Lessons from the story of Buddha and lake.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.

"When the mind is stirred up, becomes chaotic and confused, let it be rested" that is the lesson drawn from the story of the Buddha and the lake.

Buddha story and lake

The story of the Buddha and the lake has conveyed the message that in life we need to keep our mind calm to solve the problem.

Once, the Buddha and his disciples walked from one town to another. On the way, they happened to pass by a lake. Everyone stopped there and Buddha told one of his followers: "I am very thirsty. Please give me some water from that lake. ”

The disciple immediately walked to the lake. When he arrived, he saw a few villagers washing clothes in the water, at the same time, a bull car began to cross the lake. As a result, the water in the lake was stirred up very opaque and gray. The disciple immediately thought, "How can I bring this muddy water to the Buddha to drink?" Therefore, he returned and told the Buddha: "Sir, the water in that lake is very turbid . I don't think it's appropriate to drink anymore. ”
Hearing that, the Buddha immediately said, "Then let us go over the trees to rest for a while." After about half an hour, the Buddha once again told the other disciple to go to that lake to get water for him to drink. The disciple obediently returned to the lake. This time he saw that the water in the lake was completely clear, the mud had settled down and the water above could completely drink. Therefore, he took some water into the vase and brought it to the Buddha to drink.
The Buddha looked into the lake, then looked at the disciple again and said: "Look, when you let the mud in the water settle down, you will have clean water. You don't need to spend any effort. ”

Always keep your mind calm to solve the problem

In 66 things the Buddha taught, the Buddha's words teach how to value life: When you are happy, you must think that this joy is not eternal. When you suffer, think that this pain is not permanent.

How many times have you lost your temper and tried to "push" yourself to make hasty decisions? How many times have you forced your mind to think about things that you don't know what to call yourself? How many times have you regretted the hasty decisions made while losing your temper? ...

Your mind is the same. When it is stirred up, becomes chaotic and confused, let it be relaxed, don't think and don't do anything. Do not make yourself think so that while making hasty decisions to make mistakes, leaving regrets and regret for decisions while losing such calmness. Give it some time, it will stabilize itself. We can judge and make the best decisions in life when we are calm.
One of us must have made the wrong decision while losing our temper, but consider it a life-long lesson, keep in mind to calmly consider the issue thoroughly.
If things are too complicated, let your mind rest. When the mind is at ease, you will see things become smooth and easy, you can solve them smoothly! Always keep calm and don't let disappointment destroy things that we can deal with gently and politely. END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.15/6/2019.
