"Planting merit in the Saints, this good root can not end."  This saint does not mean the assembly of all Saints, but it is the pure and harmonious sangha. Of course, a monk is not a saint, and where a monk is not in harmony, there is no holy them. Actually, the current practice, the ordained congregations that meet the Saints' standards are not many, but they are not nonexistent. 

In other words, the congregations that practice and achieve Gender-Dinh-Tue are fertile fields for us to cultivate merit. The Sangha has a very important role, thanks to the fact that the Sangha devotees its efforts to promote, that the Three Jewels will endure in the world. Respecting, making offerings, sustaining, obeying the guidance, vow to follow the monks' footsteps to cultivate merit in them.
