Lesson 7: ADDITIONAL CAREER.

A. OPENING 
Ten good karma is the root of all worldly goodness and worldliness.
In the two "Causes" and "Reincarnations" we have learned, we have seen them clearly: Whatever we cause, we reap that result either in the present life, or in the present life. later generations. Small cause is small, big cause is large. 
If you want to be fruitful, you must sow you become a human. Human being is a professional who holds the five precepts (no killing, no stealing, no adultery, no lying and no drinking). With this cause, we have the fruit in the present that everyone from our extended family to the society, cherishes and cherishes. But if we want to go one step further, we try to cultivate the tenfold kusala. With the tenfold practice, we will enjoy a peaceful life in the present and the next life, we will be reborn to six heavenly realms, enjoying the pleasurable and peaceful scene. 
If we want to transcend the three realms of the world, in order to witness the Three Senses (Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha and Bodhisattva), we must cultivate the Four Noble Truths, the Twelve Lovely Causes and the Six Degrees. However, if you want to practice these monastics, you cannot ignore the 10-fold practice. The Ten Good Karma as an important step must be overcome, if you want to climb any more. It is like the basic base, the most solid infrastructure, to build the tall castle up. Therefore, it is said that the Good Ten is the root of all worldly and worldly dharmas. 
B. BACKGROUND 
I. DEFINITIONS 
"Ten good karma" is 10 good karma. 
What is "karma"? 
"Karma" is the Chinese word translated from the Sanskrit word Karma. It means creating, acting. Karma can be divided into three characteristics: good, evil, or not good or bad (no sign). Protestant, according to Buddhism, means having benefit for living beings now and in the future. Data, meaning harmful to sentient beings now and in the future. 
II. TEACHING STARTED TEN LIFE AND TICKET career 
Karma is many, cannot be told. But in the end, one can divide ten types of good karma and ten types of evil karma. These types of karma arise from the following three places: Body (work), Password (words), Italy (thoughts). 
1. Data karma: 
The bad karma is divided as follows: 
a) The karma of the Body is three:  Murder, theft, lust. 
b) The bad karma of Password has four:  lying, weaving, speaking two-dimensional tongue, speaking cruel words. 
c) The evil karma about Italy is three:  Greed, anger, delusion. 
Combining all body, speech and mind, there are ten negative karma. 
2. Good karma: 
If people do the opposite of the above 10 bad karma, there will be 10 good karma. The ten good karmas are divided as follows: 
a) About the Body, there are three:  No killing, no stealing, no commotion. 
b) About Khau had four:  No lie, no weaving, no two-dimensional tongue, no cruel words. 
c) In Italy there are three:  No greed, no anger, no delusion. 
III. MEANING AND VALUATION OF THE TEN Karma 
1. No killing 
There is no greater joy than joy from being killed. Nor is there any more favor than one that does no harm. 
When a bird is about to be plucked, a fish is about to be trimmed, stripped, and released, then imagine how great their joy is! Birds will dance, fly, and cry in the open sky; fish will struggle, swim, in the middle of deep water. The new clearly, escaped murder, who would not start excited? So, not killing, but being freed is the first wholesome career in the Ten Good Works. 
Not killing as well as not eating sentient beings will be free from the following two great crimes: 
a) Murder of the future Buddha.  Because Buddha said: "All beings are future Buddhas" 
b) Killing people for generations, misbehaving them for many lifetimes. 
In the Bodhisattva Sutra, it is said: "All six paths of sentient beings are our relatives, our parents have died and been reborn in many lifetimes". 
The person who does not kill everyday in the present life will expand his compassion, be a righteous person to cultivate into a Buddha, and receive ten good deeds, as the Sutta of the Good Tenfold Path says, below: 
a) All beings are cherished 
b) Compassion extends to all sentient beings  
c) Eradicate angry habits 
d) The body is usually healthy 
d) Long service life 
e) Often supported by angels 
ê) Sleep well and do not dream data 
g) Deduct all grudges 
h) Not falling into three evil ways 
i) After death, be born in heaven. 
2. No robbery 
Not stealing is not taking things that are not in your possession, and people don't give them to you. 
Private property is an important right. True, life is precious, but if there is life without sufficient material, clothing, houses, things necessary to provide the body, then the person cannot live. Therefore, everyone feels that they need to work hard to have enough assets to ensure their present and future life and their descendants. People value their life so. If for some reason, unrighteousness, one is deprived of property, then one suffers, sorrow as if one has lost part of its life. Money is the lifeblood, so when all the wealth is stolen, many people are disappointed and sad to give birth to illness, sometimes to suicidal. Thus, whoever is willing to steal for sure! 
Besides, according to righteousness, I don't want anyone to take mine, I don't take nobody's. Whatever you do not want people to suffer for you, then you must not make people suffer. Society exists only, when everyone respects fairness. 
Besides, of unrighteousness, often entering the front door to the back lane, dissipating quickly like spring water, flowing sand, finally, empty-handed also finished empty-handed, but the rest were despised by the people, spit on, bad Tigers for themselves and their descendants. 
On the contrary, people do not steal, always feel free to relax, not afraid of the law to search, no one will worry. A society without stealing, the house is not closed, no drop is lost, the scene of scorn does not take place, the society is peaceful and peaceful: 
If the space greedily steals, but makes almsgiving, according to the Cross of Goodness, the good deeds are as follows: 
a) Abundant money is not robbed by the enemy, the government confiscates it, does not get flooded, blazes and children dispersed. 
b) Trusted by many people 
c) Do not be deceived or deceived. 
d) Far and near both praise our righteousness  
d) The heart is safe, not afraid of harm 
e) When he died then was born to heaven 
3. No sexual misconduct 
Lust is the cause of birth and death. It is the obstacle that hinders the path of liberation and liberation. Therefore, the monk wants to see results, enlightenment, must eradicate lust in the body as well as in the mind. The Sutta Pitaka says: 
Lust is not deducted, then can not get out of the ceiling ." 
Also at home, Buddha only prevented adultery, meaning married couples formally allowed to live in accommodation, but must be moderate, not solicitous, adultery. 
In the family, if the husband does not commit adultery, the wife does not wandering, the life is warm and peaceful. Therefore, the family is happy, the business is prosperous, the career is sustainable, the people are happy, the two families are fragrant, the neighbors are satisfied, the village is precious. 
The Ten Great Tenfold Path says: 
No sexual misconduct and keep the pure conduct will gain four benefits: 
a) The six bases (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind) are completely integrated 
b) Exclusion of all disturbing emotions
c) No one dares to violate spouses and children 
d) Good reputation, people praise 
4. Do not lie 
Not lying is thinking about how to say that, in your heart and words are not different, the right thing to say is right, the harassment is saying harassment, the yes is saying yes, the story is not saying no. 
Some people think that lying to cheat is not harmful. In fact, that lie is still harmful, because it makes us accustomed to that bad habit, and makes people around us not believe in our words, even though sometimes we tell the truth. 
Lying for fear, terror, should be avoided, because it makes us accustomed to hiding sin, and refusing to correct it. 
Lie to profit or brag, even more serious crime. Merchants lie very easily; and especially those who study, if they lie that they have witnessed the fruit, or attain enlightenment, so that those who respect and worship them, they will be guilty of great language and fall into three evil ways. 
Lying, only in the case to save suffering for people and things, is not guilty. 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, the person who does not lie but speaks the truth is given the following benefits: 
a) Mouth often smells good 
b) The world and the people, the gods are loved 
c) Words that are not misleading and fun 
d) Intellect won, no one more 
d) To enjoy the pleasure as the wish and the three karma are clean. 
5. Do not speak embroidery 
Not speaking embroidering, meaning not elaborating words, not embroidering flowers, weaving brocade, not sweet honey sugar, to wander the hearts and minds of the people, to seduce to do wrong things. Those who speak words are those who have an unjust heart, taking advantage of their trust to earn their profits. These people are often ridiculed, despised and shunned by people in the world, so as not to be harmed to property, prestige or life. 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, the person who does not speak words will gain three benefits: 
a) Be loved by intellectuals 
b) Or answering difficult questions 
c) Be a person of mighty virtue, noble in the realms of heaven.
6. Do not speak two-dimensional tongue
Not speaking two-dimensional tongue, or speaking two tongues, meaning not coming to this side and talking bad about the other side, not coming to the other party and talking bad about this side; Neither bring the story of this person detrimental, nor do they provoke the story of the other to ridicule; neither make the two sides angry, nor stand in the middle to cause aversion to the two enmity. In short, the person who does not say two tongues is someone who has no malice, does not use the opposite words to make the close enemies into enemies, near the city far. 
He did not speak two tongues, never had a problem with relatives, nor did he have troubles with the neighbors, so he was close to his relatives, who was far away from the beloved. He did not say two tongues but also said the words in harmony, making friends more respectful, more people believe in love, making everyone happy with each other. Everywhere they go, they are treated with kindness, and if they encounter problems, they can arrange them easily. 
According to the Tenfold Path, people who do not speak two tongues will enjoy the following benefits: 
a) Relatives, lineages are always reunited 
b) The friendship of good knowledge is steadily undefended 
c) Indestructible faith 
d) The indestructible conduct
7. Do not say cruel words 
Not to say cruelty is not to say cruel, cruel, cruel, offensive words to listeners; don't scold people making people ashamed, hurt, etc. 
He does not speak cruel words, never bragging about one's bad deeds, but on the contrary, likes to show the good things of others. Their words were gentle, elegant and gentle, all words of piety, compassion and benefit for all sentient beings were rejoice and respect. 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, people who do not speak cruel words but do moderate things receive merit as follows: 
a) Every word is smart, logical and helpful 
b) Say what everyone hears and trusts 
c) No one criticizes any words but also loves them. 
8. No desire 
In life, there are 5 sensual pleasures, which people most desire are: money, beauty, fame, eating, sleeping. The sensual five sensual pleasures, in fact, less fun but much suffering. Like greed for money, you have to torment yourself, sometimes even use nefarious means to seize yourself, and when you lose, you are extremely miserable. Greed is a lot of money, loss of health and mental loss; sometimes find bad wiles to satisfy the wish; if not, again jealousy, hatred, killing. Greed and fame, right to the right, then have to go into the bow, the mind of hard work, loss of appetite and sleep, sometimes making fun of people around. Gluttony and delicacy, many diseases were difficult to treat, the body was tired, life was not long. Greed for sleep, sleep early in the afternoon, then the brain turned dull, dark. 
The five sensual pleasures are the main causes that bind human life to the cycle of birth and death, samsara, and debauchery. 
The person who does not desire those things is the one who knows how to practice the Minorities and the Tri Tuc. Minority is want less; Tri Tuc is enough to know. Minorities and Tri Tuc have a simple, noble and safe life. 
If society consists only of these people, then tragedies: the strong oppress the weak, the rich oppress the poor, the poor resent the rich, no longer continues, and the world also lives in peace. peacefulness. 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, the person who does not desire is accomplishing the following good things: 
a) Three karma (body, speech, and mind) are free, because the bases are sufficient 
b) Wealth is not lost or stolen 
c) Blessedness is free 
d) Good things come to me, even though I don't wish them to. 
9. Not angry 
No anger is still keeping calm, calm, mellow before scenes of contradiction. 
Anger is a very harmful evil, it is like a fierce fire, burning both himself and the people around him. Buddhist scriptures say: 
An angry thought arose, then hundreds and thousands of karma doors were opened. A furious fire arose, immediately burned all the merit forests ." 
Confucianism also said: 
"It will take a hundred days to get rid of your anger and anger. So, if you do it, then you should endure, and something worthless is worth it. If you don't endure, then the small thing turns out to be big. could not help but ". 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, whoever is not angry is entitled to eight dharmas, happy as follows: 
a) No mental suffering 
b) Do not get angry 
c) Not mind scrambling 
d) The mind is peaceful and upright 
d) Compassionate mind like Buddha  
e) Often benefit peaceful beings  
ê) The dignified form, sentient beings are revered 
g) Having patience, being born in the Brahma realm. 
10. No delusion. 
No delusion is to know the judgment clearly, to determine clearly, rightly, not obstinate according to your own understanding, not to believe unreasonable theories, especially not superstition. 
People who are not ignorant, that is, who have wisdom, simplicity, believe that there is cause and effect of reincarnation, should not create sins but keep doing merit, often cultivating Prajna, eliminating ignorance, to continue on the path of liberation. . 
According to the Cross of Goodwill, the person who is not ignorant, achieves the following 10 dharmas of merit: 
a) The intention is happy and friendly 
b) Deeply believes in cause and effect, it is better to leave your body alone than to do evil. 
c) Refuge only in Buddha, not in angels and pagans 
d) The mind is upright, right view 
d) Being born in heaven, from falling into three evil ways 
e) Blessings are not measured, often increase forever 
ê) End of the evil road, cultivating the right path 
g) Not content to accept ego, abandon all negative karma 
h) Yen stay in the right view 
i) There is no evil.
C. CONCLUSION 
Ten good karma, as well as ten evil deeds, are caused by body, speech and mind. Bad karma such as grass, good karma like rice, all grow on the same field. Grass often obstructs rice, not giving good growth. If you want good rice to satisfy the harvest, you have to remove the grass. Also, in order to get a good karma, there must be ten bad karma completely. 
For every ten bad karma, every day you keep developing good karma, you will get the following four benefits: 
1. Reform the body and mind 
The body and mind of the human being are often dominated by karma. The practice of the ten good karmas, which will transform one's body and mind into goodness. For example, if not killing but releasing, then the wicked heart will be changed to compassion, the hatred will turn into favor. 
2. Improving circumstances 
Situations as well as a great mirror reflect all the gestures of action, the life of each person.If one laughs, the mirror laughs back; If we cry, the mirror will cry again. Also, if we do good deeds, help fellow beings, save sentient beings, then the situation for us will become a beautiful realm. For example, when we are not angry and cultivate patience, the situation has no struggle to kill, but only solidarity. 
3. Chief of the celestial world 
Tu Ten Thien Nghiep is a good sow for the next life to reap the beautiful results of being born in heaven, enjoying full bliss. 
4. Basic Buddhist results 
Ten directions three generations, the sages of liberation from samsara, the supreme result, are taking ten good karma as the basis; Because of these ten good karma, have the function of preventing evil acts, making the three karmas (body, speech, and mind) pure, so that people can escape samsara and nirvana. If you bring these ten good karma, dedicate to all sentient beings, you will receive Buddhahood. 
In short, from the 10 principles of good karma, in our present life, our body and mind are greatly improved, our circumstances are bright and joyful; and in the future we avoid falling away from the three maps, enjoying the blessings of the realms of Humanity, Heavenly Nirvana.
