Hey khưu, do not think bhikkhus that a bhikkhu should be given a suspended sentence in all cases (argue that): " For us it is clear! For us, that is clear! "The Bhikkhu khưu, where the Bhikkhu khưu guilty, he has the view of that crime is innocent and other Bhikkhu khưu have views on that crime is guilty. The Bhikkhu khưu, if the Bhikkhu khưu he thought about the Bhikkhu khưu he like this: "This great virtue is the one that hears a lot, ... (as above) ..., who prefers learning. If we will impose a suspended sentence on not acknowledging this bhikkhu, we will not practice Uposatha with this bhikkhu, we will practice this Uposatha without this bhikkhu ; From that cause, the assembly will have conflict, quarrel, reasoning, debate, division of assemblies, disagreement in assemblies, debate in assemblies, differences in assemblies them . ” The Bhikkhu khưu, the Bhikkhu khưu are concerned about the split should not be suspended in the project not to admit guilty to the Bhikkhu khưu.

(as above) ..., who love learning, it is impossible for the sake of self or because the cause is another taste (which they he) is dominated by pleasure, by anger, by delusion, by fear. If the Bhikkhu khưu had the sentence suspended in not admitting the crime to me, you will not practice Uposatha with me, you will practice Uposatha without me; From that cause, the assembly will have conflict, quarrel, reasoning, debate, division of assemblies, disagreement in assemblies, debate in assemblies, differences in assemblies them . ” The Bhikkhu khưu, Bhikkhu khưu have interest on the split should repent of that crime because of the beliefs of the other.

Bhikkhu khưu, there are two platforms of not co-resident: Self-realization of not co-community for yourself or the assemblies uniting the suspended sentence in not recognizing (crime), or in the not corrected (error), or in not giving up (evil evil). Bhikkhu khưu, these are the two foundations of not co-stay.

Bhikkhu khưu, there are two foundations of co-residence: By doing the community for yourself or assembling the union for the one who has been suspended in not recognizing (crime), or in not correcting (errors), or in not giving up (wrong ants). Bhikkhu khưu, these are the two foundations of community living.

... (as above). After reprimanding him, he preached the Dharma talk and told the bhikkhus:

-The Bhikkhu khưu, when assemblies are divided, while misconduct led to disharmony should sit down to sit (think): " At least we will not embody career career or not fit together, we won't fight . " The Bhikkhu khưu, when assemblies are divided, while behaving properly in France leads to harmony, should sit down next to each other.

" The Bhikkhu khưu, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī stepped into the car and Prince Dīghāvu controlled the car and drove the car somehow so that the army went in another direction and the car in the other direction.

The Bhikkhu khưu, then when went away, the Brahmadatta of Kāsī told Prince Dīghāvu this: " Hey young man, stop the car. I am tired and will lie down. "My Lord, please ." Bhikkhus, the prince D rồighāvu listened to the king Brahmadatta of Kās dừng stopped the car and sat down with the lotus position on the ground. The Bhikkhu khưu, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī has listed his head on the crown of Prince Dīghāvu and lay down. While tired, just for a moment the king fell asleep. The Bhikkhu khưu, then Prince Dīghāvu has initiated this: "This King Brahmadatta of Kās là is someone who has done many things for us. Our troops, our vehicles, our lands, our warehouses, and granaries have been usurped by this person. My mother and father were killed by this man. This may be the time for us to settle the grudges ”  and then drew the sword out of the scabbard. The Bhikkhu khưu, Prince Dīghāvu then initiated this: " At the time of death, father told me,  'Hey Dīghāvu, please look not far, not near. Hey Dīghāvu injured, because the hatred is not calmed by hatred. Hey Dīghāvu, because it is not hatred that the hatred is calm. '  It is not appropriate for me to do so that I can disobey his father's teachings"So sheathed the sword. The Bhikkhu khưu, to the second ... (as above) ... The Bhikkhu khưu, to the third time Prince Dīghāvu has initiated this: " King Brahmadatta of Kāsī this is the person who has done a lot of work unprofitable for us. Our troops, our vehicles, our lands, our warehouses, and granaries have been usurped by this person. My mother and father were killed by this man. This may be the time for us to settle the grudges ”  and then drew the sword out of the scabbard. Bhikkhus, the third time Prince Dīghāvu has initiated this: “ At the time of my death, my father told me,  'Hey Dīghāvu, look at the distance, not near. Hey Dīghāvu injured, because the hatred is not calmed by hatred. Hey Dīghāvu, because it is not hatred that the hatred is calm. ' It is not appropriate for me to do so against my father's teaching, ”so he put the sword back into the sheath.

The Bhikkhu khưu, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī became frightened, horrified, panicked, confused, immediately jumped up. The Bhikkhu khưu, then Prince Dīghāvu said to King Brahmadatta of Kāsâu this: " Your Majesty, why did His Majesty become frightened, horrified, panicked, alert, and immediately stood up. ? ” Young man, here the son of King Dīghīti of Kosala, Prince Dīghāvu, attacked me with a sword in my dream sleep, so I became frightened, horrified, panicked, and immediately got up. "Bhikkhus, then Prince Dīghāvu used his left hand to touch the head of King Brahmadatta of Kāsī and used his right hand to draw his sword and said to King Brahmadatta of Kāsī this:"My Lord, the main god is Prince Dīghāvu the son of King Dīghīti of Kosala. Your Majesty is the one who did many things for us. Our troops, vehicles, country, warehouses, and granaries were taken away by His Majesty. My mother and father were killed by His Majesty. This might be the time for me to settle the grudges. ”  Bhikkhus, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī knelt down on his head at the feet of Prince Dīghāvu and told Prince Dīghāvu this: “ Hey Dīghāvu, give me your life. Hey Dīghāvu, please bestow your life . " How can I give Your Majesty the life, Your Majesty can give the God for life ?" "Dīghāvu, dear, then please give me life, and I will give you life. Bhikkhus, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī and Prince Dīghāvu gave each other their lives, took hold of their hands, and swore not to betray each other.

Bhikkhus, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī said to Prince Dīghāvu this: " Hey Dīghāvu, then, if you win (horse) in the car, we will go back."  " My Majesty, please ." This Bhikkhu, then prince Dighavu listen to King Brahmadatta Kasiraja won (horse) into the car and told the king Brahmadatta Kasiraja this: " Sire, the car has been won (horse) in, please Your Majesty think now is the time for something . " The Bhikkhu khưu, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī stepped into the car and Prince Dīghāvu drove the car and drove the car in some way so that he could meet the army soon.

Bhikkhus, then the Brahmadatta of Kāsī went to Bārāṇasī, summoned the counselors, and said, " Hey, if you can see the prince, Dīghāvu the son of King Dīghīti of Kosala, what should you do for him ? ” Some high officials said, " Your Majesty, we should cut off our hands. Your Majesty, we should cut off our legs. Your Majesty, we should chop both hands and feet. Your Majesty, we should cut off our ears. Your Majesty, we should cut our nostrils. Your Majesty, we should cut off our ears and nostrils. Your Majesty, we should behead . " "Hey khanh, this is Prince Dīghāvu the son of King Dīghīti of Kosala. Do not do anything to this person. This person has given me his life and I have given my life to this man . ”

Bhikkhus, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī told Prince Dīghāvu this: " Dear Dīghāvu, what the father at the time of death said: 'Hey Dīghāvu, look away. Don't be near. Hey Dīghāvu injured, because the hatred is not calmed by hatred. Hey Dīghāvu, because it is not hatred, but the hatred is calmed, 'what did  your father refer to ?' Your Majesty, what my father is at the time of death said: 'Don't be far away,' (meaning to say) 'Don't cause long-term hatred.' Your Majesty, (referring to) this, the father of the god at the time of death said, 'Don't be far away.' Your Majesty, what my father at the time of death said, 'Don't be near,' (meaning to say) 'Don't be quick to break up with your friends.' Your Majesty, (referring to) this, the father of the god at the time of death said, 'Don't be near.' Your Majesty, what the father of god at the time of death said: 'Hey Dīghāvu, because hatred is not calmed by hatred. Dīghāvu, because it is not hatred that enmity is softened, '(meaning)' Mother and father of god were killed by His Majesty, 'so if God could take his life then, those who long for the benefit of His Majesty can deprive me of my life, then those who long for the benefit of the god can take their lives; thus hatred cannot be resolved by hatred. Now, His Majesty has given His life to God and God has also given His life; thus hatred has been resolved by non-hatred. Your Majesty, (referring to) this, the father of the god at the time of death said: Hey Dīghāvu love, because the hatred is not calmed by hatred. Hey Dīghāvu, because it is not hatred, the hatred is calm . '”

The Bhikkhu khưu, then King Brahmadatta of Kāsī has initiated this: " How wonderful! It is incredible! This Prince Dīghāvu was wise because he understood the detailed meaning of what was said briefly by the father ”and returned the army, the vehicle, the country, the warehouse, and the granary of father, and even give his (his) daughter. Bhikkhus, righteous ones are the kings who took hold of the stick, took the sword, but also had such patience and tolerance. O bhikkhus, here you should make clear that you are ordained in the Dharma and the Law is cleverly preached like this, you should express patience and tolerance.

[245] By the third time, the Buddha said to the Bhikkhu khưu this:

Hey khưu, that's enough. There should be (cause) conflict, argument, argument, argument.

By the third time, the Bhikkhu khưu was the French said he told the Blessed one:

- Bach himself, ask that the Blessed One is the Dharma Master, wait. Bach himself, ask the Blessed One to be less worried, stay connected with staying in peace in the present life; we will make it clear by conflict, by argument, by reasoning, and by this argument.

At that time, the Blessed One (thinking): " These foolish people have reached the level of maneuver, these guys are not easy to remind " and then got up from their seats and left.

Chanting " Dīghāvu " is the first part.

[246] at that time, the Buddha was dressed in the morning, took the medicine bowl, and went to Kosamb đi to beg for alms. After going alms round in the city of Kosambī, on the way to beg for alms food after the meal, the Blessed One arranged a place to live, held a bowl of medicine, and stood in the middle of the congregation of bhikkhus saying these words:

[247]

They boisterous noisy
people who think they are stupid,
though broken assemblies
they think no one more.
The words of the wise man who
speak openly in the world do not
want to open their mouth wide open
.
Those who persist:
"You swear at me, beat me,
beat me, rob me!"
he hated not melted.
Those who are not obstinate:
"You swore at me, beat me,
beat me, robbed me!"
he hated dissipated.
Hatred never
dissipates due to hatred,
but because no hatred of the
Dharma has existed since ancient times.
Others do not know
where we control ourselves,
there is a clear
argument that everyone will naturally dissolve.
The bones were dissolved, the network was gone,
robbed the horses, the cows and the properties,
while invading the land
they still knew the union;
Why aren't you guys?
If the person has
an intellectual friend , who goes with him,
is intelligent, and lives wisely, he
passes through all hardships,
so he or she will live
happily, stay and be recited.
If you do not have
intellectual friends, go with you,
be smart, live wisely,
like a king who leaves the kingdom,
like an elephant and a jungle of
elephants walking alone.
It is better to go alone
without a fool to make
him or her alone and to
not do, not to worry,
like an elephant and a jungle of
elephants walking alone.

[248] at that time, the Buddha stood in the middle of the assemblies Bhikkhu khưu had these shelves and went to the village of Bālakaloṇakāraka. At the time, Venerable Bhagu was staying at the village of Bālakaloṇakāraka. Venerable Bhagu saw the Blessed One from a distance away, after seeing that he had set up his seats, brought foot washing water, footrests, foot rubs, and went out to pick him up. The Blessed One sat down on his assigned seat, and after he sat down, he washed his feet. Venerable Bhagu paid homage to the Blessed One and sat down at one side. The Blessed One told Venerable Bhagu who was sitting to one side of this:

-Buy khưu, health is not it? Is everything all right? Is going to beg for alms from hardship?

- Bach The Ton, good health. White World Religion, everything is fine. And white Sir, the alms round does not have to be hard.

After that, the Buddha taught, awakened, encouraged, and created great joy for Venerable Bhagu by Dharma discourse, then got up from his seat and went to the Pācīnavaṃsa garden.

At the time, Venerable Anuruddha, Venerable Nandiya, and Venerable Kimbila resided in the Pācīnavaṃsa garden. The keeper of the garden saw the Blessed One from a distance away, after seeing the Blessed One saying this:

Hey Mon, don't go into this garden. Here, there are three honorable and respectful family sons. Do not disturb them.

Venerable Anuruddha overheard the gardener's garden telling the Blessed One, after hearing this to the gardener:

-Driving this garden, don't prevent Germany. Our Guru, the Buddha, has arrived.

After that, Venerable Anuruddha went to see Venerable Nandiya and Venerable Kimbila, after coming told Venerable Nandiya and Venerable Kimbila this:

- Virtues, get out. Virtues, please come out. Our Guru, the Buddha, has arrived.

At that time, Venerable Anuruddha, Venerable Nandiya, and Venerable Kimbila went out to welcome the Blessed One, who received the Blessed One's bowl, one who had arranged his seat, one brought water to wash. legs, footrests, and foot rubs. The Blessed One sat down on his assigned seat, and after he sat down, he washed his feet. The great virtue was paying homage to the Blessed One and then sat down at one side. The Blessed One told the Venerable Anuruddha, who was sitting on one side of this:

Hey Anuruddha, how are you? Is everything going well? Is going to beg for alms from hardship?

- Bach The Ton, good health. White World Religion, everything is fine. And white Sir, the alms round does not have to be hard.

Hey Anuruddha, do you live in unity, friendliness, not arguing, have a state like milk and water, do you look at each other with affectionate eyes?

- White World Religion, certainly that! We live here in unity, friendliness, non-argument, being in a milk-like state with water, and looking at each other with affectionate eyes.

Hey Anuruddha, how do you live in unity, friendliness, not arguing, being in a milky state with water, and looking at each other with affectionate eyes?

- White Sir, here I start this idea: " It is beneficial to me! It is true that I have cleverly achieved it when I lived with accomplices like this ! ” Sir, to these virtues my friendliness through kamma has been initiated publicly or privately, friendliness through karma, karmic friendliness has been initiated publicly or discreetly. , and the white son here has suggested, " Or should I let go of my mind and act upon the minds of these great virtues ?" Bach, then I have let go of my mind and act upon the minds of these great virtues. Sir, we have different bodies, but I think there is only one mind.

Then Venerable Nandiya and Venerable Kimbila also told Venerable this:

- White Sir, here I start this idea: " It is beneficial to me! It is true that I have cleverly achieved it when I lived with accomplices like this ! ” Sir, to these virtues my friendliness through kamma has been initiated publicly or privately, friendliness through karma, karmic friendliness has been initiated publicly or discreetly. , and the white son here has suggested: " Or should I let go of my mind and act upon the minds of these great virtues?"? ” Bach, then I have let go of my mind and act upon the minds of these great virtues. Sir, we have different bodies, but I think there is only one mind. Sir, we live in unity, friendliness, non-argument, being in a milk-like state with water, and looking at each other with affectionate eyes like that.

Hey Anuruddha, do you live with little distraction, your diligence and effort?

- Sir, that's for sure! We live here with little distraction, with effort and effort of ourselves.

Hey Anuruddha, how do you live less distracted, have the effort and effort of yourself is like?

- Sir, here which of us begs to beg for alms from the village, he first arranges the seats, prepares water for foot washing, footrests, foot rubs, rinses for leftovers and then brings them back, Bring drinking water and washing water. Any position to beg for alms from the village back to the end, if the food is leftover, if you want, you can eat; If you do not want to, then throw away in places without green grass or poured into the water without creatures. He arranged his seat, cleaned the foot water, the footrest, the foot rub, washed the leftovers and then stored it, cleaned the drinking water, the washing water, and swept the cafeteria. Any position that sees lu drinking water, or lu wash water, or lu toilets run out of water, empty, he poured water into. If he is unable to do so, after signaling by hand to invite the second one, we ask (the other) to assist with the action by hand and white sir, but not for that reason we spoke out. Sir, every five days we sit down to discuss the Dharma all night. Bach himself, we live less distracted, there is effort and effort of ourselves is like that.

After that, the Blessed One taught, awakened, encouraged, and created the joy of Venerable Anuruddha, Venerable Nandiya, and Venerable Kimbila by Dharma discourse, then got up from his seat and traveled. towards Pārileyyaka. While traveling sequentially, he came to Pārileyyaka. At that place, in Pārileyyaka the Blessed One lived in a protected forest, under a  beautiful Sāla tree  .

[249] At that time, the Blessed One, while meditating in solitude, had this thoughtful thought arising: " Previously, I had lived uncomfortably disturbed by the bhikkhus in Kosambī." who often cause conflicts, quarrels, arguments, nonsense, and litigation in assemblies. Now, here we live peacefully, alone, without a second person, free from the Bhikkhu khưu in Kosamb Kos are those who often cause conflicts, quarrels, arguments, bullshit, and litigate in the assembly . "

There are living dragons that are disturbed by elephants, by female elephants, by young elephants, by little elephants, and also have to chew on broken grass. They chew on branches that have been broken off by it. And he drank muddy things. When it crossed the shallow river, the female elephants ran back and rubbed themselves. At that time, the dragon statue suggested this: “ I live disturbed by elephants, by female elephants, by young elephants, by little elephants, and I have to chew on grass. broken tops. They chew on the branches that have been broken off. And I drank muddled water. When we cross the shallow river, the female elephants run again and rub against their bodies. Or should we live alone, apart from the crowd? ” After that, the dragon statue separated from the herd to go to Pārileyyaka, where the forest is protected, where the  beautiful tree of  Sāla , met the Blessed One, after arriving, he used the hose to serve the Blessed One with drinking water and washing water. , and clear the plants. At that time, the dragon statue suggested this: “ Previously I was disturbed by elephants, by female elephants, by young elephants, by little elephants, and chewed things. the grass has been cut off. They have chewed on branches that have been broken off. And I drank muddled water. When we crossed the shallow river, the female elephants ran back and rubbed themselves. Now, here I live peacefully, alone, alone, free of the elephants, the females, the little elephants, and the little elephants.  At that time, the Buddha realized after his separation that he used the mind to know the thought of the dragon statue, and then at that time, he exclaimed the inspiration that:

The elephant lord has a big tusk
with the human lord, the
mind with the mind uniting
the depths of the forest alone.

[250] Later, when he was in Pārileyyaka as you like, the Blessed One went on a journey to Sāvatthi. While traveling sequentially, he came to Sāvatthi. At that place in Sāvatthi, the Blessed One dwells at Jetavana, the monastery of Anāthapiṇḍika.

[251] At that time, the laity in Kosambī have initiated this: " The Bhikkhu khưu in Kosambī are those who have done many things not for us. The Blessed One was disturbed by them, so he left, so we should not pay homage to the Bhikkhu khưu in Kosamb không, should not stand up to salute, should not perform the right clap and act appropriately, no should respect, should not be respectful, should not worship, should not make offerings, should not alms food for alms to go; in this way they are not respected, not be respectful, not worshiped, not offered by us, and when they are no longer respected you will either leave, or will complete, or will have faith in the Blessed One. " After that, the laity in Kosambī did not pay homage, did not stand up to salute, did not perform the appropriate hand-clasping and acting, were not respectful, not respectful, did not worship, did not make offerings, did not give alms. alms food for you to go to. At that time, the Bhikkhu khưu in Kosambī while not being respected, not be respectful, not worshiped, not offered by the laity in Kosambī, and when no longer respected anymore said like this:

" Bach himself, what should be practiced now?

-The Bhikkhu khưu, that is guilty, that is not innocent. The Bhikkhu khưu he was guilty (crime), the Bhikkhu khưu he is not not committed (crime). The Bhikkhu khưu he suspended sentence, the Bhikkhu khưu he is not not suspended sentence. The Bhikkhu khưu was suspended by the right French practice, can not be modified, deserves to be maintained. The Bhikkhu khưu, because the Bhikkhu khưu he had committed (crime), was suspended, and recognized. The Bhikkhu khưu, precisely because of that let's recover for the Bhikkhu khưu.

All of them, both sick and unwell, should gather in one place, and no one should be allowed to give any words of discretion. After gathering, assemblies should be informed by experienced, qualified bhikkhus:

"Gentlemen, please listen to the congregation. In events where assemblies have conflicts, quarrels, arguments, debates, assemblies, disagreements in assemblies, quarrels in assemblies, differences in assemblies, this bhikkhu has committed (crimes), has been suspended, has acknowledged, and has been restored. If the time is right for the congregation, the congregation should conduct a congregation unification to resolve that event. These are suggestions.

Hey Upāli, in events where assemblies have conflicts, quarrels, arguments, arguments, split assemblies, disagreements in assemblies, arguments in assemblies, differences in assemblies, assemblies do not investigate the event and determine the wrong cause and then proceed to the union; This Upāli, the unity of his assembly is wrong Dharma.

Hey Upāli, in events where assemblies have conflicts, quarrels, arguments, arguments, split assemblies, disagreements in assemblies, arguments in assemblies, differences in assemblies, assemblies investigate the event and determine the right cause and then proceed to the union; Upāli, this assembly is true Dharma.

- Bach himself, how many types of assemblies are there?

Hey Upāli, the unity of the assemblies has two types. Upāli, there is a unity of assemblies that do not achieve the goal (atthāpetā), which only achieves the word (byañjanupetā) and there are types that can achieve the goal and the words. [2] Hey Upāli, how does the assembly of assemblies fail to achieve the purpose of achieving words only? Upāli, in the event that the assemblies have conflicts, quarrels, reasoning, debate, split assemblies, disagreements in assemblies, quarrels in assemblies, differences in assemblies, assemblies do not investigate the event and determine the wrong cause and proceed to the union; Upāli, this is called the unification of the assemblies do not achieve the purpose of achieving words only. Upāli, how does unity of the assembly both achieve the purpose and the words? Upāli, in the event that the assemblies have conflict, quarrel, reasoning, debate, division of assemblies, disagreement in assemblies, argument in assemblies, differences in assemblies, assemblies investigate the event and determine the right cause and proceed to the unity; Upāli, this is called the unity of the assemblies both achieving the purpose and the words. Hey Upāli, these are the two unity assemblies.

After that, Venerable Upāli got up from his seat, covered his upper shoulder with one shoulder, bowed to the Buddha, and presented these words to the Blessed One:
