A. OPENING 

1. The great gratitude of being born to nurture 

We love listening to the folk verse: 

"The father is like a mountain of Thai Son; 
The mother is like water flowing from the source". 

(Thanks to the parents, it is so great as a high mountain, broken pool). 

Mother was nine months pregnant, three years for nursing, life-long sacrifice for children. When eating and sleeping, whenever a child needs to be with mom. Child missed, urinating above her, she was still smiling without resentment. Having a poor situation, she refrained from feeding her children to eat, leaving a dry place for her to lie down (on the wet side, lying on the roller). Risky when the child is sick, the mother sat next to her, watch the sports watch; Only when you are healthy and smiling will you be happy. The folk verse has a saying: 

"You can only feel it when you do it, 

Raising children knows the merit from ".

And parents have to work hard to support their children. If facing poverty, his father had to work as a hired laborer, renting, buying algae for sale, sweating to get a bowl of rice and coat his son. In addition, Father also teaches children to study, day and night worrying to train their children to be useful, wise, not inferior to them. 

Thanks to the parents, they can say as much as they want. 

2. So as a child, you must repay the parents: 

Regardless of any moral morality, East or West, ancient or present; all use the word "Hiếu" as the head. A child who has been unfaithful to his or her parents is no longer doing something bad and cannot do it. If a person is so blessed, he no longer knows what humanity, charity, and justice are. Therefore, the ancients said: 

" Heavenly multitude of books, Hieu means the first ", 

(Thousands of books, thousands of books, are taken as Hieu first). 

Thi Thi said a very moving sentence: 

" The clown clown gave birth, the clown chrysanthemum fell, 

Whoever is a mother, who falls in love with an island, 

Sex report intensive gift, effective natural hammock ". 

Means my father, my mother raised us. Oh, my parents are hard labor. Want to repay the grace of the parents, such as skyward to the end. 

Buddha also taught: 

" Mother and father in the street like Buddha in the world ". 

That means parents still have money, just like Buddha was alive. Seeing that, Buddha appreciated how precious the presence of parents. Because his parents were so treasured, He further taught: 

" Hieu vi vi hanh chi ". 

Filial piety is first in everything. 

In order for Buddhists to fulfill their filial duty, the Buddha taught the Vu Lan Bon dharma below. 

B. BACKGROUND

Vu Lan Bon is the most effective method of filial piety. But first, let's understand what Vu Lan Bon means. 

I. DEFINITIONS

Vu Lan Bon is a transliteration in Sanskrit. The Chinese translates as: "League of mystery", literally untie the person hung upside down; figuratively saving those suffering as if they were hanging upside down. 

II. THE CAUSE BUDDHISM IS BUDDHISM 

The Venerable Maudgalyāyana, after practicing austerity of the six miracles, pitying his parents' thanks, he sought to repay. Using his eyes to see in the world, did he realize that his mother was born as a hungry ghost, his body was thin, his skin was covered with bones, his body was thin, his belly was big, his head was small, his neck was like a spool, he was hungry all year round. to eat and drink. Mercifully, he immediately brought a bowl of rice to eat, offered his mother. He miraculously, carried the rice bowl to his mother. The mother was longing, so when she got rice, greed arose, afraid of snatching away, hiding her rice bowl with her left hand, eating her face. Because of the vicious greed in her previous life aroused, so the rice was brought into her mouth, which turned into fire, she could not eat. 

Maudgalyayana saw that, very sadly crying out in anguish. He immediately returned to the White Buddha, recounted the above, and prayed to the Buddha to teach his mother-saving method. 

III. THE BUDDHISM OF BUDDHISM FOR THE GOD 

After listening to Maudgalyayana requesting the filial piety method, the Buddha taught that: 

"Behold, Maudgalyāyana! His mother, due to his greed, cruelty, has committed serious sins over many lives, now born in evil, as a hungry ghost, he cannot save him alone. His filial piety was immense, and it was impossible to change the situation, just like a small boat, unable to carry large rocks, so he had to rely on their statues of monks in the ten directions, great virtue as the sea , in order to save your mother, you will be set free. I will now for you teach me the method of salvation, which will make your parents separate from their sins. 

Behold Maudgalyāyana! The full moon day of July is Tu Tu's day in the ten directions, after three months of solitary confinement, books and austerities. That day was also the wedding day for the Buddhas, because they saw that the monks after three months of retreat, had made great strides in their path of cultivation, their karma was pure, and the three items of illicit learning were increased. virtue more and more to the full day. So he should celebrate Vu Lan Bon on that day to inform his mother. 

Make sure you buy all kinds of scent, five fruits, along with the fragrance of candlelight, cot bed, blanket, blanket, clothes, wash your face, hand towels; in short, all four valuable offerings in life. Then he had to go personally to receive the Great Venerable Sangha in the ten directions, or those meditating in the mountains, witnessing the four holy fruits, or having a walking experience under a tree with six miraculous powers at the same line as Thanh Van. , Pratyekabuddha, the Sangha monks, or the Bodhisattva tithes appear to be monks, etc. He must pay homage to the Sangha's offerings and pray to the monks to pray for the relief of his mother's spirits. . Thanks to the merit of becoming a vow, his mother's spirit will be transcended. Just like a rock weighing hundreds of pounds, but many people carry it, they can move anywhere. " 

Mr. Maudgalyayana obeyed the Buddha's teaching, and on the full moon day of July, he performed the Vu Lan ceremony, bought all the materials, and took the monks in the ten directions to pay respect to the offerings of the Sangha, so his mother was freed from the ghost. Devil, born on the realm of goodness. 

IV. THE BUDDHISM OF BUDDHISM: CAN THE BUDDHISM AFTER LIFE CAN MAKE A CELEBRATION? 

After seeing that his mother was freed from suffering, Maudgalyāyana was very happy and immediately came to Buddha and said, 

Bach The Ton! My mother was thanks to the three treasures of merit and the dread of the monks, so she was able to escape from the hungry ghosts. So, in the next life, among Buddhists, if anyone wants to celebrate this Vu Lan Bon festival, to save their current parents as well as their parents many previous lives, does not know it? 

Buddha taught that: 

"This is very precious! Behold Maudgalyāyana! In the future, if there are monks and monks, nuns, princes, ministers, and triangles, to the people, for filial piety wants to repay thanks to the present parents and the past, the full moon day of July is the " Happy Buddha Day" , to celebrate this Vu Lan, to make offerings to the Sangha son. Thanks to the merits of the monks and nuns, their parents are Sangha blessed longevity, from the accident, suffering, and parents seven generations ago, from suffering hungry ghosts, being born in the realms of nature, enjoying the same happiness and happiness. " 

At that time, Mr. Maudgalyāyana and the four disciples were all happy to do. And from then on, every year, on the full moon day of the seventh month, every filial piety of the Buddhists would perform the Vu Lan ceremony to repay the parents' birth and nurture. 

V. THE MEANING AND FOUNDATION OF PRESSURE UNDER THE BUDDHIST CONCEPT  

Of course filial piety is not just aimed at a Vu Lan ceremony. Not every year, just organizing a ceremony Vu ​​Lan, is self-proclaimed filial son for doing filial piety. 

As mentioned above, thanks to parents as wide as the sky broke, making children to thank their parents for a lifetime has not yet fit. But in the time of filial piety, there must be a wise and correct conception to be truly beneficial and effective. 

Filial piety has many ways, but not apart from two aspects :  material  and  spiritual . 

1. Material filial piety:  Buddhists have to serve obediently, instead of doing hard work, taking care of food and drink, clothes, bed mats, rest places, not letting their parents lack or worry . But Buddhists must be wise in filial piety, should not overly follow the will of their parents but create evil karma, such as murder, harm, and sin, to make parents happy in material things. Doing so is not a filial piety but a filial piety, for causing additional sins to the parents and for oneself. 

Besides, material filial piety, no matter how sufficient, will not only work for parents to be happy and satisfied in a present life only. The material happiness is temporary happiness, happiness within samsara. So filial gratitude is not sufficient. 

2. Spiritual filial piety:  Buddhists have to go up one more level, and are concerned about spiritual piety. Spiritual filial piety is how the parents' spirit is gentle, noble and gradually comes to the place of liberation. Buddhists must advise their parents to believe in the merit of the bliss and take refuge in the Three Jewels, giving alms, releasing the Buddha's name, doing good deeds, observing the precepts and liberating monks. In this way, not only in the present, the parents will be peaceful, peaceful and the next life will also be blessed, and born in a light and light realm. 

BECAUSE. RESOLVED

1. Someone suspects:  Monks just chanting prayers, how can the spirits be supreme?  

A:  The spirit of the person is very strong, every time we focus our thoughts and focus on something, we see its power is extraordinary. Sutra says: " The mind is the origin of the heart, unjustified"; means: to put the mind at the same place, nothing can be done without accomplishment. We see like hypnotists, using the spirit of telling people to walk, stand, lie, sit, etc. The worldly people use the mind to be like that, let alone the male monks to keep the pure precepts of spiritual practice, of course, the spirit must be clearer and stronger. If you pray, you will be determined by the power of the monks to be supernatural, and the Buddha and the Bodhisattva will have compassion and compassion and love all sentient beings like mothers who love you. Just as the moon is always available, if the lake water does not waver and clear, the other moon will reach the bottom of the lake. 

2. Someone asked:  "As the Buddha taught in the Vu Lan sutta, we have to buy all kinds of precious food and supplies to make offerings to the monks. How can the poor people be worried? 

A: It is the  Buddha's duty to teach us to be sincere and devoted in our purchases, not all of them. For the poor, if they have tried their best to buy only one stick of incense or fruit plate, but with sincerity, it is enough. On the contrary, if there are people who have a surplus of things that have not been fulfilled, they cannot be called full. 

3. Someone asked  him : Maudgalyāyana, the first miraculous god, could save his parents by himself, he didn't need to ask monks. Just like the big officials in the country, powerful enough, can save the guilty relatives, need to resort to other officials? 

A:  Mrs. Thanh De is suffering from misery, caused by her former mind. Today, thanks to Maudgalyāyana, a filial son, who offered offerings to Buddha and Sangha, at that time she was happy to make offerings to Buddha and Sangha. Because she changed her thoughts, she returned to the broad mind, which she was liberated. If it were only thanks to the Sangha that her mind didn't expand, it would be difficult to save. 

C. CONCLUSION 

We already know the good effect of the Vu Lan ceremony. So we should follow the example of the Venerable Maudgalyāyana and filial piety, surely the present parents and the seven previous generations will be free from the miserable devils, and enjoy the liberation. The story of "Muc Lien, Thanh De" is not a myth or a myth, but an explainable phenomenon. This is due to the filial filial piety of the son and the virtue of adhering to the boy, keeping the precepts pure for the three months of summer, promoting the monks' spiritual practice, sincerely paying attention, and thus having the power to sympathize and stimulate the mind. souls of suffering, making them awakened, turning evil thoughts toward good. Thanks to the change of mind, they are free from the punishment of suffering that was previously created by that mind. In the sutta it says: "The mind can create karma, and the mind can also transform karma . "Behold, as a hypnologist, you can concentrate on your thoughts and also turn things around, let alone the monks' wishes, be crystallized. of so many wise virtues of wisdom, purity, and not sympathizing with the person in the place of sorrow or not? career, smashing the labor prison shackles in U map. 

This Dharma Vu Lan is the miraculous method to save parents' spirits in the dark. 

But we must always remember: filial piety is not just waiting for parents to disappear and once every year to celebrate Vu Lan ceremony is enough. 

The filial son is always happy to see his parents still with him and to take full care of his parents, so that his parents can relax both physically and mentally. 

Thus, from remorse and lament like Teacher Tu Lo: 

" Rustic pediatric lustful family! 

Pediatric pediatric sexuality at any ".
