FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH. |
The Four Noble Truths, also called the Four Noble Truths, are the four noble truths, which are the basic roots of Buddhism. The four noble truths are the content of the enlightened experience of Shakyamuni Buddha and also the main content of the first sutta, the Dharma Turn Wheel. The four noble truths are:
1. The First Noble Truth, that is, the truth about Suffering: The first truth is that all forms of existence are of a suffering nature, incomplete. Birth, old sickness, death, leaving what you like, not achieving your wishes are all miserable. Deeper, the nature of the five mind-body groups, called the Five Aggregates, are the conditions that create the self, are all misery.
2. Tap dukkha, ie the truth about the arising of dukkha: The cause of dukkha is desire (Ai), seeking gratification, contentment to become, gratification and destruction. These types of desires are the root of samsara.
3. Kill the dukkha, ie the truth about the cessation of suffering: Once the root of all craving is eradicated, the suffering is also eradicated.
4. The Noble Truth, that is, the truth about the path leading to the cessation of suffering: The method to attain the cessation of suffering is the path of eradication of the eight-branch suffering, also known as the Eightfold Path.
The eightfold Path includes:
1 / right view (with the correct conception of the Four Noble Truths);
2 / the main thinking (with thinking properly about the meaning of the four truths);
3 / the main language (telling the truth, not lying, not frivolous);
4 / the righteous cause (to keep the precepts, not to violate the precepts.);
5 / political responsibility (avoiding professions related to killing, killing animals, such as butchers, hunters, arms dealers, drug dealers);
6 / the main diligence (doing good, creating and developing good karma, eradicating bad karma);
7 / righteous thoughts (always alert to prevent sins committed by body, speech, and mind);
8 / righteous concentration (focus the mind to reach the four worldly appearances).
Do not understand the Four Noble Truths is considered ignorance.
When discovering the Four Noble Truths, Buddha attained Enlightenment. And he started to educate sentient beings with this teaching, in Loc lith.
