DEPUTY BUDDHISM.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
In the Buddhist sutras the teachings of the Buddha are the remedies for the sickness of sentient beings. Beings have eight and four thousand defilements, the Buddha has eight and four thousand dharma s. Thus, each of the Buddha's teachings cures each and every disease of living beings. If sentient beings have diseases, know their own illnesses, and take the Buddha's teachings, they will heal. And those who are sick but do not know they give up, or know the disease but do not know the medicine also cannot use.
Thus, the Buddha's teaching is a cure for all sentient beings. However, the Buddha's teaching has been around for two thousand, five hundred and decades, but the illnesses of sentient beings are not gone, because sentient beings are too sick.
As we know when the Buddha became enlightened under the root of Bodhi, he looked to the five brothers Kieu Tran Nhu to transform. The first sermon Buddha said is the Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths are divided into two parts, one part shows suffering, the other teaches how to get rid of suffering.
As for suffering, Buddha showed how much suffering this body contains, so having a body means suffering. So who raises that suffering, from where? Buddha said that suffering had a cause. What is the reason called? Call it practice. Thus suffering is a truth, the cause of suffering is also a truth. So should say suffering, practice base.
Suffering did not come by accident, but there was a cause. So when you know the cause and then want to end suffering, you must destroy the cause of suffering. Destroying the cause of suffering will stop suffering. But in order to eliminate the cause of suffering, it is impossible to speak out, but must have a method. Just like the physician who knows the disease is active, the patient is suffering, it is necessary to trace the germs that cause the disease. Knowing the germs correctly must then kill them and kill germs to get rid of the disease. But saying just killing germs is not possible, there must be a specific remedy to kill all the germs.
Likewise, Buddha taught that all beings' suffering has a cause. If we look up and know the cause, we must destroy it, to destroy it must have a method. So Buddha said suffering is the result, practice is the cause. To kill the soles is to kill all human suffering. To eliminate all suffering, there must be a method, that method is the Noble Truth. There is a new method that uses that method to eliminate the cause of suffering. Therefore, the cessation of God is the result of liberation, and the cause of liberation is the base, ie the method of cessing suffering.
The Buddha taught sentient beings to be no different from what the healers were doing. So Buddhism is very practical, does not talk far away at all. Anyone who has a disease only needs to use the right medicine to cure it. Healing is all suffering, so it is said that Buddhism is the way to save sentient beings.
In the world, the physician cures the sick body. In Buddhism, Buddhism cures sickness. Between those two treatments, which one is more important? Treatment is more important. Because whether or not the physician knows the patient is having a heart attack or a lung pain. The physician has medicine, but the sick person is sad, and sad, can he be cured? Unable to, because the patient's mind is not secure, if not happy, it is difficult to heal. Therefore, illness is very important. It would be very interesting if the physician had two remedies, one for the body and the other for the illness. Such a treatment is perfect, but only a part is not good.
To cure the sick mind, Buddha taught the dhammas to eliminate the cause of illness. Sickness of sentient beings up to eighty, four thousand, Buddha's Dharma also has eighty-four thousand. But talking about the root cause of the disease, there are six basic dishes of defilement. Before we talk about treatment, we need to know all kinds of diseases. How the disease is, if we want to introduce drugs, we must know the consequences or the current situation of the disease.
Now re-test all of us in this life of suffering or joy? If you are happy, there is no disease, if you don't get sick, you need medicine. If there is a new disease, find the cause of the disease and how to treat it. In the Buddha's house, man is besieged by four, or eight things of suffering, nobody escapes. Suffering, old misery, sickness, suffering, from where? So we are indeed patients. There is also love separation suffering, unhappy assembly suffering, praying unhappy, miserable and miserable. That means that love leaves suffering, hatred but meets nostalgia, wishing not to suffer, this body perishes without suffering. Checking out the eight things of suffering, we all have enough. It's clear that we are already patients, then therapy.
If you want to treat a disease, you must find the cause. What is the cause of that suffering? Buddha talks a lot, but here I only tell six things: greed, anger, ignorance, pride, doubt, evil. Because there is this cause, there is the other result. For example, greed is basically greed for life. Who is not greedy for life and fear of death? But then we also have to die, so we suffer. Now, if we stop greed for life, we will not be afraid of death. Without fear of death, there is no suffering.
How many things suffer from craving. The Buddha divided into two things: one is greed for the five senses, the other is the five senses. Join the five education is: talent, identity, name, realism, fall Talent is money, beauty is beauty, fame is fame, food is food, sleep is rest; these five let me greed. From these craving cittas arise other kinds of suffering. So what drugs must we take to treat greedy bacteria?
Join the talent to take two drugs in harmony with treatment. The first drug is almsgiving, the second is impermanent. Buddha taught that all our possessions were taken by five families. What is the year of the house? 1. Flood water. 2. Stealing. 3. Filial child. 4. Fire on fire. 5. King or authority seeks rape.
As we witnessed the recent flood in the Central region, many years to save only one flood will wipe out nothing. So our property is not secured, so Buddha said it belongs to five families. If there is no flood, there may also be a fire. If you do not have a fire, you will be robbed, if you are not robbed, you will be spoiled for all your career. Without being taken away by their children, they meet with force outside the force outside.
Although we say that our money and possessions are not guaranteed to be long-lasting, what is our greed for? Thinking about impermanence we are less greedy. Less greed, less suffering. People often get sick, with money in hand they get one for two, two for four, and they want more. Here the Buddha teaches to let go, to give. Think we have how much we have to eat. That is less greed. If the rich person gives alms, knowing that possessions cannot be kept, without the mind to gather, they will cure the disease of greed. Obviously, there are drugs. Knowing the cause of greed, but praying so badly so suffering. If you want a lot of possessions but you can't always do it, you will suffer. Now, if we give alms, we don't need to keep it, then we won't have greed anymore. Without greed, there is no suffering.
For people who are greedy, Buddha taught to use impure medicine to treat. Because when we see greed, we see a beautiful person, naturally we think that person is this beautiful, that person is precious, that person is so precious ... On the contrary, if we contemplate the filthy body, everyone's body is also So, when I contemplate my body, then my body will be disgusting for others. But disgusting, all ham. That is the cure of greed.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.19/8/2020.
