 3.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.
Knowing is the natural ability in the process of promoting human awareness and wisdom. Seeing arises when the senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind) come into contact with objects (colors, sounds, scents, qualities, objects, ideas). The interaction between the two elements of the subject and the scene give rise to the corresponding awareness; thereby forming concepts, ideologies, conceptions, guidelines, arguments, etc. in the inevitable process of awareness and judgment, so that humans evolve and grow faster than any other creature on Earth.

If a person has no concept of things around, he is incapable of thinking, judging, not inferring, imagining, not critiquing, judging, indistinguishable, selective, or not understanding the communication language from outside, etc., he is still an incompetent, stupid, unhappy person.

In the social community, people are superior to other species by knowing relationships, interacting, communicating with each other to define language, scripts, symbols, codes, etc. in order to communicate thoughts. , multidimensional, multifaceted, rich and diverse information easily and smoothly. Since then, education, rules, rituals, moral principles, ethical norms, social norms, etc. have been formed. No one can deny that wonderful evolution of human beings from ancient wildlife to modern civilization.

However, strangely, if we calculate to find the average happiness index per capita, we are not sure what modern civilized person is happier than the ancient ruins! What is certain is that we can clearly see that material comfort has not yet offset the worries, fears, tensions, sorrow that modern civilized people suffer.

It is the preeminent achievements made by people who have invented, regulated, and given their utility to become the binding frameworks. Through the rich imagination of human beings, the most wonderful, miserable thoughts, conceptions, guidelines, dogmas, philosophies and philosophies have easily frozen to become a stubborn, contradictory bias resistance, of course, is war, terrorism, fear, suffering, etc.

All of this comes from the wrong knowledge that the Buddha called wrong view. Human awareness is often expressed through imagination, or based on knowledge that is largely defined by humans, rather than perceiving truth truthfully by intellect. Therefore, the products obtained from imagination and knowledge are not subjective, unreliable. Even science, no matter how objective, still goes from hypothesis to verification and conclusion. So many previous scientific conclusions that were conceived to have been eternal laws were soon proved to be defective, false or outdated. The knowledge that comes from imagination, hypothesis, speculation, reasoning, definition, etc., may be true to the conventions that society recognizes, which is called custom (sammuti sacca),

Looking more closely, it is easy to see that many social regulations do not really reflect objectively, because most of these rules stem from subjective sentiments or unilateral reason. Therefore, there are innumerable different, conflicting, contradictory, opposing ideas, conceptions, concepts, creating persistent prejudices, leading to misunderstandings, discontent, division of division in the relationship between those family members, unions, factions or in the entire social community. This, of course, brings misery to humankind, as we have seen every day everywhere.

There are two attitudes in seeing, one is honest and objective attitude, two are deviant and subjective. Seeing leads every action, talking and thinking. So, seeing the right attitude will lead to proper and good behavior, but with the wrong attitude will lead to the treatment of evil and deviance.

So, what is it to know with an honest and objective attitude? It is a clear, static, direct understanding of the object; not hidden by any subjective idea, thought, concept or sentiment; not through any concept of form, name, or symbol; not entangled in any idealism, prejudice, tradition, practice or doctrine. As soon as you really let go completely, safely, your mind will be completely filled with reality, and right then, seeing directly will promote natural, objective and honest effects.

The mind knows the mind which is quiet and clear, that is, there is full, natural wisdom. But when you do not let go of the ideological opinion of the illusory self to allow wisdom to quietly illuminate independently, but rely only on the foreign knowledge gained by the subjective purpose of the heart. ambition, you have inadvertently forgotten the nature in your innocent light! From then on, you make an effort to find, passionate about the accumulation of knowledge and possessions that you desire to achieve! So it is the departments that attain the attainment from the prejudice, the charism of that illusory self that disperses the full perception of the conscious mind in nature. So the Buddha warned:

“What a disadvantage!

The foolish mind is born.

Cancel your bright part.

Self-splitting itself.

For ease of understanding, we are temporarily divided into four types of awareness of awareness:

1) The perception of sensory intuition, called sensory awareness, is  actually the knowledge of the sensory intuition, including seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching when there is a relationship between the senses and corresponding objects. Although it is called sensory intuition, enlightenment is limited by the condition of the senses and objects, so there is still relative and imperfections so the word sense here does not mean enlightenment. However, it has not been subjectively distorted by conscious reason. Sensory intuition is the innate, passive, non-operative mind (inhuman, heterosexual, operative). Although relatively and simply it is still useful as a basic means of awareness.

2) Awareness of reason, manifested through the form of enlightenment and knowledge.  It is the rational activity belonging to the awareness of gender awareness and gender awareness through concepts, ideologies, concepts, and limited knowledge obtained from learning, thinking, analyzing and reasoning according to social conventions. This kind of understanding is only valid in the context of insignificance, not the ultimate truth, which can change over time, space, by any consensus of each social community.

3) The perception of touch, manifestation through spirituality,  is a special kind of intuitive psychological awareness that works in unconsciousness so the consciousness is unknowable, unthinkable. This unknown knowledge is strange, it works in a way that is difficult to measure. For example, teachers naturally answer questions that a student just wants to ask. Teachers are able to touch but are not aware of that touch. Thus, awareness also has the ability to know by unconsciousness that Western philosophy is called psychological intuition or telepathy. This proves that when consciousness does not work, the mind (mindfulness) will continue to be active, but even if it is not possible to be conscious of it, because the consciousness always kills usually follow its object.

4) The perception of intellect, manifested in the form of wisdom, triumphant and willow.  It is the attitude of awareness, the direct perception of the object of true nature, regardless of knowledge, quantitative, thinking, analysis, comparison, reasoning in the field of reason. Real nature is the nature of nature, the truth is common everywhere, every time, operating on the internal principle, not changed by the notions of social community or subject to personal subjectivity.

All four types of awareness are indispensable in most life activities. Although the perception of reason is only true in the proverbial way, you still have to follow good rules or rules, because it is a common benefit for everyone in the social community. Therefore there is no need to try to eliminate knowledge and knowledge, because it is still useful in many areas. And it will retreat naturally when the mind-consciousness (wisdom) arises, because the knowledge of reason cannot exist on the real object of insight.

However, if you are only aware of the social conventions, you will not realize the ultimate truth which is always the true nature (the base) in the core of life. Neglecting the true nature, running after the Prime Minister is the cause of all the unhappiness that human beings are suffering. So it is important that you are awake enough to adapt to the cognitive genres in order to experience life objectively, accurately, honestly, and find out what is common sense (customary soles) what is the ultimate truth (base).

There is no need for any training effort to achieve the direct awareness of conscious mind, because nature knows that there is wisdom in natural light. When the mind let go, silent silence, not being reasoned to be concealed by the mind, the nature knows itself, it is the mind of awareness. But when you deliberately seek to train to possess wisdom, it immediately disappears. Because as soon as you start your mind to train awareness, you inadvertently create an illusionary self along with the process of cause and effect and time, so the mind is not awake to know reality directly (sandiṭṭhiko ) timeless (Akaliko). At that time, your awareness is only limited knowledge of personal reason, not mindfulness comes from awareness in natural light. Reasonable knowledge can be good, but certainly only relative, narrow in the known,

In Vipassanā meditation, there are three core elements: diligence, mindfulness and awareness. Effort is not to let go of the lung of liberation according to one's thoughts. It is the delusion that makes the mind fail, mindfulness and hope, so when all these thoughts are lost, the mindless and silent mind returns completely to reality, which is mindfulness. The mind is no longer concealed by the idea, delusion, and the emptiness of self-awareness is able to see reality in a comprehensive, transparent and pure way, without any confusion. Therefore, as soon as the mind let go, unconsciousness, then the mindlessness in the morning self-developed the intellectual mind to enlighten the reality, but wisdom is not created by the efforts of the ego. So ultimately, only the mindfulness of mindfulness without the diligent mindfulness of awareness.

You should note that the two elements of mindfulness and awareness cannot be separated in Vipassanā meditation, so many people assume that these two factors are not different. In fact, although they support each other and share a real object, they have completely separate characteristics and functions. Mindfulness is the complete mind with the object of reality (no longer possessive energy), while the mindfulness sees that object in an honest and pure way (no longer thinking). As a mirror, directed at an object that is firm and complete, it immediately reflects the object's honesty. The mirror rotates in the other direction, such as mindfulness, the mirror is vibrating, such as nostalgia, and the surface of the mirror is not as flat as if it is mindful, so it cannot be seen clearly. Also,

Mindfulness has been introduced in chapter 2. In this chapter 3 we talk about the characteristics and functions of awareness. As mentioned above, awareness is the intellectual nature available in nature that is silent, pure and natural. It is possible to respond through 6 consciousnesses, which can also be independent of seeing the six consciousnesses operating through the state of mentality, so that awareness can observe the true nature of body, feeling, and mind, France.

For example, when you are breathing, if you are not mindful (that is mindful), you clearly see the state of breathing naturally occurring in the body, then you are awake. You just need to quietly perceive the natural breathing state without reacting, not intervening to try to control the breath in any method, the mind immediately awake to see the true nature of that breathing state. Do not try to breathe in a predetermined process for the purpose of concentration or find out what is in it. In doing so, you bind yourself in the limits of lustful reasoning. Accidentally you fall into the middle of the two forces of greed and the field. In other words, you are motivated by adversity, while the Buddha teaches us not to get involved, then awareness can show its true function.

Also, while walking, standing, sitting, lying, or performing a large and small movement of body, awareness helps you to fully and honestly realize the state of the posture or movement. , no distraction, no other idea. Without awareness, instead of seeing the state of movement in a simple way, you often tend to attach the idea of "I": I go, I stand, I sit, I lie, I eat I drank, etc. "I" was originally a hypothetical, conventional, not true concept, but it had been deeply ingrained in your mind for a long time and became an illusionary, obstructive and obscure self. blur the true nature of everything.

For feelings, if you lack awareness, then the illusionary person immediately intervenes. We always resist and seek to stop the feeling of suffering, so we create anger, and at the same time we like and find ways to hold on to the feeling of being lost, creating a craving mind. The self is also not satisfied with the feeling of discharge - without misery, it tends to struggle to find the feeling of being lost, so it creates a mind of insecurity, exuberance and confusion. In all three cases, only awareness can help you feel impartially, honestly feeling the feelings that are happening in your body and mind without interfering with a subjective psychological response.

Many people mistakenly have a sense of awareness with the state of consciousness, thus promoting the role of consciousness in meditation! Even try to keep the constant sense that they think is free! Consciousness is only a mind which arises according to its object, which means that when there is an object, it arises, when there is no object it dies. Because of the dependence on such an object, it leads to the second misconception that it is so important to regard the object that if it is not there must be an object to nurture the continuity of consciousness, but it is actually a secret. it is just an effort to prolong the existence of an illusionary self.

Vigilance is the quality of awareness that is innocent, it is able to see the activity of consciousness - to see the cessation of that conscious mind. That is why the Buddha taught in the four foundations of mindfulness is to be able to be aware of the reality of body, feeling, mind and dharma without relying on it, without being attached to any dharma. More subtle is to see the state of mind as soon as it arises on an object. For example, when you see a flower, your mind arises, but your consciousness is attracted to the color, the shape, the fragrance of the flower, so you are not aware of yourself, but your awareness is visible. the whole happens when your favorite mind has arisen and then gone away and when, if it does not see the impermanence and non-self nature of the mind. Also, for other states of mind, such as loving-kindness or hatred, stability or distraction, Attachment or serenity, entanglement or self-sufficiency etc. awareness is seen as a mirror of honest reflection, not interfering with any subjective psychological response. Consciousness can be interfered with by ego and mine, while awareness is impossible for us to grasp, simply because the mindfulness of the dhammas is non-self. In other words, when the illusion is absent, there is real awareness.

In summary, awareness is not limited to the scope of consciousness, it is precisely through awareness that consciousness, consciousness, consciousness, consciousness, body and consciousness see as real, sounding like real, feeling like real, tri like real. Absolutely honest tri-ants are called pure views.

*

While the illusory self endeavors to promote the process of perfecting the small self to become a great self by way of forming thoughts, treatises and cultivation methods and techniques to achieve knowledge and possession (but Tri only cultivates wrong view, and attains only to strengthen craving), then the awareness always enlightens to correct misperceptions with pure knowledge or conscious wisdom. Therefore, in Vipassanā meditation, the Buddha emphasized the mindfulness factor to help meditators meditate on the mistakes of mindfulness and defilements:

- Adjust wrong views:  wrong views are misconceptions or advocates deviant about themselves, life, surrounding circumstances, universal universe. For example, the theory of Thuong Nga, Dinh Me, Duy Than, without karmic cause and effect, all phenomena are random, advocating happiness depending on material conditions or rewarded by the Spirit, etc. The concepts of martial arts This guess, whether derived from personal or collective beliefs, a people or all humanity - will ultimately result in suffering and unhappiness. Only those who know clearly in the morning experience their objective truth in order to adjust these bigotry views.

- Breaking stereotypes:  Prejudices or prejudices are views, judgments or conclusions, one-way, not subject to review, change or correction. For example, men and women, discrimination, class discrimination, etc. Stereotypes prevent creativity, evolution, and obstruct objective and honest perception. Only a mindful mind will help you to see the true nature of reality, then you can stop these dangerous prejudices and bigotry.

- Escape from skepticism:  Activities of reason often go along with skepticism, confusion, hesitation, indecision, etc ... Doubting that something is not yet skeptical, just because it has not been verified yet. determined only. Doubt is a clear, confident attitude, while the mood of confusion, hesitation, ambiguity, lack of certainty, lack of confidence in reality is skeptical. It is skepticism that goes with delusion that distributes your mind, weakens, is unable to decide or focus. Thanks to the attentive listening, objective observation, the knowledge is clear, confident and free from this skepticism.

- Overcoming the limitations of ideas, words and symbols:  People invent concepts of language and symbols that bring a lot of utility, especially in the field of ideological communication. However, the nature of these concepts is relative, defective, contradictory, inconsistent and misleading. Therefore, they can only provide local, offensive and inaccurate knowledge. Thereby, of course, it is impossible to see the truth honestly and comprehensively. The truth is only shown when you see clear, not concealed by any concept.

- Solve hidden internal obstacles:  The Buddha calls these obstacles, the afflictions of sleeping underground (anusaya) deep in the subconscious, such as greed, hatred, delusion, conceit, quiz. Cavalry, jealousy, bigotry, etc., beyond the activity of consciousness. Only the conscious mind penetrates the subconscious to neutralize these subtle and subtle obstacles. END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THICH CHAN TANH.GOLDEN AMITABHA MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/5/2019.
