Whose fate is it?VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

Taking refuge in Buddha is to live by Buddha himself. Whoever lives with his Buddha nature, he can decide for himself his own life.

People who don't have transparent intelligence are very easy to believe in life -

Since ancient times, when people were still in the dark, their understanding of the world and people was very limited, so they often believed in gods, certain supreme beings specializing in blessing, disaster, and decision making. their lives, their lives. Even up to now, many people believe that they themselves have a predetermined number of lives, evidenced by the fact that many people go to fortune telling, chess, and numbers, in one form or another, partly out of curiosity. , the other part is because of believing in fate.

When Buddha was still alive, many people believed in the theory of fate. First, they believe that all human life and behaviors are predestined to life, that is, what we do, how we live, whether we have a family or not, whether we are beautiful or ugly, happy or suffering is due to fate. Fate governs and determines our entire physical and spiritual life. Just like her grandparents in the past used to say, "The wettest wetland is not predestined", meaning a piece of rice, a mouthful of water is also determined by heaven. Second, they believe that all human behavior, life, wealth or poverty, suffering or luck are all created by a God. There are still many who believe in God creating man and the world. Most people still believe that our lives are predestined and cannot be changed, so we are born depressed, lose our will, not try to rise up,

In the Central Sutta, the Buddha pointed out the reason why we believe in fate and destiny. Is that belief true or false? How to look at the network number properly? Accordingly, this belief stems from many different causes. Buddhist practitioners believe in cause and effect, the theory of fate is directly related to the problem of cause and effect. People who don't have transparent intelligence are easy to believe in.

Most of us still live in slavery for our karma, so the theory of our lives still fits to some degree. Like many people say: in the past, he / she was doing a lot of blessing, so now he / she has a lot of benefits, no need to try to practice at all, because he created a good cause and good karma in the past, so live in bliss.

People with limited visions, not pure mind observing thoroughly, seeing that some people also do good deeds, cultivate the mind, and live very miserable lives, so it is considered unfair. If anyone who looks through it will know, in the past he has done many evil deeds, the present good deeds are not enough to change, to make up for the bad things he has done. Human unwholesome in the past bear fruit. Those who understand the cause and effect, see the cause and effect in each person, different times, have faster and slower, and see more effects, then understand cause and effect completely never wrong. Not far away, people can imagine from cause-to-effect as the fruit tree planting could not be harvested overnight. Or like planting timber trees for up to several decades, maybe up to hundred years without harvesting the wood.

Each person should observe cause and effect, karma in oneself, that will see this most clearly, it is difficult to deviate. We Buddhists are of the faith-based class, cultivating based on belief, not having a sense-base or base-sense, so we cannot see the Four Noble Truths clearly, everything is clear. We are trustworthy, not intelligent enough to believe in the Buddha Dharma and even things close to the Buddha Dharma, including our destiny. When we study the Buddha, the most important thing is to realize that it is really thorough, transparent, clear, fully aware of our path, which is the righteous path, which is not the righteous way to live better, Avoid believing in the wrong things.

There are Buddhists who wonder, "I go to the temple, my friend thinks that I am a superstition," in your opinion, is that right? People who believe in Buddha Dharma, come to the temple to listen to Dharma every day, recite sutras, pray, recite the Three Jewels, do good deeds, save sentient beings, follow the Buddha's teachings, have the wisdom to see everything clearly. true, not mistaken ... is it considered superstition? Many people believe that money can solve everything, having money will lead a peaceful and happy life. But when you have a lot of money and still do not feel happy, happy, have not seen enough, that is superstition.

Buddha affirmed, only intellectual property: take wisdom as the final goal, cut off afflictions, where there is wisdom there is liberation, joy, peace, tranquility, harmony. People learning Buddha do not believe in life but must believe in merit and wisdom. The ultimate goal of man is merit and wisdom. Where is Phuoc Duc? All is our daily spiritual practice, productive working hours, bringing happiness and happiness to ourselves and everyone, all sentient beings. The grandparents used to say: Blessed, virtue can be enjoyed. Those who are less blessed have suffering, those who are blessed with perfection have no suffering. A Buddha is a perfectionist of virtue and wisdom. In order for life to be valuable, one must use wisdom and merit as a goal of life, so that life can be valuable and meaningful.

If we live with Buddha nature, everyone around us is like Buddha

Because many people believe in the theory of fate, Buddha pointed out the cause of the world formation for everyone to understand. Man is not created by a divine being, he is not entirely destined by destiny; people have the ability to control their lives, change their lives, not be slaves to their lives, their karma. The Buddha is a person who is purely effortless, sees the truth, is free from bondage, samsara, suffering. We try to cultivate according to the teachings of the Buddha, to be able to control life. Thus it is possible to conclude: There is no one god, no god, who determines our fate, blesses, or catastrophes us.

The Buddha pointed out that people and this world are formed because of the six things that come together: earth, water, fire, wind, no, consciousness. Because of this, the other gives birth, due to the loss, the other will lose, not by the creator how. The process of creating man is not outside the rule of that predestination: Earth (skin, flesh, bones), water (blood), wind (breath, gas), fire (warmth, heat), no (distance between this and that), awakening (consciousness, spiritual life) is predestined to be in harmony, all conditions are dispersed. Understanding this, we know how to make decisions, take control of our lives, not the theory of fate at all. Is it wonderful to ask, if we control our own lives? When we were not free, we felt uncomfortable, constrained, pressing, let alone we were enslaved to our lives, is not smart enough to see this clearly. How do we know the number of lives and how to master them? Please tell the following story:

"A small novice came to join a monk at the mountain, who was an Arahant, seeing clearly life and death. Seeing the uncle due to his unwholesome predestined relationship, he had a very short life, so told him to visit his relatives and come back. On the way home, when passing through the stream, he saw that the rising water was about to wash away the ants, and he searched for a dry stick to save the ants, which was very natural. But when he returned to the temple, the teacher was surprised to see that the little boy had a long-lasting general. New or, saving the ants in the stream where the merit of growth can change life span.

What do we see from the above story? Changing the number of lives is very simple, starting with small daily actions, like the little uncle in the story can change the life span from short-lived to longevity. Many small jobs will contribute to a big job, which can save thousands of sentient beings from disease, suffering, and attain immeasurable merit.

Buddhists take refuge in the Three Jewels, daily working hard to worship the Buddha, chanting, doing good deeds and helping others. So we are gradually transforming our own karma. Our arrangement of practice time is an intellectual choice. Because that choice gives us the path of peaceful happiness, gradually free from suffering, until enlightenment. It means we follow the path of the Buddha. We are laying each brick, building a solid foundation for our own intellectual merit building. It can be asserted that the only way is the most valuable one.

Buddhist practitioners need to observe clearly to understand that the dharma we are following is learning, helping to expand knowledge, but learning alone is not enough, does not help us happily happy right away. We know we are making others angry, angry, and upset, but we still do it, because our ability to control words, to control our thoughts and actions is not good. This is the study of law, is the first law. The second stage is the practice, we live with it, which is important. For example, to recite the true Buddha is to live with Buddha in our mind, to live with Buddha nature. In our daily lives, we live with compassion, sharing suffering with people, using compassion facing everything. Whenever we come in contact with any person, any work, we take the example of the Buddha, live according to the Buddha, that is called reciting Buddha's name, thinking, Remember with the mind of Buddha. All sentient beings can become Buddhas, thus reciting the Buddha's name sincerely.

If we live with Buddha nature, everyone around us is like Buddha. Buddhists currently live only a few parts of Buddha, many parts of ordinary people. Every day we recite: Namo Amitabha Buddha, which is not called genuine Buddha's recitation but confession of Buddha, a means for us to remember Buddha. Taking refuge in Buddha is to live by Buddha himself. Whoever can live with his Buddha nature, he can decide for himself his own life. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.11/3/2020.
