ALSO LIVING AS DEAD.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
During the Buddha's time on earth , he was born in Sàvatthi (Xa-guard) into the family of a layman , after his father had abandoned the family . His mother, named Sanu, when he was seven years old, was brought to live with the monks, thinking that this would make her child happy . Sanu then became an academic solid, a shaman , meditation with kindness compassion, are gods and species The loving glass.
In his previous life , his mother was a female Yaksa.
After a while , he lost his sanity , lived in grief and wanted to wander around. His mother Da-ya saw this immediately alarmed her current mother and told her to encourage her children to be diligent , and reread the words of the Yakkhà (Da-yak):
Don't do evil,
Public or confidential ,
If you do evil,
Will do or do,
One who cannot get rid of suffering,
Oil has to get up to run.
After saying that, the mother of Da-rub disappeared, but the current mother , hearing that, was very sad . Then Sa-di Sànu holding robes and bowls to visit her mother very early. Seeing his mother melancholy , he asked her mother and answered the reason , he said the verse :
Dear mother, people cry,
Cry for the dead,
Or cry the living ,
While living, not seen,
Dear mother, I am living,
And I'm seeing you,
So why, mother,
Mother crying for me again?
The mother replied , from the words in the sutras: 'This is death, monks in the precepts of the saint, that is the renunciation of discipline and secularism' , and said the verse as follows:
People cry for you,
To cry for the dead,
Or cry for me to live,
But no face can be seen.
Who gave up lust ,
Back in this life,
Hey baby, people cry,
Cry for that person,
Because he was seen,
Living as well as dying,
Hey baby, get pulled out,
Out of the burning coals,
I still want to fall,
Are that pile of embers?
When he heard this, Sarah di Sanu taken as shame melancholy , and diligently develop meditation , not how long he attained Arhat. Thinking that he was victorious because of these verses , he should take those verses into his verses .
After reading this story, what lesson can we learn for ourselves?
Do we remember the story: ?
Then we remember the life of Prince Siddattha, what is the first decisive condition for commitment? Being thoroughly enlightened , that is, determined , unshakable. No worries. Once ordained , or enlightened to choose the path of cultivating the Buddha , then must go to the end of the path , this life and the next. It is also "the three paramitas " decision in the third decade .
We are lay people , we also need to be determined with steel, sometimes more than monks , because we are still living in a family , have ties , and face more challenges . If we get discouraged, discouraged, give up, then we are a loser.
Loser will be much suffering , sorrow , there is no escape. Why? Who do I lose? Lose yourself. Then where to run away ? Me, this is the Self. The Buddha nature is too weak to conquer the Self. The Self is ignorance , laziness, selfish greed , jealousy and disdain, anger , or contraband . How many lives atta victory, it led her rolling forever, according to the cycle , birth and death, birth and death then, gush forever.
In the above enlightenment verse , saying that the Buddha's dharma has pulled me out of the burning embers, but why do I want to fall back into that burning embers now?
This thread she'd remind us , to see matters of life and death , such as "horizontal fire you," Hurry diligently more. Do not choose the path : "alive but as dead".END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.7/3/2021.
