“Buddhism advises us not to kill sentient beings for four reasons:
1. Respect for fairness. - We consider our life to be precious, an absolute treasure. If anyone conspires to be harmed, he or she is to defend against life completely. I already know that my body is precious, why do I want to trample my life? By extension, animals also appreciate their lives. Like a cow or a pig about to be hit on the head, throwing blood, we see their fierce resistance, their extreme pain, with screams, rows of escaping death! According to righteousness, that we do not want anyone to do for us, then we should not do for others, or other species. The Buddha said: "Everyone is afraid of the sword, everyone is afraid of death. So let your heart out, don't kill! Don't tell!"

So people with compassion or kindness do not dare to kill people or animals.
4. Avoid cause and effect retribution. - When we kill a person or an animal, their resentment overflows hard to quell. They were because of her, because of her weakness, they were killed by me. Meanwhile, they embrace hatred, wait for revenge, or the children of their relatives will take revenge. So every day we sow hatred for people and things, accumulated for days, the injustice is bigger than our strength, as long as we are killed again. The more you create karma, the more you plunge into suffering. The Buddha taught: "Ordinary beings kill the mind, the more they grow, the more suffering karma rotates in samsara and there is no day out" (The Lankavatara Sutta).
For these reasons, the Buddha forbade Buddhists from killing. Without killing, there will be the following points of interest:
a) Personally. - A person who is not cruelly murderous, harmful, non-cruel to shed blood, not skinned, cut flesh, beheaded, strangled, is uneasy in his heart, regrets, mind and body is gentle, poetic , sleep is peaceful, facial expressions are peaceful, pure.
b) Socially. - If all humanity in this world holds the first precepts of Buddha taught, then war will not have, so the ancient ancestors taught:
'' All sentient beings without karma,
Ten of them have a war.
Every home, every place cultivates Thien.
