Buddhism has been in Vietnam for over 15 centuries, so most of our people are Buddhists. People often say "Buddhism is the religion of the grandparents", or "Any house that burns incense, are all Buddhists ...". In terms of number, the number of Buddhists in Vietnam is very large, but in terms of the product, we can not be optimistic. Status of little product, a lot of it arises because of many complicated causes:

- Some people follow Buddhism because of their ancestors' traditions (fathers follow Buddhism, so their descendants also follow).

- There are people who follow Buddhism because of sympathy for relatives by relatives, or for the religion that has shared the moments of joy, sadness and prosperity of the country.

- There are people who follow Buddhism because they hope to pray for accidents through, or pray for, pray for children etc.

Nowadays, it is known that a large number of believers understand the sublime values ​​and vast benefits of Buddhism, but that number is not the majority, if compared with the mass of believers in a shallow way. shallow, or perverted above.

Because he does not fully understand Buddhism, his faith is not guaranteed. Whenever they encounter a strange theory, a new religion, they follow, like a tree without roots, where the wind blows, it falls in that direction, it's sad.

Such sadness can be saved, if we have a program of teaching Buddhism in Vietnamese. Our people are Vietnamese, living in Vietnamese land, eating Vietnamese rice, speaking Vietnamese, and scriptures in foreign languages; the whole deep philosophy of Buddhism still exists in 3 Chinese characters, try to ask how many people can read? Thus, how can believers know the profound teachings of Buddhism and how can their faith be firmly established?

Impatient because of that situation, we boldly and try to create this "universal Buddhist" program, hoping to help believers understand the doctrine quickly, see the precious places of the faith, so that their faith can be rectified. and durable.

We know that we are blessed, not capable of doing this great work. But if hesitated and humbled forever, then there is nothing to do in life. Only by trying to make sacrifices before embarking on the dirt road, letting the talented people repair it later, then rolling stone and asphalt.

The "universal Buddhist study" program aims to build for believers with a doctrinal basis, understanding the Dharma from low to high, taking the Buddhist five vehicles as the basis.

From the first to the fourth, we have composed all the five Mahayana Buddhism. Once believers understand the basic teaching above and then the following courses, we will expand the width and build more height of the Buddhist building. From the 5th to the 12th course, believers will sequentially learn about General outline of Lang Lang, Vien Giac, Duy epistemology and Kim cang, Tam Kinh.

This program, we have written from 1953 to the present and has published in volumes, from the first high school Buddhist study to the 12th universal Buddhist school.

The above work is a burden, but the road is long, we earnestly ask for the zealous devotees, from the great monks Sangha to the Unforthgoing laity, the workers and men of the people who support them. I (or helping the initiative, materials or finance), together build a complete Dharma preaching program in our home country, to help solve the shortcomings and to eliminate the bad things in Buddhism so far.
