Buddha Venerable Tathagata Tathagata Testimonial Lieu Nghia Chu Bodhisattva Van Hanh Thu Lang Nghiem Kinh. Addendum: THE BUDDHA THE KNOWLEDGE BUDDHISM Prologue of Lang Nghiem Sutra: Delegate Dharma Explanation of the Name of the Sutras of Dependent Origination Translators Prologue The Editorial Board of Lang Nghiem is a sutra about direct human heart, knowledge into Buddha. In 1968, Senior Venerable Tuyen Cong at the Buddhist lecture hall in Old Jinshan City (San Francisco), USA, opened a summer retreat and gave a lecture of "The Sutra of the Surangama" for 96 days with the participation of more than 30 students. American University. This is the first step of propaganda in the West of the Montagnard. The content of the study includes: Four types of Thanh Tinh Minh Hoi, 25 saints of Vien Thong witnesses, 10 trainees, 6 delivery newspapers, 50 kettles, etc. Teach us from basic to initiation, from the nature up to the practice of self nature. The purpose is to help people eliminate crazy delusions, destroy righteous delusion. From charm but back to the edge of feeling. At that time he was teaching sutras once a day ... Slowly increasing to two times, three times, four times a day, at times peaking up to six times a day. The students and the practitioners all meditated. After the lecture period of Thuong Nhan with students to discuss the possibility of penetrating the scriptures. Then he answered the unknown public doubts and gave more emphasis on how to meditate. The explanation and methods of practice here are very important, integrating the study of scriptural discussion with practical meditation practice. The first creative method in the West. In order to allow students to study diligently, Thuong Nhan aside from lecturing the scriptures three or four times a day, He also undertakes all the big and small things in the temple such as buying vegetables, cooking, washing dishes, cleaning ... This is the spirit because the dharma forgets the body. These actions still make people respect. It was observed that most of the students who came to listen to the Dharma were young Westerners who were still primitive, Chinese was not their native language. Therefore, the Venerables and the great virtues preached the sutras in easy-to-hear white voice. They depend on the sentence to analyze the interpretation. Teaching the essence of Dharma to fit the students' ability to perceive Chinese, that is: "Penetrating and still easy to understand". Hope that Chinese readers can assemble the meanings by themselves, not because of the complexity or ease. understanding of the text that removes the profound meaning. Through here we should also promote the Dharma in a clear and righteous way, making this Lang Nghiem sutra widely circulated, so that the people of the Buddha family later have a place to rely on the practice of practice. If that is the case, then the Dharma will remain permanent. Due to the limited equipment available today, the teachings recorded by Thuong Nhan cannot be perfect. If you go here and write down, it is difficult to avoid the shortcomings and errors. So in the years 1970, 1974, 1989, 1990 ... we asked Thuong Nhan several times to teach additional Chinese texts to enlighten Buddhist students. Just like people take more money to put in gold. In addition, in 1987, Thuong Nhan presided over a lecture on the topic: "Subjective Mindfulness of Dynamism" about helping people to develop methods of brainpower. Bringing wisdom to research and understanding Lang Nghiem sutra, each person teaches or criticizes himself, exits additional knowledge of sense, give unique opinions. Senior people draw the dragon eye points, analyze the commentary to highlight more main ideas. This can be called a contemporary martial artist. Unfortunately at that time, he only explained the entire volume one, then stopped. Later, when Thuong Nhan traveled everywhere propagating the Dharma, saving the world, his physical strength was unavoidable and exhausted. Therefore, his body could not control himself to attend this conference. "Lang Nghiem Kinh Thieu Translated", the first edition, fully understood by the contemporaries, so Thuong Nhan's statements on the translation of the scriptures, they all arbitrarily added, removed, and arbitrarily modified much less. Although the words are thoughtful or beautiful, subtly, but the content has changed, losing the profound meaning and style of the great man. Later on, the Montagnard strictly instructed the printing and repair of the sutras. The "Tomb of Nghiem Thieu" was edited for the second time. But mainly the remodeled and important kites are derived from the five warm ghosts. Over the past 10 years, the human resources for compiling the scriptures have been somewhat limited, so he has deployed to assign cooperation abroad. This year, Thuong Nhan teaching sutras has begun to be carefully recorded. He made a very thoughtful profit, with the desire to restore the status quo, preserve the original text, and bring all means for the reviewer to read and listen to the scriptures. This new sutta not only supplemented some of the great sutras preached, but also has a part of his commentary in "Subjective intellectual dynamism" to differentiate further clarifications as appendices. Luckily nothing went wrong. Or if there is an overlap, Thuong Nhan also tries to integrate into the original translated text. If synonymous, remove, if missing, add. If there is an explanation or new development, he will not put it together, but put it in the appendix in the following paragraph. Each idea has a caption for easy reference. Again, the document on the new document is very rich, so there are many small books divided, which is also convenient for readers. This edition, in serial order, in the sense that the book is divided, not y by book or y by number. For example, the talk of "25 saintly witnesses" occupy both volumes 5 and 6. Sometimes including a volume. Sometimes occupy a separate copy. It is very convenient for researcher to find and read. It's like talking about 50 pot potions, starting from volume 9 until the end of volume 10. If you put 50 potions in the same book, it is even more convenient for readers. According to this, most of them go from volume I to volume II. The editor intentionally clarified the problem in volume II, so there was also a deviation with the original and complete nature of the text. Finally, according to the teachings of Thuong Nhan, after 2 times of training are completed. Because this editing also influences great master Vien Anh's curiosity, there is clear coherence, front and back are consistent. If you see a great virtue, if you see any places that are not clear enough, please analyze them for further instructions, so that the next sutta will be more complete. This is my sincere wish. The article is written in the Americas House. In August 2006, Sutras in Lang Nghiem: Representative of Dharma All Buddhist sutras are very important, especially the Surangama Sutra. Wherever there is Kinh Lang Nghiem, there is Dharma in the world. Kinh Lang Nghiem is no longer available, the French End of the world immediately appears money. Kinh Lang Nghiem is the foot of the Buddha body, the Sutra Pitaka is the relic of the Buddha, Kinh Lang Nghiem is a tower to worship Buddha; Therefore, all Buddhists need to bring their best strength and ability to support and preserve this Sutra of Nghiem. The Dharma Ending End says: "The Dharma End, the Sutras of Mausoleum die first, the other scriptures gradually cease afterward." If the Surangama Sutra is not destroyed, the Dharma will manifest money. Therefore, we are Buddhists, need to use our own life to uphold the Sutra Pitaka, bring out all our strength and ability to uphold the Sutra of Nghiem, make the vow to maintain the Suttas of Liang Nghiem, makes Kinh Lang Nghiem permanent, expands vastly, circulating in each micro-particle, circulating to all parts of the world, making the Dharma Realm disappear. In this way, the aura of the Dharma will shine everywhere. Why was Kinh Lang Nghiem destroyed first? For this sutra teaches very truthful teachings, The pagan demons could not stand it, so they used all kinds of ways to destroy and destroy. At first, they created a distorted rumor, saying that the Surangama Sutra was not given by the Buddha, but was fabricated by the next generation. That is the misrepresentation of the pagan term, using evil tricks, deliberately destroying "the truth." The content of the Surangama Sutra is the commentary of the Four Pure Things, The Fifty Realms of Warmth, and the narration of the twenty-five Saints about his spiritual practice. The whole sutra can be likened to a "love mirror," which makes the devil love, the pagan subject, must show the original form, no place to hide. Therefore, we should not believe in distortions and rumors that the Kinh Lang Nghiem is a "puppet business." In recent years, there have been some ignorant scholars and stupid Christians, not aware of Buddhism, not understanding Buddhism well, but dare to put things outrageous, wildly criticizing the teachings of saints. These unconscious people, because they do not have the wisdom to distinguish their false legs, listen to what people say, they just say so, they only know "draw the way for the enemy to run," encouraging others to do bad things, so New proverb said that the Sutra Surangama is not a Buddhist doctrine! Students who learn the Dharma need to not only deeply understand the teachings contained in the Surangama Sutra in order to make the Dharma Dharma a permanent existence and the evil dhamma to be forever distant, but also must promote the Surangama Sutra — all over places are displayed Kinh Lang Nghiem, everywhere are preaching Kinh Lang Nghiem, and everywhere are uphold Kinh Lang Nghiem. The Buddhist follower should be dedicated to this responsibility. Today I assure you one thing: to ensure that the Kinh Lang Nghiem is truly "true scripture"! If the Surangama Sutra is a "false sutra," then I vow to fall to hell because I have not realized Buddhism, "taking fake as a foot," so I am committed to voluntarily receive retribution. It is because the Sutra Pitaka is the "true scripture", so I have made an eternal vow to promote Dafa of Lang Nghiem, proclaiming the truth of Lang Nghiem. Try to think: If the Surangama Sutra is not declared by the Buddha, who can preach such true magic? I hope that the critics of the Kinh Lang Nghiem Sutra will quickly repent and correct their mistakes, otherwise they will definitely fall into hell cutting their tongue! I pray for those who recite the Surangama Sutra, the preacher of the Lang Nghiem Sutras, the proclaimers of the Surangama Sutra people circulating Kinh Lang Nghiem, all were soon to become Buddhists. The important reason is that the ethics that Kinh Lang Nghiem preaches is both accurate and reasonable, can make love of ghosts and demons. At the same time, it is possible for Buddhists to have true faith, maintain mindfulness, and persistently support the Dharma. Great Buddha Venerable Tathagata Tathagata Witnessing Lieu Nghia Bodhisattva Van Hanh Thu Lang Nghiem First volume Sino-Vietnamese book: Great Buddha Tathagata Tathagata Tathagata Tathagata The Bodhisattva Van Hanh Thu Lang Nghiem Kinh. Lecture: "Great Buddha, Tathagata Tathagata, Tu Evidence Lieu Nghia, Van Hanh Bodhisattvas, Thu Lang Nghiem." These nineteen words are the name of the sutras, plus the word "sutras", a total of twenty words — these twenty words are the title of the sutras. The above nineteen words belong to the "nickname" (proper name), while the word "Kinh" belongs to "common name" (common name). What is a nickname? "Special" is discrimination; "Nickname" means to be different from the sutras — the titles are not the same. The word "sutras" are similar, like the scriptures, because they are similar, so it's called common sense. Known is communication with the sutras, nicknames are the difference of this sutra. So, the title of each sutra is not the same, and there are two parts: common name and nickname. The title of the sutras declared by the Buddha is classified into seven categories, called "the vacant foundation." These seven types of subjects cover all the Tripitaka, the Twelve Sutras taught by the Tathagata, and are divided into three things, namely, the single three, the tam (song tam) and the most specific. Three-set proposal (three types of application). "Single trip" is solitary and has three types: 1) Single multiplication. As in the title Amitabha Buddhist scriptures, "Buddha" and "Amitabha" are both human — because Buddha is human, Amitabha is also human, so it is called a "monolithic basis." 2) Legislative proposal. As the Sutra of the Great Eight Nirvana, "Great Eight Nirvana" is dhamma; Because only the Dhamma is used to name the sutras, the headings of this sutra are of the kind of "single law set up." 3) Application form. "Example" is a billion examples. As Kinh Pham Vong, "Pham Vong" is an example. This sutra is like the treasure net of King Dai Pham. The three types of headings above have only one thing that is human (person), or dharma, or example in the title title, so they are collectively referred to as "a simple three-set proposition." -The third set of topics (three types of dual thesis). This type of headings is established by two of three factors — the human, the legal, the example — and consists of three categories: 4) The legal person makes up. As in the title of the article “Văn Thù” of Bát Nhã, “Văn Thù” is human, “Bát Nhã” is dharma. Because there are people and there is a law — using human names and legal names to turn into business names — so it is called "the legal person set up". 5) Example of an example. As the Tathagata, the "Tathagata" is the person, "the Lion King" is an example; that means when the Buddha sermon, the sound is as majestic as the roar of a lion. This is called "the premise example," using human names and examples to name the sutras. 6) Legal example set up. As the Lotus Sutra: "Dieu Phap" is Dharma, "Lotus Flower" is an example, so this heading belongs to the category of "set up legal example." -Most serious. "The most specific" is a kind of instrument, full of all three factors of human, legal and example: 7) Specific proposal (a full topic). As in the title of Kinh Dai Phuong Quang Hoa Nghiem Buddha, "Dai Phuong Quang" is dharma, "Buddha" is human, "Hoa Nghiem" is an example. This sutra uses flowers to simulate the multiplication of the ten tenuous degrees, take thousands of people and flowers to solemn result and noble virtue. So, the title "Dai Phuong Quang Phat Hoa Nghiem Kinh" is full of both human, legal and example, so it belongs to the category of "specific thesis." The titles of all sutras are none other than the above seven categories. You consider the headings of the hundreds of thousands of sutras in the Tripitaka are included in these seven types of themes. As a teacher of the sutras, for the seven kinds of subjects that need to be understood, they can explain the scriptures. If not even the seven types of propositions are understood, how can they be taught to others? If I have not been able to enlighten myself, how can I teach others to enlightenment ?! So this point is very important. These seven types of propositions, for anyone who is a practitioner of the Dharma, should know. Don't be like people who have only read about two and a half books, less than three more books, even a "nonsense, "A" discriminatory subject "they also don't know, let alone the Seven Semifinals, the Mythical Five, and the Distinctive Ten subjects ..., yet dare to pat their chest claiming to be a Magician, a Taoist Professor of teaching beings! If you do not understand the Buddha's Dharma properly but dare to teach the sermon, it is just leading people to hell! Even they themselves must fall to hell but they themselves do not understand why! Those who followed them too, did not know why they fell into hell. This is too pitiful! Therefore, a person who learns Buddhism needs to truly understand the Dharma, rightly possessing wisdom, and then go to teach sentient beings, so that they can not be misled. The doctrine taught in the Surangama Sutra is extremely limitless. This sutra lecture, I do not teach according to the mystical Five-fold (five layers of hypotenuse) of Thien Thai Tong, but according to the Distinctive Disciplines (ten distinct subjects) of Hien Thu Tong. Hien Thu Tong and Thien Thai Tong are the two major sects of Chinese Buddhism. The shamans who teach the sutras often have one who understands Thien Thai but does not know Hien Thu, or knows Sage, but does not know Thien Thai, so at the time of teaching the sutras, there is no fearless tolerance. Now I will follow the distinguished Ten disciplines of Hien Thu Tong to teach this sutra of the Great Buddha Venerable Thu Lang Nghiem. Distinguished disciplines, ie ten doors to distinguish all Buddhist scriptures, including: 1) General likes the title; 2) Start teachers and cause conditions; 3) Tibetan photography under the 4) Meaning profound; 5) Proficiency in the Church; 6) Department is suspected of; 7) The special beast; 8) Pre-post theory; 9) Intelligent infusion schedule; 10) Literary interpretation. I. General Thich Danh De This is the first distinction subject, explains the name of the sutras in a general way. Seven types of set up above are seven methods to distinguish the names of the Buddhist scriptures. Now let us "like the title," analyze the title of this sutra. This sutra is called: "Great Buddha, Tathagata Tathagata, Tu Certify Lieu Nghia, Bodhisattva Van Hanh, Thu Lang Nghiem." The first word is "Great." Why is it called "great"? Because this sutra contains four great greatness, great cause, great cause, great action and great effect. "Great people" (great cause) means Secret Nhan, unlike other causes. This is the secret kernel, the cause that ordinary people do not know, the pagan cannot understand, the Second Yayana has not yet discovered, so it is called "secret person." This "Tantric" is extremely large, so it is called "great." "Great meaning" (great meaning) ie Tu Certified Lieu Nghia, This sense is also very large. "Great deeds" (great deeds) is Chu Bodhisattva Van Hanh, this behavior is also very great. "Great results" (great results) ie Thu Lang Nghiem. Because this sutra is full of four great and great factors above — great cause, great meaning, great action and great results — should be called "great." "Buddha." You often say, "I follow Buddhism, I study Buddhism"; But do you know what "Buddha" means? "Buddha," fully called "Buddha-da-da," is a transcription of the word Buddha from Sanskrit. Because the Chinese like to simplify, so remove the last two words "da-da", only use the first word "Buddha." Some people consider the word "Buddha" to be Chinese, in fact it is not, because it is just a phonetic language — the writing is in Chinese characters, but the pronunciation is not. Then, if translated into Chinese, what is the translation of the word "Buddha"? "Buddha" translates as "Enlightenment." "Enlightenment" means enlightenment. There are three types of enlightenment: self-awareness, enlightenment, and perfect enlightenment. "Self-enlightenment" means that you have enlightened yourself, no longer confused; therefore, different from ordinary people. The realm of the self-enlightened person is not the same as that of the noble, unenlightened people like you and me today. The Buddha was enlightened on his own, but he saw that it was not enough, so he also wanted to "be forgiven". Enlighten yourself and then find ways to help others to be enlightened as well, which is called "enlightenment." In one's own enlightenment (self-awareness) and other people's enlightenment (enlightenment) there are many different classes and levels because each person's identity is not the same. Enlightenment has little enlightenment — incomplete enlightenment, and great enlightenment — full enlightenment. The Buddha had attained great enlightenment, and was able to make others enlightened. When the voluntary self-consciousness has been fulfilled and the enlightenment is also complete, it is called "Completed Enlightenment" or "Enlightenment." The Buddha is "triangular, all virtues" —He has fulfilled all three of enlightenment (self-awareness, enlightenment, enlightenment) and full of thousands of virtues. Why must we believe in Buddha? Because Buddha is us! We are all basically Buddhas, but only because we are currently confused, we cannot attain Buddhahood. Why say we are all basically Buddha? Because the Buddha once said, "It is imperative that sentient beings possess the Buddha nature, the stage of Buddha's creation." (All sentient beings have Buddha nature, and can become Buddhas.) If all sentient beings have Buddhahood, why have we not yet become Buddhas? Just because of delusion, attachment! There is delusion, there is attachment. We don't think east and west, we don't think south, we think north, think above, think below, fantasy fantasies on heaven and on earth, there is no place to think. Expect too much, unbelievable count. You say, how many delusions do you have in a day? Do you know how much there are? If you know, then you are already a Bodhisattva; If you don't know, you are still noble! We are not only delusions but also attachments. Attached to what? The attachment of "I" and "mine," so all material enjoyment cannot be let go of. For example someone said, “Ah! This plane is mine ”; or: “Ah! This is my car, the newest one! " Whenever there is something, attachment, cling to it — the man has the attachment of the man, the woman has the attachment of the woman; Good people have the attachments of good people, The wicked have the attachment of the wicked ... No matter what they are attached to, those who have attachments cannot let go. They keep clinging, grasping forever, the more they have, the more attachments! However, having attachments is not a good thing! The attachment to enjoy is like eating delicious food, staying at a beautiful house, traveling and enjoying everywhere; is that good for you? Not sure which is good, because you must know that it is because of the desire to enjoy that we cannot become a Buddha! So the Buddha said, "Because of illusions and attachments, all sentient beings cannot attain, cannot become Buddhas." The Buddha also taught: "Frustrating heart failure, listing Bodhi." (If the end of the mind, the end of the Bodhi.) That is the ethics in the Kinh Lang Nghiem. "Madness" means pride and pride of each of us. It is the mind that enjoys high things, the mind contemptuous of others, claiming to be intelligent, more talented than everyone else. There are even people who are inherently ugly, but say, "Ah, I'm beautiful!" You see, such a great attachment! I am inherently ugly and unsightly, and again I am very beautiful, that is all attachments. If you can stop this frantic attachment to the mind, the "list of Bodhi" —focus just over, is Bodhi. What is Bodhi? It is enlightenment, enlightenment; After enlightenment, it is not far from becoming a Buddha. If you can stop your own maddening mind, that's good for you. Of the three types of enlightenment, "self-enlightenment" is the difference between our ordinary beings, those who are not yet enlightened, and the Arahants and Buddhas, who have self-enlightened. "Bich chi Buddha" is Sanskrit, enough to call it the pratyekabuddha (Pratyekabuddha). The Noble Phantasm of the Buddha is due to cultivating the Ten two conditions and conditions that enlighten to the Path, while the Arahant is attained by practicing the Four Noble Truths. "Self-awareness" then distinguishes sublime and secondary yayas, and "enlightenment" distinguishes between the second yana and the Bodhisattva. What is "forgiveness"? Enlightenment means to make others enlightened, and this practitioner of this vow needs to have the mind of Bodhisattva, the selfless heart of the Bodhisattva. "Enlightenment" can also be said as "beneficial to forgive," to benefit others. Who can practice selflessness? It is the Bodhisattva! The Bodhisattva differs from the Second Vehicle because the Pratyekabuddhas and Shakyamuni only know self-awareness but do not attach importance to enlightenment; Bodhisattva then develops the mind "enlightenment, forgiveness, benefit." The text is Arahant, the Pratyekabuddha is the Buddha's Bich Chi, the Bodhisattva is the Bodhisattva; So is the end of the Bodhisattva with Thanh Van and Dependent Origination as one person, two people or three people to cultivate? This can be said to be a person, three people can also be said; why? Because there may be a person who first practices Thanh Van, then practices Dependent Origination, then from Dependent Origination that cultivates the Bodhisattva's Six Degrees of Virtues — a person who covers everything, practices many virtues, many methods. like that, so it can be said to be a person. However, it can also be said to be three people; why? For example, there are people who cultivate Thanh Van, after being enlightened, they just want to do "self-drought," if they do not progress, and if they are enlightened themselves, they do not care about others, so they stop at the level of Arahant. then it is a person. Suppose there is another person who, after cultivating to Arahant, progresses to the throne of Pratyekabuddha, and in this position, no more progress; So it's just two people. Adding a person like the above, that is, first cultivated Thanh Van, then again cultivated the Pratyekabuddha, then from the Dependent Origination that practiced the Bodhisattva's Six degrees of action, should become three people. So, of the three types of enlightenment, attaining Buddhahood is only self-awareness, not enlightenment; to the Bodhisattva is to forgive. Bodhisattva is due to practice Six degrees of Van Hanh — Luc Ba la secret and solemn thousands of happiness — that. After becoming a Bodhisattva, but still diligently practicing the practice of Bodhisattva, practice until perfection — full enlightenment — then become a Buddha. So, if you want to "feel full of happiness", you cannot leave the Bodhisattva's conduct. Satisfaction is the difference between the Bodhisattva and the Buddha. The three types of enlightenment, here only say that much, but in terms of practice, it is very different, in each level there is a degree, in the difference there is a difference. Complete these three aspirations of enlightenment and become Buddha. "Thank you." "Attitude" (peak) means the supreme place, nothing can be higher. As our head is called "top of the head," on the top of the head is heaven, so there is a saying "in heaven," that is, the head of the sky, the foot of the ground. Not only men but also women, can "face the world"! Then the three words "Great Buddha Venerable" though not explained, I believe that everyone understands — that is only for the top of the head of the "Great Buddha," a great, great Buddha. How big is that Buddha? Is it as big as the Buddha image worshiped in this main hall? In fact, this Buddha image is not a "Great Buddha," but just like a drop of water in the sea, a small speck of dust in the three worlds; you should not mistakenly think that it is a "Great Buddha." The "Great Buddha" is immense and great, second to none. He was big but not great, but there was no one greater than Him — that is called “true greatness,” true greatness. So, Which Buddha is this? This is a Buddha that vanishes everywhere, nowhere without. So where is this Buddha? He is not in any place! Then, where is He not? There is no place that He will not be! You say, how big is He? You have no way of measuring the magnitude of this magnitude. To what extent is true greatness? Until the great character is gone, nothing is bigger than that — that is the greatest, greatest. Then who is the greatest "ultimate"? It is the Great Buddha. Who is that Great Buddha? It is you! It is me! Someone wondered, “But I'm not that big, and as far as I can see, I'm not that big. So why do you say it is you, and also you? " If it's not you, not me, what do you say! ? It is because of the relationship with me and with you, that the sutras are mentioned! "Then, how can you and me be that big?" The Buddha-nature that you and I are inherently full of is very large and it is this Great Buddha. This Great Buddha is huge, nothing like that, so it is called "Great Buddha." Now we are not only talking about the Great Buddha, but also about his top form. This Great Buddha, which is nothing greater, is higher; However, being taller than the Great Buddha is "prostration," the crown of his head. And, on top of the head of this Great Buddha appeared another Great Buddha. How big is that Great Buddha? That Great Buddha, we cannot see, so in the verse of the Mantra Surangama it is said: "In view of the general, radiating the Tathagata, declaring the mantra." "Inseparable form" —this direction is not exist, because is "unbiased" (not see)! If you can't see, why say there is a Great Buddha? Seeing but not seeing, that's really big; why? Because it's so big you just can't see it all! If it's not big, why can't you see it? Someone wondered: "How can I not see?" Something is so small you can't see it, if it's big, you will definitely see it! ” If it's big, can you see it? The sky is so vast, can you see it all? You don't see all the way! The ground is so vast, can you see the whole thing? Can not see it all! Because not seeing is really big. If it's not big, you can see it right away! Inseparable form of the Great Buddha's generosity; how big is that aura? You think, being a Great Buddha, Could He have a little aura? Of course, there must be a great aura! A big Buddha is a great aura. This great aura was shining everywhere. Someone wondered: "Does it refer to my body?" Referring to you for a long time! Now you must be wondering, "Then why don't you know anything?" Do you want to know? I used to tell you: "The mind of Thanh Thuy appears lunar eclipse, The intention of heaven is endless." (The mind settles, the water shows the moon, the intention, the sky is cloudless.) If your mind is at maximum purity, the Buddha's aura will come. The impure mind is like a dirty, cloudy lake, the moonlight cannot penetrate; If the water is deposited in, the moonlight will reveal the lake's surface. If our mind is pure, the Buddha's aura will shine on our mind just as the moonlight shines on a clear lake. “No-nonsense natural intentions,” your conception, if calm, is like a clear, cloudless sky — this realm of magic cannot be said. If you can truly purify your mind, you can obtain the concentration of the Tomb of Nghiem Dai Dinh. "Tathagata." "Like" is "unrealistic," means nothing that is not as motionless. "Lai" means "no place any future," that is, there is no place that does not come. "Like" is the deity of the dharma. The deity of Buddhism is "like," the use of Buddhism is "hybrid"; That is the word "utility." Buddha is "as motionless, coming but not coming"; should say: "As motionless, Come come again, Come but don't come." If so, where did He go? Don't go anywhere! Then where did He come from? Nor from nowhere! In the Vajra Sutra, it is said: "False Tathagata, no future possessions, herons without past." Not coming to me, nor coming to you; but also in you, also in me — that is "like a hybrid." "Tathagata" is one of the ten emblems of the Buddha. At first, each Buddha had a thousand titles, and later it decreased gradually because people could not remember. Initially, each Buddha reduced to a thousand titles; but a thousand titles could not be remembered, so it was reduced to a hundred titles. At that time, each Buddha had a hundred different titles. However, sentient beings still cannot remember, so they reduce, reduce to only ten titles. These ten titles, also the general title of each Buddha: 1) Tathagata. "Tathagata" means to rely on realism to become enlightened, to become a Buddha. 2) Respect. "An offering" means worthy of being offered by God and by the offering. 3) Right Samadhi. 4) Minh Hanh Tuc. 5) Good News. 6) Supreme Si. 7) The Tribe Phu. 8) The Sphinx. 9) Buddha. 10) World Religion. Each Buddha has ten such titles and Tathagata is one of those ten titles. "Secret Person." What is honey? That is the concentration of each of us. Why is it called "secret person" but not called "man"? The samadhi is available for each person, all of which are fully capitalized. No one does not have one, but they themselves do not know; because we don't know, so we call it "secret person" - turned into secret. This secret is the essence of concentration — the samadhi of the Tathagata and also the samadhi of all sentient beings. Everyone has this samadhi, but they do not know for themselves and have not discovered it yet; because I do not know, so it is called "secret person." "Tu Certify Lieu Nghia." What is this secret for? To be a spiritual practitioner. We need to cultivate in order to have realization. Need to practice, But how to practice? Participating in meditation or reciting the Buddha's name is all practice, but the word "tu" here is only for the practice of meditation, specializing in meditation can attained. Achieve what? Achieved "willow meaning." What is "willow"? "Meaning" is the meaning. "Willow" means the meaning to clarify, sufficiently, completely, that is, it has no meaning anymore. Then is that nonsense, doesn't make any sense? The word "willow meaning" here means a complete, no-redundant realization of all worldly and worldly dhammas — nothing to cultivate, nothing to prove. That is also what Vinh Gia Dai Su said in Testimony: "The unbelieving army: Great education is free of humanitarianism, Regardless of the idea of disobedience?" (Do you see: Ending school, no-action, humane, No minus hope, not praying?) "Excellent school" is the ultimate learning, the learning that has nothing to learn anymore; "No action" is not doing; "Nhan humanity" is a person who is leisurely, pure, leisurely, and does not do anything. "Regardless of delusions, disillusionment with feet": Not except for delusions, nor for truth. Why "not minus delusions"? Since all are subtracted, there are no longer delusions, so they don't have to subtract. "No more praying for the feet," because the truth has been reached, so there is no need to pray. You have not reached the new need of bridge; and the person who has reached the truth does not need to ask any more. If we have not completely subtracted new delusions, we need to subtract these delusions. If they are gone, we do not need to subtract. "Willow" are just these ideas! "Willow meaning" also implies that all the meanings of the Buddha theorized have been learned to the end, learned that there is nothing to learn. "Impossible meaning" (meaningless meaning) is still meaningful. By the time the meaning is no longer, dry but pure, it will reach Tantra, have the righteous body, and that is the "practice" of success that reaches the realm of "willow meaning". If you do not cultivate, you cannot attain this realm of "willful meaning". So, "willow meaning" is also great meaning, great meaning includes all meaning. Someone asked: "But you just said willow that means nothing more?" Is not really "yes" (right), if you still "have" then it is not really there. So, after attaining meaning, there is no longer the meaning that can be attained, but has reached its climax, which is called "willow meaning." To what level is the climax? It is to reach the realm of the Buddha, attain Buddhahood. "The Bodhisattvas of Van Hanh." To reach the realm of the Buddha, it is necessary to practice the Bodhisattva path, so say "the Bodhisattvas of the great virtue." “Well, "I mean a lot, a lot of it." How much? Countless many, in general, there are fifty-five degrees. Fifty-five steps (later will come, now not elaborated), including the Ten Faith, Ten Pillars, Ten actions, Ten Dedications, the Four Family, Ten, and Buddha. Each rank has thousands and tens of thousands of Bodhisattvas, so these fifty-five steps are not only fifty-five, but an infinite number of Bodhisattvas, so they are called "Bodhisattvas." And "Van Hanh" is what? "Van Hanh" means many spiritual practices. "A lot" is how much? There are eighty-four thousand disciplines! It should be said that eighty-four thousand virtues, here in the title of the Sutta is simply "ten thousand deeds." "Van Hanh" is the practice of the Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva not only practices Van Hanh, but also has to practice the Sixth Degree. What is the level? These are: 1) Almsgiving; 2) Preserve gender; 3) Patience; 4) Diligence; 5) Meditation; 6) Praise. There are three types of almsgiving, giving, and fearless giving. "Tai" means all money and wealth, something that everyone loves and cannot let go of; it is also the dirtiest, most impure thing in the world. Our money is counted again, through the hands of not knowing how many people, contains countless germs. In Buddhism, money is considered an "impure," impure thing. "Impure" is because money is not clean. Why call money unclean thing? First, because the source is not pure, not clear, such as from theft or robbery. Because of improper background so it is called "impure." Someone said, "The money that I earn from my work is not impure!" The money you earn, although your background is justified, But the money itself contains a lot of germs! You see, money is not that clean, but everyone likes money, just hold your fingers and count it back and forth. Some people even put their hands up when counting money to make counting so easy, so it is easy to spread infectious diseases! Money is not that clean, but everyone loves money — the more money you can get, the better it won't be enough. All the money America gave me, I don't think is too much; If you give up all of you, believe that you also do not criticize too much! However, the more money, the more troublesome matters! What's the problem? I couldn't sleep, I was restless and rethinking: "I have so much money, where should I keep it for safety?" Then just because of money but lost food, sleep, awake like calculations! Capital is not a good thing, Yet everyone cherished as their own life, could not let go. If you can let go, it is giving. Giving to others is the practice of Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva who cultivates the Sixth Century, the first thing to do is giving alms — giving money and wealth to others, helping others, and that is called "talent." However, giving is not an easy thing to do. The human mind is "yin and yang relations of origin," that is, the junction of yin and yang; it is also "sensory and fighting field," that is, the battlefield between reason and sex ("reason" is ethics, "sex" is human desire, desire). For example, when you see a person in difficult situation, without food, your mind wants to give him a penny to buy food, so you put your hand in your pocket to take out money. But at that moment, a second thought arose: “Wait! If you give him this coin, I don't have money to ride the bus, have to walk home, or… just don't give it! ” So, the first thought I wanted to let go, the second thought of me, I thought about putting the money back in my pocket, and didn't want to give any more. It just happened like that, from small objects to large objects, from one dollar to ten dong, hundred dong, thousand dong, ten thousand dong, and ten thousand dong all were like that — which wanted to give out to give alms, to recite first I wanted to let go, but the second thought thought of myself: "I want to go eat, I don't have money", so I cannot help others. Talent is not easy! Some even have the thought: “I give alms, give money to others, I am too foolish. Why don't people give me alms? " Often while you want to give alms, at the same time, you also generate the mind that wants to benefit yourself; Therefore, almsgiving is easy to say, when it comes time to do it, it is difficult. The second kind of almsgiving is legal. "France" means giving. Now I teach the sermon is also the giving of the Dharma. There is a saying: "For the middle offerings, the Dharma offers to the evening." (Of the types of offerings, the Dhamma offering is the highest.) Why? Because giving money is limited, giving giving money is not limited. As I teach the sutras now, if you listen to a sutra and then be able to enlighten, truly understand, attain a triumphant realm, my merit will be great. Why so? Because I have been teaching sermons to help you become a Buddha, you can become a Buddha because I teach you the sermons; so the merit of the law is the greatest. The third kind of almsgiving is fearlessness. What is fearless alms? It is comforting, advising people who are experiencing bad luck, disaster, or rebellious things. What is rebellion? These are things of robbery, fire, or dreadful things. When people are terrified and afraid, we give people comfort to help, advising: "You should not be worried, anything can be slowly resolved!"; That is fearlessness. The other day someone lost her wallet, I saw her worried expression, she asked me: "Oh! I lost my money, what to do now? " I said, "You shouldn't be worried, you'll get your money back." As a result, my words were fulfilled, she returned to her old place and found it, still not lost. It is also fearlessness — making others alleviate their fears and worries. Here I give only small problems as examples, big problems are many; But if we know small problems, big problems are easy to understand. Above is a brief talking about generosity, ie the first degree in Six degrees (Six degrees). The second degree is precepts. The most important thing in Buddhism is the precepts. So what is the world? Morality is "only evil prevention" - "only evil" is to suspend, end all evil deeds; "Non-defense" is to prevent all wrong sins. What is wrong, not right, is called "phi"; if it is true, it is called "thi." Precepts are also "evil works, they practice good" —all evil deeds are not done, all good deeds are done. Now I tell you a story. As a child, I did not understand much about math, did not know how to calculate. Why say I don't know the calculation? I don't have money, but whenever I have money, I bring it to someone else — one penny gives away one penny, if there are two pennies, I give both of them, I don't want to keep the money myself. This, is it too foolish to say in common sense? Not understanding how to help myself, just helping others — I was like that since childhood, always wanting to help others. Helping people is to benefit people, to benefit people who is the Bodhisattva who develops the mind. The bodhisattva generates the mind that wants benefits for others, not benefits for oneself. The Bodhisattva would rather endure the hard work and endure on his own, and not make others unjustly suffer. We have to generate such mind, that is called forgiving mind. The mind of forgiveness is the bodhisattva mind, the bodhisattva mind is "they are good to practice" —all good deeds must be done. We should not encounter anything, also compare and calculate: “To recalculate to see if we have a loss or not? Was it ripped off? Are there any benefits? " For example, You need to buy something, go to a lot of shops to look at the goods of this company, look at the other brands, calculate and compare: "The price of this company is cheap, the goods are beautiful, buy this brand. more profitable! ”; So he chose to buy. I wonder if it was a fake chemical made, it looks very beautiful, looks good, but it has not been used for a long time. So, even if you want to benefit, the result is loss. It's called just knowing your own self-interest, just wanting to bring your own benefits. We need to think about others as well, not just calculate for ourselves. So, the main precepts are: "All evil works, They practice good." How many types of gender are there? About there are many types! The layperson learns Buddhism after taking refuge in the Three Jewels. If you want to take a step further, you need to take the Five Precepts (the Five Precepts). After taking the Five Precepts, If you want to take the practice one step further, the home person can take the Eight Precepts (Eight Precepts). Further more, there are Ten precepts (Ten Worlds), ie the Sa di world. After being ordained and taking novice ordination, you have to take two hundred and fifty precepts if you are bhikkhus, or three hundred forty-eight if you are bhikkhunis. Bodhisattvas also have the precepts of the Bodhisattva. The Bodhisattva precepts include the ten major precepts and the forty-eight contemptuous precepts. If you commit ten serious precepts, you will be guilty of a very serious sin. Once you have committed it, you cannot repent; Offending precepts can repent and correct mistakes. When the Buddha was about to enter Nirvana, Sun fake Ananda invited the Buddha to teach only four things; one of the four things is: “When Buddha was alive, we took Buddha as our Teacher, Buddha was our Teacher. Who will be our Teacher after the Buddha enters Nirvana? " The Buddha said to Ananda, "After I enter Nirvana, You must take Precepts as Teacher. " That is to tell the monk, all monks and nuns must "of course, take the Precepts and become the Teacher". Therefore, if the housekeeper wants to pray for ordination, he must go to the monk to pray for the precepts. And, this ordained monk must be a bhikkhu, because monks and nuns are not allowed to ordain. (In the Buddha's precepts, monks and nuns do not allow ordination.) So there are many kinds of precepts such as novice, bhikkhu and Bodhisattva precepts. We want to cultivate the Tao, we must take the precepts. If you can keep the world pure, it will be beautiful, shining like a pearl, and extremely precious. A few days ago, I gave a lecture on Lawyer Dao Tuyen (Tang Dynasty) on Chung Nam Mountain, he, due to his strict precepts, came to make offerings from heaven. Therefore, the moral world is extremely important! If a student learns Buddha, if he does not follow the precepts, he will just like a pot with a bottom hole, pouring much water out of it! Our body is smuggled, there is liberation. If you can observe the precepts, it will gradually become unjust. This illegal morality, I cannot now openly tell you. If you want to learn the illegal method, one by one will ask, I will explain to you, because now it is not possible to openly explain. This time the Lang Nghiem Dharma Assembly is the most arduous one, and also the most difficult one — every day from six a.m. to nine o'clock in the evening. Someone said, "Even in school, you don't have to study that much!" But our current school is the school "liberating from birth and death," the school "corresponding solution." () Giang Kinh Lang Nghiem is "solution, "Meditation is" doing "- doing together, understanding and practice must go hand in hand; That is called "the field pedal, the practical body," a little bit is not easy to be negligent, a little bit cannot deceive yourself. If you lie to people, you are also lying to yourself. Now I say you have been deceived, in fact it is not a deception. That is just to help you solve your own samsara problem, and to bring you the greatest benefit in the future, so you must definitely "solve, practice" and practice at the same time. In the lecture on "work together," now I give an example: There is a blind person and a paralyzed person living together, and there are a few other people in the house to help them. One day, everyone was gone — it wasn't that they went to Lecture Hall Buddhism to study the Sutras, but went fishing, swimming, shopping, shopping…, in general, doing things that the world loves — only the blind and the paralyzed stay home. Suddenly, on that same day, their house caught fire. What do you think they have to do? The blind man cannot see the road, so he cannot run; Paralyzed people see, but cannot run anywhere. You say there is slanderous, dangerous, right !? The blind people are about to be burned to death, the paralyzed people will also be burned to death! At that time, an intellectual Thien came to tell them, “You two can escape from this burning house. It is only necessary to take the eyes of the paralyzed person to the blind to use, lend the legs of the blind to the paralyzed. At that time, the two men will cooperate with each other like 'a langur, a child', to support each other and help each other. " Taking the "baby langur" to compare, the visualization is a bit too much; but I'm afraid people don't understand, should only give a specific example. So, how to lend the legs of the blind to the paralyzed, use the eyes of the paralyzed person to use it? Did it take the eye out of the paralyzed person and then place it on the blind man's eye? If so, then without a doctor, it would be impossible to have surgery, even having to remove the eye wouldn't be of any use. If the blind man's legs are grafted to the paralyzed leg, it is not easy to do it, nor does it have a specialist doctor. So what to do? That is called "human resources doubt, the right to achieve," () means the blind to carry paralyzed people, the paralyzed person shows the way for the blind, tells the blind to go right, turn left, or just go straight. The blind man has legs, but has no eyes, cannot see, so he must obey the instructions of the paralyzed. Thanks to the Thien intellectual show, both people can save themselves from the house of fire. Explaining this meaning, people should not misunderstand my meaning, but say: “You say you are a blind man! Teacher said you are paralyzed! " You are neither blind nor paralyzed, nor am I paralyzed or blind; I just know this doctrine so I use such an example to teach. This is not about you, it is not about me; But it's also about you, it's also about me! Therefore, we should not be complacent, we should not assume that we have understood a lot, our wisdom is vast. Because, if so, why don't you become a Buddha yet? It is because you are too complacent, thinking that you have learned a lot of knowledge! In fact, to learn something, you will be hindered by that, if you have many intellectuals, you will be obstructed by the intellect; you have great energy and you will be obstructed by your energy; without obstacles, it is impossible to become Tao. Now we should let go of the discriminating thoughts "I, you, them," no longer need them. Make these thoughts calm, calm, peaceful, make your stomach empty. For what? To contain a magical taste like the "theme lake" of the ultimate magic! I remember last year a laywoman (she is currently a PhD student) confessed that in her mind "there was a lot of garbage, a lot of garbage, not clean up"; Really? So, now I'm going to take your word and say: Let's each of us throw away garbage from our mind, wipe out the debris in our mind, and then go to the sermons, then can be "heard a thousand enlightenment," easily understood! Now talk more about the subject of the business. "Van Hanh Bodhisattvas" - "Bodhisattvas" that is, includes all Bodhisattvas; "Thousand virtue" is the multitude of deeds that Bodhisattvas must practice. Bodhisattva, then cultivating the Six Degree of Van Hanh; The above mentioned two degrees are generosity and morality, so there are four more degrees. So, the third degree is patience. There are three types of patience, namely, the birth of a ring, a Dharma ring, and a non-birth Dharma ring. The fourth is the Brahmin diligence. "Diligence" is energetically moving forward, not backing away. In the Lotus Sutra, in Pharmaceutical King Bodhisattva, it is written that the Bodhisattva of the Medicine King burned himself to the Buddha — he wrapped cloth around him, sprinkled aromatic oil, and then before the Buddha burned himself to make offerings. If you want to know more, you can study the Sutras, which say very clearly in the Medicine King Bodhisattva. Why did Bodhisattva Pharmaceutical King burned the body to worship Buddha? Because feeling the Buddha's grace is very deep, very great, it is impossible to repay, so he decided to burn his own body, mind, and nature to make offerings to the Buddha. How long did his body burn? A long, long time to tell. Thien Thai Tri, the Great Master when watching the Pharmaceutical King Bodhisattva in the Lotus Sutra to the passage: "The truth is diligent, the name of the Buddha is diligent," (that is the true diligence, which is called the truth offerings), then he entered samadhi. In the concentration, he saw the Linh Son Dharma Assembly, saw that Buddha Shakyamuni was still there to lecture, change the great dharma wheel, and teach beings. He immediately realized the Dharma Hoa Tam-muoi. He entered the Siddhartha Dharma, and attained "Da-la-ni Nhat Trien." this. The merit of burning the body of the Bodhisattva Medicine King is unbelievable; That is true effort. Not like us, plucking a hair on our body is also sorry, can't help it, so there is a saying: "Most awe-inspiring, non-virtuous." Plucking a fluff that is beneficial to all people, doesn't do it either. Why so? That is because of selfishness, only knowing self-interest but not knowing the benefits, so it is not called diligence. Fifth is the Brahmin meditation. Meditation has the Four Jhānas. In the Surangama's Sutra there is said to be "the first of many things" (nine consecutive meditation steps); So wait until the main text I will explain in detail, now do not go into detail on what to do. What are the Four Jhānas? Now I will briefly introduce the realm of the Four Jhana. "The Four Jhana" includes first meditation, second meditation, three meditation and four meditation. In the First Jhana realm, your heartbeat stops beating. Up to the Second level of meditation, your breathing will stop; the nose no longer breaths in and out. Is it dead then? No, it's just a state, a kind of realm. How about coming to the Three Meditation? At that time, the consciousness will pass, the thoughts will also pass. The realm of the First Jhana is "renunciation of bliss. When you reach the realm of bliss, your heartbeat stops beating, but feels extremely happy yourself, which is called "the birth of bliss." At the First Jhana, concentration is still not solid. Coming to Nhi meditation, which is the realm of "birth of joy and happiness," then the concentration is more solid than in First Jhana. Then the breath ceases, the outer respiration arises, the inner respiration arises. We are all outer respiration, not inner respiration. If you can breathe inside, you won't die, you can live as many years as you want; But after a long life, it turned into "demon keep zombie", keep guarding this "rotten leather bag", What use is it? Tam meditation is called "the glass of joy and pleasure." "Hy" also left. If a practitioner says happy, it is joy, very joy. Tam meditation is called "the glass of happiness," this kind of bliss is extremely wonderful. "Ly Hy," left the joy, but attained this wonderful world of bliss. The realm of the Four Jhana is "to let go of pure thought," to let go of mindfulness. To enter this fourth kind of concentration is to take a step on the path of Tao. However, you should not think that it is too wonderful to have the Four Jhana, because it is only preliminary, to start taking a step towards Buddhahood, but have not yet attained Arahantship. By then, all things in heaven and on earth you can know, but if you know it, you should not be attached to the realm. That is roughly the realm of the Fourth Jhana. The eight intentions to talk about are very long, and have not yet been preached for now. The sixth degree is the Prajñā Ba Bala. "Praise" is Indian, Chinese translates to wisdom. What is "wisdom"? Ordinary people think that the worldly intelligence is wisdom, in fact it is not. "Intelligence" is the worldly mind, is the knowledge of the world; And "wisdom" is the worldly wisdom. The knowledge of science, philosophy, vocal, optical, electric, chemical, etc., all that science invented is worldly wisdom, not worldly wisdom. So what is worldly wisdom? That is the wisdom of becoming Buddha. "Wisdom becomes Buddha" is not just one category, but three types. Why the word "Prajna" is still the same, not translated? Since the term "Prajñā" contains three meanings, it is classified as "multi-function without translation," one of the Five Sects without translation (the five types without translation) —that is because it covers many meanings, so it cannot be translated. . So, What are the three types of Praise? These are: 1) Prajna texts. All scriptures in the scriptures are Prajna texts. 2) Contemplation of Prajñā. Prajna contemplation means wisdom from contemplation, reflective reflections, counter-text of nature. Your eyes are used to looking out, now not looking out, but having to look inward, which is called "reflective reflections" — returning to mirroring yourself. You can return the reflection, that is called Prajñā reflection. "Quan" is contemplation; "Projection" is the illumination spectrum projection. If you use the light of wisdom obtained by observation to radiate the darkness, enlighten your interior to become pure, free of debris and defilements, then it is “contemplation of the Bowl elegant "so. 3) The Noble Truth of Prajñā. In addition, there is also the most ineffable and most wonderful kind of Prajñā, that is the actual General of Prajñā. What is the reality? Bat elegant reality is the "willow meaning" that this sutra refers to. Willow meaning is also the real reality, the reality is also willow meaning. You may not understand what "reality" is and hesitate: "This noun is very strange to me, I do not know how this term is explained!" Now I tell you: "Reality" is willow meaning, willow meaning is the real reality. So, what is reality? "The fake reality, the wild form, the department of the wild general." "Reality" means there is no general, but nothing is without a general. You said it has no generals? Everything is a general, so it is called "reality." "The form is formless, the faceless faceless form." This realm, if you understand it, you will become Buddha's neighbor, only one step away from Buddha. But this realm is easy to say, but attaining is not easy at all. Although not easy, but we also have to think of ways to go on this path. If you find it difficult, do not go away, such as saying, “I want to go to New York, but it is too expensive to go far away, it also costs a lot of money to travel by plane or car. Well, I don't want to go anymore! " If you don't go, you won't be able to come to New York forever, you don't know what the face of New York is like! The same is true of becoming a Buddha — you want to become a Buddha, but because you are afraid of going too far, it takes a long time, so you "aspire to become a Buddha" () that: " Oh! Why is it so difficult, I don't study Dharma anymore! I want to find something that is a little easy to do! ”Then you will never become a Buddha forever !! If you don't want to become a Buddha, there's nothing more to say, that is up to you But if you want to become a Buddha, you need to work hard to overcome all the difficulties! There is a saying: "Humanity is false, a child who follows plans. Human beings, first of all, are bound to go through a series of hardships and then be able to achieve ease. Co Duc has a saying: "Most disgraceful in the session of radical healing, Apricot blossoms and fragrances? ”(Not spending the freezing winter, how can apricot blossom bloom fragrant?) Apricot flowers in China are full of fragrance, not compensating for apricot blossoms in America, without any fragrance. The Chinese apricot variety is different, one or two miles away people can still smell the faint scent of flowers in the wind. Why the apricot flowers are so fragrant? Because apricot trees flower in the middle of winter, they have to endure the bony cold of cold winter, so the flowers give off a very fragrant scent. Talking about the Noble Truth of Prajñā, Is there someone yes, someone not? Not so! Each being has this kind of Prajñā, each being has the real form of wisdom; but like the "secret person" in this sutra — just because we don't know how to make it manifest; Our precious inherent property, which we do not know, must be indigent. Our Prajñā nature is an inherently complete reality, but because we don't fully understand it ourselves, we turn into a poor person with respect to the dharma. Kinh Kim Cang said: "Phàm possesses the general, the stage is expected. Disrespecting the non-generals, the idea of Tathagata. " Everything that has the appearance is a temporary fake; If you can come from the form of form and know formless, you can see the Tathagata. You understand the deities of the Dharma, studying the full origins of the Dharma is like seeing the Buddha. Seeing the origin of all Dhamma is seeing Buddha. Therefore, this Noble Truth is the wisdom that each of us possesses, we need to open the door of this treasure of wisdom, to be able to manifest our own "original face". . In the past, we did not know that there was Prajñā General, for example, there was a full gold mine that no one knew. Although there is gold, if no one knows to dig it up, it will not be visible. Someone knew that there was gold in the mine, but didn't exploit it, so they didn't know it, and couldn't get it. So what to do? It is necessary to unearth the gold mine and then use labor force to exploit, dig, filter, to get pure gold, and then the gold will appear! What is that? We each have a gold mine, but we don't even know it. That gold mine is actually Bat elegant. Now, we listen to the sutras, know Prajnaparamita, but we still cannot use Prajñā General, we cannot unearth our own Prajñā "gold mine", which is also not known. Those who develop a mighty mind of spiritual diligence, go out openly to excavate the "gold mine" of the reality in their own nature, the inherent Buddha nature will manifest: "Ah! I am Buddha! " Right! All people are fundamentally Buddhas, as Shakyamuni Buddha once said, "It is imperative that sentient beings possess the Buddha nature, the stage of Buddha's work." (All sentient beings have Buddhahood, and can all be Buddhas.) Yet, we cannot say, "I am Buddha, because 'all sentient beings have Buddha nature, can be Buddhas.' Buddha says I am Buddha, I am Buddha! I don't need to practice anymore. ” You don't cultivate, Like the other gold mine, you know it is a gold mine, but if you don't work hard to exploit it, can you get gold? Of course not! Therefore, everyone must practice hard! Just now, it was about the Continent. "Six degrees" also known as Luc Ba la secret. Then what does "paramitas" mean? "Balaam" is Sanskrit and implies ultimate success. What succeeds, fullness, is called the Brahmin. If you want to learn Buddha in order to become a Buddha eventually, then to become a Buddha means the Brahmin. If you go to University hoping to get a PhD, you will pass a Doctorate degree. My stomach is very hungry, so I want to eat rice, then I have to eat it. You want to sleep, then lie down to sleep, that is also Bala. Patience is the Brahmin, diligence is also the Brahmin, meditation, almsgiving, precepts, Prajñā — all are Brahmin. Completed something successfully, fullness, they are all called Ba la honey. In Chinese, "ba la" means pineapple, and "honey" is molasses, which implies sweetness. Therefore, it can be said that to complete a job satisfactorily, or to taste the sweetness of the fruit, it is all called "Brahmin." So, the above is talking about the Sixth degree Three la secret, the conduct that Bodhisattvas practice. Everyone can learn the Bodhisattva to generate mind, practice the Bodhisattva, work in the Bodhisattva — that is, the first bodhisattva. Bodhisattvas are unselfish, never saying, “Only I can be a Bodhisattva! You cannot be a Bodhisattva, you cannot compare with me. " Not so! Not only can we be Bodhisattvas, but we can also become Buddhas. Everyone can be a Buddha. I believe that every person present here, especially those who have studied Buddhism for a long time, knows that they can become a Buddha, So I don't talk much about it. "Thu Lang Nghiem." Now preach to the word "Thu Lang Nghiem." "Prime" means the first, the first, the first thing. What is the top of a job? Is Lang Nghiem. "Tomb of Nghiem" (Shurangama) is Indian, translated as "necessarily permanent salvation." What is "necessarily"? "Necessarily" means all things. All the mountains, houses, rooms, all humans, things, degenerate placenta, types of problems, morality ... - all included in "the necessity." "Necessarily" can be thoroughly solidified, that is, it is possible to obtain the essence of samadhi, the attainment of the "secret person." Must obtain the concentration of "secret people" to be able to attain "willow meaning." Evidence to the level of willow meaning then, if you practice the Sixth degree of Van Hanh's Bodhisattva, you will attain great virtue. Dac great virtue and then the achievement of the great results of "necessarily solid end," that is, the great results. So, this "Great Buddha Danh" is "great people, great meaning, greatAlmond, great effect. " Due to having achieved the miraculous place of these four types of "great", so it can be called miraculous, can be called magic meaning, can be called magic action, can be called miraculous results. Although the four things "cause, meaning, action, and effect" have already obtained the word "magic", the word "magic" still cannot completely replace the four meanings above, so we use the word "great". "Necessarily the permanent end" is concentration. "Concentration" is different from "uncertainty"; "Concentration" and "uncertainty" are two different things. What is called "uncertainty"? As if we want to do something but hesitate, do not make a definitive decision, we want to go south in our heart, but our feet do not obey, just go north; or mentally want to do a good job but cannot control, so being attracted to the bad — so called "uncertainty," uncertainly. Likewise, if you work without conscience, it will not be permanent, permanent. "Consciousness" is the mind that is always constant. Therefore, now we study the Sutra of Nghiem, everyone needs to meet the three conditions: persistence, city, and eternity. 1) Consistent. "Kien" is solid, forever immutable. For example say: "I decided to study the Sutra of Nghiem, no matter how difficult I am, I will study until I understand the principles in the sutras!" You cannot "hit the drum to retreat," you can't just go halfway and give up. Someone said: “Studying for a few days but still cannot understand. A! It's too difficult, stop learning! " That is called "selling scraps," half-done, abandoned; it is not solid. 2) Citadel. "Thanh" is earnestly sincerely, not to forget the concept of recitation. If you study the scriptures, you need to "get really mad," () have fun but forget to sleep: “I decided to come here to study the Sutra of Nghiem, I definitely study until the end. I lay there but not sleep, at this moment I am not thinking of anything other than the morals heard in the sutras! " 3) Hang. "Hang" is eternal, not changed. You should not have learned two or three days to change your mind and want to withdraw: “Wow, this sutta is so difficult to understand! Dharma is so dry and tasteless, studying back and forth doesn't find it interesting. Well, let's go to the park or somewhere else to finish. Classic research has no practicality; Now is the era of science and technology, but just study these old books, it's not interesting at all! ”; because there is no conscience. Without conscience, it is not "a solid end." Having conscience is a solid end, being sincere is also a solid end. If you have a steadfast, sincere mind and a permanent mind, the more "solid end." Not because circumstances change change, it is samadhi. Above is the general meaning of the nineteen words in the nickname of this sutra. Now I will explain the word "sutras," the famous word of all the sutras. Kinh. " "Sutras," called Tu da la (Sutra) in Indian, translated as "Kinh khau." "The contract" is the contract - above, the contract with the teachings of the Buddhas, below, the contract with the base of beings - the non-human is "the contract, the contract" is called "business." What does "sutras" mean? "Sutra" is the way. Why is it called "the road"? All the sutras can help us from ordinary to attain sainthood and Buddhahood results, so "sutras" are like the path. "Sutra" has four meanings, I have already taught it before, but there are many people who have not heard it, Now I will explain again. The four meanings are: 1) Contemplation; 2) Photography; 3) Usually; and 4) France. 1) Shop. "Contemplation" is "contemplating the basis of the theory" - the meanings that the Buddha theorized are linked in the sutras like using a string to tie together into a chain. 2) Photography. "Photography" is "photography of the grassroots." What does "muscle" mean? That is for any being, what is the appropriate sermon, what is the sermon of any being; so he said: "It depends on the candidate, depending on the disease for medicine." Because this person should sermon, it is called "depending on the person giving the teacher." "Depending on the disease for medicine," that is to see what a living being has, then give medicine to treat that disease. So is also called "consistent base of teachers," based on the basis that teaching the Dhamma suit. 3) Usually. What is "normal"? "Ancient invariants in lowercase" —has been called "ordinary." The classics have not changed from past to present. a word is not removed, a word is not added; Because it does not change, it is called "normal." 4) France. And what does "dharma" mean? "Three Worlds follow the writing of the Dharma." The three worlds are three generations — past life, present life, and future life. Beings in three lifetimes must obey the Dhamma in the sutras to cultivate the Path, become a Buddha, and educate sentient beings — all must follow the Dharma to do it. Because of the full four meanings of "consistent, regal, often, French" should be called "business." "Kinh" is like a magnet with the ability to attract iron. Beings such as bars of iron, iron encounter magnets immediately being attracted to - that is the meaning of the word "photography" just said above. Dharma likens blocks of magnets, sentient beings like bars of iron. An iron magnet means to attract and pull the iron toward the magnet. Kinh Lang Nghiem can be called "magnet Department" Lang Nghiem. Usually the magnet is very solid, But the Surangama Sutra is more solid than that —when they "suck" any sentient being, that being is no longer perverted, not to hell, neither as a hungry ghost, nor as an animal. Why so? Because it has been firmly "suctioned" by the great firmly, if you want to run, you cannot run. If you want to escape, it is not done. It is very magical! The entire Buddhist scriptures are divided into twelve sets (the two sets of sutras), also known as twelve categories, twelve subjects or twelve sections: 1) The whole school. The first set is the Row Field. What is "school of goods"? In the sutras, it is common to use the form of literature with each row and very long, so it is called "field row" (prose). 2) Duplicate sets. These are the verses (rhymes) that are "recited," reiterating the meaning of the row above. 3) Tho signed set. What is "life expectancy"? In the sutras it is often mentioned that Shakyamuni Buddha pre-noted for a certain bodhisattva very clearly, such as: "In a (certain) life, you will become a Buddha, the name is (something)". , life expectancy (how long), education (how many) beings, in the national level (any) ... "It's called" life life. " Buddha Shakyamuni in the past was also registered by the Buddha Nhien. When Buddha Shakyamuni was in the realm of the Bodhisattva practice, praying for the Buddha's teachings, you guessed how his sincerity was shown? While practicing the Bodhisattva path, he used to "cover the mud" for Buddha Nhien Dang to step through. What is "covering hair to cover the mud"? Buddha Shakyamuni, while practicing in the land, practiced all kinds of austerities. One time, he was walking when he saw a bhikkhu also coming and was about to pass a very muddy road, rain water stagnates in pools. Then, Shakyamuni Buddha, guess what he did? "Oh!" He said. This place is so muddy, this monk is very old, and if he is not good, he will get all wet! " So, he lay down on a puddle, and invited the old monk to step on his body and go. Now, there is still a muddy spot that his body cannot cover up. Because he was afraid that the bhikkhu's feet would get muddy, he pulled his hair out and spread it over the muddy place so that the bhikkhu would not pass through his feet. Surprisingly that old monk was Buddha Nhien Dang! Witnessing such a sincere offering, Buddha Nhien Dang was very happy, saying, "As visually, as visually"; that is: "He 'is like that,' I am 'the same'." What is "like that"? That means the Bodhisattva's practice is "like that." Because Buddha Nhien Dang in the past practiced the Bodhisattva “the same, "Should think that the practice of" as such "is correct, and immediately take the life record for Buddha Shakyamuni:" In the future, you will become a Buddha, the name Shakyamuni. " Therefore, in this life Shakyamuni became a Buddha. In that past life, because he was touched by the devotion of Shakyamuni, Buddha Nhien Dang signed for him. 4) The predestined relationship. Due to the infinite number of conditions and conditions, the theory of countless methods. 5) Example set. "Example" means taking this object and comparing it to another, using the example to demonstrate the miraculous place of the Dharma. 6) Duty set. This series contains the texts of the Buddha Shakyamuni recounting events in his own past life, or that of the Bodhisattvas. 7) The deity of birth. These are the texts on events that take place in this present life by Shakyamuni Buddha or of other Bodhisattvas. 8) The square. "Phuong" is four directions, "quang" is vast. The Dhamma is said to be extremely vast and extremely sophisticated. 9) The brethren. These are teachings that have never been proclaimed up until now. 10) Interview with the narrative. Without a request, the Buddha was proud, the great geography was shaken, and the Buddha began to lecture — that is called "questioning the doctrine." 11) She started (also known as "praise"). These are individual chantras, whose intention has nothing to do with the above paragraph, nor has it to do with the lower paragraph. 12) Comment sets. These are interrogative texts. Above are twelve classics. There are verses as follows: Truong row, Coincidence of Tinh Tho Ky, Co Khoi, Counseling Pediatric Autobiography, Predestination, Provisional Access to Duty, Deity, Phuong Quang, Friend, Comment, plus of the two the set. If you want to understand more thoroughly, you can refer to the Great Wisdom of the Abhidhamma, which explains very in detail the classification of the twelve sutras. Is the Tripitaka sutra only a mere twelve sutras classified according to these twelve? Not so! In fact, each of the sutras covers these twelve, and each passage belongs to one of the twelve. So, above is the first distinction, General likes the title. Now we learn the second distinction — Causes and conditions to arise. II. What is "Education"? "Buddhism" is "a saint whose speech is lowered," - the teachings of the saints, the Buddhas and the Bodhisattvas, to teach sentient beings, is called "the price". Therefore, "spear" arises, it is necessary to have conditions and conditions, for a reason; Then where do predestined relationships come from? Causes and conditions come from sentient beings — if there are no beings there is no Buddha, but if there is no Buddha, there is no “price”. So, "religion" is established for sentient beings; and the cause is to cause sentient beings to escape samsara; That's why there is "spear". How to make sentient beings free from birth and death? Buddha Shakyamuni wanted sentient beings free from samsara and appeared in life. In the Sutras of the United States has written: "Buddha is the most micro-causes and conditions, such appearance." (Buddha is due to a great cause and condition that appears in life.) What is that? That great thing is the matter of birth and death of each one of us — from where we are born, death is going home. This ethic if we do not understand, there is birth and death, If we understand clearly, there will be no more birth and death goddess Shakyamuni Buddha came to this world because we wanted to teach all beings we clearly understand: What is "birth"? "Death" means that "Sanh" comes from where, but where does "death" go? When we have life, coming to this world is busy with life. Why, People, because of the living, but busy, because the piece of rice is fragile ... If you ask someone: "Why do you have to go to work?"; will be answered, "For two meals!" That is the Chinese mindset — for two meals! In fact, regardless of whether they are Chinese or any other country, everyone is busy with a piece of rice. However, no one is busy with life and death, and no one thinks, “Why did I come to this world? How do I come? Where did it come from? ” Usually when meeting, People openly asked each other: "Didn't you come from where? How long have you been here "; However, no one asked themselves: "Where did I come from?" We, even where we come from, can not remember, how about where we will go? Then we forget too! Then, when the death was near, there was a frantic panic: "I will go home enough"; At that time, or I forgot, do not remember to study this issue! Shakyamuni Buddha saw that people no longer remember "great birth and death," so he came to this world to remind us to pay attention and study that matter. In the Convenient Products of the Sutras Sutras it is said that the Buddhas of World Religion appear only by a great cause and condition in the world. That is to let sentient beings "enlighten the Buddha to enter the knowledge" —The Buddha, because he wanted sentient beings to open up the knowledge of the Buddha to be pure, so he appeared in life; because wanting to only know the Buddha for sentient beings, so Buddha appears in life; because he wanted to let sentient beings manifest the knowledge of Buddha, Buddha appeared in life; because you want to allow sentient beings to penetrate the direction of Buddha's knowledge, so Buddha appears in life. What is "enlightenment of the Buddha"? All sentient beings are fully aware of the Buddha, the hybrid wisdom is like Buddha; However, this nature is like a gold mine waiting to be explored, not revealed yet. Now that you know that you have Buddha nature, you can "practice forensic practice," then you are like mining gold, getting pure gold without any impurities (if there are impurities, it is not pure gold ). Thus, our inherent Buddha nature, Where is our inherent wisdom? The inherent Buddha nature is right in the defilements of each of us! Everyone has defilements, each has Buddha nature. However, just because we have not made our Buddha nature manifest, so we turn into defilements. Now I give an example. Our defilements are like ice, wisdom is like water. Water is wet, but ice is also wet. Water is an example of wisdom, ice is an example of defilements - in wisdom and defilements are both Buddha nature. What is Buddha nature? It is the wetness of water. You cannot say that ice is not wet, nor can it say that water is not wet — both water and ice are wet. But, ice can harm people; water cannot harm people. Someone would disagree, saying, “This teacher sounds reasonable, but I see a point is not reasonable. Why can Ice water harm people, this is my knowledge Teacher often says that if you hit people with ice, it can lead to death, so the ice is harmful to humans. beat by hand, the other will die! " "Hit people" is the crossbow. It is birth defilement; being afflictive is like hitting other people. When a bowl of water is not frozen into ice, you pour it on others' bodies and they will not feel any pain; however, if after the bowl of water is frozen into ice, you hit someone on the head with a hit, it can break the head, even death. This morality is very clear. The wise man, even if he scolds others, he is gentle, in moderation: "You shouldn't do that!" When wise people talk, their words and voices make the listener very happy, it was like pouring a splash of cool water on me, feeling no pain at all. If you have defilements, you use defilements to rudely scold others: "Your ignorance is too big!"; It makes people unhappy, frustrating, even causing wood to fight. Fighting is bound to hurt, there is damage. That is the difference between ice and water, is also the point of disagreement between defilement and wisdom. Ice and water are both wet; This wetness is an example for Buddha Tanh. If each of us can turn defilements into wisdom, then we can "revert to anti-deities." Water is not ice, but you cannot say that ice is not water, because ice is turned into water. You also cannot say that water is not ice, because ice can melt into water and water can also freeze to ice! Likewise, you cannot say that sentient beings are not Buddhas, nor can you say that Buddha is not sentient beings. In fact, Buddha is the Buddha of beings, sentient beings are Buddha's sentient beings. This morality — like ice is water and water is ice — is nothing more than a transformation. If you don't change, there's harm; If you change, you get the benefits. Someone protested: "You say water does not harm anyone, but great water can also drown people?" You are right! However, it is about high water or flood water, and in the example I give here only a small amount of water is mentioned! I now take a little water as an example; If you want to use unethical advice it's very much, never exhausted. So, now you just need to grasp the main idea and do not let yourself be hindered by a particular phenomenon: “Ah! Do you say water does not harm people? Big water can drown people! I don't believe what he just said! " If you don't believe me, then I say anything you don't believe. If you believe, I say eggs grow on trees, you believe as usual; and if so, you will have wisdom. Without such confidence, you will never develop true wisdom. True wisdom comes from true ignorance. So, ice turns into water, that is wisdom; water turns into ice, that is fool. Defilement is ignorance. Why are you suffering from defilement? Because you don't understand; If you understand clearly, then what are you bothering to do? If you understand, there will be no defilements! Therefore, I teach the sutras to explain the "reason, "You should not interfere with the" thing ". Lecture, you should not use "the" to comment "reason," because the reason is not the same. You must listen slowly, listen more then you will know that my teachings are correct; if you listen to it a little or you hear it for the first time, you feel completely alien: "Teacher says something I don't understand!" Because you have never heard of it, how can you understand! If you have not heard it before and have understood it, then your wisdom is too wonderful! You may have heard it in your past life, but this is the first time in this life. Hearing it for the first time is often confused, a bit strange, but listening many times will become familiar. Just like when you meet someone for the first time, you feel confused: “Ah! I wonder if I know this person, right? I've never met this person anywhere. ”However, after many meetings, you can easily see: "I know this man!" Listening to the sutras is the same morality. Once you understand your own nature as Buddhahood, you can turn defilements into Bodhi. Bodhi is the ethic of enlightenment, then what do you realize? Enlightenment is that we should not be attached. Whenever you have attachments you will not be able to become enlightened; Therefore, you should not be attached, nor should anything be attached. I am not enlightened yet, but I have no attachments! Someone said, "I have no attachments, but I have not been enlightened yet, so I am the same!" You and I are not the same! If you no longer have any attachments, then you can become enlightened. As for me, I am not enlightened yet because I don't want to be enlightened. The reason I don't want enlightenment is because I want to live with sentient beings. Your mood and mine are not the same. I see everyone is good, so I can't give up sentient beings, so I don't want enlightenment. I am telling you the way for you to become enlightened, in fact, that is I generate the Bodhisattva mind. To generate the Bodhisattva mind is to want everyone to be happy and happy, but for myself, I do not pay any attention. I used to say that if you all can become Buddhas, then even if you go to hell to endure immense suffering, I would be grateful. So now I tell you about this method, like if there is good food I want to save for everyone, and I just taste it to tell you the taste is good Now for the taste of enlightenment also So, because I have had a little taste, so I also want to let you know. To taste the taste of enlightenment, you need to eliminate certain defilements. When there are no more defilements, no more ignorance, wisdom will arise and that cause will be liberated. So, that is called "opening the Buddha's knowledge." You open up the Buddha's vision — unearth the gold mine — then you need to “see the Buddha's knowledge.” "Thị" means an instruction, indicating that the Buddha's vision is opened, you need to make great efforts, as well as mining gold requires a lot of hard work. Do what? You have to dig, then bit by bit sift through the sand, removing impurities to get pure gold. So it is necessary to show sentient beings how to have true pure gold. This is the "vision of the Buddha's view," which tells us about our inherent Buddhist knowledge. Next is to "enlighten the Buddha's knowledge." Instructions already, you see, you must practice yourself, you must use the effort. One day we meditate, someday we will naturally meditate, and immediately become enlightened. Enlightenment what? You enlighten to, "Oh! So that's how it is! " At that time, you truly understand, rightly manifest the realization of the human problem; that is called "enlightenment Buddha knowledge." The Buddha's view is not the same as that of our sentient beings. We all day from morning to night are full of delusions, attachments; Anyone who is not good with me will immediately create trouble: "You are so bad to me!" Why are people treating you so badly? If you are nice to people, how can someone not be nice to you? Understand this ethic, no one will be bad to you, because the problem is not that people are not good to you, but being yourself is not good to people! A hand clapping does not make a sound; the two hands clapped to make a sound. If you clap one hand, it makes a sound? Of course not! So, if you really treat people well, everyone will be nice to you too. As you can see, everyone bowed to the Buddha, wholeheartedly venerated the Buddha; Why do people respect Buddha so respectfully? Because Buddha is truly good, there is no one who is bad to Buddha! Someone said: "This I do not believe, because there are also people who destroy Buddha's scapegoat, saying that Buddha is not good!" One who destroys Buddha is definitely not considered human! Those who destroy the scapegoat of the Buddha are people like that. Those are the people who, due to not understanding the human morality, destroyed the Buddha's scapegoat, the Dhamma blasphemy, and the Sangha abolished. They say Buddha is not right, but in fact, basically, they don't understand the problem of human life; If they understand the moral of human life, understand the ethic of being human, they will surely not be able to destroy the Three Jewels like that. After "enlightenment of the Buddha of knowledge" then it is necessary to "enter the Buddha's knowledge," needing effort to practice. What is "entering the Buddha's knowledge"? You need to put in effort to make use of the gong, to understand clearly then you must use the effort to practice, reflect on your inner reflection. Then, in your mind, you open up the true wisdom, and that is "entering the Buddha's knowledge" —that wisdom is like that of Buddha, not two different. Above is talking about "enlightenment, vision, enlightenment, entering, the Buddha's knowledge" - is the general conditions of a life of teaching beings of the Buddha. He gave teachings for forty-nine years for beings, talks more than three hundred households If in particular about the conditions of the Buddha Shakyamuni, the sutra of the Great Buddha Venerable Tathagata Tathagata Tathagata Lieu Nghia Chu Bodhisattva Van Hanh Thu Lang Nghiem, there are six conditions; and these are: 1) Thi multi-literature, energetic concentration; 2) Self-protection fervor; 3) Only true mind, show the identity; 4) Thi Tanh, encourage authentication; 5) Neglect, minus or; and 6) Vipassana, benefits Now let us examine these six conditions sequentially. 1. Thi multi-literature, fot of determination. The first predestined relationship is "multi-literary vision, absorbing concentration" (relying on multi-text, distracted concentration). "Thị" is to rely on, to rely on; depend on what? Ỷ back into multi-text! What is "multiculturalism"? "Multiculturalism" is a lot of literature, widely learned, learned a lot, read scriptures and heard many Dhamma, intellectuals also have many Venerable Ananda who have multicultural abilities — He followed the Buddha for decades, that each Buddha conference spoke what, You both remember it very clearly. Once heard, he will never forget, His memory is extremely wonderful; that is called "multi-text." A Nan's "multiculturalism" is not the kind of "forced writing." "Uncle" means advertising, large; "Writing" means looking at a lot of books. "Forced to sign" is to force to remember, to remember reluctantly. So, "forced writing writing" is to use energy to cram in the head, trying to memorize the principles in the book. Unbeknownst to Ananda — he spontaneously remembers everything, without any reluctance or force. Normally, people with good memory, remember a lot of morality, are easy to rely on. Ỷ how again? He may be being presumptuous: "See, I know more than you!"; or boast: “I study a lot. I have many degrees, which is doctor of science, philosophy, literature ... You see! I have a hundred doctoral degrees in my hand! " Ananda has a place to rely on the broad learning to hear; That is called "multiculturalist", relying on his "multicultural" ability. "Concentrated energy." "Hot" is distraction, neglect, look down on, thinks is not important. Think it doesn't matter? Assume that concentration is not important; Mr. A Nan said: "The concentration is not important, it does not matter. I know many broad understandings, I have wisdom so that I get wisdom from concentration, but now I have wisdom! ” Ananda is very indifferent, does not attach importance to the cultivation of concentration. This Sutras of Surangama is Buddha because of Mr. Nan that pronounced; Why because of Mr. Ananda? Because Ananda does not have enough concentration. Why didn't Mr. Ananda not have enough concentration? Sun fake A Nan daily does not use the effort of taking meditation, but only specializes in writing words, viewing books, studying scriptures. He did not sit in meditation; While everyone meditated, he looked at the book, because he did not focus on concentration. Our current summer class is truly amazing, incredibly wonderful — we meditate while listening to the sutras! Sitting in meditation is "practicing" (practicing), listening to the sutras is "solving" (understanding); That is called "the solution to proceed together, conduct the solution in accordance with." Understand clearly, then use the practice of spiritual practice; Righteous use of the gong will sometimes be enlightened. I hope in this summer session, at least ten or more people will be enlightened, that way I will be satisfied. If only one or two people were enlightened, then I would not be commensurate with the value of my time spent. Therefore, I hope you each pay attention to this, and be careful to hold carefully, neither should “multi-text,” nor “gather concentration.” We are here focusing on concentration, while focusing on multiculturalism. The multiculturalism we also learn, the concentration we also cultivate — the multi-literature and the concentration must be carried out in parallel. We use our work, we must use the work in both ways — this realm is an impossible realm of victory. Therefore, joining this difficult meeting, if you are enlightened, you will not waste your hard work in spiritual practice. To be like that, you do not spend the hard work, but even I do; hence everyone is "happy age"! Now I am asking you to write a summary of your cultivation every day, then show it to me. What you feel in meditation, what realm, or listen to the sutras, just write it down and give it to me In addition, you should also write down the morals you have learned; As such, this conference is extremely rare and even more triumphant. We live in the age of the End of the Dharma and can still practice vigorously in spiritual practice like this — that is indeed true diligence. Having to wake up early in the morning, diligently study all day, go to bed very late at night — that is, diligently studying the Dharma. Thus, you are not "multiculturalist," nor "absorbing concentration"; on the contrary, you are studying multiculturalism, cultivating the energy; and that is such a difficult opportunity! The Buddha pronounced the Surangama Mantra to rescue Mr. Ananda. Why must rescue Mr. A Nan? Because Mr. A Nan so far has focused on studying Prajñā scriptures but not practicing Prajñā General. He focused on Prajñā texts, and thought that it was possible to become a Buddha, and still be enlightened. Besides, He relies on what? Ananda thinks that he is Buddha's brother and sister, Now that the Buddha has become a Buddha, the Buddha will definitely help me become a Buddha, so it doesn't matter whether we cultivate or not! Because of such thoughts, so Ananda despises concentration — He does not meditate, does not meditate, does not use effort, only focuses on studying Prajñā texts; And as such, he let time go through a lot. According to the Surangama Sutra, one day, Ananda had to go begging alone. ("Alms alms" means holding a bowl to each house to make love, asking for food.) When he went to each house of alms, he met Ma Dang Gia. Ma Dang Gia's mother believed in the pagan "hoang Phat" (blond hair), and practiced magic of the outer world. This pagan school also had its own spells and magic power; and their magic power is also very effective. At that time, Ms. Ma Dang Gia saw Mr. A Nan with a perfect and perfect appearance, instant gratification. Although she liked Mr. Ananda, but there was no way to tempt him, she went back to tell her mother, "Mom! You must bring Mr. A Nan back to you, forcing him to marry you. If you don't bring Mr. A Nan back to you, you will die, you won't want to live anymore! " Ma Dang Gia's mother loved her daughter so much, she used the uncle Tien Pham Thien, a pagan spell, to arrest Mr. A Nan. She just chanted this mantra, then what is your power of energy that makes Mr. A Nan become enraptured? At that time, Ananda, because he had no concentration, could not master himself, was controlled by his magic power, followed to the house of Ma Dang Gia's mother, and was about to destroy what kind of precept Ananda was about to break? He almost broke the world of prostitution, one of the five basic precepts — killing, religion, lust, hope, death! At that time, The Buddha knew very well that Ananda was about to break the pure world. I believe that at that time, Buddha, because of his brotherhood and brotherhood with Mr. Nan, saw his brother in distress, and immediately said Uncle Lang Nghiem to excuse the Buddha saying that Uncle Lang Nghiem was to destroy the pagan Tien Pham Thien " Hoang Phat, "used the power of Uncle Lang Nghiem to awaken Mr. A Nan, out of the lethargy. At that time, Ananda was like drinking drunkenness or taking anesthetics, not knowing what was going on; But thanks to the power of Uncle Lang Nghiem, he awoke and became lucid again. Awake, Mr. A Nan looked around and wondered why he was in such a situation So, he immediately returned to the monastery, came to kneel in front of the Buddha, sobbed and told Buddha: "I Up to now, only relied on multiculturalism, so the moral power is not sufficient. (The path of force is concentration.) I have not had concentration yet, So now I bow to the Buddha to teach me clearly how the Buddhas practice in order to have the concentration to become Right Enlightenment! " So, the first condition that caused the Buddha to declare Lang Nghiem Sutra is because Ananda relied on her multiculturalism, but despised concentration. The Buddha broke the lethargy of Ananda, freed him, and then preached the Surangama Sutra. This Arahant has thoroughly developed his spiritual mind. So, "multicultural vision, gathering concentration" is the first cause. 2. Fantasies of hospice protection. The second predestined condition of Kinh Lang Nghiem is "the love of wisdom for evil." "Scene" is a warning, a command. Warning who? Warning to those who have "madness" - those who have natural intelligence but keep thinking of improper things, still rely on their wisdom to plot unrighteous things, harm others. It is the evil, evil thoughts that they deliberately cover, hide it, because they think their evil thoughts are right! So, this sutta warns against those "madly haunted" who often tolerate and conceal their untrue thoughts. "Evil households" are also "short households," that is, to cover up and protect evil thoughts or to justify defects. The "henchman" insists that his thoughts are not evil: "My thoughts are righteous!" This world has many people, intelligent is very intelligent, but is "betrayed" by their own intelligence, leading them to do wrong and messy things. At this point, I remember there are a few aphorisms as follows: Smart is smart, intelligent monitoring, intelligent monitoring, Real intelligent monitoring, intelligent intelligent. “Smart monitor aid monitoring. "Why are people intelligent? Because in their previous life they were virtuous people, so in this life they are very intelligent. Or if in my previous life, I read a lot of books, chanted many Buddhist scriptures, then this life will also be intelligent. "Smart entrance monitoring." Why be smart? Because I have done a lot of good deeds, a lot of good deeds, a lot of "monitoring." What is "monitoring"? "Monitoring" means deeds of virtuous virtue, good deeds performed silently, not letting anyone look. If doing a good deed and then opening the gong, publishing a newspaper, or speaking on the radio , advertising on TV is not "monitoring" —that is just doing a good job. The "monitoring" is a good thing you do without other people knowing. Doing a good deed without letting anyone know, that is true kindness. There are: Good sex human opinion, real good faith, Evil terrible human tri, convenient great evil. "Good sex human opinion, good and bad." If you do good deeds but keep going around claiming, wanting to let everyone know, it is not true doing good works, but just wanting the name "good" only. "Great evil human tri, mean evil." Doing evil and trying to cover it up, afraid of being known to everyone, it is definitely a great evil! "Any practice using intelligent monitoring, / Intelligent betrayed intelligence." Now because I think that I am intelligent, I do not do good deeds, do not do good deeds, do not do good deeds. "Using intelligence," is the expertise in manipulating the trivial intelligence, the "little wisdom," but forgetting its root is negative virtue. Therefore, in the end, it will be led to many mistakes by that cunning, and then gradually fall apart, no longer diligent in doing good deeds. During the Three Kingdoms (China) period, there was a man named Cao Cao; Have you heard of it? Cao Cao is very intelligent, and also very cunning; Therefore, in folklore, there is a saying: Cao Gong is like a devil, Nghieu De is like a god. Cao Cao is intelligent, as cunning and cunning as the demons. (Devils do not appear at night, but during the day they do not appear.) And King Nghieu is intelligent, with wisdom like a fairytale. In this America, people often call wise and wise people. "God." You should not see a "god" as an overwhelming person In Buddhism, there are many Dharma protectors — gods in heaven all support the Three Jewels — to maintain the Buddha, uphold the Dharma, and uphold the Sangha. Therefore, for Buddhism, "deities" means the dharmapalas. If a great evil person knows how to change his mind, he will become a great person; opposite, If you let yourself pervert, you will be like a great evil person. Once awakened the great evil: "I now want to do good with evil"; then immediately become a great person. Why is that Because that great evil person can boldly admit mistakes, forcefully correct mistakes, so become a great person. However, a great person who falls down will turn into a great evil. For example, you do good deeds every day, but do it all the time but still do not feel the inspiration, so discouraged: “I give myself to doing good deeds, a lot of good deeds, without being inspired. at all; Just go and do bad deeds, evil deeds! " And so you do things that harm others, deceive others, harm others, and you become great evil. Why so? Because you have "vindicated the offense" —has known that it was not true but still intentionally violated; thus turned into great evil! People with "madness" often do things that are arrogant, insane, and improper, but they still insist they are right. They may even kill people and then make excuses: “If I don't kill him, he will go kill many others. Thanks to me in time to kill him, no one will die in his hands! " However, the truth is that the person killed is not a murderer as they say, it is only because they have aversion to that person, so they only put something like that. That interpretation is called "evil," is the wrong thought, false There are people who actually commit real crimes but cleverly fabricate very reasonable reasons to justify, so that they should not be judged — that called "crazy lily." So, "hunchback scene" means warning, deterring people with wild minds. As for "supporting evil people," the word "support" is not telling us to help, support, or compliment someone else's misconduct — not at all! Here, "defending evil" means that a person with wisdom conceals his evil thoughts, using improper reasons to defend himself. Because there is a type of expert who uses intelligence to uphold their own evil thoughts, and this sutra is a warning to that kind of person — advising them not to cover their evil thoughts, but rather correct mistakes, follow the right path, return to the righteous thoughts, there should be no evil evil intentions. 3. Only true mind, show the identity. The third cause is "only the true mind, showing the essence" (showing the true nature, showing the true nature). Kinh Lang Nghiem is a sutra "direct only human mind, knowledge of nature to become Buddha." Directly pointing to what a human mind Directly indicates the human heart! Human sincerity has a manifest appearance. Human truth, we cannot see! Someone said, “You can see your mind (heart); It is shaped like a lotus hanging upside down! " It is not "true mind" but "humiliation of the heart" —that is the heart of flesh in the chest, capable of sustaining your life; it is not the dominant mind that makes you have true knowledge. Why is this because if humiliation of mind is your true mind, then when you die, this mind must follow you. Again, after man dies, the humiliation of conscience is still intact in the body, then why can't it dominate the goddess That is very clear - this humiliation of conscience is not true of you — your true mind is Buddha nature! So, true mind is inherent Buddha nature, appears in your identity. Where is the Buddha nature? Buddha nature is not inside you — neither inside, outside, nor between the inside and outside Wait for the clarification to the righteous text of this sutra you will understand that doctrine, because in the sutras say very much. meticulous. In the Surangama Sutra there is an explanation of the "decade of visions," that is, ten manifestations of clarity, and it is this view that is your true nature. This sutra is talking about "nature of seeing" (understanding nature), so the cause of the Buddha's theory of this sutra is also wanting to indicate the "pure nature" of "usually abiding the mind" in each of them. we do not come and go, immutable, unchanging, so it is called "often staying true to the mind." "The pure nature of the body" - the body of the mind is not defiled - the nature is pure, the body is pure. So, The third condition of the Sutra Pitaka is to show the inherent truth and mind and reveal the natural nature of each of us. 4. Thi Tanh, encourage authentication. The fourth cause of this sutra is "visual realm, encourage realization" (show Tanh, encourage realization). There are many types of cultivation methods; even non-religious goods also cultivate, also have their concentration. However, for the practice, every "wrong one drink, one mile away", so we must cultivate righteous thoughts, do not cultivate wrong concentration. The "concentration" that the pagan and Hinayana cultivate is of the wrong kind, not right concentration. Because it is not righteous concentration, it is impossible to achieve Holy fruit no matter how long we cultivate. Why can not be Holy fruit? Because the "concentration" is not "Tanh", but just a kind of wrong! What is called "Tanh"? Talking about "quality," I have two very important verses, you each need to write down in the volume and always remember. How are those two sentences? That is: Tanh Tieu ma min trieu trieu trieu, Vong conception no origin of origin of security. Why do we often encounter countless ghosts and karma on the way of spiritual practice? Because our nature has not been "determined"; If the nature "is" already, then whatever ghost is subjected to at all. Why can't you surrender to ghosts? That is because your nature is not yet settled, so we are not subject to submission! Based on this sutra, there are fifty kinds of "warm ghosts"; in fact, there are many types of ghosts, which are heavenly ghosts, which are ghosts, and human ghosts, ghosts, and demons ... the goddess "Heavenly ghosts" are demons in heaven and often disturb the meditation. of you. "Hell" is a ghost on the ground, and they also come to disturb your meditation. Also ghost (human ghost), demons, and demonic demons also come to disturb your meditation. Why do these ghosts want to disturb your meditation? The reason is that before you became a Buddha or did not believe in Buddha, you were a family member or a relative of a ghost species; Now you want to leave their home, want to practice meditation, want to get rid of samsara, so the ghosts because they still love you and are attached to you, so they are disturbed mentally, brain disorder. concentration, and obstruct your practice. Therefore, if concentration is not enough, you will be shaken by the realm of evil spirits and run after them; And if the concentration is sufficient, you will not be dragged by them, but will become "like motionless, willow will usually clear up." "As motionless" is concentration; "Ordinary willow willow" is wise force, strength of wisdom. Once you have samadhi and wisdom power, any kind of ghost cannot cause you to waver; on the contrary, if you don't have concentration, and you don't have wisdom, you will be drawn and led by the ghosts. Where to lead? Lead back to the homeland of the ghosts, and you will have to be there as a ghost and grandchildren, constantly rotating; it's very dangerous! Non-religious people practice concentration, because they do not know the importance of "quality," but start from the top, not from the root, devote all the effort to the temporary fake body. Their mistake is already mistakenly, thinking that the "consciousness" - mindfulness - is the true mind, by mistake that this consciousness is mind, so they made a mistake. During the process of Taoism, they may attain a little bit of the realm of death, but all is not real! For example, putting a rock on top of the grass, although it can temporarily prevent the grass from growing, but until the rock is removed, the grass will grow normally again. Use coercive methods to suppress, Forcing yourself, making delusions unbearable, just like "crushing the grass with stones" is not a radical measure, so it is impossible to escape samsara. So, if we don't eliminate the root of delusion, it is impossible to escape samsara! In Zen Buddhism, people often refer to the first sentence "Who is reciting Buddha's name?" This first line is the means to "wipe out all methods, leave all generals." By contemplating, looking for that "someone", you can dig up the roots and thoroughly eliminate the source of delusion. And like that, there will come a day when you will be totally enlightened. At that time, After you are enlightened, do you know if your nose is pointing up or down. Right now you don't know if your nose is pointing up or down; Once you know it, you have been enlightened, there will be measures. So, if your nose is up or down, this matter has to wait until you are enlightened to know! At the time of the Buddha Shakyamuni Buddha's lecture of this Surangama Sutra, in India there were a few pagan sects that did not pay attention to enlightenment, but liked to imitate and race to "learn buffalo, learn dogs. " Why do they "learn buffalo, learn dogs"? Because in the pagan ranks, there were people who entered samadhi, saw a buffalo born into the heavens, and wandered around, saying, "Oh! This buffalo was born natural! I have to learn from it! " So, that person began to practice herbivorous. he even sleeps and sleeps in the stable like a buffalo. Of course, he also learns how to sleep a buffalo, and when he can't sleep, he will practice a little; But in the end still not successful! Therefore, that is also a kind of wrong concentration. Another pagan dreamed of seeing a dog be born in heaven, and thought, “So the dog can be born in heaven; so I should follow the dog! “Therefore, he started to learn the dog's way of life — guarding the house like a dog, eating what the dog eats, sleeping the way the dog sleeps — best of all doing exactly the same dog. Even the foods that the dog does not eat, the man will not eat; however, the results were also unsuccessful. That is one of the ways of the pagan practices. There is a pagan that has for many years practicing the practice of "no idea," that is, he does not remember, think about anything. A man often delusions wandering, but he does not give rise to delusions, does not think of anything, and just like that, cultivating again and again; want to be born in the utopia. The result is like that. Then, he was also born into the Nihumanistra, but after that, he still had to perish as usual. So, this is also a misdemeanor! Cultivation "wrong concentration" means the practice of foreign disciplines, and that is not the ultimate radical practice, not the use of the original. If you can "from the nature to cultivate the nature," then that is from the subordinate root of deity. But if you use the mind of mind to cultivate the Dharma, you can cultivate forever and just like "cooking sand. but want to become rice, "can never be accomplished! Even if you practice for many lives, many lives, plurals like the sands of the Ganges, it will be difficult to escape the cycle of samsara, Buddhahood is impossible to achieve! Therefore, if you practice, it is imperative that you find a true master in order to receive teachings in order to achieve true concentration. To have true concentration, you also have to endure the test of ghosts. Like I said earlier, there are many types of ghosts. Some types of ghosts come from the outside, while ghosts come from our minds. Ma from the outside is still easy to submit, but it is very difficult for ghosts born from the heart to submit. There is another type of ghost that is most difficult to surrender, the "sick ghost." I remember when I was about seventeen and eighteen years old, I learned the Dharma but was still very complacent, always thought that I was an extraordinary human being, and uttered wild words. Crazy like that, I said, “Everyone is afraid of ghosts, but I'm not. Really, Ghosts are afraid of me, but I'm not afraid of ghosts at all! " You think it's too extravagant to talk, don't you? I blatantly said that ghosts are afraid of me, and even gods, ghosts, ghosts, ghosts, ghosts, no matter what kind of ghosts I am not "bored" at all! No wonder, after declaring like that, a very powerful ghost came to find me — it was the "sick ghost." I have to go through a serious illnessso that I end up being the one who is afraid of ghosts, not the ghost fearing me — I feel really scared of this "sick ghost"! Because once sick, the action is no longer freely free as you want, but it is like being bound by the shackles, feeling this body refuses to listen to me anymore — tell go, it walks no floating; told to sit, it sat unsteady; All day, from morning to night, I was bedridden in bed, unable to drink water or eat food — her whole body was dominated and bound by the sick ghost. At that time, I reflected back and realized my mistake! I have boasted that I am not afraid of ghosts, but now when the sick ghost comes looking for me, it is clear that I have insufficient resistance, cannot resist it! My illness at that time was like that. I was so sick that I no longer knew anything, There was only a flash of breath as if I was about to take my last breath. I saw three children of filial filial piety in the Northeast, from the famous Northeast Region (Manchuria) with three filial piety Wang's family, of which one was a Taoist, one was a monk, and the other. are lay people at home. I saw all three of them come and invited me to go on a tour with them, and so I followed them away. Curiously, as soon as I exited the door, I felt my feet no longer dotted the ground; Although it is not sitting on an airplane, it is not "in the sky," riding the rain, but just floating in the air. I glided on the rooftops and when I looked down I saw that the house was very close and very small; and I can also see crowds of people going back and forth below. We passed a lot of temples, high mountains and large rivers; visit all four famous mountains of China — Ngu Dai Son, Nga Mi Son, Jiufen Shan, and Putuo Mountain. Wherever we go, we see a lot of temples and a large number of passersby. At that time, we not only traveled all over China but also went to foreign countries with many people with platinum hair and blue eyes. Wherever we go, we just stop for a moment and then go now, just like watching a movie — one act after another, the scene changes constantly. The only difference is that there is no screen in front of me, and I actually go to the places I look at. At that time I watched a lot of things, heard a lot of things. After that, I went back to my doorstep. I opened the door and looked inside to find myself lying on the bed. As soon as I realized there were two "I," I instantly turned into a "I" lying on the bed, and the breath and the heart beat seamlessly At that time, my parents were watching me at my side, then exclaimed happily: "Oh! My baby is not dead yet! My child is alive again! " At that time, I was bewildered, not understanding why my parents said that — what was not dead? Something that is alive. I look back at myself and find myself lying on the bed, unable to move anything; So I suddenly remembered that I was very sick. I asked, when my parents told me that I had been in a coma for seven or eight days, completely unconscious, not knowing anything; Now that I have sensed again, I know that I am not dead yet! After this incident, I turned into a "active man," telling myself that I am a man already dead and reincarnated; and ever since then I have stopped speaking wildly. So that's why I tell you: A Taoist practitioner absolutely must not speak wildly, speak ambiguously, do not say things like: "I'm not afraid of anything"; because then you will be able to encounter scary events that you do not expect. However, if you say, "I am afraid of everything"; is also not true. In general, let us not say bullshit, ineffective. At the same time, something else happened to me, which was also quite strange. What happened At that time, I practiced and felt that I was a little more elaborate! Before I got sick, when I was still in the Northeast, I was in the Ethics Association. What do I keep in the Ethics Association? I lecture on morality, benevolence, and advise everyone to do good deeds. I advise people to do a good job, but personally I do, Of course the more I need to work better, I can't just advise people and I don't do anything! At that time, when I read a book about the noble deeds of Mr. Truong Nha Hien, I immediately wanted to follow his example, so I made a vow to heaven saying: "God! I definitely follow the example of Mr. Truong Nha Hien! ” However, when I finished my vows, I suddenly regretted it, wondering: "Is it useful if I study according to his example?" After saying this, strangely enough, that very night, I immediately encountered the test of ghosts, they came to see if I could keep true to my aspiration to imitate Truong Nha Hien or not! I know that if we make any vows, the Bodhisattvas will quietly come to the test of our aspirations. It is essential that we should not utter self-aggrandizing words. Well then, what happened to me in the end, And what is Truong Nha Hien's job? Unfortunately, at present, I cannot recount, the reason is that it is not the right time, it is not the right time! We each need to remember, should not boast about what we like or dislike. If you like something, there will be times when the realm you like will come to test you. If you do not like anything, there is a realm that you do not like will come to island you. In short, we should not say frivolous, bragging words, have no thoughts. So what to do? You need to cultivate the Way one-pointedly — don't use the sublime mind (human mind), but use the earnest mind to pray to the Dao (Taoist mind) to "cultivate the nature, ask for realization." What is "testimonial"? "Realization" means no hope. For example, someone born delusions: "I am a Buddha!"; and so while meditating immediately feels the body like Buddha — also radiant, also shaky. Actually, there is absolutely no such thing — it's just a vain illusory realm, not the real realization. Someone thought, “While sitting in meditation, I saw the Buddha come to take my autograph, and said, 'You are going to become a Buddha! You don't need to cultivate anymore, you are now Buddha! " Actually, there is absolutely no such thing, it is just a kind of delusion, not reality, not real realm of witnessing. Buddha Shakyamuni attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. He sat there for forty-nine days, and then one night seeing the star of tomorrow and meeting the night after his enlightenment, he said: “How strange! How strange! All sentient beings have Buddha nature, and can become Buddhas! Before the Buddha attained the results, the Maou from heaven came to test him — the Maou transformed into an extremely beautiful and graceful beauty to urge the Buddha to stop practicing the Tao, but marry her. At that time, Buddha was in samadhi and was never wavered or flustered by her seductive beauty and sweet words. The Buddha visualized, "Wow! You think that you are beautiful and beautiful, but the truth is you are like an old woman, on the imprinted face knows how many barren wrinkles! Pour out from within your eyes a stingy, tearful cry; the nose is runny in the nose; Your mouth is spit, dirty saliva Your body is just a mess, but you dare come here to deceive Me? " The Buddha was in such contemplative concentration, and immediately the power of the ghost species was transformed, Maou indeed turned into an old woman with gray hair, her teeth fell out, her face was dirty, very ugly! Buddha said to the Maou: "You should look at yourself!" The Maou immediately looked back and when he saw that his body had become shallow like that, he was deeply ashamed, and ran away. There are many other kinds of ghosts that also use all kinds of ways to fascinate and challenge the Buddha, but Buddha is not disturbed by them. Because he was not wavered by ghosts, he attained the Path, attained Buddhahood. During the process of practicing the Tao practice, usually at a critical stage, you will be tested by ghosts. When you practice without diligence, without accomplishing anything, you have not been examined by magic; But until you get a little more elaborate, then you will encounter an exchange of the seedlings. then you will be attracted to the ghosts and become a relative of them. So, if you want to cultivate in order to achieve "realization," there must be "natural concentration." Once you have the elaborate nature of concentration, "Tanh" no longer wavers, you will all have concentration; And then, the results that you have attained are naturally real, not false. On the contrary, if you are still wavered by ghosts, then your concentration is not a true concentration, but merely a wrong kind of outside religion; and with the wrong mind of the pagan you cannot attain Buddhahood! Just now, I mentioned the issue of non-believers seeing buffalo born naturally, following the buffalo, and seeing that dogs were born natural, so they followed dogs. Then, why were those dog buffaloes born to heaven? In the previous life, This buffalo used to practice the Ten good faiths; but when it has not cultivated the Ten good faiths, it has done a lot of evil, and the retribution of these wicked actions is to be made the body. A buffalo is fulfilled, it is born into the world. The case of a dog that is born is similar. Foreign goods because they do not know the cause and effect of previous lives of buffaloes and dogs, they mistakenly think that by making a buffalo as a dog in this life, they are born natural! And so they blindly imitate the dog's buffalo behavior, but in the end get no achievement, not attain "realization," not attain true benefit. "Realization" is the real, true realization. Achieve what? To realize our true wisdom and samadhi, attain the "concentration of wisdom in wisdom" —due to help wisdom, hue support concentration, support for non-self-contained members Achieve "physical truth" that is to get your own true mind; and that is "testimony." 5. Neglect, minus or. The fifth condition is "to destroy the idea, to subtract or to subtract." What is "island fantasy"? "Island" is crazy, not correct, not justified. When we say, "This man is crazy," it is not to say that the human body is crazy, but to say that his thoughts, his thoughts are all crazy, not correct. At the same time, when returning from Ma Dang Gia to meet the Buddha, Ananda paid homage and asked the Buddha to teach; After that, he said a verse that: "Dieu station of the Chief Executive Officer, immobilized, Thu Lang Nghiem Vuong's rare position, Tieu Falls is crazy, impolite to increase the plan of the Dharma body." (Kinh Lang Nghiem, volume 3) "Dieu station General Tri, immobilized religion." "Archbishop," in Sanskrit is Da la ni (Dharani), ie "uncle." "Immovable religion" is the manifestation of Mahamudra of Lang Nghiem. This full sentence is only for Buddha Shakyamuni. "Thu Lang Nghiem Vuong rare position." Dai Dinh Lang Nghiem is the most rare and rare dharma in the world; because this is because this concentration can "destroy the crazy memories." "Blessing" is a very long time, an infinite amount of eons, can not be counted. "Crazy thinking" is contradictory ideas, not legitimate. All the thoughts of our worldly people are "crazy ideas"! "Any schedule to increase the plan of the Dharmakaya." Kinh Lang Nghiem has the power to eliminate our crazy thoughts from beginningless up to now, without having to go through three hundred thousand lives. We can fully enlighten the mind, attain the inherent dharmakaya nature, ie Tathagata Tathagata, without going through long distances. The function of the Kinh Lang Nghiem is to eliminate all of our crazy delusions, so that it is said "to destroy the idea, to subtract or to." "Exclusion or." "Fair or" means doubts or subtle, so subtle that the naked eye cannot see, the ears cannot hear, the mind cannot think of it. Whenever we initiate an "unconscious" thought, three types of "reality or" arise. "One thought" is an extremely short period of time; Although it is short, it can still arise three doubts or very subtle. There is a saying: "Sac or as bare, Self-nature as scene." These "or" termites can be compared to dust — if there is dust in the room, within a short second there will be a lot of dust on the mirror. When the dust is low, the mirror face is not affected much; But when the dust becomes thick, the mirror will fade, no longer as pure as before. Our subtle charms are like dust on a mirror; And our nature is like a shining example, and that is also the Great Glass of Wisdom. Due to the arising of "sacrifices," the shining example was obscured and became increasingly blurred. Great master Than Tu has a poem reciting as follows: Body, Bodhi, Life, Mind as intelligent glass, Time to awake, Who is the subject! Meaning: The body is like a Bodhi tree, the Mind is like a shining mirror, Often diligently cleaning, Do not let dirt! There are many people who think that this poem is not true, but I think it is true; Because each of us has the seed of Bodhi, our body can be likened to the Bodhi tree, and the true nature of mind is like a pure example of purity. Therefore, "often diligently cleaning, "Means that we need to practice constantly and not let our pure, clear mind and heart be defiled; That is: "Clean today, clean tomorrow, Wipe back and forth like a mirror." So the poem by Than Tu encouraging the practitioner to practice diligently is correct; when not enlightened, you need to follow that verse and practice. Luc To Dai Master has a verse that responds as follows: Bodhidharma, immaculate bodhisattva, Minh revered her immortal non-dais, who is the land of Hà Nội? Meaning: Bodhi has no tree, Mirror does not shine. Previously not a thing, Where is dust? This poem is declared by an enlightened person, so enlightened people need to know and follow that and practice. There is a sentence: Unborn realization of the whole concept of unborn, Six sense faculties mobilize old vein! When not even a single thought arises, Buddhahood immediately arises, concentration also appeared. At the six sense faculties — eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind — wavering, it is like the sky covered by clouds. Once the insane delusions are no more, or are also eliminated, you will quickly attain Buddhahood. Unfortunately, everyone does not want to become a Buddha, but is attached to the realm of "so evil," wants to stay in this world and forget about the return. They consider misery to be happy, take extreme happiness, turn their backs on enlightenment, unite with dust. Although not yet able to escape samsara, they think that is good: "Me, both intelligent and beautiful; Everyone likes me! Things that other people do not understand, I understand clearly! " In fact, those people are like mirrors with dust. In this life, they think they are smart, but wait and see, maybe in ten generations they will become stupid like pigs. Therefore, in this life, we need to decide on the direction of our life, we must recognize the direction and goals, then we have to take practical measures! So, to get rid of the crazy thoughts and eliminate the doubts or subtleties of sentient beings, is one of the great causes of this sutra. 6. Minh Nhi subject, the golden advantage. The sixth predestined condition of Kinh Lang Nghiem is "intelligent dual subject, profit and wealth." "Second subject" means two subjects — Equality and Facilities. Equality of subject is the Law, which is "one mind of all things," which means that all things are equal to the best general, which is not different; Means of the subject is the Law of the Law, that is, the legal rights. "Right" is the right to change, it's not that the rule of law is random is the method means to lead into the Dharma; So the Dharma is a temporary dharma, not a permanent Dharma, which is forever unchanged, since the Law can be skillfully manipulated from within. So, the dharma has two subjects, namely, the Law and the Law. What is the Rule of Law? I will give an example called "no death right," tells the story of Buddha Shakyamuni used his bare fist to save a child. No. One day, a toddler came up to a well and was about to fall into the well. If the baby falls into a well, the baby will surely be suffocated and die. Buddha Shakyamuni knew that if he called him and told him to come back he would definitely not obey, so Buddha clasped his hand, then extended his hand to the child and said gently: "Hey I am holding a lot of them in my hand. Hurry over here. I will reward you with candy! " The baby who heard that he would be given candy then happily returned to the eerily, in the Buddha's hand there was no candy — absolutely nothing. Then, is Buddha lying to deceive the child? Not! Since the baby is near the well, if there is no attraction, promptly attracting its attention, causing him to quickly back up, he will surely fall into the well! Therefore, the Buddha raised a fist - there was nothing in that hand - and said that there was candy in it to make the baby return. Why did the baby come back? Because he wants to eat candy! For all sentient beings, the Buddha used the skillful means of means to teach. In fact, there is nothing inherently, but the Buddha told sentient beings, “I have many precious treasures. Come to Me, I will give you many blessings. I also have many priceless pearls, along with many other good and precious things ... "Because sentient beings often have greed, whenever they hear benefit, they will see them immediately. Sentient beings come, Buddha said the Dhamma to save them — that is the result of the means of the method; and so is called "the right to manipulate the means of beings." "Metal benefits" "Benefits" are benefits, benefits for "gold." "Kim" means present, and "queen" means tomorrow. "Kim" can be understood as the time when Buddha was in the world, but it could also mean the present moment. All sentient beings in the present life and in the future can enjoy the benefits and are imbued with the Dharma. So, "the second door, the golden age" - manifest the two methods of Rights and Realities to benefit sentient beings in this life and the next - is the sixth predestined condition, belonging to the section of Causality and Dependent So, due to the six conditions mentioned above that the Buddha has declared the Sutra Pitaka. This sutra takes two types of disciplines are equal (Law) and means (Law) to sermon. The Buddha used these two methods of teaching to educate sentient beings, making sentient beings happy to leave suffering, and finally to attain Buddhahood; so this sutra is of great benefit to all beings. III. The Tibetan Mahayana Belonging to "The Virtue of Photography" is also known as "The Mahayana of Photography," which means analyzing whether this sutra is in "organs" and belongs to which "redundant"? "Tibet" means the Tripitaka — the Sutra Pitaka, the Vinaya and the Abhidhamma Pitaka. The Tripitaka belongs to the Three Immortal Sects of Absenteeism — Gender, Samadhi, Hue — in which, the Sutra Pitaka belongs to Samadhi, the Vinaya belongs to the World School, and the Abhidhamma Pitaka belongs to Hue School. In classics, we often see a mention of the title "The Tripitaka Dharma" —this is a title given to the Master who has mastered all three Sutras, Laws, and Abhidharma. The things explained in the Sutra Pitaka belong to Samadhi, because most of them are teaching how to practice. Typically the Surangama Sutra — this sutra is mainly about teaching us how to practice meditation. In the sutras also mentioned Precepts and Hue, but not very much; so it can be said that Kinh Lang Nghiem uses Dinh to study as the root, and belongs to the Sutra Pitaka. So, as said above, "the realm of concentration, the realization promotion" is also the principle of this sutra. In the Surangama Sutra there is talk about the Four Pure Sutras of purity (the four clear teachings on purity), this is the teaching on the Precepts but not much; Therefore, this sutta is not the Precepts, nor does Hue study, but belongs to Jhana. So, in the Tripitaka, The Kinh Lang Nghiem is part of the Sutra Pitaka, not the Vinaya or the Abhidhamma Pitaka. We now refer to the word "redundant." So, what does "redundant" mean? "Excess" means the carriage; and here, "redundant" refers to the two yanas in Buddhism — Mahayana and Hinayana "Hinayana" are small wagons that can only carry a few people, such as bicycles or vehicles with few seats; and that is also the "Thanh Van Duyen Sensory". And "Mahayana" means "Bodhisattva," is a large carriage that can carry many people. The teachings that the Buddha preached include both Mahayana and Hinayana; then the Surangama Sutra belongs to the sutras of the Mahayana Sutra. The Surangama Sutra is the sutra "Bodhisattva teaching, Buddha's protection," therefore belongs to the Mahayana Bodhisattva Dharma, and is a sutra of Mahayana. Why say this sutra is "the Dharma of the Bodhisattva" (the teaching to teach the Bodhisattvas)? Because this sutra is the Buddha because the Arahants want to "return to the great direction," generate the Bodhisattva mind, cultivate the Bodhisattva, and declare! At the same time, the Venerable Ananda, when returning from the house of the Ma Dang Giau girl to the Buddha, earnestly requested the Buddha Shakyamuni to teach him clearly about "Bodhidharma," the path that The Tathagata in the past used to go crows And, the answer of Shakyamuni Buddha is this Surangama Sutra. Because in the sutras there are teachings on the spiritual practice of the Bodhisattvas, so this sutta belongs to about the Bodhisattva or Mahayana, not the Hinayana Dharma. So, the Surangama Sutra belongs to the Sutras, and is the Dharma of the Bodhisattva. Above is talking about the "residency of photography," of Kinh Lang Nghiem. IV. Nghia Ly Tham Tham Nghia Ly in Kinh Lang Nghiem is deep or shallow? The morality that this sutra expands belongs to which religion? Based on the judgment of Thien Thai Tong, there are four faculties, called the Four Teachings — Tibetan Buddhism, Thong Buddhism, and Taoism. 1) Tibetan religion. Tibetan Buddhism is the teaching of Hinayana, the Tripitaka of the Tripitaka including the crossbow sutras That is the Abhidharma Sutra, also known as the A Ham (Agama). "Ahhan" is Indian, Chinese translates as "irrationality," which means that the teachings are not comparable. However, although it is called "billions of measures", it is still Hinayana, still belongs to Hinayana. According to Thien Thai Buddhism, these sutras are said to belong to the Tripitaka. 2) Communication. After the Tripitaka religion, there is what is called Thong Gia. Because of this teaching, first, we communicate with the Tripitaka, After that, we will communicate with the Doctrine, that is, "communion before the next communion," connecting the teachings, so called Thong Gia, "Thong" which means communication. 3) Missionary. After the Doctrine is the Specialist What is the Specialist Doctrine, which is a special meaning, "different from first, then different later" —not the same with the Teachers in the past, so it is very special. 4) Teacher. After the Special Teacher is Teacher. Considering in the Four religions — Tib, Thong, Special, Vien — of Thien Thai Tong, the Kinh Lang Nghiem belongs to the Priesthood. And if based on the judgment of Hien Thu Tong, the Sutras belong to the teaching of the crossbow. According to Hien Thu Tong, there are five faculties, called the Five religions, and that is Primary School, Hydrography, Chung Dao. teacher, and teacher. For the Tiantan Buddhism, the Primary School of Hien Thu Buddhism is Tibet; Hydrography is the Doctrine and the Missionaries; and three teachers Chung, Cho, Vien are all belonging to Vien Gio. So, the Five Teachings and Four Teachings of these two schools, although the name disagrees, but the meaning is only one. Primary Primary School is the Theravada Theravada of Hydra which is the beginning teaching of Mahayana, for those who only know "human no," but do not understand "Dhamma" - that is, there is an attachment to the Dharma. . And Chung Dao is Mahayana, for those who have realized the "cause and no" and "Dhamma." "Human" is not, "legal" is not - both the human and the legal are no longer available, which is called "the legal person in death." This is the Mahayana ethics. Referring to "the legal person is not," I remember one koan as follows: When Shakyamuni Buddha was still alive, there were often lay people who invited the Buddha to come home to have a son; and as is customary, when the offering is finished, The Buddha gave the sermon to the owner - the man who made the offering - listen. In accordance with the law, the owner respectfully came before the Buddha, bowed his head to bow, and then graciously invited the Buddha to lecture. If the Buddha is away, the master can invite the Buddha's Arahant disciples to go to worship, and after the sacrifice, they will also tell the master to the son. Buddhism used to exchange the sermon in exchange for rice, as I now eat rice every day because every day I tell you the Dhamma; If I do not give a sermon every day, that day I will not eat or drink anything! So, because of the problem of eating, I cannot help but give the sermon! One day, the Buddha took the great bhikkhus to make offerings, leaving only a young novice to stay in the monastery. At that time, a master came to the monastery, wanting to invite the Buddha and the monks to come home to make offerings. He prepared a few pure vegetarian dishes, and intend to invite the Buddha along with bhikkhus and novices to come to eat; But when it comes to the new monastery, or that the Buddha and the great bhikkhus went to another place, only Uncle novice left at home. The master son happily said: "It's all right, sir! I want to invite him to my house to make offerings; Please, please follow me! " Uncle Sa di was confused at that time, he only knew how to follow the owner to worship. Why are you confused? Because every time I go to pray, I go with the monks, but never go alone; Now someone invited me to have a long life, I feel anxious because I did not know there and had to speak like that. Must sermon, if I do not know the dharma, how can the theory be? However, before the fervent fervor of the owner, Uncle Sa di could not refuse, had to press his stomach to take the risk to follow. Life made offerings, as usual, the owner reverently kneels on the ground, towards Uncle Sa di, the first stage prostrates to pray for the law. How do you guess Uncle Sa di? Uncle Sa di was so scared, so he crept out of the court and sat, plugged his neck and ran for a circuit back to Ky Tho Lo Lon Lon Garden. After Uncle Sa di's life, he did not give the sermon but ran away. In his heart, he definitely felt very ashamed and shy! Meanwhile, the master bowed his head for a long time, waited forever, but saw Uncle Sa di kept silent and said nothing, then wondered: "What is this dharma about this Uncle Sa di?" He stealthily raised his head and peeked, but strangely enough, only to see an empty court, Uncle Sa di was no longer sitting there! Seeing Uncle Sa disappear suddenly, just for a moment, the master was stunned and suddenly enlightened — what was he enlightened? He grasped the ethic of "human no, no dhamma" - no people, no dharma - and exclaimed: "Ah, so that's how it is!" However, just saying that I am enlightened is still not good, but it is necessary to have the seal. So the owner rushed to the garden of Ky Tho Cap Co Lon, looking for that Sa di to ask for the seal. Uncle Sa di, after returning to the monastery, rushed back to the burial room, closed the door and locked it carefully. Why lock the door? Because I am afraid that the master will come looking for me to claim the "debt" of the Dharma, I want him to lecture while I have nothing to teach! Any doubt the door was locked for a long time, the owner did indeed come and knock on his door. Uncle Sa di was too afraid to stand still in the room, unable to speak up, only to cry silently in his stomach: "How now? I have eaten someone's meal, now they come to pray for the Dharma, what should I do? In the face of that urgent and extremely urgent situation, Uncle Sa di suddenly became enlightened, fully understood the ethic of "human no, France. is not." Through the above koan, it can be said that there are many conditions that affect each person's enlightenment. You can be enlightened by being too worried. Joy can also be the factor that makes you enlightened. The contact, collision with a certain realm can also make you enlightened. Therefore, each person's conditions for enlightenment are not the same. Some people become enlightened because of the wind blowing. Some people heard the sound of running water and enlightened them; Someone again, thanks to hearing the bell of the opening bell, to enlightenment. Someone wondered: “I've heard such sounds many times, But why has not been enlightened? " How do I know why you are not enlightened? Now I ring the bell, can you hear this bell and be enlightened? Enlightenment, it takes to wait for the right moment, for the right moment to happen. For example, when you cook rice, you have to wait until the rice is cooked before you can eat it; Likewise, your enlightenment also has to wait until the predestined relationship is ripe! Now, for the time being, you just need to concentrate diligently and practice mindfulness, one day you will definitely be enlightened. If you are enlightened now, the better; And if you are not enlightened, you should wait leisurely, don't be impatient! You shouldn't be so impatient that you can't eat or sleep — absolutely not! So, Chung Dao is the teaching meaning for people who have realized the ethic of "no man is not"; That is the entrance to the sea of Mahayana teachings. Even though Chung Dao is "the Bodhisattva teaching," that is not the ultimate teaching. On the Taoism there is also Dharma and Vienam Teacher, which is the teaching of the "free-to-fear" nature of all things. The Sutras belong to the Teachers, and it is said that in the future, all sentient beings can become Buddhas: "Weakness disperses mind, joins the temple tower, most proclaims Namo Buddha, plus into Buddhism. " When people go to a temple or temple tower to worship Buddha, their mind must be sincere and professional. Here, the Sutras of the United States refers to people who are not sincere, but enter the temple and chant a word "Namo Buddha." Although not sincere, but thanks to a recite "Namo Buddha" in the future, they will also become Buddhas! If we recite the Buddha's name, we should dedicate merit to all sentient beings. The Buddha's recitation should be for everyone, for sentient beings, to recite, not for himself; to be like that, the greater the merit, the more indifferent the content is. Here I remember a koan. When the Buddha was in the world, once the Buddha led us disciples to a certain country, which the king and the people of that country neither welcomed nor made offerings to the Buddha and monks. That time, the fake Religious Muc Kien Lien did not go with the Buddha. Later, when the Venerable Ma Ha Muc Kien Lien arrived in this country to meet the Buddha, in the country from the great king to the nation, everyone cheered respectfully and happily made offerings. need to use for fake Ton. Before this event, the Buddha's disciples felt extremely strange and difficult to understand; they have a tumultuous discussion: "Virtue is as deep as Buddha, when coming to this place, no one will be welcomed, no one offers! However, the fake Religion Muc Kien Lien is just a disciple of the Buddha. Just coming, everyone will respectfully welcome and offer offerings; Why? " The disciples then came to the Buddha and asked the reason. At that time, the Buddha explained to the disciples: "You want to know why, when I came here, did the king, the princes, and the whole people not make offerings to Me?" That is because in my past life, I did not make good conditions with them! At that time, countless eons ago, Mr. Muc Kien Lien was a woodcutter every day to go to the forest to cut wood. One day, while looking for firewood, the woodcutter ran into a hive and was stung by a swarm of bees. At that time, the woodcutter, ie the forerunner of Muc Kien Lien, just recited Buddha's name and made his vow: 'Nam Mo Buddha! Do not burn me any more bees. In the future, when we obtain the Path, I will degree you to become Buddhas first. You should let go of your malice and don't harm others! ' Mr. Muc Kien Lien took his vow and was no longer stung by the siege. After that, this hive rotates until today, the queen bee has become king, the worker bees become the nation of this country. The woodcutter in his past life is now Mr. Muc Kien Lien, a monk. Because in the past he had made a wish to swarms of bees, the forerunners of the people of this country, so today he just came here, he immediately received the deference and warmth of the whole country! Why? This is due to predestined conditions created in previous lives — in the previous life, Muc Kien Lien made the aspiration to become a Buddha, so today they are welcome like that. ” Therefore, if we cultivate the Path, we should associate with all sentient beings, should care about them, aspirate them, making not only one being but all sentient beings become Buddhas. Although invisible, invisible, but in the heart of every living being there is a radio wire that can inform you Even though you can't see it, if you treat everyone well, silently they will definitely feel it. For all sentient beings, you should have the mind to make them Buddhas. If we each have this aspiration, then we can create good conditions wherever we go. Someone asked: “I went to somewhere and there, but no one greeted me, no one cared about me; Why is that? " Why? Because in your previous life you did not have conditions with the people who lived there. So this word "grace" is very important. We, Taoists, there is a need for karmic affiliation with all sentient beings. There is a saying: "The result of Bodhicitta, First results sentient beings." When you have not yet harvested the Bodhi fruit, you have not become a Buddha, you first need to create good conditions with sentient beings. By crossbow It is to treat all living beings well! Treat all sentient beings with kindness and treat all sentient beings well. Whatever is useful for sentient beings that you can do with your strength, you should try to do it, don't be slow. This is very important, because it is the generating mind of the great Bodhisattva. You should not be a Hinayana, you should not only know yourself but think of others. "Want results of Bodhi, Expansion of sentient beings." Why must karmic affinity with sentient beings? Since sentient beings are all Buddhas, you mean good to good beings; you are not good towards beings, ie not good to Buddha. Therefore, if you can consider all sentient beings to be Buddhas, then sentient beings will also consider you to be Buddha; If you consider sentient beings to be the demon king, sentient beings also see you as the demon king. It's the same thing as wearing colored glasses - if you wear blue glasses, everyone will see it as blue, and someone else looks back at you and it's blue too If you wear pink glasses Then everywhere you look, you see all the color pink! How your eyes see people, people look back and you also see the same. So, as I said, in mind all sentient beings have radios connected to each other, connected to the house. You should not assume that you have raised an evil mind, then others will never know. OK. Right! He cannot know concretely, but his nature has a kind of sensation, capable of feeling. In the human-human relationship, if you treat people well, then it belongs to the "yang"; behave badly towards everyone, it belongs to "phonemes." The whole moral and sense contained in the Sutra Pitaka is as deep as the ocean, but do you know how deep the ocean is? Some say it is measurable to know; However, the ocean is vast and vast, you measure this place so deep, it might be a little shallow or deeper there, so it's impossible to know how deep the ocean really is. So is the ethics of the Sutra Pitaka, it is not easy for you to comprehend the potential teachings in the sutras. Everyone enjoys different benefits from the Suttas, but all derive from the wisdom of the sutras. Since the meaning in the Suttas is so profound, the wisdom we acquire from the sutras will is great, and the acquired concentration will also be very solid; so it is called "Necessarily Consistent Salvation." Together we study this sutra, each person will gain a bit of possession, but the meaning of the sutras is not so impaired or reduced. The magical profound meaning of this sutra is like sea water. You scoop up a barrel, the water in the sea is still very much, infinitely infinite, not removed. The meaning of this sutra too, is also very infinite! Even when you are enlightened, the moral of this sutra is still as much as before, exactly the same as when you were not enlightened. As much wisdom you absorb from the sutras, the wisdom contained in the sutras does not increase or decrease; so the meaning of this sutra is as wide as the vast ocean, never ending. V. Nang Thuyen The Church This is the fifth of the ten discernible subjects of Thien Thai Tong. What is "Church"? Why is it necessary to have parish? All the teachings that the Buddha proclaimed had the doctrine of the religion; Then what is the life of the Kinh Lang Nghiem? That is noun, owl, text and vocal. "Name" is the title, is the name; "Owl" is sentence-by-sentence; "Literature" is literature; and "sound" is sound. Bodhisattva Van Thu told Buddha Shakyamuni that when the Tathagata appears in life, "Try the way of the religion, Purity in the text." (Kinh Lang Nghiem, volume 6) "Trials" that is only the world Ta Ba; "True Church" is the true and true Church. What, then, is this true doctrine of the Tāmāna realm? "Purification in the sound text" - literature is the nature of the teachings in this place. "Text" means sound, but only sound can not call it the church; because wind can also make sounds, water can also make noises, but wind and water cannot become the body. So what is the church? It is "sound, fame, owl, text." "Qing" is the sound of Buddha's sermon; from this sound that generates catalogs, up names; the categories are combined into sentences; each sentence each sentence merged into literature. So, "sound, list, owl, text" is the missionary of the deity. This congregation also includes four subjects; but "sound, reputation, owl, and literature" belongs to the subject depending on the subject. In addition, there is only consciousness subject — Kinh Lang Nghiem also takes the only consciousness as the Catholic. And Quy Tanh subject ("regulation" is return, "Tanh" is self-nature), This subject does not explain "General" but returns "Tanh" - this sutra also takes "Tanh" as the Catholic. And, No mind is also the subject matter of this sutra. The only knowledge subject, the lecture on "Three idealistic world, the only legal world." The Buddha Shakyamuni observed the predestined conditions of sentient beings to see what dharma they should use. Then from the pure consciousness, the Buddha preaches the appropriate Dhamma to educate beings; and from within consciousness, sentient beings also gain the benefit of the dharma. This is called "only consciousness", "only consciousness" as the missionary. Tanh Tanh subject, the member is free from fear, "reaction of the rules" - "consciousness" is no more, all returns to the self nature; So, "Tanh" is also the Catholic Church. The subjects mentioned above are reasonable, but Quy Tanh subject is of physics. What is "Unobtrusive subjects"? When these four subjects — Dependent on the subject, Duy consciousness, Quy Tanh and Non-shy subjects — combine, then "the unobstructed, the unobtrusive reasoning" Li and the non-obstacle, all are free of obstacles, all are free-minded - "free-minded" is the parent of this sutra. Y according to Hien Thu's words in Khoi Tin Luan, the strategy is divided into four subjects "sound, reputation, owl, and literature" that mentioned above is the subject of the subject. Based on the only beast of the tenets of only consciousness, taking the only consciousness as the clergy, so it is called the only knowledge subject. But the mind cannot be mindful, this sutra says "most are regulated as Tathagata, miraculous legs like Tanh," so two teachers, identity are taking the nature of the clergy, called Quy Tanh subject. Again, for the first three subjects, "the psychological scene" are both timeless mutual support, together with the use of photography. Dependent on the subject of "the scene," the subject of the subject of "the mind," constitutes the "mind of the mind". "Reasoning uneasiness, "Should be called Vo shy subject, and is the Catholic Church of the VI. Facility of Suspected What is a “suspect facility”? It is about sentient beings that have the basis of being taught by this sutra. Kinh Lang Nghiem teachers of any kind of beings? This sutta can teach, making "unintentional love, unintentional fellow human beings" - both sentient beings and unintentionally can attest to Buddhahood. Mainly the teachers are taught as Thanh Van, Duyen Sensory and Huu hoc. What is Thanh Van? The Noble Phantasms are those who, through listening to the sound of the Buddha, are enlightened to Đạ. They practice the Four Noble Truths — Suffering, Practicing, Destroying, Dao. What is Dependent Origination? There are two types of Dependent Origination, namely Dependent Origination and Poisoning. One was born in the Buddha's time in the world and by practicing the Twelve Causes and Conditions to enlighten the Path, called Dependent Origination. The One is a person born in the time without Buddha and often lives in the depths of the mountain with the cup, hermits in a deserted cave, examines the phenomena of birth and death, cessation of creation of all things in heaven and earth: Hundreds of flowers bloom in spring, Fall watch falling yellow leaves. and by seeing these realms that enlightenment. The Kinh Lang Nghiem capitalizes two kinds of opportunities, namely, Thanh Van and Duyen Giac, and also the practitioner of Huu study. What is Huu hoc? "Huu to learn" is that there is an education, there is still a place to learn, and that is the Quaternary Arhat, the Bodhisattva. Four results Arhat, Bodhisattva called Friendship; to attain the attainment of a new Buddha is Uneducated (one no longer has to study). In addition, Kinh Lang Nghiem also teaches goods "the nature" of Thanh Van - ie the Qing texts do not want to "return to the direction of the direction". What about "unpredictable" Thanh Van? "Unwavering nature" Thanh Van can "restore minor direction of direction", "Recuperate the direction of great", that is, it is possible to change from the result of the Noble Phantasm to the Pratyekabuddha, then to become a Bodhisattva. Above are the faculties that the Sutra Pitaka says these four faculties - Thanh Van, Dependent Origination, Bodhisattva, "Tanh" Thanh Van - are the chance, but if you say it broadly, then all beings In the Three Realms, they are all opportunities of this sutra, they can all receive the teaching from the sutras. This is the sixth discernment subject, the Department is suspected, talking about the suspects taught by the Kinh Lang Nghiem teaching that can cause the "qualities" of Thanh Van "to return to the great direction," generate Bodhicitta, become Bodhicitta. The result, so this sutra can be said as "inorganic without being, without any reason" (no root is not acquired, no one cannot be saved). VII. Tong Animal Special What is "cardboard"? Worship, veneration called "Tong." Department of rules, where the trend of "cardboard" is called "animal." Second residency (Thanh Van, Duyen Sensory) specializes in teaching about cause and effect; Second power is also the right to redundancy. The teachings that the Buddha taught, including the Power and Realization "Right" are short-lived; "Real" is forever and ever. The Dharma of the Rights of redundancy is used temporarily, the majority of them teach about cause and effect — cause is "cardboard," is indeed "beast." In fact, the lecture on enlightenment - enlightenment is "cardboard," enter is "beast." Ananda, "in danger of being in distress," was rescued by the Buddha, and then taught him "to return to the great direction" —that is the "tone" of the sutras. is "beast." So, the beast of the Kinh Lang Nghiem is familiar with Buddhism; unlike other Hinayana sutras, they are also restricted to the right to suspect the Dharma of the Second Mantrayana, unable to attain Buddhahood. So, this is the point of distinguishing from the duality teachings. VIII. The Theory of the Pre-Late Period We now talk about the time when the Buddha preached the Surangama Sutra. The Buddha preached for forty-nine years. When the Buddha sermon the Surangama Sutra, the Persian King was sixty-two years old. The Persian King Nac was the same age as the Buddha, so this sutra must belong to the time of the Orient. Thus, above (Hien Thu Tong) judgments of this sutra belonging to Chung Dao, is correct. IX. Ming Truyen Calendar "Calendar" is a calendar, spreading crows "Ming" is to make each of us transparent, understand clearly. "Transmission" is transmission. "Translate" is the translator. So, this part is about the background, the process of propagating and translating this sutra. Talking about the predestined background of Kinh Lang Nghiem, very, very long time. When the Great Master of Heavenly Guru studied reciting the Sutras of the United States, it divided the sutras into three parts, namely, the Self-section, the Chief Justice section, and the Venerable part. "Self", as above taught, is the title article, the opening text of the Sutra. "The Chief Justice section" is the main text, which clearly states the animal tone of the scriptures. "Circulation part" is the end of the sutra, advises people to circulate, popularize the sutra. The Great Master Tri divided the content of each of the classics into three such parts. Later, an Indian magician came to China, who told the Great Master that: "You divide like that very well in accordance with the sutras in India. The Indian scriptures are also divided into three similar parts; Typically the Kinh Lang Nghiem, also divided in this way. ” After listening to the Heavenly Heavenly Master, every day, we look to the West earnestly to worship, wish we could see the Kinh Lang Nghiem. Great master worshiped for eighteen years, but in the end still could not see this sutra! At the same time, the King of India had a lot of respect for the Sutra Pitaka, considering it as a "national treasure" (a national treasure). Why is it seen as a national treasure? This series of sutras was brought back by the Bodhisattva Long Thang to the Long Palace, so the local people consider this sutra to be a national treasure, and prohibit propagation abroad. Later, there was Master Bat Lac Mat De — who translated the Surangama Sutra into Chinese — adopted the intention of spreading this sutra abroad, especially to China, where the culture is very extensive. . Initially, he sneaked this sutra to China. Unexpectedly, on the border, he was searched by customs officers and confiscated, not allowing him to take it away. Later, He devised a method that could bring the sutras out of the water without being immediately detected — in very small handwriting, he copied the entire scripture of the Lang Nghiem on top of the thinnest and smoothest fabric, then folded it down and seal with wax thoroughly. Next, he slashed his arm and inserted the scroll into his flesh, then sprayed the medicine and bandaged it, waiting for the wound to heal. Someone said that He hid the sutras in his thighs, but I thought that was not respectful; so he definitely hid in his biceps, or a thick place of flesh in his upper body. When the wound was healed, he left for China. . When he arrived in Guangdong Province (China), At the same time, Prime Minister Phong Dung was taken up from office and transferred to Guangdong. He was invited by Prime Minister Phong Dung to stay at a temple in Guangdong to translate the Sutra of Nghiem. Above are the difficulties and hardships in the process of infusion of the Kinh Lang Nghiem. Today we can study and recite this sutra, thanks to the determination not to be afraid of the hardships and hardships of the Master of the Eight Lilies, who brought this sutra to China. Think how important this sutra is! The Great Master Tri learned that Thien Truc had this Sutra of Nghiem, so he went to worship for eighteen years, looking forward to seeing, but in the end, it was still not satisfied! Today we can not only be worshiped, but also together can recite and study the Sutras of Lang Nghiem, how victorious such conditions are! Hope you all appreciate! Originally: 唐中 天竺 沙門 般 刺 蜜 諦 譯。 Sino-Vietnamese: Tang Trung Truc Sa Mon Sabbath Secret Emperor translation. Lecture: "Tang" is the Tang dynasty, Trung Ho country. What period of the Tang dynasty was this at? WhatWell, after the abdication of Vo Tac Thien, Trung Tong Emperor just became a teenager, the old Shen Long reign. "Thien Truc" means India. "Sa Mon" (Shramana) is Indian, Chinese translates as "need news" - "need" to practice the precepts of wisdom, "ie" to destroy the desire to destroy the Buddha's hatred can also be called Sa Mon. When the Buddha was still in the world, one day, a monk Ma Thang was wearing a robe and walked away when he met the fake Religion Xa Loi Phat, the fake Ton asked him: "Ah! The teacher is so solemn like that, I definitely have a Master, please ask me to study with him. works like a theory. " That means: "All dhammas are born from conditions, all dhammas are also destroyed by conditions. My master is the Buddha. He is a Mahamudra and often teaches like that! " Heard that, Mr. Xa Loi Phat immediately followed Ma Thang to Ky Tho Granted Lonely Garden, worshiped the Buddha and ordained as a monk. So, the Buddha is also called Sa Mon. His Holiness the Bat Lac Mantra "is more than happy to be angry, teaches sentient beings," so he was called "the Monk." He himself brought the Surangama Sutra into China, and quickly completed the translation of the sutras into Chinese. Why did Praetornah want to quickly complete the translation? Because soon after he sneaked his sutra abroad, the King of India knew and wanted to punish the customs officers at the border for loopholes, so that he could escape. Therefore, the Sorcerer Bat Lac Mat De wanted to soon return to his country to confess guilt, endure the punishment, not let the King punish the customs staff. Because of this, we can see the virtuous and noble disciplines of the Sorcerer Bat Lac Mat De. The dedication of the Sorcerer Bat Lac Mat De to the Sutra Pitaka is extremely great! Today we see this sutra, we should be grateful for the great merits of the Noble Eightfold Noble Truth. That is why at the beginning of the sutras, I want to introduce to everyone a part of the dhamma propaganda deeds of this monk. Each of us should learn the virtue of "need to cultivate the precepts of wisdom, that is, to destroy greed, anger and delusion" of the monk. What is "need to cultivate the precepts of wisdom"? To cultivate the precepts, concentration, and wisdom, you must first take refuge in the Three Jewels, and then maintain the Five Precepts. Not to receive the Five Precepts, once you have lived, you need to follow the precepts to practice. . What is called practice? That is not breaking the precepts! I believe that everyone knows what the Five Precepts are. These are the five precepts: 1) not killing, 2) not stealing, 3) not committing adultery, 4) not lying, 5) not drinking. These five precepts are very important — these are the standards and norms of a Buddhist practitioner. If we can all practice the Five Precepts, practice the Five Precepts, we won't lose our human body. Someone disgruntled that: “The four previous precepts that need to be kept are also acceptable, but why is alcohol in the five forbidden precepts? Why ban alcohol? I do not want to study Dharma now; why? Because there is a precept that prohibits alcohol, but I am very fond of drinking alcohol, so I do not want to study Buddhism! " You should reflect on your own: “Is smoking right? Should not drink alcohol? " Another said: “Everyone drinks, everyone smokes. That is a human's natural preference, what's wrong? " They do not know that, “I am familiar with my eyes so I cannot see, "Practicing infection gradually becomes a habit, no longer seeing that is wrong, so you close your eyes and follow other people — if people drink, we also drink, they smoke, they also smoke! The bad habit that has been practiced for a long time becomes a wind spirit, so they think it is normal. And because of that, they became stupid, not enlightened, listening to what people said, so I said that, in the end they changed their form, the addiction became worse and worse, the accumulation of qi accumulated difficult to subtract, and remained quarreling and quarreling, justifying his bad habits; This is really sad! If people do not have a serious illness, they also have a mild illness, but without a mild illness, it is also a misery. Smoking and drinking alcohol are both bad habits that need to be eliminated. quit alcohol, drugs! You see, how stupid it is! Why do we need to keep the wine world? Now I will tell you a koan: There is a man who develops the belief of Buddha and receives the Five Precepts, only the habit of like to drink alcohol cannot give up. So, after taking the precepts, one day that person thought, "I can just sip a little bit of wine to stop craving, I'm sure it's okay!" So he drank a few sips of wine, and then felt bored with lack of food. Unlike Westerners, Chinese people need a little bit of food when drinking alcohol. At that moment, he suddenly saw a neighbor's chicken searching for food nearby, and happily grabbed it — that was a crime against stealing. What did he take the chicken for? To get chicken as a drink! And, so he committed the precepts of killing and killing. So, in just a moment, he continuously committed the world of alcoholism, the world of stealing, and the world of killing. While he was drinking, when the neighbor's wife came knocking on the door to find a chicken. He opened the door, the neighbor's wife came in and asked: "Did you see my chicken running over here?" He shook his head furiously, saying: "No! I don't see any chickens. " Thus, he violated the world of aspirations as well. While he was half-drunk, his wine was flushed, he saw that the neighbor's wife was very beautiful, so he started an adultery, raping her. After everything broke up, he was taken to the road, and punished according to the law. Just because he was drinking, he broke the five precepts consecutively. This is because alcohol disturbs people, causes people to lose control, make mistakes, and inflict disaster on their bodies, it is really "a small speck of fire that can burn down a vast field." You cannot be careful, you cannot help preserve it! After taking refuge in the Three Jewels, you can apply for the Five Precepts. Each precepts have five godly deities — if you keep the moral precepts, the gods will follow and protect you; If you break the precepts, these gods will leave, not protecting you. Therefore, the ordination in Buddhism is very important. How is ordination? If we only look at the book by ourselves, then say according to the book that we do not kill, do not steal, do not adultery, do not speak, do not drink; it is not ordination — taking precepts cannot be that simple and arbitrary. Nor is it about going to the Buddha altar to burn incense, or burning a few doses of incense on my arm and saying that you have been ordained! You need to request a high monk to prove it, officially impart the world, then it is called ordination. After taking the precepts, you need to keep the precepts to be serious That way, there will be unbelievable merit. The principle of Kinh Lang Nghiem is to teach us to practice great steadfastness. We cultivate and wisdom is opened; if there is no samadhi then without wisdom, how can it be possible to learn Buddha? So where does concentration come from? Concentration is from the precepts that arises — normally without indulgent bliss, using the mind to deal with, that is to practice. The practice, originated in the new precepts, can in the practice of corresponding to the Dharma, imbued in the sea of Dharma, attaining diligence and peace. When it comes to samadhi, there are many kinds of Consciousness, if it is not wavered by the surrounding environment, it is concentration. How to get this concentration? First of all, you need to be calm; If you want to be calm, you must take meditation and meditate. For us, we will go west today, tomorrow we go east, changing erratically, I moved everywhere, so I was not settled. If you want to be determined, you must use the practice of spiritual practice. Today we all practice meditation; But while practicing concentration, sometimes we encounter many realms. When the realm comes, you do not let yourself be turned around by the realm, that is concentration; If you are turned around by the realm, there is no such intention. Like receiving a letter of sad news, for example, if you have immediate sadness and anxiety, then you do not have concentration. Because there is no concentration, the mind is not yet stable, so just facing the challenge is not able to bear it. Or when meeting with joy, they eagerly run after that joy, so there is no concentration; Or encounter something wrong, then get angry, angry — that is also not having any concentration, not yet succeeding in terms of cultivation. You need to be unhappy, not angry, no one, no marbles; nor do they work with all kinds of feelings of joy, anger, ai, compassion, but must work with spirituality, which is called having practice. Cultivation and then, then opening wisdom; if there is no concentration, then there is no wisdom power, and if there is no wisdom, how can one learn the Dharma? Where does concentration, wisdom power come from? All are born of precepts — so first you have to take the precepts, and then you have to keep the precepts, so that you can practice according to the dharma. Once you have corresponded with the dharma, you will be imbued with the sea water of the Buddha Dharma. So, the ninth distinguishing subject is the Calendar of Transfusion, introducing the background of the propagator and translator of the scriptures. The person who has been instrumental in transmitting the Surangama Sutra is "Duong, Trung Thien Truc Sa, Bat Lac Mat De." Sa subject Bat Lac Secret Emperor (Paramiti) is the "service" of the colonial translation of Kinh Lang Nghiem. Why call him "translator"? At that time, in charge of translating the Lang Nghiem Sutra, there was not only Bat Lac Mat De, but more than two hundred Mages gathered at Che Chi Pagoda and studied together to translate this sutra. And, the Noble Eightfold Path was the head of that translation committee. Just now, I have said that "Monk" means "need to cultivate the precepts of wisdom, that is, to kill greed, anger and delusion." Because these three things of greed, anger, and delusion are as harmful as poison, so it is also called "three poisonous." The reason that we have not become Buddha is because of these three poisons; If we eliminate these three poisons, we will quickly become a Buddha. The three poisonous things are: 1) Greed. Human greed is infinite, greed does not know boredom. Regardless, one wants to give as much, as much as possible; that is greed. 2) Consciousness. This is indignation; When he encountered something unsatisfactory, he became angry, giving birth to anger. 3) Mindfulness. "Si mind" means delusional ignorance, extremely foolishness, doing whatever you do. If you can eradicate these three poisons, you will be with the respective Path, easily achieving the Paths. Sa subject has four classes: 1) Thang Dao Sa subject. These are the ones who attest to fruition — or to attain Arahantship, or to attain bodhisattva results. Ranks Sa subject evidence results called Thang Dao Sa subjects. 2) Theory of Taoism. These are the Sa subjects who go around propagating the legal benefits of birth. "Hoang" is vast; As I am now teaching you the sutras, it is called "propagating the Dharma." "Benefit being" is the benefit of sentient beings, making the benefit of all beings. "Bringing the Dharma benefits to birth" is the aspiration of the Said Dao. 3) The Sa Mon Dao. Monks who diligently observe the precepts, focus on the precepts, not breaking the precepts, living in accordance with the Dao, using the practice of the Tao as the reason of his life, is called Hoat Dao Sa Mon. 4) O Dao Sa Mon. These are the people who have been ordained but violate the precepts, eat salty food, go against the Buddha's precepts, tarnish Buddhism, adversely affect this Sabbath Buddhism that makes others look to them and say: This ordination does not keep the precepts! ”; and because of that, people lose their faith, they no longer have faith and don't want to be close to female Buddhism. So, O Dao Monk is a monastic order that tarnishes Buddhism. So, what kind of Sabbath Sabbath Monk, who has the merit to translate the Surangama Sutra, belongs to what kind of monk? He belongs to the previous three categories — we can call Him the Thang Dao Sa Mon, also called the Saidistic Doctrine, and also called the Samsara; but not O Dao Sa Mon. "The Eight Lies of Secret Emperor" is Sanskrit, The Chinese translation is "extreme" - the meaning is that wisdom and talent are extremely rich, extremely complete. He is the presiding officer of the translation of Kinh Lang Nghiem. Why is it called "translation"? "Translation" is a translator, translator from Indian to Chinese. "Translation" is also "weird," which means change translation, that is, the Sanskrit word converted into Chinese. The Master in charge of this translation was the Noble Eightfold Bat. At the same time, at Che Chi Pagoda, a large monastery in Guangzhou, more than two hundred wizards gathered to work together to translate the Sutra of Nghiem. Why should we talk about the "translator"? Because His dedication to the Suttas is very great, the merit is so great, so before studying the text, we should know him. The first position in the "intelligent infusion calendar" is "translation master. Originally: 烏 萇 國 沙門 彌 伽 釋迦 譯 語 Sino-Vietnamese: O Truong Quoc Sa subject Di Old Thich Ca translated. Lecturer: In the ashram, translating the Lang Nghiem Sutra by the shaman Bat Lac Mat De as "translator" this, there is a "assistant" for him from O Truong country (Udyana) is the Monk of the Old Di Gi Ca. "O Truong" is the name of a contemporary ancient Indian nation; It used to be the flower garden of King Tien A Du Ca, so it was called O Truong (烏 場), in the north of India. "Meghashikara" (Meghashikara) is Sanskrit, Chinese translates as "ability to surrender," means that he has the ability to surrender all afflictions, can also be said to submit to all evil. In short, he can surrender. This Sorcerer assists with the "translation of language" - that is, translating the language, reviewing and correcting the sentences, From Sanskrit into Chinese, He is one of the wizards in charge of the most important task in translating the Sutra Pitaka. Originally: 羅浮 山南 樓 寺 沙門 懷 迪 證 譯。 Sino-Vietnamese sound: La Phu Son Nam Lau from Hoai Dich subject to translation. Lecturer: "La Phu Son" means La Phu mountain, one of the famous mountains in Guangdong province, Trung Ho country "Nam Lau Tu" means Nam Lau pagoda, where Hoai Dich monk resides. Perhaps when giving the disciple the name of the disciple, Hoai Dich's master wished that he would always make great efforts in his practice, so choosing this name— "nostalgic" was the ambition; while the "enemy" is the advancement — the message is to always be diligent and determined to practice. Hoai Dich magician has a profound education, likes to study scriptures at the same time, so he has mastered the classic meaning, fused in common, and is fluent in Sanskrit. so can assume the office "the epidemic." ("Proof" is the proof and the warrant.) The shaman Bat Lip Tantric Emperor and Mage Di Old Shakyam are knowledgeable in Sanskrit, Patterns, why even invite a Chinese Mage to prove for Because you two have just arrived in China, and are afraid that you do not fully understand the language of this country, you must especially invite a Chinese Mage to help you with the witness. translation, to perfectionism perfectionism. So, the Master Hoai Dich is the proof of the translation in the ashram to translate Kinh Lang Nghiem. However, with the exception of the old editions, in later editions of the Kinh Lang Nghiem, the name of Mage Hoai Dich is usually not included. Why omit le le I have never looked up and found out the reason; Now I just want to introduce this detail to you and hope in the future, those who study, recite or lecture the Surangama Sutra, will all know the identity of the Master responsible for proving this translation. Originally: 菩薩 戒 弟子 前 正 議 大夫 同 中 書 門下 平章事 清河 房 融 筆 受 Sino-Vietnamese sound: Bodhisattva's pre-Chanh Disciple Master, fellow Lieutenant Xiamen, General narrative, Thanh Ha Phong Dung life pen. Teaching: "The Bodhisattva Precepts" has a total of ten important and forty-eight contemptuous precepts, and is the dharma precept to study the Bodhisattva. This is the Mahayana Dharma precepts, which the monastic and lay people should both maintain. Sutra Pham Vong says: Regardless of whether the king is the king, or the great official, when he succeeds or becomes a mandarin, he should receive the Bodhisattva's precepts. Mr. Phong Dung worked as a prime minister; In the Buddhist sense, he has a very deep understanding. Because he took the Bodhisattva precepts, taking the Buddha to be the father, the Bodhisattva as the brother, so proclaimed himself a "disciple." He was ordained as the Bodhisattva, and is "money chief executive officer" "Money" means before — he used to hold the position of Chief Justice, but now (when translating) is no longer in the position of "Chief Conference", in the History book called "Chief of Cockroaches," which means "Conference of the great women" "Conference" means to worry about? It is the "Mandarin" —what is wrong in the country, this official will criticize and advise to stop the cockroaches — that the dynasty called this official "History." "Madame" is a way of addressing the official. "Lower secondary correspondent." The word "copper" here has two explanations. First, "copper" is concurrently copper; then "fellow Lieutenant Xiamen" means one person who concurrently holds two Prime Ministers. "Lieutenant Colonel" is a prime minister, "The Lower" is also a prime minister — one who concurrently holds both positions of the Ta Huu Prime Minister, should be called "co-Lieutenant Xiamen." "Lieutenant Colonel" and "Monk" are the positions of the Prime Minister's government. Second, "copper" is the community; then "fellow Lieutenant Xiamen" means that together with his colleagues, Lieutenant Colonel, Mon Xiamen works and handles public service. "Lieutenant Secretary" is in charge of official dispatches and papers of the court. The decrees and decrees of the king are all managed by the Prime Minister of the Chinese Communist Party. "Lower" is worried about politics and administration. Therefore, the two Prime Ministers, one is the manager in charge of issuing the decrees, and the other is obeying the orders. Mr. Phong Dung is a person who concurrently holds two positions, one person who does two jobs. "The average" - "average" is the average; "Chapter" is clear, clear; "The" is the thing. So, "The average level" is the average handling of political affairs, court work, clarifying the state law. "Thanh Ha" is the hometown of Mr. Phong Dung. "Phong Dung" is a person's name — Room is a surname, Dung is a first name. He has a son named the Office of Management, who also works as a prime minister. The records of Mr. Phong Dung's life are very few, mostly taken from the memoir of his son, Phong Quan. "Pen life" is the use of the pen-tip of the quintessential ideology of the texts, also called "the linguist." "Nhuan" is to refine, make the chapter of grammar, literature and meaning better and more complete. In the Kinh Lang Nghiem, the practice of using words is very beautiful, can be proclaimed as the first in the sutras. Because Prime Minister Phong Dung, a great writer, profoundly educated, personally profiled the Chinese translation, the text of this sutra is very accurate and very complete. If you have a will to learn Chinese, this sutta is enough to make a rule. You read well, memorize the Sutra of Nghiem, your Chinese language level will improve a lot X. Van Nghia Prize This is the analysis, explanation of the meaning of the entire text, and The judgment is made in three parts: 1) Sections; 2) Chief Justice; and 3) Circulation section. This judgment started from the Master Dao An, the high monk of the Tan dynasty, in Trung Ho. Because Hau Qin Phu Kien brought ten thousand troops to get Tuong Duong, which was considered a joy by Dai Master Dao An's close friends. so people in the future often call Great Master Dao An "Phu Tan Dao An." "The first part" is the dependent origination part, introducing the conditions and conditions of the sutras. "The Chief Justice section" is the main content, clarification of the animal tone of the business. "Circulation" is the encouragement part and save the father at the end of the sutra. This "three-faceted sutra" judgment by Great Master Dao An is attained by the Bodhisattva's Bodhisattva Than Quang; therefore, it is possible to know that the high virtues of India and China have the same view, so the Masters later follow this judgment and propagate the dharma and teach. The above lecture belongs to the "money means" of the sutras; Now we will study the scriptures in three parts — the First Order, the Chief Justice, and the Circus. The above lecture belongs to the "money means" of the sutras; Now we will study the scriptures in three parts — the First Order, the Right Path, and the Circus.
