The Buddha's teaching about slanderous retribution: Why are we so indifferent about danger?
It can be seen that slanderous retribution cannot be underestimated because it will be difficult for you to have true peace of mind so that you can focus on improving your life.
The Buddha's story for a boy with poisonous boils
In a small village there is a happy family of a rich rich man with a beautiful and gentle wife. What worries him most is that their only son is born with a serious illness.
The boy's skin is very poisonous, and they often grow a lot of pimples causing him to scream and cry incessantly. The surrounding people also could not stand the boy's cry, they named him Cry Gao.
I do not know how much money from the family of the rich man used to invite the famous healers, but everyone shook their heads and gave in. One day, a neighbor told his father:
- I heard a lot of people praise and praise that at Ky Vien monastery there is a Great Y King, a disease in our body or a disease in our hearts. it can be all cured. If you bring Crying Gao there, wherever serious illness is, you will immediately heal, you should bring me to You to pray for healing ”.
Upon hearing this information, Crying Gao was immediately taken to the Ky Vien monastery to meet the Buddha.
Seeing the poor boy, the Buddha compassionately preached the Dharma to Cry Gao. The miracle is that after listening to the Buddha's sermon, all afflictions dissipate, and then repent of all the sins you have created.
Moments later, the poisonous boils that had tortured him for over ten years were immediately gone, his illness was completely eliminated.
Crying Gao gave birth to sincerely and sincerely rejoiced, so we prayed to the Buddha to allow him to be ordained as a monk. He practiced diligently, soon attaining Arahantship.
The other monks were extremely surprised at what happened, they asked the Buddha to talk about the conditions that caused him to suffer the karmic retribution. The Buddha told his disciples:
- Countless lives ago, there were two rich men in Ba La Nai city. Normally, the two of them did not like each other and were jealous of each other, so one of them brought a lot of precious gold and silver to the king, and then disguised the other person in front of the king, saying: "That person is very evil. , often using malicious tactics to harm me, please Great King strictly punish evil people to protect the good people.
through the service
The king, blinded by the tribute of the items, was no longer wise enough to judge, most believing this man and ordered his arrest, regardless of the rich man's excuses, even taking him. out of cruel torture.
The rich man was wounded and covered with fish scales, and had to rely on his family to pay for the ransom before he was released home. When he got home, he thought constantly, seeing that because of human body, only suffer, only to suffer many calamities. Not long after, he entered the mountain to practice and finally became a Buddhist monk.
The Pratyeka Buddha developed great compassion, feared that the other person in the next life would suffer the retribution of suffering, so coming to his house to show miracles, causing the other to give birth to respect, immediately invited Bich Chi Buddha to the court to sit and sit. Prepare all kinds of special foods to make offerings and confess your old sins to Him.
Buddha said here, paused for a moment and then continued:
- You must know, the person who talked to the king was the monk Khóc Gao, who suffered in this life. Later, thanks to the grace of Bich Chi Buddha, repent of old sins, and thanks to the merit of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, today I am saved by the Tathagata, quickly attaining Holy results.
Don't expect gossip to say without anyone knowing it. Poor karma cannot be escaped, even in a hairline. But having committed such a sin and knowing to repent can be saved.
Do not fabricate the honor of others
Bad words sowing me to others
Not only can karma carry crimes, but those who lie, slander, speak cruel words ... harming others according to Buddhism still cause serious karma that damages a person's merit.
For example, Crying Gao had to suffer the consequences of karmic retribution, that was drought disease, tortured suffering, not to mention being able to even be sent to hell to suffer torture, reincarnated as cattle. born…
Only we underestimate the consequences of our words, so we don't think carefully before we speak, and when we have to receive the consequences, it doesn't help to complain about our duties.
At the time of the Buddha in the Garden of Loneliness, the bhikkhu Cu Ba Ly disguised the Buddha that the bhikkhus Xa Loi Phat and Muc Lien Lien did very bad deeds, creating evil deeds. Because Bhikkhu Xa Loi Phat and Muc Lien Lien had attained Arahantship, soon after Cu Ba Ly grew poisonous pimples, as large as mustard seed, and gradually became pea-like. -or, close to the size of a peach, again with a fist, blood and pus overflow, the body ruined in hell.
Therefore, we human beings in the present time must also take our own teeth to avoid words that cause harm to others. Especially in the era of 4.0, the bad reputation is easy to spread far, even a single word unintentionally can cause hundreds, thousand times more harm than before.
On social networks, do not assume that your personal page can freely say anything. When we do not understand the industry well, they are just those who read information through the 5th and 7th floors, the truth is often wrong, be careful because only one false news, slander can overnight that affects millions of people.
Therefore, if we used to bend our tongue 7 times before speaking, today we should think more than that before posting anything on social networks, so be careful with our own words and comments.
Try to apply as soon as possible the Buddha's teachings on words to eliminate misfortune, avoid unintentionally helping people with bad intentions, also protecting a good future for yourself, increasing your happiness. for our lives.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.4/3/2021.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
