XX. Explanatory Buddha VIPASSIN organization.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.
Following the Buddha Phussa when that period of life plus the life of one another passed away, ninety-one of a great life ago, a guru named Vipassin appeared in this world. had thought about all that was known,
Follow Buddha Phussa when that life plus the great life[1] alternatingly gone, ninety-one ago there was a master named Vipassin[2] appearing in this world, he is the one who has reflected on all that has been known, his intention is to aim for the happiness of all beings in this world, he is the one who has observed ( vipassin) everything happens in this world.[3] When he completed the perfections of Dharma, he was reborn in the world of the Tushita Sun.- A residence illuminated with countless gems. Having passed away from that realm, he was born in the womb of his mother, Bandhumatī, the regent queen of the king, Bandhumā, in the city of Bandhumati. The king was very wealthy with many close relatives (bandhumant). After ten months in his mother's womb, he was born in Deer Park in Khema City, looking like a full moon illuminating unobstructed. On the day of his naming ceremony, the princes of many people were able to see the generals, [ 236 ] named him Vipassin, saying: "Day and night he witnessed only pure things. . "[4] There is no darkness that can overshadow.[5] and he was always watching with his eyes wide open.[6] Or they said, "Vipassin means: you constantly investigate and study while you are looking at things."[7] He lived in the harem for eight thousand years. His three castles are named Nanda, Sunanda, Sirimā. There were again one hundred and twenty thousand women in his harem with Queen Sudassanā leading. Queen Sudassanā also known as Sutanū.
Eight thousand years later, when he witnessed four phenomena and his son[8] His name was Samavattakkhandha was born to Queen Sutanū, he set out to make a great ordination on a thoroughbred horse-drawn carriage. He was ordained. Following the example he had eighty-four thousand people renunciate with him. When his renunciants surrounded him, they made up their mind to make an ascetic struggle for eight months and on the full moon day of Visakha he had a meal of sweet milk, prepared by the daughter of a merchant. His name is Sudassana. He spent a temporary stay in the Sala forest, just as the trees in the forest were sprouting.
After having received eight bundles of hay from Sujāta, the guard of the corn field offered them and recognized the Bodhi tree[9] Pṭal was magnificently decorated, he approached the Bodhi tree, going to the right. That day, the trunk[10] Pāṭalī grew to eight ratanas and the tree branch also expanded to about five ratanas and one hundred ratanas taller. That same day the Pāṭalī tree covered the root to the top with all sorts of fragrant fragrant flowers as if tied to a fragrant bark, a kind of divine taste that sometimes spread throughout the region. Not only the Pāṭalī tree gives off such sweet scent. Entire Pāṭalī trees [11] all ten thousand of us in the World were also fragrant, the trees had branches[12]as well as vines and the ocean becomes cool and sweet. Full of iridescent lotus flowers and water lilies covering the surface of the water. The entire space among the ten thousand of us Worlds is unfurled with flags, banners and wreaths. The bouquets and trees with drooping buds cover many regions and the entire surface of the world is covered by a fragrant smoke of fragrant incense. Having come close to the Bodhi tree and eight bundles of hay scattered over a vast area of up to thirteen cubit, he sat cross-legged and was determined to make an effort to reach the four principalities. He sat with the curse: "I will not stand up until I become a Buddha." While meditating like that, he conquered the Maou army along with the Maou leading the army.
When he gradually mastered the holy path,[13] Holy directing the four positions, immediately after the Holy Path and the four Holy results, four wisdom analysis, the position of discernment, four states of rebirth, the position of delineation of five boundaries, four positions of no-rank, six positions cannot be shared. with other people and all the special gifts in the Buddhas, his intention is fulfilled. Sitting in the lotus position of attainment of the Samyaksambuddha, he said these solemn words:
"Through so many rebirths in samsara ...
I have attained all craving." *
It is like the boundary of sparks spilling out of a car, then slowly fading away, and it is impossible to know, therefore no boundaries are drawn for those who are properly liberated, through intellectually, and they have overcome the bliss and desire to achieve eternal happiness *
237 ] After spending seven weeks near the Bodhi tree, he accepted the Brahma's request and realized the attainments of the gifts of Prince Khaṇḍa,[14] As his brother-in-law and son Tissa 2  , the monk's son, he traveled in the air and landed on the Deer Park in Khema City.[15] When he asked the watchman at the entertainment venue what both of them came to see him, Zhuan Falun[16] in the presence of these two men and their entourage. Then, there was an Fa-comprehension there with countless gods participating, so it was said that:
XX
And after Buddha Phussa, the Lord of the Enlightenment, Buddha Vipassin, who is the optimal among beings, a person with eyes, has appeared in this world.
When he eradicated ignorance and reached the supreme Right Samyaksambuddha. He decided to turn Zhuan Falun in his hometown called Bandhumatī.
When the world leader turned Zhuan Falun, he awakened both of them. This is the first insight into the Fa conference, attended by countless countless beings.
2. In this case,  eradication  means smashing to pieces. The meaning is: he has smashed the darkness of ignorance. He "Zhuan Falun in a monastery." Also an explanation. "In that monastery" means in the Loc Tho garden at Khema.
*. Please read the text. 133.
2.  He awakened both  means that he awakened both his half brother, Kha làa, the king's son, and Tissa, the son of the monk.
3.  Cannot be counted by the number  that means: it is impossible to count countless gods in the grasp of that Dharma.
The next time he made Khaṇḍa, the son of the king, and Tissa, the son of the monk, and about eighty-four thousand bhikkhus ordained in his example to taste the Dharma. It was the second insight into the dharma. Therefore it is said that:
XX.
4. Later, thanks to his outstanding reputation, he interpreted the Dharma there. The second insight took place about eighty-four thousand.
3. In this case,  that  means at the Loc Tho garden in the city of Khema.
4.  Eighty-four thousand people who have renounced their lives following the example of the Lord of Right Enlightenment  means: in this matter, it is considered that these people, up to eighty-four thousand people, are all retainers of the Emperor. Tu Vipassin ,.
In the early morning when they were on the road[17] to take care of Prince Vipassin, and did not meet him. They had left for breakfast and returned after having asked the Prince's residence. Upon hearing that the prince is there, they have moved to a place of entertainment, saying that they are looking for him. As soon as they left, his carriage was returning. He informed them that the prince had ordained. Right where they heard this, putting away all the valuables, they themselves [238] put on a yellow robes at a grocery store, and down to shave their hair, they ordained. After doing so, they approached Dai Nhan and surrounded him. Then the Bodhisattva Vipassin thought: "It is not appropriate to stay in the middle of an ascetic striving while staying in the middle of a real crowd. Because before these owners have come here and surrounded us, That's why they do the same now. What do we do with this crowd? ” Feeling unsatisfied because the crowd he gathered was so crowded, he thought, "I am leaving today." But thinking back, "Today is not a good day for us to leave, most likely they will discover us, we will leave tomorrow." And that day people living in a village like Uruvelā village invited the Great Lord along with his entourage to live there until the next day. They have prepared a sweet milk rice meal for the Great Lord and about more than eighty-four thousand people. Then the next day, the full moon day of Visakha, after the Great Vipassin had dined in that village with all the residents of the village. And to the place where they are residing, where those renunciants, acted like the Great Lord did[18], each move to a place reserved for them to spend the night or the next day. And after the Bodhisattva entered a thatched hut and when he was sitting, he thought, "This is a good time to leave." After departing and closing the leaf hut, he departed toward the dove around the Bodhi Tree.
They said those who were ordained would return in the evening to take care of the Bodhisattva and meditate around his leaf hut. Realizing that it was too late, they immediately opened the door to the leaf hut but did not see him in it. But they did not go to find him because they thought. "It seems the Great Lord is tired of the crowd and wants to be alone?" But really we just want to see him become a Buddha. ” And they were on their way to the interior of Jambudīpa Yancheng. Then, upon hearing that Vipassin had attained Buddhahood and Zhuan Falun, all the monks and nuns gathered together at the same time in the Deer Park in Khema City, with Bandhumatī as the capital. That's why the Buddha Buddha explained the Dharma to them. Then soon after that there was a thorough understanding of the Fa for about eighty-four thousand bhikkhus present. That was the third insight into the Fa. So it is said that:
XX.
When they arrived at the temple, the eye had explained the Dharma to the eighty-four thousand monks who followed the example of the Samyaksambuddha.
When they approached and listened to him interpret the Dharma at the time he was presenting all the problems, they all realized the Dharma Eye; This is the third insight into the Fa
5. In this case,  eighty-four thousand people have renounced the example (anupabbajum) of the Noble Enlightenment  here, so we should understand that this means that the "Samyaksambuddha" is used in the opposite way because there is continuation. anu prefix. The meaning is that they have ordained as a monk. This grammar law should be well understood.[19] “Just arrived at the temple there[20] is also an explanation.
6.  When he is still preaching,  he is giving a speech.
239 ] 6.  Having come closer  means that when they have approached you, when the Dharma experiments have been distributed.
Even they  also mean they too. It seems that eighty-four thousand people have become monks and retreats to Mr. Vipassin.
6.  to reach (attain)  means to know the Dharma. The third insight took place like this in these people.
And in the Deer Park garden in the city of Khema, while the Buddha Vipassin was sitting among the sixty-eight hundred thousand monks who were ordained, following the example of the two supreme male novels, under the leadership of Buddha Vipassin, the Chief of the Enlightened One recited the Precepts and said,
Be patient, endure [21] is the ultimate ascetic practice, Nibbana (in any case[22]) are also paramount, the Buddhas have taught so. Because anyone who harms others is not a "renunciate" nor will he become a monk if one does harm to others.
Do not do anything evil or evil, complete all the good, clean your mind[23]: this is also the teaching of the Buddhas.
Do not misuse[24] others, no harm[25] others and end up according to the Precepts[26], moderately dining, secluded seats and seats, and an upright retreat[27]: this is also the teaching of the Buddhas.
And we should understand that these are verses of the Precepts of all Buddhas. This is the first sangha.
Also, the second sangha took place after about one hundred thousand monks were ordained and witnessed Song Thong and when Vipassin's two younger brothers and sisters had pacified the uprising in border areas and have reclaimed the jewels, they used to help the Buddha. The two brothers led the Buddha Lord back to their city. After listening to him interpret the Dharma and taking care of Vipassin, both renunciates. Sitting among the crowd of about eighty thousand people in Deer Park in the city of Khema. Buddha The Buddha chanted the precepts. This is the third Sangha. So there is an explanation as follows:
XX.
Vipassin, the great hermit, had three groups of Sangha, including all the faithful who had ceased smuggling or, had been pure and calm.
The first Sangha was composed of sixty-eight[28] hundred thousand people. The second group consists of one hundred thousand bhikkhus.
The third group of eighty thousand bhikkhus. Right Samyakuni had shined there among the groups of bhikkhus gathered around him.
8. In this case  sixty-eight hundred thousand Bhikkhu khưu  means: one hundred thousand Bhikkhu khưu plus sixty eight thousand Bhikkhu khưu follow.
240 ] 9.  At that  means in the lone garden   of Khema city.
9.  Between the Bhikkhu khưu the group gathered  means between the Sangha the Bhikkhu khưu[29]"Among the Sangha monks," is also an explanation; The meaning here is: between the Sangha the Bhikkhu khưu gather.
Our Bodhisattva at that time was a Dragon King named Atula, who had extraordinary magical powers and a strange stately face. Surrounding hundreds of thousands of untold Nagas. To pay homage to the Lord Tathagata, have the strength of virtue of wisdom, have a cool mind due to immense compassion, and for his entourage, he reserved the entire hall under his ownership.[30] This hall was built to honor him, shaped like a celestial sphere[31] The moon is made of precious stones and must be considered by everyone to be beautiful and extremely outstanding.[32] While he was seated there, the bodhisattva organized a seven-day almighty celebration, consisting of all the divine possessions. And he prepared the Buddha for a very beautifully decorated chair[33] with all sorts of extremely expensive gems. The chair is made of gold, shining continuously due to the brilliant light coming from those gems. So when Lord Buddha blessed the almsgiving of that chair. He signed up: "Ninety-one after life from now on he will be a Buddha." So there is an explanation as follows:
XX.
At that time I was a Dragon King named Atula, who had unrivaled magical power, who created a lot of merit, who brought light.
When we reached the most important person in this world, who was playing the gods instruments, then around him (the Buddha) were countless Dragon Kings.
After going to see Vipassin. The Chief of the Enlightenment is the world leader and when he invited him, I gave the dharma king a chair made of gold, encrusted with jewels and jewels and made beautiful with all kinds of jewels.
When he was still seated in the midst of the Sangha monks, the Buddha had also signed for me as follows: "Ninety-one of the lifetimes from this person will become a Buddha."
Having left Kapila, he will become a Tathagata. When he was determined to make strenuous austerities and to perform the austerities.
After sitting under the Ajapāla tree and receiving a milk meal there, the Tathagata will set out for Nerañjarā.[34]
And the Victory will have a meal of milk rice right on the banks of the Nerañjarā river and approach the Bodhi tree by the path of glory has been prepared.
Then, going around that legion, surpassing the most famous ones, he will attain Right Aspiration right under the Assattha tree.
His mother will be named Mayā, his father, Suddhodana; he will be called Gautama Buddha.
241 ] 19. Kolita and Upatissa, who are glass of greed, calm will become the two supreme men of his writing.
20. A man named nanda will be the attendant for this Victory,[35] Khemā and Uppalavaṇṇ are the two supreme female writers of his writing.
Infinite smuggling, greed, peace of mind and samadhi are his special gifts. The Bodhi tree of Buddha is the Assattha tree. "[36]
When we have heard his voice saying so, we are increasingly determining the disposition in the mind. I have decided to practice more to complete the ten paramitas.
10. In this case,  merit  means having merit and merit.[37] The meaning here is: accumulate merit, be collected piled up.
10.  Light bearer  means equipped with bright light.
11.  With countless Nagas,  it means with Nagas[38] There are countless numbers. Possessing the way here is to be understood in the sense of using the way.
11.  being surrounded  means surrounding the Buddha.
11.   refer to that person.
11.  playing  means emitting a sound, plucking (instruments, instruments)
12.  Be careful with gems and gems. That means arranging, arranging with gems and so on and so on.
12. Be  beautiful with all kinds of jewelry. Means being beautiful with jewels made of precious jewels on the chair, with the way of staging[39] agarwood etc ...
12.  A chair made of gold  means a chair made of gold.
12.  I have given, it  means I have given.[40]
And the name of the city of Vipassin Buddha is Bandhumati, the father of Buddha To is Bandhumā and his mother is Bandhumati; Khaṇḍa and Tissa are the supreme men of his writer, the attendant for him named Asoka, Canda and Candamitta are his two female superior writers. His Bodhi tree is called P ā tali. His body is eighty cubit tall. The light that shines on his body shines continuously for about seven weeks (yojana), his life span being eight thousand years. His wife's name is Sutanū. His son's name is Samavattakkhandha; he ordained in a horse-drawn carriage, so he explained the following:
XX.
Bandhumatī is the name of his city. Bandhumā is the name of the Noble Clients, and Bandhumatī is the name of Vipassin's mother, a great sage.
242 ] 28. Khanda and Tissa are the two supreme male writers of his writing. Asoka is the name of Vipassin's attendant. The Great Sage Triet
29. Candā and Candmittā are the two supreme female writers of his writing. The Bodhi Tree of the Buddha Patriarch is the tree that is said to be Pṭal.
31. Vipassin, a world leader with a body height of eighty cubit. The radiance around him radiates to seven weeks (yojana).
32. The life span of that Buddha reached eighty thousand years. Living so long, he made many people overcome the confession.
33. He was freed from the bluffs to know how many gods and sentient beings[41]And for many ordinary people he outlined to them what is the Chief Justice and what is evil.
34. When he shined and interpreted the status quo of immortality, he illuminated like a fire and passed away with his disciples.
35. The power of his miraculous glory plus the glorious merits and generals who are bearing fruit[42] is completely gone. Isn't the entire practice empty?
33. In this case,  getting rid of the blunders  means that he has liberated the gods as well as sentient beings from the fetters, means you have illuminated them.[43]
33.  And he pointed out  that the right path is the wrong path, that is, he says, "This is the path to immortality. Right path is the middle path that is free from the ants and common knowledge. This path is not for bodily fatigue, etc. ”The meaning here is:  He has shown the reassurance of ordinary people.
34.  When he has radiated the light  means: when he has shown light on the Holy Path.
35.  And the generals are in full bloom,  which means that the Buddha's body is decorated and blooming with wheel generals, etc.
All that was left in the shelves was clear.
This concludes the Annotation of the Annals of the Vipassin Buddha.
