(VASSŪPANĀYIKAKKHANDHAKAṂ) .3.

- Why do sa-keeper Satan travel in the cold season, during the hot season, and even in the rainy season? You are trampling on green grass, harming the life of a single sensory species, and causing the mass killing of many small beings. Even these heathen monks whose doctrine of bad doctrine still clung and lived permanently in the rainy season, even these birds after nesting on treetops clung and lived permanently in rainy residence season; And these sa-subjects like suicide travel in the cold season, during the hot season, and even in the rainy season. You are trampling on green grass, harming the life of a single sensory species, and causing the mass killing of many small beings.

The Bhikkhu khưu have heard those people complain, criticize, decry. After that, the Bhikkhu khưu had that incident up to Germany World Religion. At that time, the Buddha said that due to that fact, he gave the Dharma talk and told the bhikkhus:

-The khưu, we allow into the Bhikkhu (settle) the rain (vassaṃ).

Hey khưu, we allow into the Bhikkhu (settle) the rain during the rainy season.

Then the Bhikkhu khưu initiated this: " How many times in the season (settle) the rain ?" They have reported it to the Blessed One.

Hey khưu, here are two seasons Bhikkhu (settle) rain: the time before and the time after. The time before should be on the next day of the (full moon) month  thángsāḷha , the next time it should be on when ( trăngsāḷha (full moon day) month   has passed a month. [1]  Hey Bhikkhus, these are two times in the season (settle) the rain.

[209] At the time, King Seniya Bimbisāra of Magadha intended to reschedule the rains so he sent a messenger to the bhikkhus saying:

- If the great virtues wait until next month and then into the season (settle) the rain?

They have reported it to the Blessed One.

-The Bhikkhu khưu, I allow to follow the king.

[210] Later, when dwell in the city of Rājagaha according to the Blessed One went to Sāvatthi (Xa Ve). While traveling sequentially, he came to Sāvatthi. At that place in Sāvatthi, the Blessed One dwelt in Jetavana (Ky Vien), the monastery of Anāthapiṇḍika (Solitary Level).

- Please, great virtue, please go to. I want to make offerings, want to listen to the Dharma, and want to see bhikkhus.

The Bhikkhu khưu said like this:
