XIV. Annotation of the Buddha PIYADASSIN.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
And following the Buddha Sujāta, a hundred thousand lifetimes ago, there were three Buddha appearances: Piyadassin, Dhammadassin and Atthadassin and all three were reborn in the same great life.
And following the Buddha Sujāta, a hundred thousand lifetimes ago, there were three Buddha appearances: Piyadassin, Dhammadassin and Atthadassin and all three were reborn in the same great life.[342] In this case, after having completed the paramitas, the Guru whose name is Piyadassin was reborn in the Tushita Heaven. Having passed away from that realm, he descended into the rebirth of Empress Candā in the city of Sudhaññavat.[343] The queen's is like the moon (canda). She is the regent wife of King Sudassana. After ten months in the mother's womb, the queen gave birth to him right in the entertainment district of Varuṇa. Because many precious things for the world had appeared, on the day of naming the relative, he simply named him Piyadassin (He saw the dear things). about nine thousand years. It is said that he has three castles named Sunimmala[344] Vimala. Giribrah[345]Up to thirty-three thousand women servants He has Queen Vimalā leader.
Witnessed the four phenomena and prince Kañcana[346] born by Empress Vimalā, he was ordained in a great ordination on a horse-drawn carriage. And he left. About ten million people also renounced his example. Surrounded by a large crowd of followers, he decided to conduct an ascetic struggle within six months and on the full moon day of Visakha he received sweet milk rice offered by the Brahmin's daughter, Vasabha. worshiping him in the village of Varuṇ. He spent a temporary day in the forest of Sāla. Received eight bundles of hay by Sujāta, a hermit who could offer him. He went to the Bodhi Kakudha tree and spread those fists on a fifty-cubit-wide clearing. Sitting in meditation, he realized the omniscient mind and uttered a solemn statement. After spending those seven weeks in the forest and knowing that the ordained beings who followed his example were also able to grasp the Dharma. He flew into the air and landed in the Usabhavana entertainment district near the city of Usabhavatī.[347] Surrounded by ten million of the Bhikkhu khưu he Zhuan Falun there, then took place a thorough understanding of the Fa for about one hundred thousand ten million beings. This is the first insight.
[209] Also, there is a celestial ruler named Sudassana who resides on Mount Sudassana not far from the city of Subhavatī. He advocated wrong views. Every year the people in the South of Jambudpa had to collect hundreds of thousands of offerings to offer him. The sultan Sudassana was sitting on the same chair as the king of beings in the world, receiving offerings from the people. Then Sudassana Buddha contemplated, "I will drive away the wrong views of that Sudassana God", and he went into the home of the God-owner while he was out to gather the Yakkas, up. palanquin palanquin, he emitted a six-color aura, then sat down like the autumn sun on Mount Yugandhara. The gods are disciples and assistants of the celestial master prostrate in respect to the Tathagata Cross Force with wreaths, perfume and high medicine and stand around him. Then the god Sudassana returned after having gathered the tusks and saw the six-colored aura radiating from his residence, he thought. “Right now, a glorious look as if a bright light has a lot of aura emitting, this has never appeared before, who brought the body here? - gods or commoners here? " Looking around him, he realized that the Buddha Patriarch was meditating and shining with the glow of a six-color aura like the autumn sun rising atop a mountain. He thought. "The bald monk sitting on the palanquin surrounded is my entourage." His mind raged and he thought, "Indeed, now it is my turn to show his strength to him." And he turned the whole mountain into a terrible fire. Who led the body here? - gods or commoners here? " But when he gave up the water, looked around, he saw the Buddha sitting around was his own disciples, he Shining brightly with so many aura shining like the autumn full moon. penetrating the crevices of dark clouds. Unable to control his anger, he thought, "Come on, I'll kill the Sa Mon." And then in anger he let down a rain of nine weapons.[352] But thanks to the majesty of the Buddha, all weapons turned into wreaths of all kinds of extremely sweet, refreshing flavors falling right at the foot of the Tathagata Crossing.
When Sudassana, the celestial master saw that strange thing, he became extremely angry, with both of his hands grasping the Buddha's feet and wanted to throw him out of his residence. He jumped away[353] and disappeared and when he crossed the ocean he came to the mountain in Cakkavāḷa. The celestial master thought in his heart, "Now, do not understand that bastard hermit alive or dead?" Looking around him again, he was still meditating on the same palanquin and he thought, "Oh, this monk has such mighty mighty power, I cannot banish him from this place; If anyone knows this, we will be abandoned by the people.
210 ] But since no one has witnessed this, we can leave and leave him here. ”
Then, contemplating the state of mind of the celestial master, the Tathagata Tathagata was determined to make all beings and devas see that sly king. The continent had gathered to offer him an offering. These human kings saw the Sudassana God sitting there hugging the feet of the Buddha, the kings of beings immediately thought. “Our celestial master is revered at the feet of Guru Piyadassin, the king of sages. Oh how wonderful Buddha is. Oh, your special gifts are very special. ” And with hearts full of trust in the Buddha, these kings all stood up to pay homage to the Buddha, raising their hands above their heads. So Buddha Piyadassin, let the Heavenly God Sudassana sit right in front of everyone, and interpret the Dharma. Then there were about ninety thousand and fifty million including the gods as well as humans who attained Arahantship. This is the second insight into the Fa conference.
Also, in the city of Kumuda, which is about nine weeks wide (yojana), the Elder Soṇa, like Devadatta, proved unfriendly to the Buddha, they consulted with Prince Mahāpaduma together, as The prince killed his father, and even thought of ways to kill the Buddha Piyadassin.[354] But because he could not do that, the prince sent the ruler of Doṇamukha, the king of the royal elephants. The prince sent and flirted with him, explaining the matter to him: “Now, when the Monk Piyadassin enters the alms city, release Doṇamukha elephant, king of elephants, and let Doṇamukha elephants kill the hidden one. Dr. Piyadassin "Then the ruler, a man very close to the king, thought nothing of good and bad.[355] will happen, immediately consider. "It is very likely that this monk could cause us to lose my position.[356] And he agreed to say that. "OK"
The next day, after observing the time when the Tathagata Crossing 'entered the city, he caused the elephant[357] get drunk by feeding lots of oily food and smoke. He sent the most aggressive elephant in the team[358] named Ervaṇa,[359] to kill the glorious elephant, the sage's elephant. While still wandering here and there, the aggressive elephant approached and frightened Antaka.[360] Forehead elephant[361] and the frontal lobes are beautifully decorated. Flanks[362] sloping and curved like a crossbow, large ears spread, gentle brown eyes, back and shoulders[363] Very beautifully decorated, the waist is very thick, what is hidden between the massive knees, two very beautiful tusks look exactly like two plowshares. The tail is dark green, the elephant has all the elegant features to admire. Like the immense ocean boundless, the fall of an elephant is like the lord of the forest, very flexible and powerful. Both upper and lower lips are moving. The elephant is extremely stable, and appears very energetic in every situation.
Then the glorious elephant[364] as if in a fit of aggression, having killed many elephants as well as wild buffaloes, horses and even sentient beings of men and women. Its body seemed to be tinged with the blood of those victims,[365] his eyes revealed a dazzling inner light, having smashed car frames, windows of pointed tower houses, entrances and gardens. Wander here and there are hungry crows, hawks and vultures chasing. When breaking the limbs of buffaloes, people, horses and elephants[366] another, that elephant killed the victims, put it in its mouth and devoured it like a Yaksa. At that moment, he saw the Tathagata Tathagata appear from afar, approaching, surrounded by a group of followers and the elephant quickly approached to see the Buddha. At the speed of a phoenix flying in the air. Then the residents of their inner city filled with fear and panic climbed to the tall buildings, the walls and the walls.[367] and climbed all the way up to the tall tree and saw the elephant speeding[368] towards the Tathagata emanating a terrible cry, "a ha, a ha"
211 ] But a few followers followed and began to test the elephant with various methods and methods.
Then the Dragon Statue (elephant = naga), saw the naga elephant[369] while it approached him, peace of mind radiated a compassion, enveloping the elephant with compassion. So that naga elephant, knowing his weakness of anger, the causes of anger in his heart were calmed with kindness that had spread to him. Unable to stand before the Buddha due to shame the elephant immediately bowed to the Buddha's feet as if burrowing into the ground. And while it was prostrating on the ground like that, its entire body turned into a pitch black mass and shone like a broken sea near a glorious mountain peak gleaming in the evening light. See the elephant elephant[370] lying down like that with a surrender at the feet of a sage king, a resident of the city, he cried out like a lion. "Hooray" their hearts filled with the most wonderful bliss. They worshiped him in various ways with fragrant wreaths, with woody designs, fragrances, fragrant powders and many precious jewels. They waved their clothes around. In the sky, the drums of the gods are echoing. Then the Buddha saw the glorious elephant[371] lying prostrated at his feet like an un bound mountain. After patting the glorious elephant's head[372] with his hands adorned with spurs, banners, nets, chank. The wheel, he taught the elephants by preaching the Dharma concerning the docile characteristic of the heart:
Listen to what I have said about the glorious elephant and listen to my words of concern for the happiness and prosperity of sentient beings. Then abandon the plundering and the habit of killing and killing, attaining peace, giving what is pleasure.
85
King of statues. often harming sentient beings due to their greed and anger or delusion because of their long experiences, terrible suffering in hell (Niraya) for killing.
86
Never do such a thing again, my god,[373] due to recklessness or falsehood Because performing the killing we only receive the suffering in A Pi (Avīci) hell that lasts for many lifetimes.
87
After having endured terrible misery in hell (Niraya), if he were to be reborn in this human realm, he would continue to live only a short, ungainly, sadistic life, who is must be involved in extreme suffering.[374]
88
And because sentient beings are extremely beloved people, that's why the lord of the naga (elephant) knows so well that the masses are precious to others. involvement in must alienate.
89
212 ] After realizing there are many things in anger and addiction to harm others as well as refrain from killing. (then) abstaining from killing, you may wish[375] Hậu happy tomorrow in heaven.
90
Refrain from killing, tame well. We will become loved and loved in this world, and after this body has disappeared the Buddha taught to dwell in heaven.
91
No one in this world wants to suffer. However, all people are born looking for happiness. Therefore, the great elephant, after having given up killing, will practice from the mind and compassion forever.
92
Then after the glorious elephant, taught by the Tathagata Cross Force, has achieved restraint.[376] Animals become like disciples who learn discipline and virtue and are well trained. That is why the Buddha Piyadassin, after having tamed the glorious elephant Doṇamukha, he preached the Dharma there to the masses, just like our Buddha after tamed Dhanapāla. After that a thorough investigation of the Fa for eighty hundred thousand and ten million beings took place. This is the third insight into the dharma. So there's a saying about this:
XIV. 1. Following Sujāta, he saw the appearance of Piyadassin, a worldly leader, a self-existing being, hardly able to attack anyone, with unintentional talent and great fame.
2. And that Buddha became famous like the sun, destroying all the darkness, he turned Zhuan Falun.
And where he radiated an infinite light source, there were three penetrations of the Fa conference. The first insight for about one hundred thousand and ten million people.
Sudassana, the Heavenly Father, has acquired wrong views. After having dispelled all wrong views for Sudassana, the Master explained the Dharma to that king.
Then there was an assembly of great and infinite great names gathered; the second Fa conference was held for about ninety thousand and ten million people.
When the rank of King Zhuge Wang tamed Doṇamukha, a third round of Dharma comprehension took place for about ten million eighty thousand people.[377]
In the city of Suma thànhgala the son of a king named Pālita and the son of a monk named Sabbadassin, the two children had been friends with each other since childhood. Heard the Chief of the Enlightenment, Piyadassin visited the city. While he was still on a journey, the two came to him with an entourage of about ten million one hundred thousand people. When the two boys heard the Dharma of the Buddha Buddha
213 ] and held a seven-day grand allegation, the two men were ordained on Saturday with more than ten million one hundred thousand at the end of the meal blessing. Both have attained Arahantship. Buddha recited the Precepts between them. This is the first Sangha. After some time at a gathering for Sudassana, the Heavenly Father, 10,090,000 people attained Arahantship, they surrounded the Guru and he chanted the Precepts. This is the second Sangha. Also, 10,080,000 people also ordained on the occasion of his domestication of the elephant Doṇamukha and attained Arahantship. The Buddha Patriarch chanted Precepts right between them. This is the third Sangha. Therefore it is said that:
XIV 7. And Buddha Piyadassin gathered the Sangha. The first sangha gathered about 10,100,000 people.
8. After that there were 10,090,000 sage gathered together. The third Sangha consisted of 10,080,000 people.
At that time our Bodhisattva was a Brahmin youth named Kassapa; he was fluent in the three Phe Da with the legendary tradition of the fifth Phue Da. When he heard the teachings of the Guru, by sacrificing an amount of 10,100,000,000 gold coins, he built a lovely monastery for the Sangha, and established his refuge and five. gender. Then the guru signed on the Bodhisattva, "1800 after life from this moment you will become a Buddha whose name is Gautama." Therefore it is said that:
XIV
9. At that time I was only a young man[378] Brahmins named Kassapa. one who recited, was a mantra expert, adept at all three Phe Da[379].
When we have heard his Dharma he has established a belief. With more than 10,100,000 gold coins we have built a park for the Sangha.
After giving to the park Piyadassin Buddha, we feel joy and excitement in the mind, we take Refuge and take the five precepts that make us strong in those precepts.
And even Buddha[380] there too when he sat in the middle of the sangha, signed him as follows, "After 1800 more lives he will become a Buddha.
When he decided to make an ascetic struggle .... ”“. / ... we will face this person. ”
The more we listen to these words, the more we are inclined to resolve. I insist on continuing to cultivate more to complete the ten paramitas.
214 ] And that Buddha's city was called Sudhañña, his father's king was Sudatta, his mother was the queen in the palace called Sucandā. Paladita and Sabbadassin are the supreme male of his writing. The attendant for him named Sobhita, Sujātā and Dhammadinnā were his two female superior writers. His Bodhi tree is the Kakudha tree. He was eighty cubit tall, and his life span was ninety thousand years. Vīmalā is the name of his main wife, his son's name is Kañcanvela. He ordained in a carriage pulled by a royal thoroughbred horse. Therefore it is said that:
XIV.
Sudhañña is the city name,[381] Sudatta[382] is the name of the Noble Sins, and Sucandā[383] is the name of Buddha's mother Piyadassin, the master.
Pālita and Sabbadassin are the two supernatural writings, Sobhita is the name of the attendant for the Buddha Pyadassin, the master.
Sujātā and Dhammadinnā are his two female superior writers. Bodhi tree of that Buddha is the great tree Kakudha[384].
And that very famous Buddha had thirty-two good generals. Eighty cubit tall, he looked like a king Sāla tree.
There is no beam of fire, moon, or sun that can match the aura of the great hermit and nothing.
24. His life span lasts ninety thousand years.
But that wise Buddha, and those unmatched pairs have also disappeared. Isn't all of the dharmas empty?
11. In this case  the places of refuge and uphold the five precepts:  the meaning here is: the Three Precepts and the Five Precepts.[385]
12.  1800 lifetimes  means up to 1800 life cycles from here.
23.  Like the tree S ā la emperor. It means that he appears like a king of Sāla trees with tree trunks[386] round and balanced, looking at the tree is a great pleasure. When flowering buds bloom.
23.  And those pairs  mean those pairs are your supreme male novels and so on.[387]
All that is left in the above shelves is considered to be too obvious.
This concludes the Annotated Chronicle of the Buddha's History Piyadassi.
