DEADLY HAD THEIR DEATH.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.
LIVING NETWORK - DEATH IS SURE SURE.
It is the famous maxim in Buddhism. Knowing the dead is certain and a natural phenomenon that everyone must face, we should not be afraid to die. Instinctively, we're all afraid of dying because we don't know how to avoid it. We like clinging to our lives and our bodies, so we become full of greed and attachment.
A baby born brings joy and happiness to loved ones. Although the mother was in extreme pain at the time of birth, she was still happy and excited to watch her newborn baby. The mother feels well deserved after many painful hardships. However, the child born to cry seemed to say it wanted to say he also suffered the suffering of human life. The child becomes a teenager and then matures, creating all kinds of good and bad behaviors. Then it became old, and eventually retired from this life, leaving friends and relatives grieving: That is the nature of a person's life. Humans try to avoid the clutches of death, but no one can escape. By the time he was about to die, his mind was reminded of the accumulated wealth, and excessive fear of his beloved children. Last, but not least, people worry too much about their precious body; Although with thoughtful and careful care, it has now weakened, exhausted and disintegrated. It is painful to leave the body. Can't stand it but can't avoid it. It is the mood of people to leave this world with wailing. The pain of death is terrible, that's the attitude of someone who is stupid.
SCARED TO DEATH
People are worried not because of the external situation but because of hope and imagination about their future life. The dead, for example, is not terribly terrifying and terrifying or terrifying just by our own imagination. We often do not have the courage to confront the idea of death. For those who do not dare to confront reality, suffering is truly terrible and unacceptable. But if we can cope with the truth, it will alleviate or eliminate the horrors of fear. Life is like a bullet rushing towards the target, that is death. Understanding that, we must be brave to face this natural phenomenon. In order to be free in life, we must not be afraid to die. Fear comes only to those who do not understand the laws of nature. "Wherever you are, if you have a start, Let us not be afraid and imagine or prophesy about horrors that never come to find a way to fight back. A famous physician, Sir William Osler, said: "In my experience, I see that most people die without pain and fear." Let us not be afraid and imagine or prophesy about horrors that never come to find a way to fight back. A famous physician, Sir William Osler, said: "In my experience, I see that most people die without pain and fear."
An elderly female nurse said: "It seems that the biggest tragedy for everyone is a lifetime of obsession with fear of death. When death comes, we find that it is just as natural as the nature of life. died then lived a lifetime. In my experience, I only saw one person who seemed scared - a woman who had done a bad thing to her sister was too late to repent. "
"A strange and beautiful thing will come to men or women when they have lived all their lives. All fear, terror will disappear. I often see the ray of happy dawn in the eyes of them when they realize it's right. That's all the grace of the Creator ".
Because of greed, fear of death is unnaturally formed. It creates anxiety in life. Therefore, people will never risk doing anything even if it is right. They live in fear, worry about illnesses and accidents that could result in the loss of their precious lives. Realizing that death is inevitable, those who love the earthly life will immerse themselves in prayer with the hope that their souls will go to heaven. No one is happy amidst the whirlwind of fear and hope. It is true that it is hard to disregard or ignore the natural outbursts of instinct for self-protection. However, there is a method to overcome fear. Forget the concept of `I`; putting outward self-sacrificing love means benefiting humanity and showing love to others. Anyone who does not forget the fact that one day he will die and an inevitable death, will energetically fulfill his duty to his fellow humans before he dies, doing so is then like everyone else will certainly admire respect. Passionate about serving others, you will soon be free from heavy attachment, dream, arrogance, conceit, and pride.
DISEASE AND DEATH
Sickness and death are a natural occurrence in our lives, and we must accept it with understanding. According to modern psychological theory, the cause of mental stress is due to not daring to face and accept the truth in life. Failure to overcome or overcome the stress will cause illness. While illness, being too worried or disappointed only makes the disease worse. For those who have pure hearts and actions, death is nothing to be afraid of. Our lives consist of the mind and the body constituted and therefore the mind and the body do not die separately. The karmic retribution caused by our bad actions in our previous life follows us at the time of rebirth, causing us to suffer in this life. Such suffering can be avoided if we try to create merit, live a virtuous life, and take good actions anywhere or anytime. By doing so, we can face death with courage and reality. According to the Buddha's teaching, we should not trust in a "savior" who can bear the burden, and save us from the consequences of our wrong actions. We always remember the advice of the Buddha: "Believe in yourself to save yourself, work hard and be diligent." Buddhists are not sad and tragic at the death of relatives and friends. what can stop the wheel of cause and effect, when a person dies, the karma created by them will follow them to a new life, acquaintances, relatives, friends and relatives can only see off the dead only while the dead carry their good or bad deeds. Those who are still alive should suffer the loss of calm and understanding. Death is an inevitable process in this world. That is a certainty in this universe. A forest can become an urban and an urban can become a sand beach. Mountains can turn into lakes. Distortion can occur everywhere only death is constant. Everything is just temporary. We have our fathers, and our fathers also have fathers, but where are they now? All are too old. and our fathers also have fathers, but where are they now? All are too old. and our fathers also have fathers, but where are they now? All are too old.
Do not listen to the sophistication that we are presenting a pessimistic notion. That is the most realistic view of realism. Why are we unrealistic and blinded by these factual events? Does death burn everything? Right! But do not forget this: Death makes people understand their destiny no matter how luxurious, or advanced technology and medicine, death is the same: Either in the coffin or back into a handful of ashes. Life and death are an ongoing process until we become perfect.
LIST OF FRIENDLY
Buddha taught: "The human body, although ash, but their reputation is still". The effects of previous lives are sometimes far more profound and powerful than those of living bodies with limited abilities. Sometimes we feel and act according to the thoughts of those whose bodies become ash. That thought is very important in our every action. Every living person is part of the body of a deceased ancestor. In this sense, we can assume that the heroes of the times, great philosophers, sages, poets and musicians of every nation are living with us. Because we relate to the martyrs and thinkers of the past, we can share wisdom ideas, noble ideals, and even eternal music through the ages. Even though that body dies, But their influence still remains. The body is nothing, it's just an abstract synthesis, an ever-changing mixture of chemical components. Man must understand that his life is like a drop of water in a flowing river and should be happy to contribute his part to the river of life.
Without understanding the nature of life, people will be immersed in the muddy puddles of the world and groan. But when he understands his true nature, he will renounce all the transient and seek the Eternal state. Before reaching the Eternal state, people have to face death after death. Since death does not make sense, one should not prevent the continual continuation of the cycle of birth and death.
According to Buddhism, there is no first and last life in our world. If you do good with trust, you will have a better afterlife. On the other hand, if you feel that you don't want to be reborn forever, and want to go to that end, you must try to develop your mind, eliminate all craving and mental impurity.
Buddhist philosophy
A noble Saint has reached perfection without crying when his relatives and close ones died because he completely cleansed all emotions. Arahant, an Arhat, did not mourn when Buddha passed away. However, Ananda at that time was only a Tu Da Hoan who achieved the first result of the saints, could not help crying. Monks mourn to remember the Buddha's view of circumstances of such nature:
"Mr. Ananda! Did the Buddha teach us that what is born, what exists and what conditions It is the nature of interdependence. When predestination appears and then loses - there is a city, there is corruption - And when those conditions cease, President Pure Land money show ".
The above teachings describe the structural foundation of Buddhist Philosophy.
THE CAUSE OF PAIN
The cause of sorrow and suffering is due to attachment to all forms. If we want to avoid suffering, we must abandon attachment - not just attachment to people but attachment to wealth as well. That is the basic truth, the lesson that death teaches us. Lust gives us many things to satisfy our emotions, and leads us on the mundane path. But eventually attachment becomes the cause of suffering. Without learning this, death can strike us and persecute us. This event was clearly enlightened by the Buddha. He taught: "Death will take people away even though they try to cling to their children and possessions, like a great flood sweeping away a sleeping village."
This teaching implies that if the village is awake and alert, the devastation of flooding can be avoided.
WHO ALSO MUST DIE
Let's study the Buddha to solve problems for two people, because of love, death makes suffering. One is Mrs. Kisagatomi. Her only son was bitten to death by a snake. She carried her dead son to Buddha for help. The Buddha told her to bring to the Buddha a few mustard seeds of a family where no one died, the Buddha will cure them. But she could not find a family without the dead. All the families she came to, no home was not mourning or mourning the death of a loved one at some time. She understood the bitter truth: death is common. Death strikes everyone and leaves no one behind. Sadness is a legacy to everyone.
Another person taught by the Buddha is Patacara. Her case is more sad. In just a short time, she lost two children, her husband, brothers, parents and all possessions. Sad to insane, she was running wild like crazy on the streets until she met Buddha. The Buddha helped her return to normal by explaining to her that death is a natural phenomenon for everyone.
"I have suffered many times like this, not this time, Patacara; I have suffered many times in my past lives. For a long time, I suffered from the death of your father, mother, children and my relatives. When I suffer like that, my tears are more real than those in the sea. "
Finally, Patacara is aware of the impermanence of life. Patacara and Kisagotami understood suffering and both felt the suffering of death. By deeply understanding the First Noble Truth of the Four Noble Truths of "suffering" the other three Noble Truths are also understood. He said, "Bhikkhus, this is suffering, the cause of suffering, this is the cessation of suffering, and the path to the end of suffering."
YEAR OF CLEANING
Death is the disintegration of Aggregates. These aggregates are feeling, perception, action, consciousness, and materiality and matter. The first four groups belong to the spirit or nama, which form the unit of consciousness. The fifth group, rupa is matter or physical aggregates. The combination of that physical mind is by convention given to an individual, a person or self. So such individuals are not individuals but two basic constituents of mind and matter, which are rare phenomena. We do not regard the five aggregates as phenomena but as an entity because of our self-deceiving mind, our innate desire for the aforementioned things to be ours to satisfy the important Self. our.
We will see the true face of things if we are patient and have the will. If we turn inward and contemplate the depth of our mind and our mind, objectively consider and comment, without thinking of the ego for a while as the Buddha taught in the Sati Patthana Sutta, we will see The five aggregates, not an entity but a series of physical and mental processes. Then we are no longer mistaken for the outward appearance. We will see these five aggregates arising and disappearing rapidly and rapidly. They always change every minute, every second, never Static but Dynamic, never Entity but always Variables.
REBIRTH
The four aggregates or consciousness and the three groups of mental factors (feeling, perception, and action), forming the Nama or unit of consciousness, constantly changing, emerging and disappearing without the same pattern because of those patterns. also transformed. They must immediately re-establish a new natural foundation (Lust) - a layer of lush material as before - in order to operate harmonically. Karma acts as a law, and this law governs the arrangement of the five aggregates after death. The result is "rebirth".
FACTOR AND ENERGY
In short, the combination of the five aggregates is called birth and the existence of those aggregates is called life. Their disintegration is called death (death), and the recombination of these aggregates is called rebirth. However, it is not easy for an ordinary person to understand why those so-called aggregates can recombine. We need to understand the nature of the elements (the five aggregates), mental energy (or mental power), the law of karma, and the parallel of universal energy (Qi) is very important. Some people think that death is the disintegration of the five aggregates and after that, nothing exists. Some people believe that death means the transfer of a soul from one body to another; and for others, death is the permanent hold of a soul that waits for the Day of Judgment. But for Buddhists, Death is nothing but a temporary cessation of a temporary phenomenon. Death is not yet a complete destruction of the so-called beings.
CAUSE DEATH
According to Buddhism, Death occurs due to one of the four following causes:
I. Network based (or lifespan) of each species of all living beings. This death is the radical (Ayukkhaya)
II. The action of karma makes that life exhausted. This death is called Khamma-kkhaya (Karma)
III. The simultaneous termination of these two causes - Ubbayakkhaya.
IV. Finally, it may be due to external circumstances such as accidents, unexpected events, natural phenomena, or karma from previous lives not mentioned in article II. This death is called Upacchedake.
There is a very accurate analogy to explain the four deaths above: An oil lamp may be turned off for one of four reasons:
I. The wick in the lamp is all burned out. This is like dying of the time for that life.
II. That oil is shallow like that karma.
III. Oil and wicks were burned all at once like death due to both causes mentioned in I and II.
IV. The consequences of external factors such as the blowing of the wind make the lights go out - like death due to external causes.
So, Karma is not the only cause of death. There are external causes of death. The teachings of the Buddha clearly state that karma cannot explain all the things that happen in our lives.
FIRST TO THE FIXED
How can we best cope with these inevitable? So anticipating and thinking that death must come first. This does not mean that Buddhists think life is bleak. Death is a fact, and one must confront it - and Buddhism is a religion of reason that trains disciples to face facts, even though these facts are unsatisfying. Chief Nanak, enlightenment of Sikhism, said: "The world is afraid of death, for me, death brings joy". It is clear that great men and noble people are not afraid to die and ready to accept it. Many great men have sacrificed their lives to make others happy. Their names have been handed down on the world history gold table for posterity.
DEATH IS NOT AVOID
It is a paradox that we see death has taken so many lives of mankind but we rarely think of the idea that we too, before becoming victims of death. Because we are so attached to life, we don't want to bear weak thoughts, but the reality of death is an obvious fact. We want to end that awful thought and deceive ourselves that death is a distant thing, one that need not be worried. We must be brave enough to deal with the event. We must be ready to face this naked truth. Death is real. If we are so aware, and know that death is inevitable; Let us treat it as a normal rather than a scary event so that when it comes, we will confront it calmly, courageously and confidently.
DIVERSITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Knowing that someday death will take our lives, we must be calm, courageous, and confident in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities to our family. We should not hesitate to fulfill our responsibilities and responsibilities. What you can do today, don't leave until tomorrow. We should not waste time and live usefully. The duties of spouse and children in the priority line must be fulfilled in a timely manner. To avoid stress and difficulties for the family, we must not wait until the last minute to write a will. Death can come to us at any time - it leaves no one and does not wait. We should be courageous to face this ultimate event with hope and confidence that we are preparing for the next life.
Craving and ignorance
Can death be overcome? The answer is yes! There is death and birth. The continual continuation of birth is called reincarnation. If the cycle of life stops, death can end at the stage of Ignorance (Avijja) and Craving (Tanha) - That is the root of the cycle of birth and death to be destroyed. So, if we cut Ai and Ignorance, birth is conquered, death is conquered, samsara is transcendent, and Nirvana is present.
We must understand that everything in this universe is not real, and life is only an illusion. If we use science or philosophy to separate, we eventually discover that there is nothing but nothingness. Gandhi once said:
"Fear of dying is like fearing leaving an old shirt torn." Because of attachment, we suffer when we lose someone we love. This happened to Visakha, a devoted disciple in Buddha's time. When her beloved granddaughter died, she turned to the Buddha to ask the Buddha to rescue her from sorrow.
"Visakha, do you want to have as many children and grandchildren as the number of children in this city?" Buddha asked her.
- "Yes, white Buddha, of course I like it".
- "Visakha, if so, will you cry when they die? Those who have one hundred beloved things, those people have one hundred disturbing things. Those who have nothing dear, that person has no afflictions." Such a person is free from disturbing emotions ".
When we have attachment,
Greed sometimes makes people afraid of death. We do not dare to take risks even for a legitimate cause. We fear that illness or accident will end our seemingly precious life. Knowing that death is a matter of course, we hope and pray for our souls to go to Heaven so that our bodies and bodies may be in peace and security. Such belief stems from intense ambitions and wants to live a everlasting life.
Each person, every individual must know clearly the role of death which determines his destiny. Whether royal or popular, rich or poor, strong or weak, the final resting place of the human body is in the coffin buried six inches deep, or in the ashes of the ashes, or in the water.
All humanity must face and suffer the same fate. Because ignorance does not understand the nature of life, we often moan and cry. When we understand the nature of life, we can look straight into the impermanence of all conditions and find a way to liberation. If we do not escape the bondage of life, we will face death forever. In this regard, the role of death is clear. If people cannot bear death, then they must make every effort to overcome the cycle of birth and death.
CONCEPT OF THE DEATH
Why do we have to think about death? Why must we ponder it? The Buddha not only encouraged us to talk about death, he also advised us to ponder it and to think about it often. Already being born, there must be death. The mind and body are created during pregnancy, development, growth and maturity. In other words, they follow the aging process. First, we call that process growth, aging. In fact it is just a process of growth, development, maturity and ultimately inevitable death.
Today, according to world statistics, two hundred thousand (200,000) people die or about 70 million every year.
We are not used to contemplating death or mentioning it. What we often do is avoid thinking about death and living as if we never die. As long as we are afraid of death, we never live the fullest and best life. So one of the main reasons for contemplating death is for us to be fully awake so as not to be afraid. Reflecting on death does not make us depressed or unhealthy, it is only to help us get rid of fear.
The second reason to ponder death will change our lifestyles and attitudes toward life. The values in life completely change once we don't think we live forever, we will start a different way of life.
The third reason is to be able to get used to dealing with death in a proper and peaceful way.
Contemplating death has three benefits:
- to reduce fear
- to bring new quality to life so that we can live life worthwhile and
- to help us die honorably.
These benefits help us to live honestly and to die with dignity.
Thinking about death, what else do we need?
Buddhism encourages reflection on the following factors:
- I live with my age, I do not worry about getting old;
- Illness is common sense, I do not think too much about it;
- I bear my Karma and I cannot escape Karma;
- Death is common sense I'm not too worried about death and
- All my cute and interesting things will change and leave me.
When we calmly contemplate these situations, and remain subconscious, it will have a powerful effect on overcoming fear, old age, illness, death, and separation. This is not to make us less healthy, but rather to help us get rid of fear. So why do we ponder death? It is not that we expect death to come but we do not want to live or die in fear.
DEATH IS PART OF LIFE
Death comes to all and is part of the cycle of life and death. The young die, the old die, and nobody dies. No one has invited us to this world, and no one has told us to say goodbye. I cannot avoid death, and everyone, every grass, every form, every being follows that path. Fall, fallen leaves. We do not cry because the end of the fall season is a natural thing. So does the death of man.
Those who are virtuous are less afraid of dying than lay people because they only want to live to satisfy their five senses.
According to the Buddhist concept, death is not the end, and birth is not the beginning. In fact, death is the beginning (a new life), and birth is the end (old life). Death is only part of the process of birth and death. If we understand the process, death does not terrify us because death is not the end. It is just the end of the cycle of birth and death, going from circle to circle, and so on and so forth as if the leaf is on the end of the branch. They enter the ground and feed the roots of the trees. Next year they have new leaves. Human life is the same. Death causes predestination for rebirth. Knowing that basic principle, we will ease fear.
LIVE consciously
We live crazy, not thinking how much time we spend on unproductive things. Today, we waste so much time worrying about next year's affairs, for the next 20 years, and worrying about the future that we won't live fully every day?
And the value in our lives will change. What life is important? What motivates us? What attracts us? If we truly reflect on death, we will revisit our worth. Lots of money, we can't take it with us. Our bodies must be left for burial in one way or another. Only left holding worthless bones. We cannot carry even our precious body with us when we leave this life.
The quality of life is more important than material acquisition. The quality of life first is the quality of our minds. How we live today is more important than many other things. Death is a condition for rebirth. The condition for rebirth is death and the quality of mind, which is unique that we carry. It is a legacy for us to inherit without leaving for others:
- I create karma, I have to receive karma.
- Karma produces me, I have to respect and bear it.
- Good karma or bad karma I create, I must bear all, therefore I am the heir.
What follows us is the virtues present in us: the qualities of the mind, the spirit, and the virtues of good or evil. That is all we inherit. That is the condition that determines our rebirth and our future. Those virtues in turn bring a value to our lives. We can rejoice in the millions we have earned but the more important thing is that we need to live peacefully and cultivate morality. This has a good effect on our lifestyle, and on the values we develop. It is not a question of success, but a question of how to succeed.
DEADLY DEATH
Having considered the above, if death is no longer a threat but a real experience, we can face it with confidence. Not only do we have to abide by the above, but many other actions are also needed to deserve to die. If we live honestly, we die easier. Whether we live happily or miserably, we must strive to die worthily. To cope with the death that must come, let us make efforts in developing virtue, without fear.
Some people are more afraid of death than fear of pain and separation from loved ones rather than other scary things. When a person is about to die, courage and reassurance should be offered. But first, I have to reassure myself. Of course, pain will be torture and unbearable. But today, thanks to medical advances, our pain is reduced before we die. Pain is no longer an inevitable fear.
I often reassure people who are about to die, as is the case for someone who cannot survive cancer: people do not have to be in pain because prompt treatment will reduce pain. The important result is that the patient is comfortable and dies gently.
Others worry about losing their possessions. But if they meditate on death, there's nothing to worry about. We understand that there is a way to melt. If a person who is about to die does not contemplate this, we need to graciously encourage and reassure them that the children and the remaining relatives will be cared for. Need to reassure them that everything will be fine, have friends to care for them, they need courageous encouragement to be comfortable, secure, and everything will be thoughtful.
The heart of this is to inspire the courage of the dying to make them reassured. How to die worthy? According to Buddhism, creating a peaceful atmosphere in the room of a person about to leave. There is no use in screaming, crying, and crying. What is more important for a dying person to die? Doing so, the dying person does not feel secure to leave. What is even better is that the friends and relatives present need to show by their presence that they care, love, and are willing to help the person who is about to leave.
"The religious symbol is very useful and handy at the moment. If the dying person is a Buddhist, a small Buddha image and the presence of monks with gentle prayers will be very helpful and help people." death has the highest peace and virtue. It is a wonderful thing to help people to leave, to find a new life in the best way "- (Venerable Ajahn Jagaro) DEADLY
DEATH
Everybody desires died peacefully after fulfilling his duties and duties during his lifetime. In fact, how many people have prepared for this death? For example, how many people have struggled to fulfill their duties with family, relatives, friends, country, religion and their own destiny? They won't leave peacefully when they fail to fulfill one of those tasks.
We must learn to overcome the fear of death, knowing that the spirits also suffer the same fate. Those who waste their time in vain will complain when they reach the end of the day.
When people see their life as just a drop of water in a long river, they will try to contribute, though very little, into that great stream of life. Wise people understand that wanting to live must find a way to liberate by avoiding sin, doing good, and purifying the mind. People who understand the life of the Buddha's teachings never worry about death. Death does not cause afflictions, but it will be sad if we die before we can do anything for ourselves or others.
TODAY I DEAD TODAY
David Morris was a Western Buddhist scholar who died at 85. Shortly after his death, the writer of this booklet received his letter (apparently he wrote this letter before and told it to be sent when he died). The letter was as follows: `` You will be happy to know that I am dead today. There were two reasons: First, he would be relieved to learn that my suffering from the illness had finally ended. The second thing, since I became a Buddhist, I have kept the five precepts honestly. As a result, he knew my next life would not suffer.` Life is like a dream. Death is a reality and rebirth is a natural occurrence. To face this event, one must continue or end the cycle of birth. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.25/3/2020.
- I live with my age, I do not worry about getting old;
- Illness is common sense, I do not think too much about it;
- I bear my Karma and I cannot escape Karma;
