dissolve. The Buddha himself once declared: "This is not me, mine, and my self". Out of the true nature of dependent origination, through personal practice, he became fully enlightened. We are also human, if we know how to rely on the Buddha, Depending on the Dharma to practice, they will also become enlightened people like him. Because man is the master of each person, solving for his own happiness and peace, no one can replace him. The Buddha himself advised his disciples:
"Doing evil by itself
Contaminate yourself
Don't do evil by yourself
Purify yourself
Pure, not pure by oneself
No one is pure." (Dharma Rule 165)
The question of supreme ideals and the meaning of life is actually a matter of happiness.

Here, the Buddha affirmed that the role and position of man is determined by the individual himself. Of all the values present in life, man is the highest value. Everything of value is a means to man and man's life. The question of supreme ideals and the meaning of life is actually a matter of happiness. True happiness comes when each person has to be free from the source of greed, hatred, and delusion, which comes from greed, as the Buddha taught:
"From lust springs suffering
From lust springs fear
To those who are freed from the cycle of lust
Then there is no more suffering, no more fear" (Dharma Law 215-216)
Experiencing the practice of the Buddha himself, we see this clearly. From a Prince Siddhartha living in a golden palace, he gave up everything to set out to practice for 6 years asceticism. Abandoning asceticism, practicing meditation and developing wisdom, he became a fully enlightened, fully enlightened one. During 45 years of teaching the Dharma to save birth, he once declared: "The true Dharma must be abandoned, let alone illegal". This is the attitude of complete renunciation that each of us must take on the path back to self-enlightenment. The essence of suffering is rooted in craving and attachment. Ignorance and afflictions, the past melancholy echoing from the heart of sorrow, sorrow and affliction are extinguished, when each person personally tends to cultivate the mind and practice the Dharma like him:
"Those who practice the Dharma
According to the Dharma practice
Will come to the other shore
Overcoming magic that is difficult to escape" (Dharma Rule 86)
Therefore, the problem of happiness is realized from the transformation of the mind to achieve inner peace. Here, the inner tendency from the mind requires growth, development, and expansion, because each soul has a magical ability to transform and operate. The Buddha turned from a real person, through his cultivation of inner transformation, to a human being living in a truly happy world, because he transformed his own inner self:
"Italy leads the Dharma,
The will to master, the will to create
If with pure intention
Speak up or act?
Peacefully follow
Like a shadow that does not leave the picture" (Dharma Law 2)
Obviously, the happiness that people aim for is not something beyond the reach of people. Happiness is the complete development of human qualities, through the practice of body, speech, and mind:
"Do not do evil
Accomplish good deeds
Keep your mind clean
That is the Buddha's teaching" (Dharma Rule 186)
This is also the path of practice according to Precepts-Concentration-Hue, towards the true values of happiness in life. The fact that the Buddha was born is a happy message to step out into the world of suffering, awakening the mind to the peaceful world of operation, away from attachment and craving. A free horizon opens up for those who still aspire to happiness, to be free from all life's sufferings. Here, from heart to heart in the source of teachings of the Father, the Father permeates everyone's hearts. It is true that:
"Blessed, Christmas Buddha
Happily, the Dharma is wise
Happily, they increase harmony
Happily, the four groups of fellow practitioners."END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.17/5/2021.
