A young man who lived in Xa-ta, listened to the Buddha's sermon, turned his mind towards the path, asking to be ordained as a monk, when the Bhikkhu-stilts became known as Elder  Tissa . After some time, boils suddenly surfaced all over him. First, the pus is not bigger than the mustard seed, then increases with peas, peas, apple seeds, and " vilva " fruits . Eventually, the boil broke and the whole elder's body sank , so he was named  Pùtigatta tissa . Later, his bones began to rot, and no one wanted to take care of him. His internal and external medicine was covered with dry blood, which looked like a net. The bureaucratic companions could not take care of him, so he chased him out of the bureaucracy to lie on the ground without help.

Buddha never forgot to observe the world twice a day, dawn and afternoon came. He looked from the horizon to the interior without missing, and saw Elder  Tissa . Knowing that he was going to have Arahantship and no one to rely on except Buddha, the Blessed One went from the aroma to the kitchen. He washed the pot of water and placed it on the charcoal stove and waited. When the water was hot, he came and grabbed the foot of Tissa's bed  .

At that time the monks asked the Buddha:

Please go ahead, we will carry him to the kitchen.

The Blessed One brought a basin and poured hot water. He told the monks to take off  Tissa's clothes, wash them in hot water, and dry them in the sun. Then he wiped himself with hot water, scrubbed and sunbathed. After taking a shower, his foreign medicine was also dry. World Religion wrong for him and told him to take underwear to wash hot and dry water. When his grandfather was dry, his underwear was dry. Dressed in gold robes and the other wearing a  Tissa's robe, she  lay down on her bed, naked and calm. The Blessed One stood at the head of the bed and told him:

- Bhikkhu-stilts, consciousness is about to leave him, soon his body will become useless as a log lying on the ground.

And he reads the Dhammapada:

(41) Not long after this body,

Will lie on the ground,

Abandoned, unconscious,

Like a useless log.

At the end of the verse, Head of  Pùtigatta Tissa is  A-la-Han and entered Nirvana. World Religion for conducting ceremonies Tra-Pi, get amnesty-benefit and build stupas to worship.

The Bhikkhu-stilts asked The Blessed:

- White World Religion! Where did Elder  Tissa be  reborn?

- He entered Nirvana.

- White World Religion! a Bhikkhu-stilts A-la-Han why the body is still like that, bone rotten? His past life career how did he witness Arahantship?

-Bhikkhu-stilts, everything happens due to past life karma.

Past stories:

During the time of Ca-lettuce, the elder  Tissa  was a bird-trap. He caught a lot of birds, most of them brought into the palace or sold. If the birds were killed and stored for too long, they would not be sold, the birds would rot, and to keep the birds from flying, he often broke their leg bones and wing bones, put them in a place to sell next day. . If too many traps were caught, he also ate a few.

One day, the aromatic cooked food had just served, and an arhat stopped at his door for alms. He suddenly found peace of mind, thinking that he had killed and strong flesh so he wanted to offer him. And he took the bowl, filled the fragrant food, the five stalks sown into the ground, and the ceremony came back and said:

- False religion! Bless me to the highest fruits that you have witnessed.

The elder dedicates his merits to him.

The monks, because he had broken the bird's feet, had his limbs sick and his bones rotten. Because he offered good food to the Arhat, he witnessed the Arahantship.
