UNIVERSAL BUDDHISM 2
SRAMANA=THICH THIEN HOA.
COURSE: BUDDHIST PHILOSOPHY OR IS STRICTLY UNIVERSAL PRIVATE
Lesson 1: ADVICE.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

A. RECOMMENDATION
Those who come to the strange city, if there is no map, are okay with going astray. People who walk in the sea are marvelous, the wind is strong, the wind is floating in the middle of the sea. If there is no guide, it is not easy to overcome thousands of worms and return to the country. Those who go to fight the enemy, if they do not have any soldiers, do not understand the tactics and strategies, they will not be able to win the enemy, bring back the security order for the country, and preserve the young river cam tu. If a worker does not have a ruler, it is okay to make valuable items.
Austerities also, if you do not understand the straight path, the winding, hard-to-pass pass, the dangerous pit in the path of austerities, the hallway of witnessing, then it is impossible to get lost in the wicked, sa evil places religion.
The Shurangama Sutra is an immensely precious sūtra, indicating a clear way of spiritual practice, which is clear, clear, and clear. The practitioner has to go through so many positions, while he encounters dangerous things and how to avoid them, then in the Shurangama Sutra teaches very clearly.
Speaking of the Surangama Sutra, every Buddhist listener who hears is a Mahayana sutta, both the best and the most precious. Austerities understand the Shurangama Sutra, just like a pedestrian with a map, a sailor with a guide, a worker with ink, a ruler, and a soldier with a battle map.
Because the Shurangama Sūtra is so valuable, in ancient times the Indian kings considered it a national treasure, strictly guarding it not to spread it out. Meanwhile, on the Chinese side, there was Mr. Thien Thai Tri Gia Dai, who heard such a precious Sutta, so twice a day early in the afternoon, turning to the West (India), kneeling and praying to the Surangama Sutra. was soon spread through China, to benefit the birth.
About 100 years later, there was the Indian Patriarch Bat Thich Mat De, who tried to bring the Surangama Sutra many times to propagate in China, but to no avail, because the law of the country was strictly forbidden and strictly controlled.
At the last time, he wrote the sutras in a thin silk, then rolled them up, sliced the muscle into it, tape it up like a scabie, and brought it out of the water.
We should also remember the miracle of "The Dharma of the Fallen Life" of Bat Thich Mat De. Try thinking: A plant cut into the skin hurts; a baby, scabies, pain; let alone splitting a long path in a muscle, cramming a piece of silk, over the course of several days, from India to China. If unfortunately revealed, must be executed. So we can see how precious the Surangama Sutra is! The mind of the selflessness of the Bodhisattva Bat Thich Mat De deserves our whole life of worship.
When Bat Thich Mat De brought this Surangama Sutra to China, arrived in Nam Thuyen, met with the Prime Minister named Phong Dung, who was a scholar and learned from Buddha, so he presented to the Prime Minister, about the price. of the Shurangama Sutra that He had sacrificed to bring.
Guan Cheng Rongrong, who heard of it, was extremely happy and said it was an unprecedented treasure. But when he took out the silk scroll, because he had been stuck on it for a long time, he lost his words.
A lady who had great merit in this, was the wife of Prime Minister Fang Rong. She took that silk and cooked it with a chemical medicine, then the blood and blood followed the water to melt away, leaving only the strokes of ink, so she saw it to translate.
The Prime Minister-Prime Minister invited Mr. Thich Mat De to translate Sanskrit into Chinese characters. Mr. Old Man Thich Ca translated words, and the Prime Minister was excellent. Therefore, the Shurangama Sūtra not only has great meanings, but the literature is wonderful! In the past, scholars, not only in Buddhism, but also Confucianism, literary giants, paid attention to the Shurangama Sutra, all admired and greatly praised the sublime meaning, and the wonderful literature. of sutras.
B. THE BACKGROUND
I. THE CAUSES OF BUDDHIST SAY THE ECONOMIC ECONOMY
As usual, every year until the full moon day of the seventh month, the day of the full moon, the monks and nuns gather together to wash away their wrongdoings and bad thoughts, so that the world can be purified. Because in the three months of lowering the residence, the monks and nuns all conscued themselves, cultivated the moral precepts, accumulated merit, so on the end of the summer, the lay Buddhists scrambled to buy all the goodies, sometimes Buddhist monks came to make offerings, to cultivate well-being.
On that day, on the first day of the Emperor's death, the King of Concubine King bought a lot of great religious dishes, and the king himself went to the Buddha and monks to make offerings.
Also on that day, all the fake monks and lay people all bought vegetarian food, and invited monks to make offerings. Buddha told Mr. Manjushri to divide, to go to each house to take offerings.
In the meantime, Mr. A Nan, because he had received a personal request first, should not return in time to participate in the Sangha.
He brought the bowl to the city, majestically majestic, slowly, each house to beg for alms. With an equal mind, he wanted to do merit for everyone, regardless of nobility or popular class. He only wished to meet those who did not yet do merit, today offered to make offerings, so that they could cultivate healthy seeds, so that the next day can bear fruit.
Because equal compassion did not choose, he sequentially passed through the villages. Unfortunately, he met a pagan woman named Ma Dang Gia, using magical art as the mantra of Ta Pi Ca La Tien Pham Thien, caught in the room, used all the sweet words, caressed caresses, forced him to go home. love!....
An Nan in distress, very sad! He recited his hands to recite the Buddha's name, turned to Venerable Chi Ton for help! ... The Buddha knew that Ananda was in trouble, so when he finished his life without giving the sermon, he immediately returned to the monastery to sit cross-legged, on the spot of generosity and glory, there was a thousand-petaled lotus in the lotus. There are Buddha Chemistry sitting cross-legged, saying mantras Lang Nghiem ( every night the temples are chanting ).
The Buddha told Mr. Manjushri to bring that mantra to the Old Lady, to destroy the evil spirit and save Ananda.
II. A Buddhist prayer for teaching the first practice method
When Ananda was freed, he came to the Buddha, bowed his head, bowed and bowed, was sad, cried and said:
-  White Blessed One! From when I have until now I have to depend on myself: I am a younger brother of the Buddha, loved by the Buddha, and he will surely give me the wisdom, reciting, not knowing whoever is cultivating, even though you are the younger brother of Buddha, if you do not cultivate, you will fall down like anyone; Studying a lot without practicing, it is of no use! Bowing to the Buddha of generosity and compassion, teaching the child what method the ten directions of the Buddhas cultivated to become enlightened?
III. THE SOLUTION STRATEGY
1. Define and explain the sutta
At that time, Buddha comforted Ananda and promised to teach how to practice to attain enlightenment, the Surangama Sutra. This sutta, read it sufficiently:
"Great Buddha Danh, Tathagata honey, Tu evidence willow, Chu Bodhisattva, Hanh Lang Nghiem"; hereinafter referred to as the "Sutra of the Surangama Sutra".
a) Because this sutta is very valuable, there are few that are difficult to meet, the Hinayana Sravakayas and the Bodhisattva Hinayana powers cannot comprehend, such as the Buddha's "Invisibleity" form. Because this general is very precious and hard to see, the ordinary and the Second Vehicle cannot be seen.
b) Ten directions the Buddha all follow this sutta to the local practice, which is enlightened, so it is called "Tathagata Tathagata".
c) Y according to this business and practice, the new evidence of proof of practice that is ultimately, should call that "Tu evidence willow".
d) The Bodhisattvas who practice the continents of universal virtue follow this sūtra, so this sutta is also called "the Bodhisattvas of great happiness".
d) In summary, "Thu Lang Nghiem" and Chinese translation are "Great fortified". That is, the essence of Chon, available to all beings and Buddhas, covers the whole universe, so it is called "Great". The mind is often pure President does not expect action should call that "Dinh". It has not been changed by time, or the space has been moved, ever since then, as always, in places where there is no more holiness, nor on earth, as if motionless, so called "Kien try. ”
The word “Kinh” in the narrow sense is the only straight line, that is, the guard line in the cloth. The cloth, thanks to the threaded line, draws the horizontal threads into a new cloth.
In the broadest sense, the word "Kinh" is a collection of words and meanings of the Holy Sage, made into a book or a set.
In Buddhism or in real life, there are scriptures. But Buddhist scriptures have the word "Khế", so it is different from scriptures in the world.
The word "Khế" means suitable:
a) Based on the basis of beings.
b) Truth.
The word "Kinh" means "regular dharma", which is an unchangeable truth: Buddha's past said the dharma, the Buddha said the same in the present and the Buddha's birth also said the same. called "usually the law".
To be more precise:
"This sutta is our mind".
a) We have a pure, pure, and immovable mind nature, and that's where we have "Surangama Surangama".
b) Y according to this mind that initiates the continental six degrees of happiness of the Bodhisattva, it is where we have "Bodhisattvas of thousands of happiness".
c) Y according to the feet that cultivate, and also according to this foot that evidence, evidence like that is the ultimate, so called "Tu evidence willow".
d) We take this heart as a religious monk, will be a Buddha, so called "Tathagata honey".
d) This mind is very precious, the sublime, Theravada and Bodhisattva inheritances cannot be merged, so for example, the Buddha is "Buddha's Unclear General". Our hearts cover the whole universe, everything else outside our feet, that is the meaning of the word "Kinh".
Nineteen initial letters of this sutta: "Great Buddha, Tathagata, Renewed, Willow, Bodhisattva, Virtue Bodhisattva, Virtue Bodhisattva", covering the entire sutra, teachings, teachings, and conduct , results, form, general and use, multiplying the evidence of geography are all bosses, but ultimately only in our own hearts ready enough. Because of this enlightenment, the German Patriarch Hui Neng said:
Unbelievably, my mind is naturally pure
No doubt his mind was not born
Unexpectedly, his mind is full of dharma
No doubt my mind did not move my capital
No doubt his mind or birth of all things.
Read the headings only 19 words, we found it was fun, because it is where we have available " Great Buddha, Tathagata Tathagata, tu willow meaning, Bodhisattvas of thousands of happy, Thu Lang Nghiem ". Just because we are ignorant, we do not receive our Surangama Sutra. But it also does not take, when enlightened will become Buddha.
2. Content of the Shurangama Sutra
The content of the Shurangama Sutra is that the Buddha taught us to realize our feet. We do not realize the feet should have forever eternal beings, deep in the sea of birth and death, suffering not know how much suffering. As for the Buddha who escaped from samsara, he was free to be liberated, the supernatural being liberated, the mind of wisdom, etc ... were all enlightened to him, so he was like that.
To make it easy to understand: Buddha and sentient beings are still one of the true nature of the mind, but they have fully enlightened to that nature, so they become Buddhas. On the contrary, sentient beings because of the unconscious nature of the mind, should be born in samsara If we enlighten our feet, we will be like Buddha.
Mr. An Nan prayed to the Buddha to teach only the methods that the ten directions the Buddhas have practiced and are all attained, then the Buddha only taught, to be enlightened " Chon Chon " only. If enlightened mind is feet, then become a Buddha. Enlightenment is the mind, like a person who dreams; Not enlightened mind as people still dreaming. This is the only method by which the ten Buddhist practices have been attained. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.12/1/2020.
