The Akkosa Sutta and the Buddha's lesson on humiliation .VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
Through Akkosa Bharadvaja's lesson on insulting the Buddha, let us see how the Buddha handled it. Does he suffer silence, patience, and non-justification? Will he let people insult? No, the Buddha is very brave, outspoken, and often through situations to re-educate sentient beings.
Once the Buddha lived in Rajagaha (Vuong Xa) in a bamboo forest, near a nursing home for squirrels. At that time, the Brahmin named Akkosa Bharadvaja heard the following rumor: "Brahmin Bharadvaja, seems to have become a monk according to Gotama (Con Dam)." In fact, at that time, this Brahmin was never a disciple of Buddha. Hearing such rumors, he was angry and unhappy, so he went to the place where the Buddha practiced.
After getting close to the Blessed One, he criticized, and cruelly treated the Blessed One with vulgar and cruel words. Being scolded like that, the Blessed One said to the Brahmin Akkosa Bharadvaja: ' Behold, Brahmin, he has many friends, many close friends, many close relatives, many relatives and visitors. him or not? "
"Yes, Gotama Sensei, sometimes I have many friends, many close friends, many close relatives, many relatives and visitors."
"Brahmin, have you served them snacks, or food (right meals), or appetizers?"
"Yes, Mr. Gotama, sometimes I serve them snacks, or food (right meals), or appetizers."
"Brahmin, however, if they do not accept those foods, who will receive it?"
"Gotama-sensei, if they don't accept it, I will take back those foods."
" Likewise, Brahmin, you are cruelly treating us, people who are not cruel to anyone, you are angry with us, people who are not angry at anyone, you are controversy with us, who didn't argue with anyone, everything we did, we didn't accept, Brahmin, bring it all to yourself, Brahmin, for Brahmin all these belong to him.
"Behold, Brahmin, when one person is cruel (on the contrary) because he has been cruelly treated, angry (on the contrary) because he has been angered by the other person, and argued (on the contrary). because they were disputed by the other person, Brahmin, this is called mutual exchange, and interrelatedness, this exchange and interconnection, we don't want to attend. So, Brahmin, take everything you bring to yourself; Brahmin, for all these things belong to you. "

Akosa bharadvaja
Mr. Akkosabharadvaja used profanity in cursing the Buddha, however, the Buddha was calm and he said that he did not accept this vulgar (cursing) gift.
The Buddha said he did not accept and sent back the scolding to its creator, not the "forbearance" to let himself swallow his own bitterness. Thereby, to re-educate the person who has just created the evil karma to humiliate others.
"Everyone, including the king, knows Guru Gotama: 'The Guru Gotama is the Enlightened One who deserve to be offered'. Therefore, when does Guru Gotama become angry or not? "
Then the Buddha said:
" Where is anger? For a person who is no longer angry,
For a person who lives meekly, having a complete peace of mind and peace,
For a truly knowledgeable person to have complete liberation,
For a very calm person, the mind is always in a state of balance;
If someone is angry (on the contrary) because they have been angered by the other person,
He was worse than the one who angered him;
If someone is not angry (the opposite) because they have been angered by the other person,
He alone was the one who won a difficult battle.
He encourages the safety and consideration of both sides,
His side, as well as the other's side.
He knows that the other is angry;
With a mind of awareness, he maintains peace,
And he endured the wrath of both sides,
His side, as well as the other's side.
Even though there are those who are crazy about intelligence,
They see him as a fool, through their gaze. "

The Brahmin Akkosa Bharadvaja, through the hands of the Blessed One, was ordained as an ordained monk (Sa-di), and he also received the higher precepts of a monk.
After the Blessed One taught the above verses, Brahmin Akkosa Bharadvaja answered the Blessed One:
"It is truly wonderful, truly like that, Venerable Gotama! At this moment, I would like to take refuge in the Venerable Gotama, take refuge in your Dharma, and take refuge in your Sangha. Dear Venerable, through two tables venerable hand of the Reverend Gotama, please grant me the privilege of being ordained as an early monk (Sa-di), and also receive the higher precepts of a monk. "
And the Brahmin Akkosa Bharadvaja, through the hands of the Blessed One, was ordained as a monk with the original precepts (Sa-di), and he also received the higher precepts of a monk.
And within a short time of renunciation, Venerable Akkosa Bharadvaja, living alone, secluded, diligent, energetic, and determined, he achieved the unrivaled perfection of a monk. in the Sangha (of sons who live in noble families), have completely abandoned family life, and lived homeless.
Through direct understanding, he realized the ultimate truth, and immediately, he lived with this knowledge. He saw through his "natural eye-contact": " End the rebirth, have lived a noble life, completed spiritual tasks, and from now on there is nothing (more noble) to achieve. more."
Venerable Akkosa Bharadvaja, truly, has become one of the Arhat. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.23/5/2020.
