I. THE OLD TABLE OLD MAN (Suddhi Panthaka)

Two brothers he Ban Da Old (also known as Ban Thac Ca) are two twins and follow the Buddha once. How smart (Ma Ha) is, how much cleverness is, on the contrary, his younger brother (Chu Lan) is so dumb. Knowing Chu Lan's slow-moving talent, Buddha was wholeheartedly loved and respected more than his brother, because Zhou was a righteous and upright person. One day, when Buddha came to preach to come to the gate of Ky Vien Vihara, he saw a crowd of people surrounded a monk on the side of the road, only laughing and laughing, while the other sat, crying and screaming. . It was Zhou Wei who was just chased away by him, not allowed to live with them anymore. Buddha helped him back to the monastery, asking:
- Why are you sitting here crying?
- White Buddha, his disciple knows that he is a fool, so although he became a monk once with his parents, he was further helped by his parents, but until now a short poem is also unbelievable. Dear brothers and sisters said that the disciple no longer hopes to practice, today excess at Buddha's absence, chasing the disciple. Being expelled from the sangha, the disciples had no other option than to sit and cry, wait for Buddha to rescue them.
Buddha lovingly comforted Zhou: "You should not care about that. You used to follow me on that path of traveling here. Through experience, you also see that anyone who knows that he is stupid is the wise. usually only people who are really stupid think that they are intelligent. Now he knows that he is stupid and not stupid.
After comforting and consoling, Buddha entrusted Zhou Wei to Ananda to teach him and specifically instructed Ananda to be patient and skillful in finding suitable measures so that Zhou Wei could memorize a poem. Shortly thereafter, Ananda got bored, handing him over to Buddha, because there was no way he could memorize a sentence, let alone the whole article.
Since then, the Buddha personally took over the teaching of Zhou County. He taught him to learn the verse: "Dust except dirt" (Phất bare except structure). From month to month, only that one sentence of four words, he read first and then forget, learn forever not remember. The general public said that Buddha wasted no effort, Zhou Yu could not cultivate. Particularly Buddha was not discouraged, calling Zhou Wei to tell him privately: "From now on, I will give you the job of sweeping the yard, sweeping the house, cleaning all the things in the monastery, do not let the dust cling, whenever you wipe, sweep the dust simultaneously. recite the verse ".
Seeing him reading his mouth all day, everyone took it to himself, flocking to surround him and make fun of it. Buddha rebuked the masses, forbidding anyone to disturb him obstructing Buddha's method of teaching. From there, whenever listening to him read: "Dust free dirt," the mass supports reading. After a period of six years, he only remembered all four sentences without stumbling. Continuing like that for a long time, he entered his mind, when eating while sleeping, those four words always appeared on the tip of the tongue. Then one day suddenly broke, he understood the meaning of verse and he thought:
- Dust is not only on the outside, it is also inside. The outside dust is clearly visible on coal, earth, stone and gravel; It's a kind of dust that's easy to eradicate. Internal dust is hard to see and also more. That is the defilement of attachment. This dangerous dust, non-great people, no one can eradicate it.
Having thought so, his mind gradually became calm. Although the purification of the past karma has not been purified, the current karmic cause has appeared equally ahead. He thought that the craving of the people, it was really the dust that the wise man had to eliminate. Without eradicating craving, one cannot transcend samsaric existence. It is disgraceful to those who carry the renunciation, because craving is the cause of the birth of the woe of suffering, binding people, making life lose complete freedom. There is no more craving for a new, pure and free heart, liberation, and the mind that sees the truth.
Thanks to his own self-enlightened thoughts, Chu Lan Ban Da Gia gradually eradicates three poisons taking part in anger and delusion, entering the world of equality, not committing love and hatred, not committing compliments, escaping outside the martial arts. I am imprisoned. His mind immediately enlightened.
Gentle lightheadedness, he calmly came before the Buddha, prostrating to the
White Buddha - White Buddha! The disciple has finished "sweeping away the dirt".
Buddha happily praised Zhou and then returned to the masses saying
, Hey! Chanting to read thousands of sutras without realizing the meaning of the sutras, not like practicing the right sutta, not just by maintaining a short verse, then relying on it to practice miraculously, the decision must be attained religion. The example of Zhou Yu Ban Da Old is a proof.
Chu Lan, after witnessing the result, is one of the most holy names of the Buddha, highly respected by the whole Sangha. However, his life has not changed. Every day, he continued elaborately in the afternoon sweeping the yard, sweeping the house and cleaning items in the monastery, while his mouth was still chanting the verse "Dust off dirt".

II.- TEACHING DISADVANTAGES (Nidà)

One day, Buddha and Ananda were taking action on the outskirts of Xa Ve when suddenly a person carrying two barrels of manure was incubating from the opposite direction. Far away to see the Buddha, he panicked to stop trying to find a way to avoid. He meant that he was the same as the lecherous Thu da la, who added an unclean job. Buddha had heard a lot about this bearer, so when he caught a glimpse of him, he wanted to save, and told A Nan to go ahead silently, but he himself turned to another way, then suddenly appeared in front of him. ta.
The person carrying the dung was horrified, dropped the burden quickly to the ground, bowed and bowed to the side of the road, trembling and begging:
- Buddha.
- Ni De! Stand up.
Buddha called his name, making the burden - Ni Ni - surprised, did not understand why Buddha knew his name.
- Ni De! Buddha continued. Do you want to follow me as a renunciate?
- Buddha! My name is indeed Ni De, but how does Buddha know? And how can he become a monk? His sangha consisted of Prince Satan and Brahman, how could it be that the lower class of the Thu-la-la lineage was as filthy as his son?
- Human beings are born equal. Buddha taught. There is no family line. There is no convenient career. Only miserable people because the mind is poisoned greed and hatred!
After saying that, the Buddha took Ni De by himself to the Ganges River to wash and clean and take Ky Vien Vihara to renunciate as a monk. Ni De after renunciation, a diligent diligence, need diligent practice, except for all the guise of the burden, the heart becomes absolutely pure, should be less than a week, immediately witness the results of Arhat and be Kabbalah.
The King of Persia, after hearing the news of a monk carrying out his ordination as a Buddhist disciple, was horrified to think that it was disgrace to the monk and made it difficult for the homage of the kings. The king immediately went to the Vihara to disturb Buddha. Upon arrival, he saw a new monk, majestic virtue, meditating on a stone near the door and showing miraculous miracles. After the Buddha finished, the king turned to the new novice to meet and ask him about the name. Buddha said:
- It is Ni De burden distribution, thanks to diligent effort has proved A result Arhat and many magical powers.
Seeing the king surprised, Buddha taught:
- Dharma is like clear water, like evil fire, like the ocean. In this world, nothing is unclean and the water is not clean. Nothing evil, no matter how big or small, the fierce flame will not burn. There is no such thing, whether clean or unclean, whether pure or unclean, that the ocean's intolerance and the purification are completely. With the Dharma, all are divorced and become pure. With the Dharma, there is no issue of race, rich or poor, cowardice. All of these are fake names. The flesh is the body only due to the four elements, the five aggregates, In the flesh, only wisdom is important. If you know how to make the intellect, anyone will be saved. Wisdom lights up in the body of impurity, like a lotus blossom in a swamp. Mud rot wearing mud, lotus bloom does not prevent fragrant lotus. His Majesty is intelligent,
Before the transparent explanations of the Buddha and the concrete truth that the La Han Ni De majestically manifested his supernatural powers, the king saw that there was no reason to trouble Buddha. On the contrary, he happily bowed to the new Luo Han witness and made a vow to regularly offer all the necessary things, without missing anything.

III.- BUDDHISM

Van Nhi Bach Nhuc (Listening to two hundred memories) or Nhi Nhi Ten Nhi Nhi (Twenty-one-ear ears), before he was ordained, was a famous musician. He came from a wealthy family, cherished by his parents like jewels. From the moment of birth, he is always carried, not to the feet of the ground; under the soles of his feet were bristles of black hairs, very frighteningly ugly.
One day, listening to the Buddha's lecture, deeply moved, he made a vow to go down to the monk's hair. Seeing him eat only one meal a day and cultivate his momentum under the tree, his parents felt unbearable, trying to prevent all disruptions, but all efforts were unable to shake his enthusiasm for spiritual practice.
Having lived such austere life for so long, his body gradually weakened but still had not made any small progress, he became suspicious, thinking that perhaps because there was no affinity, he intended to follow the lifestyle. activities at home, doing a lot of giving to cause merit and virtue for a next life.
The Buddha knew his mind, went to the tree he sat, and asked him:
- Since becoming a monk, he has often used music to help us proclaim the Dharma, cultivate the faith of the people as well as his own. . That merit is so precious. But recently, because of his strong spiritual practice, except for meditation, he determined not to pay any attention to any other work; What does that mean? Now we ask him this question: He was originally a musician, whereas if a man plays the strings too tight, what will be the consequences?
- White Buddha! The strings will break.
- What if it's too short?
- The piano won't sound.
- Practice spiritually, Buddha said. Don't be too tight, nor should you falter. Being too tight or too short will cause birth defects. In the long run, these bad habits will turn into difficult habits. Not only the issue of spiritual practice, everything in the world must always be true to the middle level and always keep the peace of mind in order to achieve the desired results.
Van Nhi Bach Uc obeys the instructions of the Buddha, keeping the right path, the mind gradually calms down. Soon, he witnessed the results of Arhat.

IV.- ARTICLE CODE

The Buddha's method of teaching is not tied to any fixed rule. He was always flexible according to the body of each disciple but like a physician depending on the disease and decided the ladder. Same to treat a bad habit, but with this class Buddha said this method, to other people cave, Buddha said other methods. The method of teaching is never fixed, depending on the situation and the basis. Buddha's voice is like the sound of the great rosary, when it is necessary to strike hard, the cry is loud, when it is lightly struck, the cry is small.
One day, there was a Code Ma (Master of horse training) who sincerely asked the Buddha to declare his blind spot. Buddha did not answer straight but asked back:
- You are familiar with horse training, tell me about your horse training method like?
- There are three methods: one is soft, two is tough, three is both soft and tough.
- Suppose you encountered a rebellious horse and all three methods were void, do you have any other measures?
- No way out, only to kill.
Article Ma hesitated for a moment, then continued:
- But what is the method to control his beings?
- We only have those three methods. One is soft, two is tough, three is both soft and tough.
- But what if all three methods are invalid?
- There is no better way to kill it.
Article Ma scared, timidly asked:
- Disciple is heard in the teachings of Buddha, killing is the most serious crime. Doing so is not a violation of gender reasonable?
- He said yes. In our teaching, killing is the most serious sin. Because killing is the cause of creating impure karma, resulting in very evil retribution in samsara. But the wrong part is what we call killing here compared to your bloody killing, the two sides are different. The class of beings who cannot be subdued is the class of evil beings, no one craves to socialize, no one wants to teach or ask. That being, though living, is like a dead person. Those guys killed themselves.
Article Ma awakening awakening to take refuge in the Buddha, maintenance of five precepts. And from then on, he abandoned the habit of mistreatment and killing.

V.- NESTING FOR LIFE MA LA

In Tát Na village in the north of Xa Ve, there was a Brahmin named Ma Ni Bat Da La. He had a disciple named Khuong Khuat Ma La. Two teachers and students are very compatible. So the other disciples born jealousy, it is said that between Ma Ni and Wang Qiu's wife had evil intentions. Rumors reached Ma Ni, all were dismissed by him. But wickedly, as a result of that rumor, Ma Ni's wife began to pay attention to Ying Khuat. Seeing that he was handsome and smart, she could not control sex, was yelling at him, and then because she was unable to tease, gradually became insanely passionate.
At the time of Ma Ni's absence, she was in a bad mood with the butterfly, ready to be with Khuong Khuat, humiliated by Khuong. That person she was extremely ashamed, vengeful to vengeance. Waiting for her husband to return, the prostitute screamed and asked for suicide. Asking for cause, it was said that because Khuong Khuat disrespected his virtue.
Listening to his wife's numbness, Ma Ni was angry with the rebellious disciple, but on the outside, he was still alert, used comforting words and comforted the disciple, then passed it as if nothing important happened.
A few days later, Ma Ni called Khuong Khuat to come to him and told him calmly:
- You have followed me for a long time, but there is a secret I have not yet been able to pass on to you. Now we think it is time to transmit that secret. But to practice that secret, first of all, you must cleanse your sins. To cleanse sin, need to kill hundreds of people, cut off the fingers and toes strung into the neck chain.
Wang Khuong listened in horror and trembled. But Ma Ni tried to resist from taking reason, to persuade his disciples to put him on the path of sin and to wash his own hatred. Finally, because he did not dare to obey the words, Khuong Khuat closed his eyes and followed. After killing the first person, he became crazy because he was too scared. In order to avoid punishing water, he fled into the forest, expecting someone to shoot and kill. Then every day a crime piled up, he became like a lunatic, ignorant.
The Buddha's disciples listen to the beginning of the story and tell the Buddha. The Buddha took mercy, determined to make a decent sacrifice, and saved the Khuong Khuat. Buddha sought him, until he faced him, he used his own overwhelming power to make him ragged around his limbs and the knife he was holding at any time. Suddenly he fell down and prostrated like a machine. Buddha asked diligently:
- Do you want to follow me as a disciple?
- A long time ago, anyone who saw me trembled, and I knelt and begged for my life. What permission do you have to turn things around like this? I've killed so many people, how can I follow you?
Buddha calmly taught:
- Murder is a serious crime. But if you sincerely repent, you will still be saved. Penance has the power to eliminate the past. For example, when sunlight appeared in the blink of an eye, all the darkness, no matter how thick, was broken. For example, when a large sea receives water from hundreds of rivers, all muddy mud settles and becomes clear. Like the earth after receiving the solution, all filtered into fresh water. He is not concerned about past sins, it is important that he is sincere in his self-improvement or not!
Since then, Khuong Khuat followed the Buddha to become a disciple, day and night specialized in practicing a single penance. Soon, he proved a result Arhat.

VI.- SAMPLE DEATH

In Dai Dau country, there is a strange woman who specializes in kidnapping children to eat meat. By the way, people in the country called the Devil Tu Moc (Mother of children of demons).
Although he likes to eat small children like that, his own children, she loves proper indulgence. The people of Dai Dau heard everything was disappointed. The only precautionary measure is to hold on to your child and not to leave the house.
One day the Buddha came to preach at Dai Dau, the people in the area said this strange story. In order to eliminate the root of the general painting, the Buddha presented a way for a bhikkhu to the Demon Mother's house, sneaking up the youngest son of the town named Tan Gia La and bringing him back to the monastery.
Mother Devil lost her child, went crazy, forgot to eat and sleep, and sat around crying all the time.
A few days later, the Buddha came to the house to ask:
- What is so sad about crying?
- People stole my baby.
- Why don't you go looking and cry?
It is said that she cried even louder.
Buddha calmly asked:
- You love her very much, don't you?
- My Tan Gia La is very cute. If I lose it, only death can be relieved.
Excess opportunity, the Buddha continued:
- She loved her, like other neighbors love people. How she lost her pain, others also lost her like that. For a long time, she ate as much meat as children. So she made many mothers cry like she today. Do you want me to help her find her child now?
- Sir, if you really help me find my child, then he told me to follow.
Buddha returned Tan Gia La to the Devil Mother. Since then, the Devil has not only followed Buddha's footsteps, but has also made a vow to protect all children from kidnapping.

VII.- MA SIGNATURE

Among the Buddha disciples, the most handsome and the most intelligent, is Ananda. He is famous for multi-literature. Because of the importance of multiculturalism, but little attention to virtue, he was tempted by Ma Dang Gia.
One day, Ananda brought an alms bowl to alms in a neighbor with nails. On the way back, when the sun was hot, A Nan thirsty stopped beside the well to ask for water. Then there was a slave girl named Bat Cat De (Prakrti or Pakati) of the Ma Dang Gia family (Matànga) standing to draw water. This girl (often mistakenly called Old Ma Dang), though a girl with impulses, is very beautiful.
At first, Bat Cat De refused, arguing that he was a mean girl, not allowed to come near the nobles. If only A Nan was not only a noble but also a disciple of Buddha, she would not dare to come near. An Nan begged for a long time, Bat Cat De just stood far away and poured water down, An Nan came to bring her hands together to drink. Seeing that A Nan was too easy going, after the words were sweet, the Bat Cat De jokingly scooped water into Ananda's feet, saying it was for Ananda to wash his feet.
From that meeting, Bat Cat De had anorexic sleep, day and night I thought I was still lonely, and looked every day languishing. Bat Cat De's mother saw that she was worried about the problem a few times later. She was horrified when she heard that her son insisted on marrying Ananda. She was very appealing to discourage:
- Ananda is a Buddhist disciple. You should know that now India, from the lower emperors to the people, everyone admires the Buddha. My wild dream is not clever enough to make the whole family bear. Moreover, A Nan himself is a scholar, how can I expect to marry my husband and wife with him.
- Mom, I'm sure Ananda is not a sexual person. His love for him is not inferior to his love for him. If I couldn't get the hair together, I might be dead!
Gia Old Ma Dang Gia has a kind of mantra called Ta Bhikkhu ca la first heavenly; he has the effect of narcotic the mind, disturbing the soul. Because there was no way to stop her son, Bat Cat De's mother decided to use an heirloom magic to kidnap Ananda.
The next day, when Ananda brought the alms bowl to the alley, from the house Ma Dang Old echoed the invitation:
- Hey Monk A Nan! The house has been cleaned up, scattered with incense to welcome the religious people, so please respect the beauty of the forest. We have also laid out food, please welcome him to worship.
During the life of worship, Ananda felt like she was being seduced, but her internal strength was weak. When the meal was finished, his spirit was in love and he was led into the room by Bat Cat De. Upon awakening, Ananda panicked, running through the door to Ky Vien. Since then, every time Ananda came out of Ky Vien, there seemed to be a flow of magical power that would lead her to the village with her nails. And each time like that, the Bat Cat De was extremely gorgeous, following Ananda's heels.
Knowing he was falling and no way to deal with himself, Ananda brought himself to confess to the Buddha, praying for Buddha's rescue:
Buddha laughed:
- It is the consequence of not paying attention to virtue but only loving multiculturalism .
Buddha asked Ananda to call Bat Cat De to Ky Vien. Ask:
- You love Ananda very much, right?
- Yes, sir.
- What do you love in Ananda? The nose? Eyes reasonable? Just tell the truth, we can satisfy it all.
Bat Cat De was puzzled and didn't know how to answer. Buddha continued:
- So she invited her parents here. Marriage must be approved by parents.
The mother came and Buddha taught:
- If you want Bat Cat De to be able to marry Ananda, then you must consent to Bat Cat De renunciation a phen, we can stand out to cooperate on both sides. An Nan ordained, Bat Cat De at home, the two sides are not in the same situation, how to celebrate the wedding.
The mother agreed, Bat Cat De was also extremely happy as if she had successfully held her hand. From there, Bat Cat De entered them monks and nuns, gathered all his mind to listen to the Buddha's teaching, day and night practicing elaborately, to please Buddha that soon became Buddha's work. But the more he tried to practice spiritually, gradually the Bat Cat De realized that his previous thoughts were misleading.
Later, Bat Cat De determined to emulate learning with Ananda, trying to see who proved the result first. Love has completely changed to religious life Finally Bat Cat De won, she saw Arahantship when Buddha was still alive, warmly praised by the Buddha. Ananda forever three months after the Buddha nirvana, the cause of Gautama provoked enlightenment.

Bat Cat De to receive a passionate love which is transformed into blessing is a meaningful example in transforming love into enlightenment: Enlightenment is incomparable. The story of Bat Cat De - An Nan is a shining example that tells the relationship between mundane and base: Enlightenment is tied together. Enlightenment is available in the maze, beyond the maze there is no enlightenment.
