TEN THE ONE WHO ENTERS SUTRA.

TEN HAPPY BIRTHDAY

* * *
The story of Ten memories reborn
The story goes that in the past, there was a very fierce person, rough temperament, distrust of cause and effect, living by hunting. Suddenly, he fell ill, near death. During his coma, he found himself falling to hell, seeing execution tools and the many beings he had killed countless times. He woke with a start, regretted thinking,  'All my life I did not believe the monk taught, today dream about these things, indeed as the sutra said.'  Then he said to everyone in the house:  'You must think of a way to save me !' Descendants in the home asked:  "How to save? He said,  "If you don't know how to save me, then hurry up and send someone to the temple and ask a teacher to come and save me."
The family members followed what he said and went to the temple to ask for a monk. When he saw the monk come, two tears flowed from his eyes and said,  "Please mercifully, mercifully save the disciple!"
The monk said,  "You have not believed in the Triple Gem all your life, now you are about to die, afraid that it will not save you, it is too difficult!"
He said,  "Is that true, teacher? Do you read in the Buddhist scriptures that there are cases of sinners like disciples, when there is a way to save?
The monk replied,  "Yes! In the Amitabha Sutta   it says ... ".  The monk then read the sutta and explained it to him. After listening, he was extremely happy, while he was bedridden and sat up, saying:  "Buddha said there is hell, that word is really true! Now I heard the sutras from the teacher recite, Buddha said ten recitations of rebirth, the disciple was also reborn. "  Then he said to everyone in the house:  "Bring a lamp here!"
Family members brought lamps and incense burners to him. He said:  "I only have a little more time to fall to hell, in the cauldron of fire, now use incense burner again, put lights and incense in your hands."
At that time, his left hand held the lamp, his right hand held incense, face facing the West, even mindful of reciting Buddha's name. If you have thought of less than ten, then tell everyone:
-The Buddha came from the West, along with the crowd is very crowded, and generous life reception we sat in the Lotus Hall.
As soon as he finished, he stopped breathing.
It is the story about the mystery of the theory "Ten thoughts rebirth" is recorded in the  Pure Land treatise .
Experience says Ten concept of rebirth
Indeed, in the  Buddha Amitabha Buddha Sutta  mentioned the theory of ten rebirths, and said that the result of rebirth is the Lower Being. Record:
"The Buddha told Ananda and Vi-hyi that: Low-level birth-giving is the case of sentient beings committing unwholesome crimes such as creating crimes of the five contradictions and evil ... Those who cause ignorance cause evil karma. when he dies, he will surely fall into evil ways, go through many lifetimes of great suffering; but if before the time of death, he or she met the friendly, helpful, knowledgeable man, preached to the Buddha and told him to recite the Buddha's name. If the person is suffering from pressing pain and cannot recite Buddha's name, then the wise and wise friend should advise him: 'If you cannot recite Buddha's name, then claim the title of Buddha Amitayus'. Such a claim to the mind of mind, making the sound of professors uninterrupted, full ten times proclaiming Nam-tissue Amitabha Buddha, thanks to confessing the name of Buddha here that in each one recite the guilty merit so it must suffer 80 memories of life and death.
After rebirth in the World of Ultimate Bliss, he is in the lotus for 12 lifetimes. When the lotus flower has just bloomed, he sat on the lotus seat, then the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, The Chi, used the sound of great compassion to tell him about the true destruction of crime. Listening to the wedding Festival, instant play center Bodhi. The person who  died in this case is called the Lower Product " (DTK / ĐCTT, episode 12, sutta number 365, Buddha theory of innumerable Buddhist sutras).
Recite Buddha's name and name

The passage above is the true basis for the ten concept of rebirth. Of particular note is that this passage shows the difference between 'reciting Buddha's name' and 'claiming Buddha's name'. The original Chinese characters are as follows: '汝若 不能 念 彼佛 者。 應 稱 歸命 無量 壽 佛': 'If you cannot recite (the name) Buddha (that), then confess your infinite  Buddha's life' ' .
Thus, it is necessary to distinguish between 'reciting Buddha's name' and 'claiming the name of Buddha'.
The Pure Land Buddhism proclaims its mastery of reciting the Buddha's name, and some people claim that it is the Buddha's name. In fact, naming is not the same as reciting Buddha's name. Reciting the Buddha name may not be a name, but it is not necessarily a Buddha's name.
It is important to distinguish clearly that mindfulness is mind, Sanskrit is smati, meaning mind remembers the object, things not to be forgotten. Mindfulness is a type of mental conception, one of the five types of mental consciousness. Its meaning is the concept of mindfulness, forcing the mind to focus on a realm, remember clearly, not to forget. Usually, we often say 'nostalgia', that is, to show the mind about the past. But the word of recitation here, in the Buddhist sense, communicates all three lifetimes, is to remember to think of the past realm that makes the present clear.
Mindfulness is one of the methods of Buddhist practice, such as practicing the consistent book (tracking and counting breathing in and out) called an original mindfulness; reciting Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Contemplation, Precepts and Thien is called Six thoughts; in 37 assistant products there are four foundations of mindfulness ... all are dharma practices by mindfulness.
In order to attain samadhi, it is imperative to have mindfulness, thus gradually entering concentration. In the suttas it says, our mind is disturbed, when we think of this and do not think of that moment, there is no moment to stop, so we need to give it an object so that it can be attached to it, to bind it. again, making it slowly remain.
The quality of commentary  says 'mindfulness is clear mind, mind nature'. The sentence of amnesty  says 'recite is to remember clearly the object not to forget'. The idealist  definition defines: 'What is mindfulness? Its essence is the mind's unforgettable memory of the scene it was once familiar with. Its purpose is to make medicine for the mind. That is, regularly remembering scenes that have been received not to be forgotten may lead to samadhi. For a scene where its form and type have never been received, recitation does not arise at all. Assuming the object has been received but not recorded clearly, neither does it arise. '
Through this, we clearly see that, for a lifelong unbelievers of the Three Jewels, creating misdemeanor sins, doing ten evil deeds ... causing all kinds of sins, he must have never practiced the image and merit of Buddha, that is, for the scene where its form and type have never been received, one cannot recite Buddha's name, because the mind-consciousness of mind does not arise at all. In other words, for a person who has never known the temple, never recited sutras, recited Buddha's name, he must have never known the world of the Buddhas, never known the Western Bliss scene, nor did he know it. have Amitabha Buddha, that is, they have never practiced the pure Western seeds, then for these people it is impossible to recite Buddha's name.
Suppose someone once went to the temple, also had a couple of times chanting, reciting Buddha's name, also heard of the Western world of Ultimate Bliss, heard of the merit of Amitabha Buddha, which has been receive objects, but those objects are not clearly recorded, the mind does not arise, he can not recite Buddha's name.
So, with such people, until the time of death, fortunate to meet the knowledge-friendly good friends revealed, even though the knowledge-friendly friends have said that the Western realm of Ultimate Bliss, only for reciting the Buddha, but for with the scene that was never familiar, never received like that, even if he followed the instructions of the blessing, recite the Buddha according to the blessing, He is confessing the name of Buddha only. That is, for a person, for a scene where its form and type have never been received, or are forced by inconceivable suffering, Compassionate mercy encourages and single-mindedly recited, reciting Buddha's name continuously impermanent, that the other person can follow. If the concept of painting enough ten times "Namo Amitabha Buddha", immediately by reciting that force, the sin in many lives will be dissipated. At the same time, the golden lotus appeared like a sun in front of her eyes. In the instant of rebirth in the world of Ultimate Bliss. Lying in the lotus for twelve lifetimes, the lotus has just blossomed. At that time, the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and Mahamudra told the truth about the truths of the dharma and taught to eradicate sin. After listening, born Hy wedding Festival, the mind emanates supreme Bodhi, as in the Buddha Amitabha Sutta.
Reciting the Buddha in such a secondary way is called professing the name of the Buddha, that is, calling the name of the Buddha smoothly, or called concealing the mind of Buddha. Scattering the mind of Buddha is mentioned in the  Great Product , and the  weakly reborn student  explained: 'Scattering the mind of Buddha is reciting Buddha's name when doing promiscuous things like walking and sitting'. However, the theoretical basis of this concept of Buddhist scattering, as mentioned above, comes from the  Sūtra of Infinite Life , but is also  affirmed by the  Confucian Dharma of Lotus . Sutra says: "" If anyone enters the temple tower, only once confesses 'Nam-Buddha', only once and even with a distraction, they are bound to attain ultimate enlightenment. " .
Thus, in principle, the conception of the Buddha's mind not only appears in the Pure Land sutras but also goes beyond the other scriptures. And from these classic establishments, later on, there were the schools of reciting the Buddha's name, namely the Pure Land True Religion of Than Loan in Japan, advocating that just reciting the name of Buddha would be enough for people to recite Buddha's name. birth. How rare! END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH,AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.7/11/2019.
