In the current trend, the country is in the period of industrialization and modernization, Buddhists must face many aspects, family, society, economy ... so they require a lot of time and energy. I just hope to fulfill my duty with the following basic roles:
1 - Obligation to be a child and a parent in the family.
2 - Duty to be a citizen in a country.
3 - Duty to be a Buddhist to the dharma.

When being a child in the family, Buddhists must know filial piety with their parents, take care of their parents to eat what they wear according to their needs, not neglect and indifference. If there is no compassion for parents, then all other jobs, such as worshiping the pagoda, doing charity work ... will not have practical value, there is no great fruit, but it is just a show of moral form. outside. Because of the perverse realities, in the past, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, in the poem Nguoi Tieu Canh Dieu, has some poignant verses:
"That blood sentence has a financial limit
The temple worshiped anyone who witnessed it
In the filial house is not
Calling that blessing, blessed where. ”
In addition to the duty to be a child, if married, it is also a duty to be a parent, husband and wife ... also complete the responsibility. And what is needed, is how to behave towards each other, to satisfy the filial piety in accordance with the spirit of Buddha's teaching, not to depend on the right to be loud and heavy against each other.
For the country, each person is a cell of society, a citizen of a country, we have to show a good duty of a citizen, build trust in society, help people to promote Ethical tradition, enthusiastic participation in cultural, labor and charity activities, in order to contribute to building society, the country is happier and fuller.
The third role is the duty of Buddhists to the Dharma: when the above two roles are completed well, for the Dharma, the Buddhists are still afraid of anything more about public opinion, but also at the Thong. dong on the road to maintain the Dharma.
"Back to bring Amitabha Buddha
The middle word is a filial piety.
According to the common conception, the buddha from just worrying about the donation of three jewels is enough. But if you only worry about the offering, then it is not completely true to the meaning of the righteous maintenance of the three jewels. Wanting to become a true guardian of the three jewels, Buddhists themselves need to practice. Because in addition to offering three jewels, Buddhists are powerful members who replace monks directly into the life of the Dharma. The supreme Dharma Dhamma here does not mean preaching as a magician, but it is the preaching of the Dharma with the teacher. A layperson who lives in the center of society is a reflection of a religious moral morality. Whether people have faith towards that religion or not, most also affect the daily life of believers. If a layperson has a good moral life, not only will he benefit himself, but indirectly helps those around us to turn to the good life. Such people are exemplary images that reflect the true value of Buddha-momentum teachings. That is the main role of Buddhists.
So, more than a normal person in society, Buddhists have a very important role to play on their shoulders to be responsible for the Dharma. So we need to see this in order to always be prepared to confront the afflictions that may occur. At the same time, it is also the fruits of merit which are beginning to flourish and the challenges of effort and patience on the path of our spiritual practice.

Easy when going down strictly when up
Lust for effort must be durable
