I. INTRODUCTION:
Buddhism is one of the earliest community organizations in human history. A community is built on the principle for the benefit of all people with 6 principles of living in harmony (Six principles of harmony), adapting to all ages from past to present.
WHAT IS HOLIDAY?
Luc is 6, harmony is harmony, joy together in all works of life. Luc harmony is the six methods of showing the personality of living a virtuous person, bringing harmony, love, helping and sharing with each other, from material to spiritual, from words to all. job in life.
Harmony here with noble purposes, for the benefit of ourselves and others, not passively and weak, nor using tricks to silently take advantage of themselves.
In the family, when brothers do not get along happily with each other, the love of the flesh is divided. Husband and wife do not get along, the family career is difficult to achieve, children are affected by their parents' way of life but suffer. If we live in the same village, we do not get along, we are more likely to create harassment, conflicts, quarrels and lawsuits than lose, fight and destroy each other.
If there is no harmony in the same group, the unit will disintegrate before or after, because there is no unity and sympathy for each other. Therefore, we know how to apply the spirit of green harmony in everyday life, so people know to love and help each other with human love in life.
Peace is the most important factor in all jobs, all organizations and unions. A family knows how to live in harmony, the family is happy, the country is harmonious, the country is stable and long-term, everyone knows how to live in harmony, the world will not have war or chaos.
Because of the importance of a harmonious lifestyle in family and social life, the Buddha, out of compassion and compassion for sentient beings, taught everyone to know the law of peace.
A-The meaning and content of the tie
1-Body in harmony (the body is in harmony): It means living together under one roof, within a range, an organization, living in harmony, loving, caring, helping and sharing. , to fulfill the assigned job responsibilities.
When living and working in an organization, they must get along happily with each other, not using powerful or force to bully but harm each other.
In a family, if it is a brother, a husband or a wife, a child, they must know how to respect and return to peace, parents are responsible for educating their children to know the rules of rituals in order of all members respect and respect each other.
If you are Buddhists , study together in a temple, are friends, and are Buddhist disciples, you must be happy to get along with each other. credit and reputation of the temple.
If you are a compatriot, living together in the same country, you must use national solidarity first with the spirit of regardless of race or color. Vietnamese folk have a saying:
"Oh get elected trade secrets together,
Although other varieties but share a rig".
In short, having lived together in a situation, in a certain limit, we must know to live in harmony with each other to fulfill each person's responsibility.
Six rules of the six draw by the Buddha is to apply in the life of the Sangha.
2-Inordinate harmony (words in harmony without controversy): live without quarrels but have the right to contribute constructive ideas with the spirit of learning together, not speaking to each other the words that cause dissonance but need must say to each other cheerful, gentle, amiable and loving words.
There are relatives who are not in harmony with each other, they are not enough with each other, find ways to sarcastically speak ill of each other, create an ideological divide that easily leads to hatred and hate and harm to each other.
Choosing words also means speaking at the right time, at the right place, at the right place and not to say useless words that could hurt others. Following this principle means being careful in the use of words, to the extent possible always choosing gentle, mellow expressions rather than tense or insulting. And it is essential to avoid controversy rather than defeat.
Therefore, being in harmony with the body is not enough, but the Buddha teaches that it is necessary to be harmonious in communication and dealing with others. This means that we must speak softly and gently to each other, not to quarrel, to fight each other. If there is any question, it is necessary to discuss the right and wrong, then absolutely must use gentle and gentle words to interchange with each other.
3-The mind is harmonious (the mind is harmonious with fun): the mind is always happy and happy with each other, sympathizing with the thoughts of others, not born jealous, arrogant, critical and critical.
The ideology is the most important of all, it is the engine that motivates the mouth to speak and the body to act good or bad. If judging the public, then the first idea, but the conviction is also due to consciousness.
In the family, if a couple does not have the same opinion, they do not know each other, they easily create violence and eventually lead to divorce. In a group or a country, if not agreeing on a viewpoint, it will lead to division and create fierce opposition that seeks to destroy each other.
The Buddha clearly understood that, so he taught us that living together must have a happy mind in harmony and sympathy for thoughts that disagree.
Therefore, first of all, there must be mental harmony before it is possible to work together in harmony. When following this principle, everyone in a team must have unanimous consensus to do all the work together to achieve good results.
To get our mind in harmony, we must cultivate compassion and bliss. To be happy means to be happy, to ignore the mistakes of others that have accidentally or intentionally made you sad.
In short, when we live together and work together, we must happily live in harmony with each other so that we and others can be happy and happy right here and now.
4- Consciousness of fellow initiates (the precepts to practice together): Living together in an environment and community together, we must respect and practice the precepts that have been taught and comply with the general rules.
In Buddhism, from home person to laypeople, depending on the status of his religious rank, which more or less life precepts leaders. The layman receives the Five Precepts; monastic ordination takes 10 precepts if he is a novice, 250 precept if he is a bhikkhu, 348 if he is a nun, etc.
When people gather together, or join activities in a group to study, each person, depending on their abilities, takes a vow to keep the precepts to have a better chance of living.
Broadly speaking, in our lives, regardless of the organization, we must take discipline first. In the school, if students do not keep the common discipline, whoever wants to go in and out will go out, whoever wants to learn to play according to their preferences, the school will be disbanded first and foremost.
In Buddhist family activities, each person is willing to follow his or her own thoughts, if not following the instructor, that activity will sooner or later disintegrate.
In short, in an association, religion or life, if we do not keep the precepts, discipline, and rules together, we can never live together and get in harmony with each other. So we want to live in harmony with each other to practice, each person needs to respect and uphold the same precepts.
5-Reconciliation view (see how to explain to each other): share knowledge together, contribute ideas to build opinions, ways of thinking, how to do, all based on the basis and foundation. for the common good of everyone.
In coexistence and working together, each person knows what is good, must explain and guide many others to understand so that they both imitate and practice according to what is beneficial.
When we discover or invent something new, or have an opinion that benefits many people, if we do not guide others to it, we become greedy, selfish.
Buddhists cultivate in modern times with the three canon scriptures and the explanation of many people, if we do not have wisdom we will not be able to distinguish what is righteous, what is evil, what is a means of goodness, Where is the end.
In this case, if people understand right and know right without expressing their views and opinions to everyone right and wrong, it will lead to division and harm to each other.
6-Benefits are harmonious (mutual benefits): Living together under the same environment, we must equally divide materials, possessions and belongings in order of great and small, do not abuse powers to make their own.
While living together, if someone brings plants, clothes, blankets, medicine, etc., they must be divided equally, not for their own love, for the few people, but fairness as the highest priority. in order of big and small.
In society, the reason for inequality with each other leads to antagonism, class division, also because it is not known for mutual benefits. This is a very important condition to ensure the harmony of a collective, because when following this principle, everyone no longer distinguishes between individual interests and collective interests, seeing that All material values are shared, everyone must be equally divided regardless.
