What are the factors of a good person (moral person)?VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
When Ananda asked the Buddha about the teachings of the Buddhas in the past, present and future generations, are they similar and different. The Buddha answered with 4 verses:
“Don't do all evil.
Achieving virtuous actions,
The mind is clean,
It is the teachings of the Buddhas. "
1-Do not do all evil: Do not harm yourself, harm people, harm both. This is the basic moral standard. The person who holds the five basic precepts (intentionally avoiding killing, stealing, adultery, lying, drinking and intoxicants) is called a moral person. In the Covid epidemic, for example, the act of complying with social distance, wearing a mask is to avoid harming oneself and not harming others is a moral act.
2-Achievement of the blessings: It is the practice of 10 karmic blessings (giving, observing the precepts, meditating, reverently, serving, dedicating, rejoicing, listening to the Dharma, teaching the Dharma, right understanding). The person who achieves 10 karma not only does not harm himself or harms him, but also brings happiness to himself and others. For example, doctors who wholeheartedly cure patients are giving fearless alms, bringing happiness to patients. In-kind contributors or community service are also dancers.

3-Mind keeping clean: After doing good deeds, not doing evil deeds, it is followed by the practice of mindfulness and awareness in the four foundations of mindfulness (body, feeling, mind, dhamma) in order not to create work. All thoughts, words, actions in mindfulness and awareness do not afflict us and suffer people, bring happiness to ourselves and to others by being free from conditioned conditions (creating new karma). For example, in 10 of the happy karma (good deeds), if you want to give things, you must have artifacts. If there are no objects, you cannot give, so there are conditions. Or if there are artifacts, we need to find the appropriate object for giving, that is, we still need conditions for giving. That means still suffering (dukkha) because impermanence governs.
*CONCLUDE:
1-To the world, the one who holds the 5 precepts (does not harm oneself, does not harm people) is ethical.
2-For those who practice 10 karma, it will bring benefits to themselves and the new one is moral.
3-For those who meditate on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, it is not the cause of suffering (practicing the Truth or creating new karma).
This is also the same general teaching of the Buddhas in the past, present and future three lifetimes. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.6/8/2020.
