Buddha teaches: Look at the water to see people.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
We all have ever stood in front of the vast sea. At that time, we find ourselves very small compared to the vast waves of water, the sea and the lake. Usually, each person has a different mindset, only one who learns Buddha, the other sea is also an object to contemplate. Seeing water, seeing people, especially seeing yourself.
BWish in the water as well as step into life. People who cannot swim are drowning. The swimmer should be cautious because trying to get up also sinks. These two types of people are very dangerous because the water is inherently gentle. Only the people who can stand on the waves can stay quiet. Who crosses the other shore is really safe, the most relaxed.
“At one time, Buddha was in Xa-guard, Ky-da forest, Lonely level garden. Then, World Religion told the monks: Now I will say seven examples of water. People are like that. Listen! Listen! Won't think about them.
The Bhikkhu-stilts replied: Yes, World Religion!
So Ton said: What are the seven examples of water like humans? For example, someone sank at the bottom of the water; Someone temporarily rose to the surface and then sank again; Someone came out of the water to look; someone stood out of the water; someone wants to cross the water; someone out of the water wants to go to the other shore; Someone was on the shore. That is, Bhikkhu-stilts, there are seven examples of water appearing in life.
How is the person who sinks the bottom of the water to get out? Here, there are people who practice akusala all over the body and cannot be cured after a lifetime. It is a person who sinks at the bottom of the water.
How are people out of the water and then sink again? Here, some people have superficial faith, although there is good law but not steadfast. His body, mouth, and mind do good, and then act unwholesome. After the body died in common, the person was born in hell. It was a person who came out of the water and sank again.
What is the person out of the water looking at? Here, there are people who have good faith, body, mouth, and mind to do good, but do not grow this dharma, keep standing. His body destroyed the same life in A-tu-la. It was the person out of the water looking.
How are people standing out of the water? Here, someone who has faith, diligently in the third part of the history, does not change anymore, will surely achieve the ultimate goal of Supreme. It was a man who stood out of the water.
What is the person who wants to cross the water? Here, there are people who believe in diligence, always embrace shame and shame, looking forward to the third part of the story of sex, anger, and ignorance. He returned to this life and ended the suffering. That is the person who wants to cross the country.
What is the person who wants to go to the other shore? Here, there is a faithful person who diligently, in the lower part of the history, into Ananda, immediately entered Nirvana, not returning to this life. That person wants to go to the other shore.
What is the person who came to the other shore? Here, or there are people who believe in diligence, embrace shame, get rid of all righteous, unscrupulous achievements. In the present, he happily self; birth and death has ended, Pham Hanh has been established, the job is done, no longer rebirth, as it is known; Nirvana's Abundant place that enters Nirvana. It was the man who had reached the other shore.
Hey Bhikkhu-stilts! These are seven examples of water and man, I tell the teachers. The place where the Blessed Buddhas deserve to practice for everyone, I have now done. Teachers should stay in a secluded place, like under a tree, remember to meditate and not be lazy. This is My teaching.
Then the monks finished listening to the Buddha's teaching, and happily obeyed ".
World Religion gave "seven examples of water and people". First, stepping into the water and sinking is the kind of person who has committed a lifetime of evil. Of course, hell retribution is always for these people. The second is the rank that tries to rise and sink again. We have once awakened, determined to rise, practice towards the direction of goodness. But then because of karma, because of circumstances, because of weakness, especially not enough faith to determine, then the horse gets used to the old way, suffering is still suffering. Third is the type of people floating in the water but just looking around. They have a good root, but do not intend to step out of the stream of samsara.
Only the last four classes, although still in the country, have seen the shore, determined to go ashore and have reached the other shore. These are the Buddha's children who have full faith in the Three Jewels, determined to end the ten fetters (Lower part: familiarity, doubt, forbidden precepts, education and aversion / upper part: friendship, immorality, romanticism, treachery and ignorance) to accomplish the Holy results Tu-da-complete, Tu-da-function, A-na-function and A-la-Han.
The most remarkable thing is, in order to attest to these Saints, the Blessed One fervently told "Remember to meditate, do not be lazy".END=NAM MO SHAKYAUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.12/8/2020.
