On the occasion of the  Enlightenment ,  we  try  to understand  the meaning  of how the victory  of the Bodhisattva Sidhattha 's  army in the night of  becoming enlightened  .

When it comes to Buddha's feelings of defeating  Ma Wang , almost  everyone  imagines  the image of  the sharp-headed devil, the fangs, the buffalo head, and  the terrifying horse face  that surrounds him and he also uses  miraculous magic  to resist ; after a tough fight with miraculous power, he has  conquered  the demonic  a  glorious  glorious.

From the  Demon King  and   the  Buddhist victory  not only means that simple,  Maou  has five types:

-  Ghost  disturbance (Kilesa māra). - The  khandha ma  (Khandha māra). -   Ghost  practice (Abhisankhāra māra) . 
- Death of ghosts  (Maccu māra). -  Chu  ma  (Devaputta māra).

All five ghosts hinder the  process of enlightenment . Therefore , the   five- sense victory means to  feel  and  overcome  the obstacles of the  demon king , especially the ghost of  afflictions  to  reach  the  enlightened end to  liberation. We  will  in turn  find out what the five spirits are; How did the Buddha  overcome those  ghosts  ?

1.  Ghost trouble :

We  take  note that the  passage of the following:

"This  demon king ,  pleasure  is your   first army , the second is  dissatisfied , the three are craving, the fourth is the craving , the year is the  deep kiss  ( drowsiness ,  drowsiness ), the six are afraid, seven are  skeptical , eight is defamatory  bigotry , nine is the  fame  and ten is  too romantic  (egotistical, ...). this  satanic , you are the hero of world war, they reside in the  people  bad far from  being dumb, the weak will fail, but the goods that can  be overcome  will be achieve true happiness ... I would rather die on the battlefield than live without fail ... ".

Reading the scriptures, if  we pay attention  we  will see that  the Buddha  used the word  "ma king"  with the meaning of  internal afflictions in the  ugly evil people   ,  appearing  in  the form  of  akusala cittas and  mental states  like greed, golf, laziness,  doubt ,  fear ... or under the physical needs such as  hunger , sleep ... those  weakness  has always been dominated  by the  obstacles  heart  physiology , but  Bodhisattva  the  aspirant  tenacity, he has won all  maras  it.

Did  the Buddha  use  divine  transformation , miraculous power or an   external force to win the military? Does  he only fought there  once  under root  Bodhi tree  in  Bodhi Gaya  which may  surrender  was war minister demon ghost of layer on layer so?

The life  of  the Buddha  proved  that except for the best  cases  , he  rarely  used  divine  powers , because he did not want  his disciples  or  outsiders  to take refuge in him for the miraculous power they had to come for  the purpose of liberation.  never mind.

Furthermore,  the purpose  of  the Buddha  is to turn evil into goodness, transform into enlightenment with the  grace of the Ba-la-secret  that he  practices in  countless lives  , never using  authority and violence  to overcome the  evil king.. Strength  three Perfections are virtues:  generosity ,  morality ,  sexual ly ,  wisdom ,  diligence , patience,  determination , honesty ,  compassion ,  joy and equanimity .  Bodhisattva having cultivated a la-bhikkhu, noble qualities surpassed   thisworld , in  countless lives , that is, in the  countless  battles of the  demon king that  went on  continuously,  and he experienced  countless  victories. defeated ,  until  the  last time , when   full- blissful ,  intellectual-  wise , He  won the  devil king , never failed again.

So triumph  negativity ghost  is to win yourself and only have to win this new  considerably  more:  "Self-defeating  indeed cross section  glorious  than winning others. Oil Heaven,  Gandhabba ,  Mara  or  Pham Thien , no one can defeat the man who  has overcome and live in self-sufficiency ".  ( Dharma sutras  104, 105).

2.  Ghost aggregates :

Khandhas ghost  is the  delusion  of  ego , in other words that is  down is ,  ego ,  ego defense  only in  concept , in reasoning , in  illusion  , not in  reality . Concept  with a  self  permanent  invariance  is  completely  wrong , because the so-called me just a  combination  of  these  factors  psychological and  physical  always  change  according to the law impermanent , not a  factor  yet everlasting eternity .  

These  factors  psychological and  physical  that  includes :

- Sac:  physical elements  such  as eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body  combined  by  four great  earth, water, fire and wind.

- Life: the  feeling element  such  as discomfort (suffering),  pleasant  (peanut) or  suffering is not  lost (discharge) when the interior  is exposed  to the  external environment .

- Thought: the  perception element  acts  as  a function of identifying  objects through the  concept of (pannatti)  newly formed or accumulated in  the past .  

- Action:  Factors  decided  tendency  reaction  center  management  on the object, such as  fancy  or  disgusted ... In other words, practice is  the creation of  operational  and evil .

- Consciousness:  The  mind element acts  as a foundation from when a  mind arises  on the object  until  it dies. Knowledge  not only  recognize  objects more clearly thought through sensation, perception, and especially onion has provided  information  during the  process of  perception , that  knowledge  also plays  the role  recognition , retention (Tadālambana)  of this information on signing memory  (bhavanga) .

These five  elements are  charming, but they are born, interdependent and then destroyed, and then the charm of the scene  changes  to create a continuous stream of processes   in the deep- suffering suffering basin  . Because the  birth and death are  so  complex  of life,  people  keep on  hoping to accept the  righteousness and friendship  to become  slaves for the  ghosts , colors, feelings, thoughts, actions and consciousness, which are difficult to escape.

With  wisdom  supernatural ,  Buddha  saw clearly  what we  are just  five aggregates , have signed, with tan,  very often change , so he broke the  stumbling  ego . That is the feeling of the  five aggregates  .

3.   Ghost practice :

Dharma  has many different meanings, but here  refers to  the actions of karma of body, speech, and mind. There are three types of actions:

-  blessing :  the now  improved as :  generosity ,  morality ,  meditation ,  reverence ,  service ,  compassion ,  joy and equanimity  etc ...

-  Africa  blessed :  the  unwholesome career  such as:  killing ,  stealing ,  adultery ,  lying , drinking, jealousy,  sting , bigotry ....

-  Real  issue:  the behavior  is not  good and evil  , or  the practice  of meditation and wisdom.

Karma  and evil  of this stems from  negativity  and it plays a  role  important in the  Order of collective  negativity , thus suffering increasingly  accumulating ,  reincarnations  each time an  increase . So the feeling  of the  practice of evil is  to destroy  the formation of karma, to  be freed  from the  attachment  of  good and evil  as  the Buddha  taught in Sa # myutta Nikaya:  "Because of being  dominated  by  greed ,  anger , delusion  that karma formed, that is the root of all  suffering. The annihilation  is greed, anger and ignorance, which is the destruction of the  kinetic force of  formation and all  suffering must end. "  The Buddha  and the  Arhats  are the ones who have mastered the  dominance  of karma, that is, I have been  serving the  practice of magic.

4. Death killers:

Removal death or  death  ghost  is  death . The Buddha  taught : "All  sentient beings  must die, because there must be death to have all the births" (Sabbe sattā marissanti, marananta ṁ  hi jīvita ṁ ).  In  the Dhammapada , He also taught: "Not to fly up to  nowhere , not to dive to the bottom of the sea, not to escape into the deep cave of the deep, not anywhere in  the world  can  escape  death".

Whether the  East  or the  West , everyone must recognize  that  obvious truth  . Humanity  no matter how  civilized it  is, medicine no matter how  advanced  it is, cannot find a method, a  spiritual medicine  can help  people  escape  death , because  "No one can  avoid  death! ".

In fact,  we  are dying every second, every minute, not only when we close our eyes, but we call death. Each one small point  of time  (moment)  passed ,  we  were a little older, the cells were  destroyed  a little. But the  transformation is  so fast that we can't get out.

As long as  sentient beings  are  ignorant ,  craving ,  affliction ,  pollution,  they are still  governed  by  the law of  death. On the contrary, the  Buddha  exterminated  ignorance,  so he no longer acted, ie, no longer created karma. Without action, you cannot be born. Consciousness does not give birth to  form ,  or  mind and body are not  born. Body and mind are  not born, how can we  enter : eyes, ears, nose, body, mind and mind. Without  rummage  , there is no touching. No touch is  not born out  feeling  happy suffering. Without joy and suffering, there is no love,  no  love and hate. Without love hate, there is no  attachment , want,  clinging , holding .... Without a player, there is no friendship, no birth, no aging, no death. The Buddha is  no longer  ignorant ,  craving ... so he has escaped from the  birth,  which means that he has won the  death-  lord.

5.  Chu Thien  Ma:

In the five types of  ghosts , only the  gods  are  ghosts , and the other four are   both internal ghosts . But the ghost outside is not as dangerous as ghosts in his heart, so  the Buddha  taught : "Although winning thousands of troops on the battlefield is not equal to winning yourself, winning yourself is the most glorious victory" . Gods  ghosts are gods, even the  demons wrong  or  beings  in  the realm  Asura ( Asura ), Yakshis ( Yakkha ) ... The class  non multiplication  has the  support, sometimes harassing  monks  in a quiet place  . The   largest phantom is the heavenly  king  Tha Hoa Tu Thien .

The less virtuous people will be terrified and  rotten  before the  divine power  of  the ghost , but the higher  degrees of virtue  and  willpower  will  not only not be overwhelmed by  magic,  but will also give  compassion , immeasurable compassion  .  they  returned to  the right path . In business has recorded many  cases  Buddha  touched  celestial ghost , as  the case  that ball  Alavaka  or  naga Nando-pananda ... though  supernormal  generosity still have to  surrender  before Germany Bi - Tri - Pure  peerless  of  Buddha . Because of that, he is called the  Divine Master and Master of Heaven and Man.

Devas  also mean the  desire  of those who want to  become  gods  or want to go to  heaven  to enjoy pleasure. That hope is also an   internal obstruction that  hinders our  progress   to the enlightened shore  .
