As Dieu people, the new Dieu-France is worth calling Pho Mon, which can be called True-General-fit. So, due to the predestined relationship of Humanity and Dharma, should say the Noble Phantasm. 2. Compassion: Due to the conditions of Compassion and Compassion, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara says this Universal subject. Why is it called "From?" Funny word or ban. Why is it called "Bi?" Compassion often saves suffering. Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara saves seven things, disarms the three poisons and satisfies the two desires of beings. These seven vices in the texts speak very carefully; Those are fire, water, and the devilish demons (storms), sticks, demons, shackles (prison labor), and robbery. What are the three poisonous things? Those are three poisonous greed, anger, and ignorance. The two things that we wish are for the birth of a son and for the birth of a girl. In all beings there are three kinds of poison, hatred and delusion. However, if the person is more greedy, often respectfully recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara then be free of greed. If the person has a lot of yard, they often recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara reverently, then he can leave the yard. If people have a lot of ignorance, they often respectfully recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, then be free of ignorance. This greed, if all are mentioned, is very much, a lot of anger is not less, and ignorance is neither much nor less. Saying it more is not necessarily much, saying it less is not much. Why is it called ignorance, or foolishness? Due to lack of wisdom, not deep understanding, not comprehension of the implications, seeing the reason but not seeing right (the truth is not true), so it is called ignorance. Because of ignorance, although seeing that logic is not correct, knowing it is that but not knowing why it is. Based on the doctrine of Wang Yangming, a Chinese scholar, a foolish person is someone who cannot practice in unity. According to him, the reason why he did not do it was because he did not know; if he knows, he will do it immediately. He again said that those who know but do not do, it is because they do not really know; If he knows the truth, he will definitely do it. Vuong Duong Minh is a very famous scholar in China, his doctrine is that Tri Hanh Hop Nhat - knowing and doing is one - if real people know, they will definitely practice; just because he doesn't know, he doesn't. This also means that those who are rightly knowledgeable do not do stupid things. Why do people work stupid? Because he doesn't understand, doesn't know. So I say this doesn't make sense. There are poems about foolish people as follows: Beautiful and bright flowers are beautiful, bright and bright, the moon is afraid of every full night, A land with streams becomes wine, Old forest without trees will not shake money. The foolish-minded flower-lover said, "I want this flower to be beautiful forever and ever, not fading; the light is as beautiful as this." A full moon enthusiast said: "What bright moon is afraid of every full night? Last night the full moon was so beautiful, how good it would be if the full moon were all night! Every night out to watch the moon, the moonlight is bright. That's enough, you don't have to use electric lights, save money while using natural light is even better! " Isn't that stupid? The moon is full, and the flowers bloom and wane. There must be a time when the flower blooms, the full moon must sometimes a crescent moon, which is the cyclical law of heaven and earth. People who like to drink alcohol think: "Every day I go to buy wine, and whiskey or brandy is very expensive. If all the ponds on earth turn into wine ponds, so when I crave wine, just come to the pond to drink it, it is convenient. Additional info!" And those who want money, dream: "I have to work now to make money, it is too hard. I wish all the trees would turn into 'money trees,' on the tree full of gold stalks and money. dollars, so when you need money, just pick it and spend it, how convenient it is! " Those unenforceable wishes are all foolish delusions. Again, the easiest to understand example. Like someone who hasn't gone to school, hasn't even attended primary-secondary education yet — but wants to get a PhD in university. Do you say this makes sense? Having not studied through primary school, How can a Doctorate degree be granted him? There are also people who never work in the field, but when the crop comes, they want to harvest like people! That is all ignorance! There are even people who don't buy lottery tickets but expect to win the lottery, what a dumb idea! However, most people suffer from delusions of "not doing but want to eat." So what to do? There is this disease that needs to be fixed. Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara saves seven victims, detoxifies three things, wishes for two things, which is great compassion. Again he benefits all sentient beings, causing sentient beings to leave suffering and rejoice, which is the Great Prayer. So it was said that because of the predestined relationship, Phuoc Hue said Pham Pho Mon. 4) Chon Respect: "Chon" is Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara using the magic power of his feet to rescue seven victims, disarm three poisons, to satisfy two desires of beings. That is why it is called Pharmacy-King-life. Why is it called "Chau?" "Chau" this is Nhu Y Bao Chau. Why is it called Nhu Y Bao Chau? "Like" is satisfied, also makes you delightfully satisfied, satisfying your requirements, fulfilling all of your wishes. If you want to eat something, Nhu Y Chau immediately appears that dish, you do not need to go buy. If you want to wear nice clothes, just think of Nhu Y Chau: "I want a beautiful outfit, which is rare in the world," At that time, Nhu Y Chau immediately appeared in the correct clothes you wanted. Even if you want a house, it can show up. You wish: "Tonight I want to live in a very luxury house", this Bao Chau will immediately appear the house as you want. After staying one night, on the second day, the house automatically returned to Nhu Yzhou. What food do you want to eat, Nhu Y Chau immediately appears that food, the amount is just enough, not excess or lack. In terms of clothes, you also do not need to buy a shirt rack, just take it off and it will automatically return to the Nhu Y continent. Therefore, the grain of Europe is called "Nhu Y," satisfied with satisfaction, it is a miracle. How big is Italy? This pearl is very small, you can take it with you at will; it is not heavy and does not take up space. The universal Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is similar to Medicine-King-life and As Y European, can make everyone satisfied and satisfied. As long as you recite the Prayer of Prayer, we hope that everything will be satisfied. But it's not that chanting today, tomorrow it will be effective. It is necessary to first prepare a very stable facility, like building upstairs, to first make a solid foundation; The foundation is not stable, there is no way to build the upstairs house. Although Prussian Discourse has a divine touch like Dupri-king-life and Nhu Y Chau, it is also an inconceivable mystery, but first you need to recite the Prussian Noble Phantasm. You have to chant and recite each day until Guanyin Bodhisattva recognizes that you are suitable and sincere, then you will be satisfied with whatever you pray. It is impossible not to chant normally, When you want the bridge to instantly touch you. For example, the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara helps sentient beings, in the Prussian Class it says: "Oil in the great fire, the fire cannot be burned." In the Surangama Sutra, when the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara talks about atrium Vien Thong, it is said: "Fire can not be burned because the nature of fire is the feet, emptiness is the fire." For example, if you are sitting in the room, one-pointedly concepting the name of Bodhisattva, suddenly a fire happened. At that time, as long as you can sincerely recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, even if the next house catches fire, your house will still be harmless. But that must be unintentional, not intentional! If you tried to set a fire on purpose to see if your house was on fire, it must be on fire! Why? Because you originally wanted to try the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara! Because you have no firm faith, you should try Him like that. Like if you have a friend for example, because you want to know if that friend is really honest with you, is he a good person, "meet gold without blinking", then wait when the friend comes to play and try The idea of ​​dropping five hundred dollars on the ground and thinking: "If he was a good man, even if he knew he couldn't see it, he wouldn't take that money." Why would you want to challenge your friend? It is because you have not got the right judgment about that friend, do not know if he is really a good person, so you just experimented like that. In the sutras, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, it is said: Oil in the great fire, the fire cannot burn. In this regard, if you do not believe at all, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara will not pay attention to your nowhere. You want to jump into the sea to commit suicide, say, "I jumped into the ocean to see if there is a shallow space or not?" You want to test to see the miraculous power of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara that shows that you do not have faith in him. If you do not have faith with the Bodhisattva, he may not want to pay attention to your nowhere. You argue: "If I don't test, how do I know if it's real or fake?" You know it's real, how about it? Without knowing that it is real, then what? You know, everyday you still have to eat, wear clothes, you can live; Then what do you need to do more of the extra work? The induction is clear, everyone knows. Like the house next door is on fire and our house is not on fire Isn't that obvious? Everyone knows clearly: "Ah! He is inspired by reciting the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara! Believing in Buddha is truly a miracle." That is the manifest induction. There is also a secret touch. For example, you should have had an accident or fell into the sea and got swept up by water, but in your invisible, inspired by Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, you don't have to face that danger. In secret, He makes your accident go away, without you even knowing it at all; that's called secret induction. As if someone should have been burned to death in the fire, but thanks to that person trusting the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, he silently disarmed the accident. That is also a secret induction. Even if you are sitting on the plane, the plane should have malfunctioned - traffic is convenient today, but the number of deaths caused by airplanes, trains, taxis ... But you by reciting the Prayer, by reciting the Great Compassion mantra, by believing in the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, he silently, without letting anyone know, quietly helps you "turn luck into luck." When he was about three miles away from home, he suddenly encountered bandits blocking the way. This farmer saw a robbery ahead, when he panicked and lamented: "What should I do? Run away?" But the bandits have seen it, they can't hide it; If you do not escape, you must be robbed. At that moment, he chanted the Great Compassion mantra, and his carriage kept on straight ahead. As his car got closer to the bandits, a man came out from among the bandits, went to the front of the car and said, "You give me the whip so I can drive it!" He obeyed, gave the driver's whip to the other. His car passed by the bandits and they couldn't seem to hear anything, so he was not robbed. Waiting for the car to run to where the bandits could no longer see it, the coachman returned the whip to him and said: "Now go away, nothing else." Because he saw the coachman help him out of the bandits, he thought that he was also a bandit. If you have been robbed, dare to ask what is the noble name of the birth? Where is it now? In the future, I will come to the palace to pay tribute. " The other person replied: "My name is Ah The Erect." If you recite the mantra of Great Compassion, you all know well, is not there a Dharma protector named Abhidharma? In the picture, the dharma protector at the back of his shoulder has two wings, named A The Erect. But at that moment, the farmer wondered: "Oh, who is A Thue Dung?" Then he forgot that "A Thought" it is a mantra in Great Compassion and is the name of a protector. Until the A The Erect passed away, no longer saw it, the farmer suddenly remembered: "Ah, is this not the dharma protector of Great Compassion?" However, when he remembered, he could not find "A Thought" anymore, he did not know where he was going! Above is one of the unthinkable realms of Uncle Dai Bi. If the peasant thought, "Let me try chanting the Great Compassion mantra to see if there is any experience," all of A The Enlightenment will not come to save him. It is through him that he does not want to experiment, but only one belief: "Reciting the mantra of Great Compassion will be able to meet evil karma, change danger into security"; and indeed he was satisfied, not plundered by bandits. 7) True Rights: Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara uses the power of the Dharma body to quietly, The secret to helping sentient beings is "Really." He used the thirty-two Institutional emanations to educate sentient beings, that is, "Rights." "Right" is a means of manipulation, also a temporary method, not a permanent one. Because Bodhisattva Guanyin uses the cause of this true condition, so he said the Prussian Food. 8) Tale: Why is it called "Copy?" "Copy" is the basis, "Check" is the mark. Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara uses a dharmakaya that is universal in all beings; That dharmakaya is "Ban." The Dharma body of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is like a bright moon; His "accumulation" is like the shadow of the moon shining on a thousand rivers and water. It is called: "The water is filled with thousands of moonlit rivers." There is only one bright moon illuminating the rivers, and all the moon shadows in the rivers are from the body of this single moon illusion. The moon in the water is the water, the "product;" the moon in the sky is the "copy." Due to the predestined relationship, that says Pham Pho Mon Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara uses a dharmakaya that manifests throughout the mind of all sentient beings, making them all convert too self-reliant, dedicate themselves to the top, leave suffering to be happy, eventually becoming a Buddha. At this point, someone said: "No wonder! The reason I am not too self-centered is because the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara does not appear in my mind, causing me to make so many mistakes, and even refuse to change. " Smokers think: "Perhaps it is because Bodhisattva Guan Yin is not subject to me, does not want to help me quit smoking." Those who like to drink alcohol say: "I want to study the Dharma, but unfortunately I can't quit drinking. It is the fault of Bodhisattva Guanyin, because he won't help me." They thought that and then gave birth to resentment to Guanyin Bodhisattva: "The Bodhisattva Guanyin is so unfair! Why do you help people without helping me?" This is foolish, even more foolish, so two ignorance is piled up. Why did Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara not teach you? That is because you do not listen to His teachings alone. You hear the title Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, you must convert too self-centered, you must clear your mind. At the same time, it is necessary to understand that: Understanding the past is not counting, Knowing the future can be traced. Everyone must know that the past is over, finished; and the future is coming, we can change it to follow the path of goodness. But as you know, if you try to commit it, the crime is compounded. Therefore, it is too wrong to blame Guan Yin Bodhisattva for not protecting you! Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara always wants to protect you, but unfortunately, the door of your heart is tightly closed, preventing him from entering. Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara only sighed: "Oh! How pitiful these beings are!" So you should not blame Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, but must blame yourself for lack of enthusiasm. 9) Duyen Lieu: "Duyen" is the cause, "Will" is the willow. Why is it called "Willow?" This is the cause has ended, has ended. You can also say "willow people" that is to understand the cause. During this summer's retreat (1968), everyone woke up very early and made use of every moment to study the Dharma. Why did they come from so far away to come here (San Francisco) to study Zen, study the scriptures, study Buddhism? It is because they want to "will" the "human" that. Listening to the sutras is the seed of "willow people;" you have the predestined relationship to listen to the sutras, which is the "predestined" condition of the cause. So, because of the predestined relationship of Duyen Lieu, this should be said. 10) Wisdom: Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara uses his wisdom, solemn wisdom and virtue to educate sentient beings, his fruitfulness is solemn wisdom. "Wisdom" is the Wisdom of Hue, ie the virtue of mind. "Paragraph" is Germany, that is, eliminating, cutting off all ignorance. The German passage is also known as Phuoc Duc. Because he can eliminate ignorance, there is true dignity and virtue. The Buddha is full of both blessings and wisdom; Although Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is a Bodhisattva, but he has solemn merit and solemn virtue. So, "Wisdom" is also called "Phuoc Hue." Above are the ten conditions that say the quality of Bodhisattva Quan Am Bodhisattva, the twenty-fifth product of the Lotus Sutra. Before studying the text, let us learn about the title of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Regardless of the sounds of the world, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is all heard. He knows every single sound of each being; why? Because he constantly observed those sounds. Throughout the day, he looked at one place and another, looking for any sound or not. The sound is inherently to be heard, why is it said here that "watch?" Sound that can "see," can "see"? We cannot, but the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara can "see" sound. He sees sounds as if they were recorded on a radar screen, and each being is indicated by a small flash (blip) on the radar screen. He can follow your every sound. That is an explanation. Again it can be explained that: Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is capable of hearing with the eyes and seeing with the ears! Although we say that He observes the sounds of the world, He can also hear with his eyes! He could not only use his eyes to see, but he could also use his eyes to hear. Why? Because He has supportive powers of the Six sense faculties. Those who practice according to the Buddhist Sutras, who achieve the realm of the Three Sows, or the Purified Six sense doors, all have the ability to use the Six sense doors; the lake is Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara! So, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara's ears can talk, can eat and drink; His eyes can hear and think too. That is the realm of the six sense bases that the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara has witnessed long ago; and thus, He is able to contemplate the sounds of the world. Perhaps someone wonders: "Why is Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara so much, Want to embrace too many things? From morning to night diligently examine the sound? What for? "Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara does so because he cannot leave the beings of you, me, and so many others. He considers all sentient beings the same way. Slapping like a mother who always cares for her children U always notices if one cries, the other is hungry, whether the other is cold, He is busy all day looking after our beings. question: "Are you like a baby-sitter?" Yes, almost as well. The thing is that he is not paid! That is the most disadvantage for Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara! ignoring sentient beings, so He wanted to contemplate the sounds of the world, to see if there were any beings suffering, He would release the suffering for them, Or if there is any kind of being in trouble, then He will relieve the accident for that living being. Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara "view of suffering" For Him to listen to the cries of beings that come to save them from suffering. If you are suffering, just recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, you will all be "unlucky," and everything will be as smooth as you would like. Most people in the world do not know this miracle, so when they encounter dangers and uncertainties, they do not know how to recite the name of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. If you are in danger when you can recite the name Guanyin Bodhisattva, you will be at peace. If you are in a fire, the fire will not burn you. If you fall into deep water, the water does not drown you. If you cannot swim, you will find yourself being pulled into a shallow space. That is due to the induction power of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. In times of emergency, as long as you can recite His name, you will surely be inspired and saved. However, you need to really have faith; can not hesitate, sell doubtful credit. Suppose you were in a fire and recited the name of Avalokiteshvara with doubt: "Is it true that Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara will come to save you? No way! holy like that! " Because of that doubtful thought, He cannot come to rescue you. Why so? Because you don't believe, don't have faith in Him! You need to sincerely believe with all your heart: "I recite the name of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, he will definitely come save me!" Or if you are about to be eaten by a fierce tiger, you immediately close your eyes and chant " Nam Mo Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Namo Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva ... "; suddenly the tiger will not be able to open his mouth anymore. That is thanks to the power of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. The Bodhisattva is" sentient feeling, "who goes to enlighten sentient beings, to help them become enlightened. They are also "enlightened sentient beings," enlightened sentient beings. Friendship sergeants. "At that time, the Endless Bodhisattva, right from his seat, got up, put his shirt on his right shoulder, and put his hands in the direction of the Buddha, saying:" Religion! What are the conditions of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, but the name is Quan Avalokiteshvara? "At that time was the moment. When was that time? It was the time when the Endless Bodhisattva at the Dharma Assembly asked about the conditions. is called Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva; it is also at this time, when finished speaking the product of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva now is the time to say the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Taste Endless Italian Bodhisattva. Why is it called Endless Italy? In general, there are three endless things: 1. The boundless world of noise: The world is boundless, we should not assume that this world is what we can see and hear, it is one. the limit of the world. That is not where! This world is boundless to the limit, there is this world, another world, boundless worlds; this realm, another realm, infinite realms of water, infinite, so it is called the boundless world of noise. Why is it called noise? Noise is disturbance; turbulence is uncertainty; Uncertainty also means dynamism. Tran means impure, in the world there are many mental beings. See when the new sun rises, in the sunlight you can see a multitude of objects rising and falling in the air, wobbly and swayed, suddenly high and low Where did these mortalities come from? How much dust does this world come from? Considering the origin, tracing the root cause of this mortal matter is very important. All this mundane appear from the mind of each being to appear. Why? Because in the mind of beings too many delusions. Hope is like the ceiling wandering without security, always fluctuating. We try to observe innumerable delusions, they are so many that they cannot be counted. Counting does not know how much! In the Sutra Pitaka says: "In a thought there are ninety-na-na." The moment-moment is a very short period of time, but in a single moment there are nine hundred times of birth and death, so it says "The world is boundless with noise." 2. Beings endlessly bring karma: The world is boundless, because of the world, there are also beings. Beings are born of harmonious conditions. There are many things that are born of harmony and conditions, roughly four things: fetus, ovule born, low birth and birth. Why are pregnant? But the lid of the bowl was too heavy to not bear, he ran back to lead the remaining 999 small demons, assembled together to lift the lid of the bowl, but it could not be done, and could not move at all. At that time, the Demon Tzu Chi could confess to Buddha: - Why did you arrest my child, put him in a bowl and won't pay me back? Buddha asked: How many children do you have? - There are a thousand. - Ah! You have a thousand children, now only lose one mah why so precious? - Even if I only lost one, but for me it is not possible. - Then how about you force humans to eat meat? - It's not like I want to eat kids! But there was nothing to eat, if I didn't steal the kids to eat, all a thousand of them would starve to death. - From now on, you should not steal their children to eat meat. You should take refuge in the Three Jewels, maintain the five precepts, should not kill! You think, you have so many children, but one can't even stand it. I just put it in the bowl only, and you still suffer like that! But how many children in the world are you taking to eat, their parents not suffer? You shouldn't be so selfish! At that time, the demon Tu-mother listened to the Buddha's words, took refuge in the Three Jewels, and maintained the five precepts. The Buddha immediately told his disciples to eat seven grains of rice or some food for the Demon Tu-mother when eating. On the way back, the boat reached the open sea, he immediately pushed his friend into the sea. Because he did not know how to recite the Bodhisattva Guanyin, he drowned. So Truong Ngoc Giai alone took up the whole amount of medicine capital. When he returned to Hong Kong, he sold a lot of money. He even fabricated fake drugs for sale, so he added more wealth. Truong Ngoc Giai should have taken refuge in the Three Jewels, if he had true faith, he wouldn't have to die. "Pirate" It is those who have resentment towards me, or that in the previous life, we stole their things, or killed them, or had something wrong with them, so this new life met each other and immediately turned into thugs. This is called: "Killing people must live, lack of debt to pay." You kill people, they will kill you too; If you rob people, you have to pay them back. Everything has a relationship. Bodhisattva Van-enemy-teacher-benefit once raised a koan. -He said: "I forever keep the world from stealing, never stealing anyone's things, what to prove? I can get a very expensive pearl to put right at the gate, no need The watch, which was still intact three days later, was not lost by the scavenger. Hence it is possible to prove that my words are sincere. " But still some people do not believe, so He experimented. He took a bead of precious pearls and brought it to the gate to drop in the most visible and crowded place. As expected, three days later, the pearls were still in place, not picked up by people. It is because he keeps the world of stealing very pure forever and ever, so that he has the result. Therefore, if we meet in the present day, we have to do it; No matter what things are lost or what is lost, there is no need to be too sad, but must be happy to accept, should not blame people. Back when I was at Nam Hoa pagoda I had a problem with bandits. One year, in front of Quan Am - September 19 - one day, many bandits wanted to rob Nam Hoa pagoda. They pounded on the door, but I didn't open it. A moment the back door was torn apart by bandits. At that time, front and back and both sides had bandits holding guns pointed at me, saying: "I want to die to die." Someone shouted threatening to hit me. But at that time I didn't feel scared at all, talking to them naturally. I asked them, "Why do you want to hit me?" They retorted: "Why didn't you open the door?" I replied: "Suppose you are me, and I am you, you would not want to open the door either! Why? Because you are here to get my things and not give gifts." Hearing me say that, they said, "Get your checks out!" At that time I was wearing a patched robe, I said: "If you look at the shirt I'm wearing here, do you know that I'm the one with the checks?" They looked over at them and asked again: "Who has the money here?" I said: "I am the Dharma teacher of this institute, the others are all students. I work as a Dharma teacher without any money, What students do with money? If you don't believe it, just go to my room and take a look. If you see something worthwhile or have a treasure, just take it! "At that time in my room it came out that there were two bum-bum dishes, but two" alive. " These two people, when they heard the slander coming to the door, their hands and feet were so weak that they could not walk, crawled up to me and said: - "Mage, what should I do? I'm so scared! "I said:" It's okay! You just go into my room and get under the bed to hide! "Then I told the bandits to go into the room to see what they can get, both of them trembling so scared, their teeth hit each other. In the end, the bandits didn't come into my room. also came out from the room to talk. The master just stepped out, the bandits were very strange, hurried up to point their guns at him, surrounded to fight, making Thay scared to tears. At that time in my heart very upset, I said: - "He also does not have any money, if you want money, you keep asking me here!" But the bandits didn't pay any attention to me, they kept asking for money. He said: - "Go into my room and get it!" Said and lead the bandits to get more than two hundred dollars. Perhaps money saved over many years, eventually falling into the hands of the bandits. The next day, the Master told the monks: - "There are more than two hundred people at Nam Hoa pagoda but only this Master cannot fear." I just told them: "It's not just me, there are four people in the temple who don't know fear." Who is the first? - " Being the Six To Great Master, the Taoist monks sat there as if motionless. Because at that time I recited Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva; At first they were very aggressive towards me, but seeing me as a ragged monk, thought: "This poor monk! the person breaking the law can clearly justify their innocence, while the person who is clearly not guilty can prove to be guilty. You look in this world, where do you want to find the truth? In this world, there is really no truth, only power. If you want to find the truth, you must look in Buddhism. So, you are either guilty, or not guilty, but caught by the law, about to be executed, within that short time (just fear you are too scared to go away and forget everything) if you are not too scared, still remember to recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, then the knife about to cut your head will naturally break into segments, proving that your neck is harder than the diamond so the knife will break. crushed like that. But if you have skepticism, intentionally sinned, your head is bound to fall. It is because for Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, If you don't have faith, you just want to experiment, of course you cannot be inspired. If there is true belief, all things are inspired. In Chinese characters, a prisoner (囚) means a person (人) locked in four walls (口). Prohibition is prohibition from being free. Old means gong. Prisoners are not only locked up in prison, but also have to carry gong. The gong is composed of two wooden pieces, in the middle there is a hole that is wide enough to carry into the neck and can be locked so that the criminal cannot escape. Parents like a collar carried on a neck, children like handcuffs. Do not think that having children and grandchildren is desirable, this type of cuffs will not take off once they are brought in. Having a wife is like being chained and not being free. Today, there was a disciple, saying this: - "I borrowed more than two thousand dong from the government, if now I want to leave home, these two thousand dong cannot be paid, so first I have to work to pay After finishing the debt, then I can decide to leave home. " He says it's true or fake I don't care, I just tell everyone in advance that maybe when he pays off his debt, his leg will be caught in some shackles, but I hope he won't. to be shackled to be an American celebrant. Currently America really needs people to ordain, everyone wants to ordain, No matter what kind of person they were in the past, I deeply appreciate it, as long as after they are ordained they can keep the rules. However, I want to nurture that in the American Buddhist world, every monk is an Elder, even a Master of Buddhism in America. What should I do when my limbs are tied up by an instrument, lose all their freedom? Just reciting Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva will be naturally liberated. Previously, in China, there was a monk who was captured by a mountainous ethnic group (Dao people) and tied up in a room. The people here are very brutal in nature, and specialize in making Han people kill them to eat meat. This monk normally believed in Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara very much, so at that time he was not afraid. just one mind to recite Guanyin Bodhisattva. Such a dangerous scene can turn danger into security, so the fulfillment of reciting the name of Bodhisattva of Avalokiteshvara cannot say all. Remarks, poisonous drugs Want to harm that body, Thanks to the power of reciting Guanyin, he can suffer. Mantra is chanting; Reflections are like uncle. I have many things, Tantra has the most mantras. The lamas in Tibet have a type of mantra, just reciting for seven days can make others die. There are things that you kill people, and things you do to benefit people. You say here is what you hurt people. Poisons are common to all poisons. When you come across all kinds of mantras, poisons are harmful to the body, in that situation, if you think one-pointedly: "Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva," then these mantras and poison not only cannot harm you but also return to harm the perpetrator. Once in China there was a person who specialized in guessing hexagrams and guessed correctly. Why did he guess such a miracle? Because in his body there are demonic demons to help. This devil eats a male and a female each year, so this fortune-teller has to kidnap a boy and a girl every year to sacrifice it. That year, he caught a young girl who at home is often taught to recite the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. While being locked in the room waiting for the devil to come eat meat, the child immediately recited the title of Bodhisattva Guanyin. Moments later, the devil came and stood outside the window looking in. From the demon's eyes, two beams of light emanated from the child's body. The child recited the Bodhisattva in mind, so it also emitted a light from its mouth. Suddenly the baby felt something huge falling from the top of the house. Thought the monster was about to eat him, the baby was too scared to scream. At that moment, outside a patrolman just arrived, heard inside the house with children crying for help, so broke the door, and discovered the body of a giant serpent. This great serpent is the Ma-ma-la-old (Maharaga). As a result, the fortune teller was arrested and interrogated: "Why did you keep that little girl in it?" He replied: "I have been helped by a fairy with divination, that fairy must eat a boy and a girl every year. I have all made such sacrifices for many years, thanks to that position, this fairy helps me with fortune telling. Experimental, making a lot of money. " Then he was imprisoned and punished according to the law. That fortune-teller is very powerful, but cannot count on his own end to be punished by the law and beheaded. It is an example of: "Sticky notes, poisonous drugs, want to harm that body, thanks to the power of reciting Quan Yin, the person causes suffering." So, harming people is ultimately self-harm! The sentence "The one who causes suffering," in the old days To Dong Pha had corrected it, "Both sides are insecure." He said that Buddhism is very compassionate, if saying "The person who causes suffering" means harming himself, wouldn't it be a lack of compassion? His corrections mean: The person who chanted the spell and the person who was being concealed were all safe. Actually, that is a mistake. Why? Buddhism teaches the precepts, liberation, but "except violence for peace." Exclusion of evil is one aspect of good. If they do not exclude evil people, they will harm the honest. If they cheat, or use poisonous drugs and end up unharmed, wouldn't it be encouraging to them? They cannot harm people, but they still intend to harm people. If they cannot harm this person, they will want to harm others, but if that person does not know the concept of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, they can die for them! If they know mindfulness, of course they cannot harm; But people who do not know Guanyin 's Bodhisattva recite a lot, so it is not correct to say "Both sides are unjust". Having to make the wicked people suffer a little bit of their own suffering, they receive the retribution is also worthy, so that they will naturally not dare to harm others. Or meet the evil Dragon, the evil dragon, by reciting the power of Quan Yin All, do not dare to harm. Or you go to a deserted mountain, where there is no shadow of people, and you encounter the demons, poisonous dragons, or other demons. Ma La was exceptionally ferocious, like the Dao people in China who specialize in cannibalism. Poison dragons can also harm people. They usually occupy an area, either in a pond, or in a large river, whenever someone passes through their habitat, they are sprayed with venom, hit and killed. Having a large poisonous dragon, even taking a breath that can cause both the boat and the body to run wild, is so damaging! As for demons, there is not only one thing, but there are many, such as Multi-talented demons, Talented demons, Immortal demons, and so on. They are all demons, but are the leader of the devil, just like the Demon King. " There is light in the mouth, all demons are afraid of light, so they cannot harm you. Or the beasts surrounding the fearsome sharp-clawed Fangs Thanks to the power of reciting Quan Yin Dao rushed away. Evil beasts mean wolf, tiger, leopard, these beasts specialize in cannibalism. There are no tigers in the mountains of the United States, but in China and India there are many tigers. When I was a child, I once went into the mountain, went 5 or 6 days in a place where no one was living, and met these beasts. But I wonder why they don't eat me. The beast's teeth were sharp like knives, and claws as hard as hooks. If you meet such surrounding beasts and know how to immediately recite Guanyin Bodhisattva, they not only dare not harm you but also run away immediately. Why run away? Because Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva has a divine touch (hunch) that makes them, once seeing you, naturally give birth to fear, rushing to flee away. Phuc, in China called Dien beam (snake termite), is often found on the roof fringe. This snake is very much in Thailand, often appears at night and squeals, not afraid of people. It has four small legs, often running back and forth on the roof. Phuc beam is a very poisonous snake. That means a scorpion, if someone is stung by it, they can be instantly hit by death. They all have poisonous gas, it is extremely poisonous! Even makes people lose their lives like playing. Even if they encounter poisonous snakes like that, if they hear your voice chanting " so called beings. It can also be explained: "Beings," is the very birth. You see the Chinese word "them" (眾), above is the word "four" (四), below are the three words "multiply" (人), three people put together a place called "them." What is the most troublesome species of living beings? It is "human" (human). People need to wear clothes, have to eat, have to work, so much is troublesome, not all! But the fully intelligent species is also human. Although animals do not have so many troubles, but they are too stupid, have no intelligence like humans, so they must be directed and dominated by humans. In China there is a saying: Human micro-things chi linh. Human is the most intelligent thing of all things. But the smartest is sometimes the dumbest, again annoying myself, I fight myself. What does that mean? That is when "was miserable." The word "suffering" implies: The world is free from harm, self-harmless people (Heaven is peaceful, and the idiot stirred it up), so there is immense suffering. Without food is miserable, without clothes is also miserable, without a house is also miserable, how much is suffering, forever not end! All day for clothes, rice, house; life in a hurry to seek dress, even snatch something away just to maintain his own life. Why must we maintain our own life? Also because of "suffering" forcing, the result must be taken with immeasurable suffering! Bodhisattva Quan Avalokiteshvara has wonderful wisdom and thought, can help all the world's suffering; so we are human, encounter any dissatisfaction, There is no need to worry about suffering, just reciting Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, all problems can be solved slowly. As long as you are loyal to him, Avalokiteshvara will definitely come to your aid right away. Full of miraculous powers Extensive cultivation of the means The realms of ten directions There is nowhere to appear. What is divine power? Divine powers include sáu type. -The first is the divine eye. With the divine eye, you can see the movements of the celestial beings in the three-decade heavenly heaven (Dao Loi). -The second is the Thien Atrium. With the Atrium, you can hear all the sounds of the ten worlds in humans as well as in heaven. -Thirdly is the compassionate mind, the ability to know the thoughts of others. -Fourth is Túc network information, the ability to know the cause and effect of previous lives. Fifth is the Divine sufficiency, also known as the Spirit scene, ie the ability to fly away, transform freely. - Friday is the Endless Gon. This miracle is not easy to achieve. All demons have their first five miraculous powers, which they alone do not have. Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara fully possesses these six kinds of divine powers, so it is called "Full of divine power." Broadly cultivated means, due to the word " Why? Because you and He don't have any relationship at all! Even his title you do not want to know, do not want to recite, He said: - "Well, it does not want to be friends with me, I should not pay attention to its nowhere." If you want to be friends with the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, you must recite many "Bodhisattva Bodhisattva." Once you recite His name, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva will say, "Ah, I have one more friend. Okay! This new friend of mine if there is anything I will come to help. " Someone wants to know how to be able to prove it. There are many methods. You can diligently recite the Surangama mantra, and you can also gain divine knowledge; or if you recite the Great Compassion mantra and practice the forty-two Eye of the Great Compassion Dafa, you can also have a divine eye. You are deliberately trying to study the Dharma, can be passed on by the divine eye, but the method is very dangerous, I hope people will not apply it. Why? You may remember that when I preached the Sutras of Surangama, there was a mention of Venerable Arahant, the great disciple who specialized in falling asleep. Later, he was rebuked by the Buddha as: - "Ooh, sleep and rest, like a snail, sleeping for a thousand years, not hearing the name of the Buddha." Hearing Buddha's words like that, he was thrilled to exert effort, not sleep anymore. Continuously without sleep for seven days and nights, his eyes were blind. The new loving Buddha taught him to practice Vajrayana Shining Ming Tam Muoi, as a result he was honored as the most divine eye. Ananias is Sanskrit, Chinese translation is Vo Ban (not poor). Why does He have this name? Countless past lives, he was a novice of Bodhi mind, although he had not yet been a disciple of the Buddha but knew the meaning of giving. At that time, He is a very poor farmer. Near his house, on the mountainside there was a Bhikkhu-stilts witnessing the fruit Bich-chi of the Buddha residing. This old bhikkhu every seven days to go down the mountain to turn into a son once, each time only transform into seven houses, absolutely no more; If the seven houses all give alms, they will have enough to eat for seven days; If there was a house without almsgiving, that day would go hungry. Even though the fate was not good, it was still seven days before I went down the mountain again. One day the peasant went to the field, and brought rice to prepare for a meal after plowing, when he saw that the poor bhikkhu descended from the mountain without being able to ask for anything, and arose almsgiving. . He thought: - "Today we should not eat rice, to bring this rice to help that poor bhikkhu!" That peasant man completely did not know that the old Bhikkhu-stilts is a saintly person who attests to the Buddhahood, But the old bhikkhu has a compassionate heart, after observing conditions and conditions, he thinks: - "Ah, I already know why he brought me this kind of rice? The poorest and cheapest rice that the poor people can eat) It turned out that he did not have money, he had to eat this rice every day. This merit is unthinkable. " The Bich-chi Buddha was very happy, praising the farmer: - "As visually, as Thi! You made an offering with a very sincere heart." Finished, the monk went back to the mountain. After a while, the farmer saw a rabbit running towards him, suddenly jumped on his shoulder and stuck it on, taking it off. So scared, he rushed home trying to remove the rabbit. When he removed it, he looked closely at the golden rabbit. He just cut a rabbit leg and sold it for money. Later on, seeing that the rabbit's legs were regrown. Thanks to that, he prospered, from then on, forever after life, there was plenty of money, no need anymore. That was because he made offerings to the Pratyekabuddha of the Buddha with a sincere mind, so he got such great retribution; Eternal and eternal life, "Vo Poor," is no longer poor. That is why Ton fake A-Na-Law is called "Vo Poor." The Sutras of the Four-Tenths Chapter said: "Offering a hundred people doing evil, not equal to offering a good man." Offering a thousand good people, not equaling offering a layperson taking the five precepts. "Offering ten thousand lay people to maintain the five precepts, not equal to offering a ten-precept Sa-di." Offering a hundred thousand Sa-di is not equal to offering a monk. "Offering a million Bhikkhu-stilts is not equal to offering a testimony of Sisters Tu-da-complete." Offering ten million Tu-da-complete is not equal to offering a witness of Tu-da-jaw . "Offering a hundred million Tu-da-jaw is not as good as offering a witness of the Three results A-na-function." Offering a hundred billion A-na-function is not equal to offering a witness of Four results A- "But, you do not count as many offerings as you can count an Arahant, not equal to offering an unsuspecting non-monk. Who is the unsubstantiated monk? That is Buddha. offering countless numbers of the Buddha is still not as good as offering a heartless Dao. The Buddha Arahant makes an offering of a Bich-chi Buddha that is not poor forever and ever, and exceptionally rich. - Not being a Prince and a king will also be the son of a rich man in the world. So we want to avoid poverty forever and ever, then make offerings to the Three Jewels, in the future, we will have a chance to be rich. But when you are rich, there is another problem. That is: "Poor almsgiving, and preciousness learns hard" (Poor, almsgiving is difficult, richness is hard to study), Why is Ananias rich? Because He was poor, he was able to give alms, sacrificing his personal lunch to offer the Three Jewels - thanks to a genuine recitation, he received immeasurable blessings. Usually, the poor do not eat enough themselves. If they bring them, they have nothing to eat anymore, so they say "almsgiving is difficult." How about being rich? Then "study hard." Rich people have money, you tell them to study Buddhism, they will never accept it! Those are two of the twenty difficult things [see the Four-Four Sutras] that we need to pay attention to. The species in the road of evil Hell, demons, animals Suffering from birth, old age, sickness, death Times will make it clean. The evil destinies or evil are evil places, and there are not only one but many. In general, there are four species: -A-tu-la, -nga demons, -spring,-hell. A tu-la, as explained before, they are solid fight; The types of beings who like to fight belong to the A-tu-la. Where did hell come from? It is due to our individual karma that comes about. Whatever crime you commit, hell will appear corresponding to that crime. Hell is divided into many things. The Jizō Sutra says: "The great prison has eighteen, then there are five hundred small hells, there are thousands and hundreds of infinite hells." Is hell like a prison on earth? Since people make a very solid house, wait until someone commits a crime, then put it there? Not like that! Hell is manifested by each individual's crime. If you create negative karma, then a murderous hell will appear; creating a burning crime will have a burning hell appear. By creating any negative karma, that hell will manifest, so the category of hell is not certain. When the karma is finished, that hell will disappear on its own. Karma is not over, then hell remains. In Manchuria where I was born, in Du Tho district, there was the "Liu fairy who gave birth to a pig," he could remember from his three previous lives. First, he was a filial son to his parents, then reincarnated as a rich son. His father was over forty years old to give birth to a son, grandfather. By the time he was thirteen, his parents married him a wife one or two years older than him. His father, though in his mid-fifties, was still strong, and married another concubine, who was close to his daughter-in-law's age. Liu Bei was born with a wife of less than two years and gave birth to a son. Waiting for his son to be thirteen, he married again, and the daughter-in-law was several years older than his son. Before long, his parents died one after another, leaving only his father's concubine. He saw that his father's concubine was so beautiful, so he took over as his wife. Not long after that, his son died again, he saw that his daughter-in-law was also beautiful, so he took the bride as his wife. So, the little mother is also the wife, the bride is also the wife of all; That is called "above will win mother, below will win strawberries." He was only about twenty-eight or twenty-nine years old. Until he was over forty years old, he began to wake up, thinking to himself, "Oh, my whole life committed so many crimes! He was reincarnated into a very poor family, his parents specialized in selling breakfast. A baby born especially from a young age likes to eat and drink so much that his belly gets bigger and bigger. Until the baby was five years old, because the belly was too big and died. After the baby died, his parents discussed together: "Why is this boy's stomach so big? There must be something in it. Let's open it up!" Then they cut open the baby's belly and found it contained a hard diamond-like object. The demon next to him said, "Ah, let's get him to cook oil now!" Then he led him to meet King Diem La, the king said: - Now, make it a pig first! He was reincarnated as a pig, fattened and then sent to meat. After that, he went back to hell to wait to cook oil. He said to King Yancha: - You don't need to cook me anymore, Let me return to the human world reincarnated as a human! And please leave me a pig hand as evidence so that I advise people not to create evil karma. King Yancha said: That's fine! So he was reincarnated into the Liu family. People saw that he had a hand shaped exactly like a pig's hoof, so he called him "Liu fairy born pig hand." This man I met and talked a lot with him myself, so knowing that he remembers his previous life very clearly. That is the cause of the predestined evil (evil way) to be created. Hell is a very dangerous place, I hope everyone should not create negative karma, otherwise suffering is difficult to avoid. Again in Hefin (Harbin), Manchuria, there was a monk, one time Thay was very sick, felt himself dead. After death, the consciousness followed the main road and ran away, running to a place not far from the temple to reincarnate. What do reincarnation do? Be a pig. When he found himself being a pig, he refused to suckle to starve. After starving, the consciousness returned to the master's body. Just awakening, the magician said: - Ah, I just reincarnated as a pig! The next person asked: Where did you come to be reincarnated as a pig? - I feel much less sick now! Let me take you and my teachers together to see it. There have just given birth to seven piglets, I am one of those seven. I deliberately did not suck so I died here. Next to that monk, along with other teachers, arrived there, indeed a family has just had seven small pigs born, including a piglet that has just died. That is the monk who can remember his background, this person I also met. Since this can be seen, being born as a human is not easy, our human body is very difficult. So there is a saying: "The human body is hard to hear, the Buddha's teachings are hard to hear." You try to see, in America, out of the thousands and thousands of people, how many people can hear the Dharma? "Good knowledge is difficult to meet." It is not easy if you want to meet a true intellectual Thien fully understand the Dharma. There are those who claim to be Teachers but even themselves do not know the morality, if they teach you the doctrine, they are just slurred speeches. The hungry ghosts, also due to their karma, are inspired to suffer retribution as such. About hungry ghosts I've explained many times - their stomachs are big like a drum, their necks are as small as needles. Our food once it reaches the mouth of a hungry ghost turns into fire. Why turned into fire? Because their karma is so heavy, whatever food reaches the mouth turns into fire. Speaking of karma, beings in heaven see water as crystal; man sees water as water; fish see water as their home, use water as their palace; Devil sees water as fire. Each species has different realms. That is because of the karma, so the view is not the same. Just now, I mentioned a monk who was reincarnated as a pig. Why? You see there is a lot of money, from morning to night thinking: "Should we bring this deposit to the bank? Take this money to trade. Bring this money to ..." In short, when there is money If you don't count, it's annoying like that! Counting back and forth, counting to gray hair, long teeth, blurred vision, deaf ears, not yet! Counting forever, what do you say? There will be problems. Because there's so much money, counting money all day long, counting back and forth, the risk of being known to the bandits, at night they break the door, how much wealth to save for a long time was robbed from birth. That is called suffering there. This misery is worse than poverty. Because the poor are used to it, not feeling much misery. But when the wealth suddenly dissipates, the suffering is too much. Especially for the elderly, money is not available, all are not as expected. That is also called suffering. Then, the person who is neither rich nor poor, surely there is no suffering? Still suffering. What more suffering? That is the practice of suffering: People from a young age then grow up, grow old, get old and die, the concept of mindfulness changes without stopping. Even without poverty and misery, without the misery of wealth, there is suffering. These three kinds of misery cannot be avoided. There are also Eight sufferings. Three miseries were not less and then piled up eight more! In truth, "suffering" is not only eight, Actually, there are thousands, tens of thousands, thousands thousands of thousands of suffering, not all count. The most misery is being human; making animals happier than making people. So do not do anything new without suffering? Only being a Buddha is not suffering! Why make animals better than being human? Animals do not have to worry about food, nor about clothing and shelter. They have natural living conditions, no worries, you see? Only human beings suffer from all kinds of sufferings, not just eighty-four thousand but also a thousand thousand and ten thousand sufferings. Now they only talk about eight sufferings: birth, old age, sickness, death, separation, resentment, meeting, pray that cannot be, a warm year. Which of these eight suffering do you consider the most? That is suffering! If there is no birth, then what do the other sufferings do. Question: How is suffering? - Well, I know you have forgotten that misery. Now I would like to tell you clearly: This birth is due to the parent's blood, it is due to the intermediate state body until reincarnation. At that moment, you suffer as if being pressed between two mountains like being forced by the mountain in hell, so every time you are born you cry out: "Suffering a! Suffering a! Suffering a!" Pain was like a tortured living turtle at birth, But when I grow up I forget all that suffering. Then the old age overturns, the suffering of old age is no less bad. When old age, deaf ears, people scold are not good; blurred vision, not clear to see anything. It was the ears and eyes that started to "strike" already. Although the tongue is still there, the teeth have already fallen out. Before, I have met some eight or ninety-year-old and asked: - Have you seen anyone losing their tongue? Why are her teeth falling out? He said, "No! Have you seen it?" - I don't even see it. The old man who was at that age but has not seen anyone lose his tongue is so young as I can not see this strange thing! I asked him again: "Do you know why your tongue does not fall? Why in this world there is no tongue falling out, only teeth fall?" - "Why?" He asked. - Because the teeth are too hard, they must break. The reason why the tongue does not fall is because of the soft tongue. Old age is also not too tough. If it's too hard, it will look like teeth can fall out, so learn a little soft. Then what suffering does a missing tooth suffer? Of course, there is no appetite or when chewing food has no taste. That food enters the mouth of other people to chew vegetables and crave it, but when I chew it, I can't chew it. If I want to bite, I won't bite it, and swallows hard and turns into indigestion. Do you think it's miserable? On the face, all the skin was wrinkled, it was "gray hair," the flesh on the face was like bumps, rough and unsightly. And the hair is white. "Gray hair" for Americans does not mean old age. For Westerners, newborn babies have white hair. It is not gray hair of old age, but white hair of youth. However, that is only a special case. Old people's white hair is from black hair that changes color. Black hair can change to white, and white hair cannot change to black, but sometimes it can be changed. Back in Hong Kong, my hair was all gray. Why? Because I built the pagoda, repaired three temples. Oh, it took so much mental damage, it turned gray hair. Later I considered myself: "Ah! Only then will you know: "Ah, a teacher said that old is very miserable, I don't believe it, now I know, right and wrong." At that time you want to practice again, it is too late. The most equality is suffering. Anyone who gets sick much, if not much, also gets sick a little. Headache, head discomfort, leg pain, discomfort, body pain, body is not safe. There are too many things when sick, like having stomachache, then uncomfortable eating, if there is lung disease, the cough does not stop. In short, the organs: heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, every disease is suffering. The most suffering is "death." Someone said, "Damn it? I don't know what it tastes like? I want to know first." Then you just try to die once and see, but no one dares to guarantee that you will live again, so that one try couldn't try it. It's easy to die, but where do you go to die? That is a great matter. After death then to hell? Or animals? Or to be human? No one dares to guarantee that! Being born, old, sick, and dying are all suffering. Why did Buddha Shakyamuni want to leave home? It is also because He knows that birth, old age, sickness, and death are suffering that cannot be easily tolerated. When he was nineteen, one day he was traveling to the east gate, saw a woman in labor, and asked his entourage: "What is that?" - That is the birth of a baby! The entourage replied. Seeing the baby crying and screaming but the woman was also in extreme pain, the Prince was unhappy, and then returned to the palace. The second day the Prince came to the South Gate, he saw an old man, his hair was all white, his eyes were blurred, his back was cuffed and could not stand upright. His feet were shaking, unable to walk steadily, suffering a hundred days, and asked his entourage: - "What's wrong with you? Why is that?" The entourage replied: "The man is already old, his age is too high, so he just came out too shallow." Prince, feeling unhappy, immediately returned to the palace. On the third day, the Prince went to the West Gate again, met someone who was writhing with the illness, so he was not happy to return. On Wednesday, the Prince went to visit again at the North Gate. When he met a dead man, he asked his entourage, "What's he like?" - The man is dead! Again he felt extraordinary sadness, his eyes seeing birth, old age, sickness, and death were the path that mankind had to go through, very miserable, it had no meaning at all. Thinking like that, Prince planning to return to the palace. At that moment suddenly appeared a Sa-Mon, ie the renunciation. The Prince asked again: "Who is that person?" An entourage came to him and asked him, "Who are you?" The Monk replied: I am a monk, studying according to Buddhism so that I can leave the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death. The Monk replied: Anyone can leave suffering from birth, old age, sickness, and death. Buddha Shakyamuni was born, old, sick, and dead did not mean anything. Also do not know where the birth came from? Where are we going to die then? So he made up his mind to leave home, went to Tuyet Son to sit for six years, thereby avoiding suffering from birth, old age, sickness and death. And human? Anyone can be born, but no one is immune to death. All future people must die, some people die well, some people die badly, everyone has a way of dying, no one is like anyone. Some people died of illness, some died of starvation, someone died from overwork, someone was run over by a vehicle, someone was crushed to death by a rock, or a person was beaten to death by someone who went to fight, or I died in the battlefield, poisoned and died, or killed myself. Some people do not want to die but die, sometimes they do not want to die. So copper is a "dead" sound but the way of dying is not the same. Although the way to die is not the same but karmic retribution in the future after death? Also not the same! If someone dies suddenly, like being hit by a car, swept away by water, burnt by fire - that is, at any sudden death - the soul of the Pluto family will not know, Demons don't know either, so are they free? It is freedom, but it is the freedom of the devil, not the freedom of man. The one who is free sometimes doesn't follow the rules, the situation is the devil? A demon that is free may also be irregular; The sudden death (any sudden death) makes someone else take his place. For example, at a certain section of a highway where a fatal car crash has occurred, someone will be killed there within three years. Why? Because the evil spirit of death is already there, it must definitely cause other people to die so that it can be reincarnated, otherwise it must stay there forever, not fall. If a person commits suicide or dies with poison, he must go to hell and suffer extremely painful punishment. What are the penalties? While still alive, if he drank poison and died, Then go to Hell to drink the molten iron water. That water poured into the stomach, where the liver burns there. After being burned to death, the cool wind blowing back and forth was revived. When I came back to life, I had to drink the iron water and burned my intestines and died, and then met the wind again. Just like that, live again and again to continue suffering, die again, constantly. If you can recite Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death will gradually dissipate. In addition to the above four miseries, there is also suffering because "love leaves." This "love" everyone knows. Someone loves beauty, someone loves a reputation. Money lover is also love. For example, there are people who are very rich, planning to do a large business to make a profit, but the business fails to lose all their capital, and the money is gone. He divided with benefit, he did not want to leave money, but the money was no more, is also a kind of compassion to leave. "Sac" is a matter of boys and girls, boys love the beauty of girls, girls love the beauty of boys, both ways love each other, but because the previous life did not cultivate causes and effects, this love could not last long. In that state, it must be broken halfway through. During that time apart, if there is no true love, it's okay to break up; If there is a true love that is attached to it, it will suffer extremely. That is the kind of love that separates the suffering of beauty love. There is also suffering from love and fame. Why is this famous language separate? Someone said this: "Name is the second life of a man." They believe that reputation is their second life, if that second life is broken tomorrow, it will become the reputation lost. Before, I didn't want to lose my name, But because of the momentary mess, the honor is shattered. It is also a kind of separation suffering for fame. This kind of love separation suffering a lot. For example, husband and wife have no separation, but the child born with a beautiful appearance is intelligent, so they cherishly consider it as a treasure. Suddenly, that treasure died, and then weeped and cried in extreme pain. This is also a kind of suffering. Or someone who is very filial to their parents, very respectful and loving, never wants to leave their parents, but then the parents pass away. That is also suffering. Or there are people in extremely favorable circumstances, parents-in-law are all good, but I myself have to die. Even among brothers and friends, there was this disproportionate thing, which in the past did not want to leave but then had to separate; That is also suffering. Knowing that separation is suffering, you should not be attached to that kind of love anymore, Should not bring that kind of love to any one person, but should aim at all sentient beings, practice Bodhisattva to save all sentient beings, not for oneself but think of everyone, then there will be no suffering anymore. There is also this kind of separation love: Someone attaches to love, without suffering, they find suffering to suffer. Like a couple, all day long and only sad. Worried what? Fear that their wife has another boyfriend. So isn't it that there is no suffering in search of suffering? There are also many women who have been married, perhaps the husband is too handsome, so all day long he is not worried about anything other than just grieving his husband has a new beauty, even worrying about rice and not eating. . Do you think that's too dumb? There are also people who do not love anyone, love dogs like their own life; Someone loves cats, treat the cat as your life; until for all living beings or matter there is love. What about this love when it arises? Also very funny. The person who loves the dog when the dog dies, the person who loves the cat until the cat dies, then it is like my life also dies. They cried the dog cat bouts. It is also a kind of suffering. In a nutshell, you for anything, can not see, give up, until there is something special that must be separated that makes you feel great suffering, which is called "Goodbye. lyric suffering. " Someone said: "Just love, but it is so painful? Well, then I don't love anymore, I will hate everything!" "Hate" means not love. There is a mind of hatred, resentment, hatred; For anything, it is not love at all. That is even more wrong. Then, to say love is suffering, What about not in love? Suffering as usual! That is called "Satisfaction with suffering." In this case, you feel aversion, aversion to others, have no relationship with anyone, feel that everyone is not good to you, so you don't like anyone. You don't love people, you don't love dogs, and cats don't even like them. Everything does not fit the eyes, everything is easily angry. Then I moved my house to a different place. After moving, I met a person, something even worse than before! The things you do not want to see, see it the more you hate the more that you often meet. Ah, strange, so strange! If you are afraid of the cat, the cat keeps running to you all day, chasing it still does not go. Do you still hate dogs! The more you hate it, the more entangled you. Do you hate women? Women all day come knocking on the door to find you. You don't like to have to move again, But every place has met the same situation, worse than before! In general, there is no safe or happy day. Do you say suffering? Where does this suffering come from? It is really due to your own nature, so because your own nature lacks concentration. You in this place find that you and your neighbors don't get along, but moving to another place doesn't get along. This is not that people are not nice to you, but that you are not nice to them. Because one feels that there is no predestined relationship with other people, people also see no conditions for themselves. Then feeling good is also suffering, but feeling bad is also suffering. So they must do? Must be with the Middle Way. In short, anything should not be outrageous, because extreme is also inadequate. Resentment of this suffering is very strange! The more you don't want, the more you will face it. The person who did not want to drink, the wine demon stayed with him all day long. The person who did not want to smoke, the demon smoking the handbag again ran to the house. People who don't like to gamble, the gambling demon is inviting every day. Why? Because you have resentment (jealousy), so they come together to make suffering. There is resentment of suffering and separation of suffering because of not knowing the true Middle Way, because it leans on one side, falls on one side, so it is suffering. If you can keep the Middle Way, you will never have suffering. I believe that no one hates "money", but this "money", the more you don't hate it, the more you love it, the less it will come. The strange thing to be loved but not come is "Prayer of grief." Love is suffering, hate is also suffering. Whenever we love, we have a wish, but often we cannot pray. There are people who want to be prosperous all their life, so they work diligently and bear all kinds of bitterness. From the time I was born, I hoped to have a fortune, but until the moment I died, my talent was still not distributed, making a poor ghost. That is unbearable prayer there! Some people feel that being a mandarin is very interesting, so they find all the ways to be a mandarin, but in the end they can not do it in the end, that is also a prayer. There are people who pray for fame all their life but can't pray for a lifetime. Someone who has no children wants to give birth to an intelligent boy, a beautiful girl, but the prayers are still not satisfied, it is also a prayer. Many people all their lives, if you don't pray for one, then pray for the other, but you can't pray for anything. Someone who goes to school wants to be a doctor, but since his previous life did not cultivate a good basis for studying, so he learned to grow old with blurred vision, deaf ears, read dozens of books that a Doctor's degree cannot reach. In ancient China, there was a person named Luong Hao, who went to school until 82 years old to pass the Poinsettias, but passed the status to death soon. Although praying, but not enjoying is already dead. That is also suffering. East bridge cannot be East, West bridge cannot be West; in short, you pray without being satisfied. That is suffering! There is also "The Five Warmth and Suffering." What is the kettle? That is materiality, feeling, perception, action, and consciousness. Tam Kinh says: "Form is no different from zero, no difference between rupa; materiality means no, no materiality." If you consider them to be nothing there will be no suffering. These five qualities of warmth, warm longevity, warm thoughts, warm onions and warm waking up when being extraordinarily strong are very miserable, but one cannot leave it. The previous seven things of suffering belong to suffering (filthy suffering), but the perception of this practice is inherent in the nature, always attached to you, wanting to leave also cannot. That is called the Five Warmth and Suffering. Pure innocence of the vast Wisdom insight Bi Quan and From Thuong Vay often admire. Pure footsteps: What is "footsteps?" That is Chon shop. Chon does not mean no human form, self, beings, and fake feeling. That is called right where the general left the general. As I said before: Eyes see form, in no; Hear the sound, the mind is not. Clearly there is a sharp image, why is it "in not?" It is because there is no attachment. "Not consistent" is the same as Dai respectable. In Dai Dai respect, although there are objects, it appears, if there are general, then if there is any realm, the realm of that realm, but it does not leave a trace. The feet of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara are the same. What is "pure contemplation?" Because for defilements, it is pure. Why is it called pollution? Whenever there is attachment that is defilement, having attachment in front is also defilement, and having attachment is also defilement. Chastity does not have all greed, hatred, and delusion; avoiding greed, ignorance and ignorance are not pure. For example, giving. Usually people give alms or have these thoughts: "He is related to me, he is close friends with me, or lives in the same neighborhood with me. That is called almsgiving. Internal talent is to bring body, mind, nature, head, eyes, brain, marrow to the bones of the limbs are all giving alms. "If it is possible to bring this body to save all living beings in the world, I would like to give alms to this body, dedicate to the world, to my heart also give alms to you, my life also asks you. If someone needs my head, I'll decapitate and give it to them. " Just as he was when he practiced Bodhisattva, someone came to ask for an eye, he immediately hooked one eye out for that person. Who would expect him to say, "You're wrong! It's not like I asked for this eye, that eye!" Then Mr. Xa-benefits-waving the Bodhi mind, thinking: "Ah, the Bodhisattva is difficult to practice!" So if you want to support Buddhism, you must come to listen to the sermon, you don't have to spend a lot of money to support the Dharma in support of the ashram. The clergymen must wholeheartedly support the ashram to make the ashram more and more develop better. Dharma protector is the main protector of Buddhism; to maintain Buddhism is to uphold the Three Jewels: Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. It is your personal responsibility. Dhamma is more valuable than giving away a lot of money. Currently, you are actively studying the Dharma, some people want to leave home. That is a rare job that can be said to break records in America. There are many people like that who want to become ordained, want to be monks, to be bhikkhunis, it is impossible to think about. You must build the foundation and orderly and for the money of Buddhism in America, every individual should assume responsibility. Must think: "If we still have a breath, then this work of promoting Buddhism is also my responsibility!" If someone says they want a little bit of responsibility, then they should rejoice; shouldn't say I take the responsibility, you can't take it. So say: The responsibility to promote Buddhism is everyone's duty. Should not give up, you should stand up, make the uplifting of the Dharma as your task, that is the basic condition of the dharma. In addition, there is also Fearless. As Bodhisattva Quan The Am saving seven victims, detoxifying three, responding to two requests, are all non-fears. Fearlessness means that when others have fear and fear, about to die, you can show fearlessness, practice fearlessness to comfort them. What is called the fearless embodiment? If someone was caught in a fire, almost burned to death, surrounded by haze, who did not know where the northeast was, did not know which way to get out of the fire. At that moment you, regardless of your life, tried to jump into the fire and pull him out. This can be said to be not easy to do. That is called the life-saving discharge to save sentient beings, which is also Vo-free. Or if someone fell into the ocean, about to drown. You see that, regardless of your own life, immediately determined to jump into the water and pull him ashore. Not only fire water, until in the war, gunfire, someone was shot or wounded in the battlefield, life like a thousand pounds hanging hair. In the meantime, you energetically think nothing of your body, take care of your own life, jump into such danger to save people. Those are all called Fearless. Again, If someone encounters dangerous yokes such as imprisonment, robbery ..., a critical life, or has been in a coma, you can use clever means to save them from danger. danger, that is also the Chaplain. In short, even when people are in a situation of extreme fear, you use compassion, courage, promote a spirit of fearlessness, the spirit of not being afraid of anything to help all sentient beings. . You can also practice Fearlessness indirectly. Just like the Bodhisattva, he does not cultivate directly, but indirectly. How does he practice? He knew that if he wanted to cross a river, he needed a bridge. If he had no bridge, he could not cross the river. If he took the risk, it would be dangerous to his life. Then he used his strength, imitated the ancients, used a few boards or a wooden tree to form a bridge, keep people across the river in danger. Although there are bridges, it is not in danger, but if there is flood water, it will be dangerous to life. Like the old monk, when he descended from Cuu Hoa mountain to go to Cao Man pagoda to attend the meditation retreat, he remembered that there was a wooden bridge in Dinh Cang, so he followed the old way to go there and planned to cross the river, I would have doubted that bridge. just been swept away by the floodwaters. As a result, he fell into the river, stayed in the river until one day and night, after 24 hours, he was picked up by a fisherman. At that time the fisherman thought: - "Ah, this is a fortune! That is also the practice of fearlessness. The method of fearlessness is very large. In short, when people are afraid, you should give fearlessness. If you don't have selfishness, you don't have attachments either. Without attachments there is no defilement; without defilement then liberation. To be liberated is to be enlightened, and to become a Buddha. So our defilements are the worst, worst. That kind of breed, most of its life in the past were animals, and now together, reincarnated as people in a country. I replied, "People and animals are both, because the American people are made up of people from the countries of origin, so it is a collection of people and animals." Really, it's not a joke. If you have a Buddha eye, open the eyes of wisdom, but want to know what that person was in the previous life or what the previous life did, then look at the shadow (shadow) behind him; because the shadow of the previous life still follows this life. In the past, if they were human, in this world their shadow was human. If they were animals, their shadow was animals. If they were demons, then their shadow was demons. Only one who can open the Five Eyes can see clearly. If the Five Eyes cannot be opened, it will be impossible to distinguish. So if you meet someone, don't assume it is human. How to know this problem? If you have divine eyesight, it is easy to know. As long as you try to make use of your spiritual practice, you want to know what you want. Currently in the other country (it's not like I cursed people), the majority of people are rats turned out. But in it there are many rats, there are also many people, many demons and animals. In short, every country has horses, cows, goats, pigs, dogs of all kinds. People also turn out of these beings. This ethics is so wonderful. Ordinary people do not believe this because they do not. If there is no good root, wanting to hear cannot come. When we want to come, without this evil being born there is also another evil arisen; in short, it leaves you with no way to hear the sutras. Inside the body there are infinite numbers of microorganisms, each microorganism is a living being. So how many microorganisms are there? Countless many! In short, as many as eight and four thousand. Actually, not only are there eighty four thousand, but ten thousand eight thousand is also not certain. So in each of us the nature of the complete eighty four thousand beings. But from the outside, Then the beings in this world are not only eighty four thousand! Eighty four thousand beings in the conference is also eighty four thousand thoughts in each individual's mind. The mindfulness of arising and passing away, the mindfulness of not stopping, the thought of being born is a being, the thought of cessation is also a being; There are eight, four thousand beings, arising and passing away, without leaving the nature. Eighty-four thousand beings all generate the Equality mind, the mind has nothing equal, nothing comparable, that is, A-nums-multi-la Tam-mieu Tam-bodhicitta.
