Can gargling or drinking hot liquids help prevent the coronavirus?

ANSWER
Gargling or drinking hot tea will not kill the COVID-19 virus. Once the virus enters your mouth from droplets in the air or from your fingers, you can’t prevent it from reaching your lungs. Claims that the virus sits in your throat for a while and could be rinsed out with gargling or flushed out with a hot fluid are false.
The best protection at this point is not being exposed. Don’t let other people’s respiratory droplets reach you! Honor social distancing recommendations. Stay away from gatherings of more than 10 people. And if you have to be around people, keep a 6 foot distance to protect each other. Wash your hands for 20 seconds regularly or use a hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol regularly. Disinfect surfaces daily.
Also, take care of yourself to maintain your immunity so your body can fight the virus should you come in contact with it. Make sure you’re eating healthy, nutritious foods. Avoid junk food and sugary drinks. Keep exercising.END=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.2/4/2020.
