Basic teachings of Buddhism.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

Let's just look at what is happening in the world today. How many people in our world are strong enough to know what is the essence of Buddhist teaching? And among them, how many people have brought effective applications of that core?

I hope you will grasp what is " the core of Buddhist teaching ". In today's talk, if I ask the question: " So, what is the essence of Buddhist teaching? " I will definitely get a lot of conflicting answers, none of which are the same. any sentence. Each person responds according to what he or she has learned or heard, or because of his own inference.

Let's just look at what is happening in the world today. How many people in our world are strong enough to know what is the essence of Buddhist teaching? And how many of them have effectively applied that core? If you ask what is the heart of Buddhism, some people will say that it is the Four Noble Truths. ), others consider it aniccamdukkhamanatta (i.e., the Three Imprints or the Three Basic Principles of Buddhism is aniccam: impermanence, dukkha: suffering or non-cause, manatta: egolessness. Please note that many scriptures also suggest the fourth nibbanâ or nirvana) and others will read the following sentences:

Sabba pipassa akaranam
Kusalassupasampada
Sacitta pariyodapanam
Etam Buddhanasasanam

(meaning: "one should not do evil, one should only do good, purify one's mind, that is the essence of the Buddha's teaching")

All of the answers above are correct, but it is only partially true, because people only answer by heart but forget to verify by their own experience whether it is true or not.

To address the core of the Buddhist teaching, I would like to remind you of a very simple statement of the Buddha: " Do not cling to anything. In the Majjhima Nikaya Sutta, it is reported that one day a person came to pay homage to the Buddha and asked him to summarize his teaching in a very brief sentence, and if possible, that sentence. The Buddha replied that he could do it and said the above sentence: " Sabbe dhamma nalam abhinivesaya " means " Do not cling to anything " ("Sabbe dhamma" means is anything, "nalam" is not allowed, "abhinivesaya" clings to it.) The Buddha further emphasized the importance of this sentence by adding that if anyone hears these essential words it means is to hear all the teachings, and if anyone receives the result of that practice (without clinging to anything), it also means receiving all the fruits of his teaching.

If one has mastered the truth of those teachings perfectly - absolutely must not cling to anything at all - then one will also be free from the bacteria that cause the craving for diseases, hatred and ignorance penetrate, which are diseases that lead to wrong actions, whether on the body, verbally or in the mind. Therefore, whenever there is an appearance, a sound, an odor, a taste, an impact or a mental phenomenon detected, the antibody "must not cling to anything" will help stop the infection immediately.

Bacteria cannot penetrate, or they can be left alone to make them easier to kill. In any case, bacteria will not be able to multiply and cause disease, because antibodies in the body always seek to destroy them. Indeed, that antibody is unrivaled and permanent effect. And that is the core of the Buddhist teaching, of all Dhamma. Do not cling to anything!

Anyone who has done that fact can also claim to have created an antibody that helps to neutralize all the harmful effects of spiritual illness and make it cease. He will no longer have a disease that makes him suffer with it. But in the case of a simple person who does not grasp the core of what Buddha's teaching is, it is completely different: this person does not have any resistance at all.

By now, maybe you have mastered the meaning of what "spiritual illness" is and who the physician is a cure for. But only when I am aware that I am sick, then I will really think about running and using the appropriate medicine. If I am not aware that I am sick, I can still live and fight for what I like. It was like a person with tuberculosis or cancer who was worried about having fun and not caring about cure until a certain time it was too late, he would not be able to avoid death due to the disease. his cause.

Don't get caught up in stupid things like that! Always follow the instructions of the Buddha: " Do not be neglected. Always pay close attention"We know when we are very attentive, we realize that we are suffering from a spiritual illness and that we have discovered the" bacteria "that cause us ill. If the above mentioned correctly and persistently, you will definitely receive in this life the best things that people can .END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/8/2020.
