UNIVERSAL BUDDHISM 1
SRAMANA=THICH THIEN HOA.
Course II: THIEN THUA BUDDHIST
Lesson 10: PURE LAND.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

A. OPENING
In the universe there are countless worlds
As the Buddha once taught and scientists today have confirmed, in this universe there are countless numbers of worlds. Every night, we look up to the sky, how many stars twinkle or fade away far away, appearing before our eyes how many worlds this is. Even a Milky Way galaxy with white clouds like those silver clouds, already contains millions of worlds. The case of chi in the universe, not just a galaxy but a few thousand of them. The part we see every night, even though we cannot count it all, is only a very small fraction of the immense universe we cannot see.
In the sutras often taught: Phuong Dong has countless worlds like the sand of the Ganges River, but the West, the South, and the North are the same (Di Da scriptures).
But only the Pure Land (Pure Land) world is the happiest
In so many worlds, there is a world of impurity, a world of purity, a world of suffering, a world of peace, a world of new birth, a world of destruction, and a world of favor matter, there is a spiritual world.
According to the Buddha Shakyamuni taught, in that immeasurable world, only the world of Bliss or the Pure Land of Buddha Amitabha is more fun.
Today we present the world of Ultimate Bliss, as the Buddha Shakyamuni taught.
B.  BACKGROUND
I. SIGNS AND POSITIONS OF EXTREMELY STRONG OR COMPETITION
One day, seeing Shakyamuni Buddha, a strange figure, extremely happy, Ananda asked Buddha:
- Why is Buddha's face different today than usual?
Buddha taught that:
- We remember Buddha Amitabha, referring to his people, to teach sentient beings the Pure Land practice.
The day teaches that: from this realm Ta-she towards the west, more than ten thousand memories, there is a world called Pure Land or Pure Land. In that country, the Buddha, whose name is Amitabha, he often preached. The realm of pure water, extremely beautiful, bright and joyful. The whole landscape was like a great flower garden with neat rows of trees, flowered walls, vines drooping like brocade, like silk; There are lakes full of things with eight merit. The bottom of the lake is paved with yellow sand; In the lake there were large lotus wheels, colorful, fragrant scents, and beautiful aura: every blue flower, emits a green aura; white flowers, then emit a white aura; pink flowers, the pink aura emitted ... Roads, bridges, temples, electricity in the Pure Land are made of precious gold and precious jewels.
The birds here are the treasures of birds, like the white cranes, the giants, the martial arts, the relics, the lepts, the old frequency, etc. blending in the sacred music, making anyone listening to it, they must immediately release the mind to celebrate Buddha's name. The birds were transformed by Buddha Amitabha to preach to sentient beings. Not only can the birds speak the dharma, but until the water flows, the wind blowing the trees is all wonderful sermons. There, there is never darkness, because of the radiance of the Buddha emitted, the brilliance is always there. The realm of solemnity, splendor, and beauty is due to the great devotion of Amitabha Buddha, the Bodhisattvas and the Saints, all of the good, noble people.
In such convenient and joyful circumstances, everyone there, everyone is diligent in their spiritual practice and is easily able to become a career.
II. CONDITIONS FOR HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE NETWORK
To be born in the Pure Land, you first need to meet the following three conditions:
1. Faith certainly:
In the Avatamsaka Sutra, it is said: "Belief is the mother of merit. Belief can be attained." Trust has three aspects:
a) Believing in Buddha is a wise being who saves all kinds of compassion. Because he wants to save sentient beings quickly from the suffering of birth and death, he only shows the scene of the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha, a real scene.
b) It is true and true that teaching the Dharma of the Buddha teaches us to recite the Buddha's name with one-pointedness and pray for Amida's realm. We firmly believe in His teachings that spiritual practice will be successful.
c) Believe in your strength. If we truly believe: we will become a Buddha, single-mindedly recite the name of Buddha, will definitely be reborn in the Pure Land.
2. Making a firm vow:
May the good will. Establishing a firm vow means earnestly desiring, making aspirations not to be transformed, determined to return to Ecstasy, despite many obstacles of hardship and suffering. Must have a passionate heart, never distracting the desire to be near Amitabha Buddha, as I go far away earnestly to meet you.
In every great work, aspiration is important. Without aspiration, nothing is accomplished. A writer wrote very right: "The road is difficult, not difficult because the river is separated from the mountain, but difficult because the people are afraid of the mountain ". He has the will, like a boat to steer, like a horse to have diamonds. From life to religion, to succeed, it is essential to make a firm commitment to perseverance.
3. Practicing according to the will:
Already have aspirations, must practice according to the aspirations. The practice here is to always recite the name of Amitabha Buddha, to recite always while walking, lying down, until "one-pointedly confused."
In summary, the prerequisite for rebirth in the world of Amitabha Buddha's bliss, nothing difficult, nor very binding, but on the contrary, regardless of who, vile, rich, poor, and wise conscious or uneducated are possible. Those are: Having strong faith, making a firm vow, practicing according to the will. There are three elements of faith, happiness, prayer, that you can step on your way to the ultimate bliss realm. The journey may be slow or quick, difficult may be easy, but whoever has met all three conditions, then come to the destination, Amitabha Buddha is always ready to wait. welcomes us, as I wait for you to come back home. But if you wait for me and I don't remember you, I don't want to go back, then even though we are close to each other, it's like two people turning their backs to each other, one going to the South, one going back. the north, the farther you go, Can't see each other anymore. On the other hand, if you miss me, I want to meet you, while I am also remembering and waiting for you, just like you two are facing each other, one in the West goes to the East, the other in the direction Going east to the West, even though we are far away from each other, we will meet each other.
We believe that there is Amitabha Buddha, and we are determined to fulfill that aspiration, so even though the Land of Ultimate Bliss is ten and ten thousand distant realms, when we die we will also receive the appearance of Amitabha Buddha and their Saints. the level of his return.
III.  LEGAL FRAMEWORK ON THE EXCEPTION (POSITIVE)
The method of cultivating the Ultimate Bliss has many paths, but not apart from the Buddhist recitation. Here are four strategies recite Buddha:
1. Maintain the recitation of Buddha's name:
Preserving the name of the Buddha's name means keeping the mind of thinking of the name of the Buddha, and reciting "Namo Amitabha Buddha". When walking, standing, lying, sitting, eating, drinking and reciting also. Mindfulness from tomorrow when you wake up, until the evening, before going to bed. Mindfulness throughout the day without interrupting. When he went to bed, he sat cross-legged or cross-legged, folded his hands and prayed that:
"I believe in the words of Buddha Amitabha, keep my mind on your name, and pray for this life, all the sins that will be all washed away, until death and the Bodhisattva Ecstasy.
2. Rescuing reciting Buddha's name:
The concept of reciting Buddha's name is similar to the method of maintaining the name, but there is a difference in meaning, making the lips not moving, not reciting the words, but in the thought of reciting the Buddha's name.
When reciting a sound, consider where it came from. Until the thought of not listening again, then consider the sound he considered it to go. Considering the place of birth, the place of returning is already a fairly elaborate part already, keep it like that and recite it, don't let it be scattered, then there will be a clear mind.
3. Contemplation of reciting Buddha's name:
As visualizing and visualizing Buddha Amitabha in front of our eyes, we are six feet tall, stand on a lotus, and contemplate our body sitting on a lotus flower, holding hands to serve the Buddha. Buddha sees us, we see Buddha. Consistent with that for a long time, go, stand, lie, sit, close your eyes, open your eyes and see the Buddha, that is, the dharma is mature.
4. Truly reciting the Buddha's name:
It is true that reciting Buddha's name is reciting the Buddha's name with the true mind. Because all of the dharma are caused by the mind, because the mind disappears, its appearance is vanity (common sense, vision and vision), the only true mind is true, not born, not destroyed; no past, no future, this ancient pure equal as, not spoiled, not disappear, so called the new Prime Minister.
Three previous concept of reciting Buddha belongs to Su, there is a store and shop. To this fourth dharma, which belongs to Ly Tanh, is superior. When reciting Buddha's name, we will come to an absolute final destination and realize our nature as Amitabha Buddha. Our mind will be the Pure Land.
But we must always remember: thanks to the new manifestation of reason. First of all also due to reciting the Buddha's name, contemplating reciting the Buddha's name, etc. Tanh Tanh just silent, just shining power, no facility, not believing, not trying, no property, no nothing. This place is exactly like in the Four Elements Chapter, Buddha said: " Mindfulness to the mindless place "; or in the Amitabha Sutta, " Be unconcerned "
IV. THE RELATIONSHIP OF BUDDHIST CONCEPT IN TIME TO LAM GENERAL
According to the misconception of the majority, when grandparents die, their descendants have to cry for much to be filial. Many families even hire people to "cry hiring" to "bush". According to Buddhism, on the contrary, at the time of death of parents and grandparents, their children and grandchildren cry loudly, make noise, disturb the mental people who are about to die of filial piety. Indeed, this important moment is needed to make the person about to die in peace, do not make them so moved, so emotional that it is difficult to leave the world.
Another important thing is that, when near death, knowing that can not live, the predestined to let go, do not regret the wealth, beautiful houses, good children. This attachment makes it hard for people who are about to die. In the book, for example, the egret was clamped down by the clam, despite having enough powerful propellers, which could not fly.
It should be remembered that among karmic people, near-death karma (karma before death) is a great force in reincarnation. If there is still the mind of greed and affection, then we will be reincarnated again, in order to preserve our possessions, and make love for love again, forever and forever.
So in the moment of death, the person concerned should have a peaceful soul, not nostalgia for suffering, but on the contrary, must earnestly pray for the Pure Land's birth. And those close to them must avoid crying, holding on to the person who is about to die and have to recite the wholeheartedly mindfulness, so that the spirits of the deceased can gently escape.
V. FRENCH CONCEPT OF BUDDHISM (ATTITUDE) Easy to make and be sure of the results
Buddhism has thousands of dharma disciplines, while having the dharma practice of reciting Buddha's name is easier to cultivate. The other disciplines such as the bamboo tube eye opaque one eye up, while the Buddhist method of reciting Buddha like the right borer chisel bamboo right out. Both methods removed the weevil from the bamboo tube, but the latter method yielded faster results than the previous one.
Ancient people taught: "People who practice Zen but do not practice Pure Land (recite the Buddha's name), the ten people who mistakenly finish. There is also greed, meditation, as a tiger has power and grows more horns. " That is, the way of reciting the Buddha's name is sure, but also participating in Zen, even more certain. And those who do not practice Zen, nor do they practice Pure Land, are like lying on a hot iron bed and hugging a bronze pole; which means that without any cultivation, to create evil, you must fall into hell, be punished with misery. Once I lost my body, it was difficult to return to my body.
BECAUSE. QUOTE
The practice of reciting the Buddha's name, sure to achieve the desired result. Kinh Di Da, Kinh Luc Luc, Hoa Nghiem, Phuong Dang, etc ... are praising the Buddhist concept.
Bodhisattvas also practice the concept of reciting Buddha's name. As Mr. Manjushri Bodhisattva, in the verse of the vow, said: "Pray for the fall of the Dharma at the same time, to eradicate the most obstacles, face to face the Buddha Amitabha Buddha, that is, to gain peace ." (That is: May I die, except for the hindrances, seeing Amitabha before my eyes, will be reborn in the realm of peace).
His Holiness Samantabhadra, His Holiness the Buddha, His Longevity, His Immeasurable, His Excellency in the General Reverend, His Excellency The Great Teacher in Thien Thai Ton, His Excellency in the Honorable Hien Thu, and many other ancestors also specialize in reciting Buddha's name for rebirth in Pure Land.
The practice of reciting the Buddha's name has clear insight. As in China, Hue Vien Vien established a Union Society, specializing in Buddhist disciplines, three times saw Buddha. There are many other monks who practice the concept of reciting Buddha's name, when they die, they know before the time and time they die. In Vietnam, His Excellency Nhat Dinh Tu Hieu Pagoda, Mr. Tuong Van (in Hue), Venerable Te Xuyen (in Ha Nam) all knew three days before he passed away. Not only are they renunciants, but the laity like the boss of Thoi (Gia Dinh), Pho Kinh in Nam Dinh (North Vietnam) etc ... also know three days in advance.
Dharma reciting Buddha also has many other extraordinary experiences, not to mention.
VII. BENEFITS OF FRENCH BUDDHISM IN LIFE MONEY
Reciting Buddha's name has many benefits, not only in the next life, in the Buddha realm, is the main benefit, but there are also many practical benefits nowadays.
1. Reciting Buddha's name will eradicate sentient beings:
To recite sentient beings means to remember evil things such as greed, anger, arrogance ... Because of these thoughts, words or deeds are sinful. If we recite Buddha's name, then the mind no longer remembers thinking of bad things, the mouth and the body do not create evil karma, meaning that we have destroyed the mind of sentient beings. An hour of reciting Buddha's name, an hour of reciting sentient beings; One day, one month, one year, one life dedicated to reciting Buddha's name, is one day, one month, one year, one life to avoid reciting sentient beings, avoid evil, and do good deeds.
2. Reciting Buddha's name will eliminate the sadness of mind:
In times of sorrow and suffering, such as when seeing a scene of separated children, separated spouses, dissipated houses, etc. If we recite the Buddha's name, the sorrow and suffering will dissipate. Why? Because once we remember thinking of Amitabha Buddha and his realm, we will no longer bother to think of our own feelings. Reciting the Buddha's name, you can recite the defilements. If you recite Buddha's name, your mindfulness of thoughts will decrease. So, Co Duc said:
A Buddhist recitation of unjust shield ".
In short, the six syllables Namo Amitabha Buddha, have many benefits and are practically dissipating karma of karma. If one does not believe in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, there is Amitabha Buddha and reciting Buddha's name, there is still much benefit.
VIII. RESOLVED
1. Someone asked:
- Buddha has countless, why only recite Amitabha Buddha?
Reply:
- All the Buddhas are one on one foot as equality. Reciting Buddha Amitabha means reciting all the Buddhas. For example, in a large room, surrounded by hundreds of mirrors hung around the wall, we just stand looking into a mirror, but hundreds of mirrors reflect our image.
2. Someone asked:
- Buddha was everywhere, the Buddha scene is everywhere. Why not recite the Eastern Buddha and the Southern Buddha and just pray to the West of Ultimate Bliss?
Reply:
- It is true that Buddha realms are everywhere, you can pray to any realm, but we only pray for Western Buddha, for two reasons:
a) The Western Bliss Scene is the scene through which Buddha Shakyamuni introduces us, we know better. Coming to a realm that we have the idea of is always better than going to a place we are strange and not knowing at all.
b) We specialize in commemorating a certain realm, then the mind will be unique. If one recites one level after another, the next day recites another level, the mind will be scattered, the mind will not be focused. Like many reclining, easy to get lost. Shoot arrows to aim at a certain destination, to hope to hit. Practicing the most essential recitation of the Buddha's name is "being unconcerned".
C. CONCLUSION
The practice of reciting Buddha's name is one that is easier to practice. Reciting Buddha's name is not labor, effort, difficulty. The intellectual, the merchant, the farmer, the boatman, wherever and whenever, can recite. The practice of reciting the Buddha's name was easy to cultivate and the result was sure, fullness is reborn in the West of Bliss.
But to get results, the prerequisite is to have: Tin, Hanh, May full; there must be; Ly dung dung, should not accept the drop, or accept the drop. It is essential to recite the one-pointed mind without disturbance, to be reborn in Ecstasy, no longer suffering: birth, old age, sickness, death.
We have been born in this world, who doesn't know that having a body is suffering, even if it is fun, it is only for a little while, and suffering is chasing after it, like two wheels rolling behind one's feet. cows. So we should specialize in reciting Buddha's name, so that we can soon be liberated. The book has sentences:
Mac enter the future hybrid concept of Buddha.
She mostly teenagers . "
Means: Don't wait until you are old to recite Buddha's name; In the graveyard, there is a shortage of teenagers' graves. Therefore, in the hour of remaining healthy, we must diligently recite Buddha's name. Knowing impermanence is still patiently waiting for us until tomorrow? END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/1/2020.
