GANGOTTARA Sutra.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.

T O hear like this ...

At that time,  the Buddha  is  to dwell  in the garden of  Anathapindika , in the park  Jetavana  near  Sravasti . Then, with a  laywoman  named Gangottara ( Hang Ha  Thuong  Upasika ) leave the place  of residence  of her in the  Sravasti  to meet  Buddha . She  reverently  pay homage to  the foot of  the Buddha , then back to the side and sat down.

Exalted  voiced  questions Gangottara, 'I come from?'

Laywoman  Gangottara white  Buddha , 'White  Buddha , if anyone questioning a person has formed an  illusory , that the person is coming from, then the  answer  of that person to like ? '

The Blessed One  replied to  her, 'A person has been made  illusory , he neither comes nor goes, he is  neither born  nor destroyed; How can you tell where that person is from? '

The layperson  asked, '  Venerable Buddha , is it true or not, are all generals  illusory , like magic?'

Buddha  answered , 'That's right, what you said is very true.'

Gangottara asked again, 'If all the generals are illusory, like  miracles , why does  the Blessed One  still ask me, where are you from?'

The Buddha  said to her, 'A person is made  illusory , he does not [really] go to the  realms  of suffering , nor to the  realms of heaven ; he also does not go to  nirvana . Gangottara, is this the same for me? '

You  laywoman  replied , 'As far as I  noticed ,  posing as  relatives minister  's son has little difference with the  appearances  illusory , then you can talk of going to the  realm  nice  and  sorrow suffering , or can discuss going to  nirvana . But I  absolutely  do not  realize  there is a discrepancy between  the form  's children with an  excellent minister  fake case  is made up of a bogus, then how can a debate about going to the  realm  nice  and grief , or go to nirvana? '

'Moreover, the  Exalted ,  the true nature  of  nirvana  is not  recycled  into the  realms  whether  good  or  sorrow , nor  go through  the experience  of cessation. I believe that this is also my  true nature  . '

The Buddha  asked, 'Aren't you going to find  nirvana  ?'

Gangottara asked the Buddha again  , 'If this question were asked to someone who has never been born, what will be the  answer  ?'

The Buddha  answered , 'What has never been born, is  nirvana .'

Gangottara asked again, 'Isn't all dharma the same as with  nirvana  ?'

Buddha  answered , 'That's right, that's right.'

'  Venerable Buddha , if all the dharma were equal to  nirvana  , why did  the Blessed One  still ask me,' Are you not seeking  the realm of nirvana  ? ' Moreover,  the Blessed One , if one is artificially created, asks this question to another who is also made false, saying, 'Are you not seeking  nirvana  ? ' What will the  answer  be? '

The Buddha  said to the  lay woman , 'Because one is artificially created, there is no attachment, and therefore, not seeking anything.' 

Gangottara demanded, 'Is the Tathagata 's very question   also  born of a  little attachment?'

The Blessed One  said to  the lay lady , 'Tathagata asks the same question to me because right here in   this conference , there are good boys and good girls, through which they can become  mature ,  mature .  Tathagata   has no clinging mind. Why? Because  Tathagata  knows that even the names ( names ) of all generals cannot be captured, let alone those generals, let alone those who seek  nirvana . '

Gangottara said, 'If so, why discuss the accumulation of good roots   to  attain  enlightenment?'

The Buddha  answered , 'Even the  Bodhisattva  and the  good roots  are inconceivable; because in the mind of the  Bodhisattva  absent  ideological  attachment  treat  that we are  accumulating  good roots  or not  accumulation  of virtue . ' 

Gangottara asked, 'Blonde Any  ideological  attachment  treat  meant stars, lord?'

The Blessed One  replied , 'I cannot grasp and grasp the absence of the  idea of  attachment  to treatment  through  thought alone . Why? In the  state of  absence  ideological  attachment to  treat , even the mind is also impossible to grasp, let alone the  mental states . This unimaginable state of  mind  , which is incomprehensible, is therefore called inconceivable. Can't grasp it, can't describe it  as true  ; neither  pure  nor  pure . Why is that? Because, like all that Tathagata  once said, all dharma s are inherently  emptiness , empty and unobstructed, like  nothingness . '

Gangottara asked again, 'If all things are empty like  nothingness , then why does  the Blessed One  talk about color, feeling, thought, action and consciousness; about 18 precepts; about 12 countries; 12  interdependent conditions ; the  umbrella  and the non-  umbrella ; the net and the  impure ; Samsara  and nirvana? '

Buddha  answered  Gangottara, 'When we talk about the self, even though we use a  word  to refer to that concept, in  reality , the true nature of the  self  is something that cannot be grasped, cannot be penetrated. We talk about  form , but in  fact , the true nature of  form  is something that cannot be captured. And  just like  that to others,  to  the  nirvana . Just as we cannot  find  water when we look at  illusion , we also cannot  find the  true nature of  form , no found  to be the true nature of the law,  till  all  nirvana . '  

'Gangottara, only one who  wholeheartedly  cultivates  pure purity of conduct  in   accordance with  the Dharma  and knows that nothing can be captured, only that person is worthy of being called a pure cultivator.  virginity . Even if there are proud people who claim to have grasped and understood something, we cannot say that these people have  sincerely  cultivated  pure conduct . People like that will  be terrified  and have  doubts  when they hear about   this profound teaching . Those guys won't be able to     liberation   from birth, aging, illness, death,  anxiety ,  suffering  and  afflictions . '

'Gangottara, after we enter  great nirvana , there will be people who  continue to  spread   this  profound teaching,  which can  end the  cycle of  reincarnation . However , there are also people who are crazy  because of the  wrong view , which engenders hatred toward the  masters  of  the Dharma , and they will  try to  find ways to harm the  masters   of  the Dharma . Because of that, those crazy people will fall into  hell . '

Gangottara  voiced  asked, "Bhagavan said to 'teachings  are profound  may  terminate  within   samsara .' White  World Religion , 'ending the cycle of reincarnation' means like? '

The Blessed One  replied, 'Ending the cycle of  reincarnation  means  penetrating  through the  truth  of reality — an  impossible realm  . Nothing can destroy or  destroy  this method . Therefore, it is called the method  of cessation of reincarnation . ' 

Saying so,  the Buddha  smiled  gently , from where [white] between tripod projecting  the aura  of pure ,  lapis , blue, yellow, red, white. Halo  shines to endless  realm , including scenes  Brahmas , then that light collected  back , enter  back  into empowerment  protuberance  of  Buddha .  

Seeing this,  the Venerable  Ananda  thought, 'Tathagata,  who is the Exalted , Tier  Supreme Awakened  rarely  any smiles but  there's no reason  why.'  Venerable  Ananda then  left his seat, plucked him right, knelt down on his right pillow, clasped his hands in the direction facing  the Buddha  and asked, '  Venerable Buddha, where did Buddha smile like that?'

Buddha  replied, 'I see that in  the past , a thousand  Tathagata  has also been  preaching  this here, and each of   the conference  of a thousand  the conference  are a  laywoman  named Gangottara  lead . After hearing  the sermon ,  laywomen  Gangottara and all  the mass  were all  abandoned  life  secular . Some  time  later, all  realized  immeasurable nirvana . '

Venerable  Ananda  asked  the Buddha , 'What should we name this sutta, and how should we receive and  preserve  this sutta?'

The Buddha  answered , 'This sutta is called  Yuan Dung  Chuan  [The  complete purity   without defect], and you should  keep  this sutta as the name taught.'

During  the  Buddha's  discourse  , there were 700 bhikkhus and 400 bhikkhunis who  permanently  removed polluted minds  ; their minds  are  completely  liberated .

At that time,  the gods  at the  worlds  was for  goods out  miraculously enough thousands of species of  flowers disasters  could, scattered the flowers up on  the Buddha  and said, 'It is rare, the  laywoman  this , who did not hesitate  fear  that can  repartee  discussion  on par  with god  Tathagata . In the  past , sure Gangottara once servant and  offerings to  untold  Buddhas, and has cultivated all kinds of  good roots  under the  witness  of him. '
