4 memorable meanings on the full moon day of July

4 OTHER MEANING ABOUT SATURDAY DAY

1. Happy Buddha's Day:

The full moon day of the seventh month is called the Buddha's joyful day, because in the seven disciples of the Buddha, the female-stilts are the closest disciples, the Buddha Dharma to spread the teaching of beings, taking the form of Buddha sets an example in the world; the three months of the monk's summer retreat ends on the full moon day of the seventh lunar month. Normally, when the monks are finished taking the precepts, they recite, but because of the buddhahood, that cultivation is not as diligent as three months of retreat.

According to the Buddha's law, during the three months of the retreat, the monks had to stay in place, minimize the amount of travel. One is because the Indian windfall at that time in summer was the rainy season, there were many insects that reproduce, but they increased alms and trampled on many insects, hurting compassion. object.

Secondly, they increase the alms of alms, so the robes, clothes, bowls are wet, disrespectful, the world is somewhat reproachful.

Third, the Buddha taught them monks during the three months of the rainy season. mind to diligently on the path of virtue. So, once the Buddha's disciple practiced for three perfect, tranquil months, ending his three months of retreat, the Buddha was very happy, so this closing day is called the Buddha's Day of Joy.

2. Day of the Sangha:

The Fourth Self is the day when they increase after three months of retreat, thinking: “Although I have tried to practice like that, but I am not sure to avoid all mistakes, so when the full three months (full moon of July), practice together in return, may those who have purer virtues than themselves just make mistakes. If I find myself making a mistake, I must reveal my penance ”. It is a very special thing on self-serving day.

Usually, every time a person makes a mistake is to try to avoid it, try to hide it lest others know it is embarrassing, or fear that if they know their mistake then we cannot do it again next time, so usually often concealed, not revealed; unless someone asks for it, it is very stuck when it comes to committing a crime or having stumbled on other errors; or if it is fake, it is also revealed silently in front of the throne of the Three Jewels, so it is seldom openly to ask others to fault us in the public.

But according to Buddhism, after three months of settling down, the Buddha taught billions of stilts to pray to others to show their own fault, that is, not to let others just but to ask others to freely give them. before them that said: "Venerable Venerable, today they are self-four, I am also self-four. I have something wrong that Venerable see, hear, or suspect, please show my mercy, if I see I do not complain, do not question, and I do not have any complaints, Virtue ".

That is the meaning that I wish to be pure, but without a little concealment, sincerely asking others to freely apologize for me, without any hesitation, if I feel guilty, just give it. It is a very noble, open-minded attitude to cleanse yourself from guilt. Therefore, that day is called the fourth day of the Sangha. Self-giving means asking others to point out their own mistakes, letting us know and repent.

3. Days to Increase Longevity:

Longevity means getting old. According to the world, if parents give birth to a full year (twelve months), it is called a full year old.

But according to the Buddhist law, the Buddha's ordination ordination row does not include the age according to the above worldly years and months, but the age according to the lower plane. This means that every year with a full settlement, it will be counted as one year old.

Example: Whoever settles down from 15.4 to 15.7 in the lunar calendar is full summer, so it is counted as a low year, or a low age. Those who have been ordained but have not settled down do not count the age of low, and those who keep settling down continuously will be counted for many lower age. As we often hear in the temples when reading the biography of a monk who passed away, often mentioning age and lowness.

For example, he is 80 years old and 60 years old, that means he has the age of his parents born 80 years, and the age of religion is 60 years old. Lower saus is counted on the full moon day after practicing for three full summer months.

4. Date of pardon for the dead person:

Yulan is a day of supreme prayers for the Buddha's deceased predecessor. Vu-lan accrual originates from the filial piety of false religion Section-Kien-inter. This area is recorded in the  Vu-lan-tub . The  Vu-lan  word transcribed from Sanskrit (Sanskrit) is Ullambana. The Chinese translated as  Vu-lan-tub and that means the reverse of hypocrisy, the solution of the suspended sin. The above sentence says that those who commit crimes will fall into the hell realm, hungry ghosts, animals, suffer extreme suffering like those who are hung up. Thinking of the merit of parents, when the Yulanpen day comes, Buddhists often bring their sincerity and willingness to make offerings to the Three Jewels to pray with the monks after three months of settling down to pray for their ancestors, His prognosis from being in extreme suffering is like confession hanging upside down.

Thus, the Yulanpen Day is the day when we Buddhists repay their gratitude by going to the temple to request the monks after three months of peaceful retreat, praying for their victims to be depressed in a dark like realm. Hell, pretas and animals are freed from suffering, and at the same time pray for all the ancestors of others to be free from extreme suffering as well as the venerable Mu-kien-Lien did when he saved his mother.

Thus, here we honor our parents by being grateful to our parents as deep as immortality, as mentioned by our ancestors:

"Father Diep is like a mountain that reaches the sky,
Mother's meaning is like water in the East Sea.
The sea is immense, the
island is nine words to write my heart "

Our ancestors speak earnestly; "Cu Lao has nine words to write my heart," with nine words, we are filial. But it is not enough to report filial piety in the form of parents, but also to report filial filial filial piety.

In the sutras, the Buddha teaches that: Parents have not dwelled in the Dharma, how can they help and lead them to dwell in the Dharma; if parents have not yet resided in the Gospel, how can the parents dwell in the Good thing; Parents have not taken refuge in Tam Bao, so they should take their parents to take refuge in Tam Bao.

Thus, parents not only enjoy the external material bliss but also enjoy the bliss of their hearts, liberate their troubles, get rid of the attachments of the world, and dream of samsara. remind. When parents are liberated and happy, the son's filial piety will be fulfilled. So ancient virtue has a saying: "Father is honored to be bare, filial piety is successful". (Parents are liberated, if they leave the world, their children will be pious.)

As a Buddhist, please keep in mind the Buddha's teachings in order to daily meditate, daily dedicate merit to your ancestors; Especially during the Yulan festival, sincerely respectfully recite the Buddha's name, recite the sutras, prostrate to the Buddha, make offerings to the Three Jewels, make offerings to the monks and nuns, to pray the monks' prayers for their elves to escape. from u map that super born stray. That is temporarily called filial piety, who is a devout Buddhist in the filial season. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.18/8/2020.
