How many types of magical powers are there?
How many realms have divine powers? How many platforms?
How many steps?
How many origins?
2. What is divine power? Divine powers in the sense of achievement.
3. How many types of magical powers are there? There are ten kinds of miracles; The divine powers have four realms, four foundations, eight steps and sixteen origins.
4. What are those ten kinds of miracles? (1) divine powers as decisions, (2) divine powers as transformations, (3) divine powers as [body] due to the mind, (4) the divine mind is engaged, (5) divine powers are intending to intervene, (6) the divine powers of the saints, (7) divine powers due to the fruits of kamma, (8) the supernatural powers of merit, (9) divine powers through edicts, (10) divine powers in the sense achievements thanks to timely work.
5. What are those four miraculous realms? That is: meditation is the realm of isolation from isolation;second meditation is the realm of bliss and bliss; Three meditation is the realms of peace and perversion, the fourth is the miserable realm and not the lost. These four miraculous realms lead to the attainment of divine powers, to the attainment of divine powers, to the transformation of divine powers, to the power of divine powers, to the mastery of divine powers, to fearlessness * in divinepowers .
* Vesārajjani. original assurance. In Vism. XII e. 49, Nanamoli edit assurance of fearlessness : fearless. Read the note at the end of paragraph 12, Comment XXI on this word.
6. What are the four foundations of divine powers? Here a monk who practices the foundation of divine powers has both the intention to do and the act of creation as the effort. He cultivates the foundation of divine powers with both concentration and effort as an effort. He cultivates the foundation of divine powers with both the mind and the act of creation as effort. He cultivates the foundation of divine powers with both the intention of inquiry and the act of creation as the effort. The four foundations of this divine power lead to divine achievement, ... to be fearless in divine powers.[first]
7. What are those eight steps? [206] If the bhikkhu is attained, attaining one-pointedness due to the will to support, the will is not intention, and that intention is not the will to do; the will to do is one, to be another. If the Bhikkhu is reached, attaining one-mindedness due to the support, the effort is not determined, and that concentration is not diligent; diligence is one, to be another. If the monk reached samadhi, attained one-mindedness, supported by the mind, the mind is not samadhi, and that mind is not the mind; mind is one, destiny is another. If the bhikkhu is reached, attaining one-pointedness due to the understanding of support, that inquiry is not samadhi, and that concentration is not an inquiry; to find out is one, to be another. The eight steps to the divine power lead to the achievement of divine powers ... to be fearless in divine powers. [2]
8. What are the sixteen sources of divine powers? The mind is not depressed as the mind is not moved by laziness, so it is immobile. The mind is not happy when the mind is not moved by the vibration, so it is immobile. The mind is not seduced is the mind is not moved by greed, so it is immobile. The mind is not disgusted, the mind is not moved by anger, so it is immobile. The independent mind is the mind that is not moved by the [wrong] viewpoint, so it is immobile. The mind is not entangled is not moved by desire and greed, so it is immobile. The mind is liberated, it is not moved by desire for sex, so it is immobile. The unconnected mind * is not moved by gonorrhea, so it is immobile. The unobstructed mind is not moved by the obstacle of gonorrhea, [3] so it is motionless. The unified mind is not moved by gonorrhea of the difference, so it is immobile. The mind that is believed to be kept is not moved by not believing, so it is immobile. The mind is diligently preserved, it is not moved by laziness, so it is immobile. The mind that is contemplated to be preserved is not moved by distraction, so it is immobile. The mind that is intended to preserve is not moved by the vibration, so it is immobile. The mind which is preserved is not moved by ignorance, so it is immobile. The illuminated mind is not moved by the darkness of ignorance, so it is immobile. The sixteen sources of this divine power lead to the achievement of miraculous powers ... to be fearless in divine powers. [207].
* visaññuttaṁ cittaṁ: mind is not bound, tied.
9. (1) What is divine power ?
Here a monk experiences different kinds of supernatural powers (supernatural powers); from one to many, from many to one; he appears and disappears; he went through the wall, through the ramparts, through the mountain without being hindered like nothing; he padded and floated to the ground like in water, walking on water without water breaking like walking on earth; legs sit cross-legged like astronauts like winged birds; his hand touched the sun moon which was very great and powerful; he ordered his body to fly far away to the heavenly realms Pham Thien.
Here: in this area of perspective, in this field of choice, in this more favored field, in this field of selection, in this Dharma, in this Law ( vinaya ), in the field of Dharma and this precept, in this teaching, in this life of Pham Hanh, in this Master's Teaching. 'Here' is said for that reason.
11. A bhikkhu: A monk is a worldly person who is blessed or a learned or an Arahant who has proved an unassailable state.
12. Experience all kinds of divine powers: experience different aspects of divine powers.
13. From one turn into many: from one, he directs attention to [himself] into many or into hundreds, into thousands, or one hundred thousand; After paying attention to the mind, with his mind, he decided 'Let's turn into a lot'. He turned into a lot. As the author Cūḷa Panthaka from one, turns into many, so does the person with divine powers master the idea, from one to many.
14. Many words turn into one: from many, he directs attention to [himself] into one; after paying attention, with his mind, he decided 'Let's turn into one'. He turned into one. As the author Cūḷa Panthaka from one, turns into many, so does the person with divine powers master the idea, from many to one.
15. He appears: he is not obscured by anything, not hidden, he revealed, he appears.
16. Then disappeared: he was hidden, hidden, closed, wrapped up by something. [208]
17. He went through the wall, through the ramparts, through the mountain without being hindered as through nothing: naturally, he was the one who achieved the meditative subject. He turned his attention to: 'through the wall, through the ramparts, through the mountains'; After paying attention, with the mind, he decided 'Make that place into nothingness'. There is nowhere. He went through the wall, through the ramparts, through the mountain without obstacles. As ordinary people without divine powers go through without obstacles, places where there are no obstacles, ramparts, so too, people with divine powers master the idea, go through walls, ramparts, mountains are not as obstacles as the past nowhere.
18. The person padded and floated to the ground like in the water: naturally, he was the one who achieved the subject of water meditation. He turned his attention to the earth; After paying attention, with the mind, he decided 'Let's turn that place into water'. There was water there. He padded the earth and floated to the ground. As ordinary people without divine powers (supernatural powers) dive and emerge from the surface of the water, so too, people with divine powers master the will, fill up the earth and rise to the surface like in the country.
19. Walking on water without water breaking like walking on earth: naturally, he is the one who achieved the title of earth meditation. He turned his attention to water; After paying attention, with the mind, he decided 'Let's turn that place into land'. Then there was the land. He goes on water without water breaking. As ordinary people without divine powers (supernatural powers) travel on land, so too, people with divine powers master the idea, walking on water without water breaking like on the ground.
20. Legs sit with the position of the astronaut like a winged bird: naturally, he is the one who achieved the title of earth meditation. He directed attention to nothingness; After paying attention, with the mind, he decided 'Let's turn that place into land'. Then there was the land. He travels (walking), standing, sitting, lying in nothingness, in the sky. As ordinary people do not have the supernatural powers (supernatural powers) traveling (walking), standing, sitting, lying on the ground, walking on land, so too, who has this divine power to master the mind, travel (walking), standing, sitting, lying in nothingness, in the sky like a winged bird.
21. His hand touched the sun's moon as such great and majestic things: Here the person with divinepowers [209] mastered the idea, while he was sitting or lying down, he turned his mind to pay attention to the sun's moon; After paying attention, with his mind, he decided 'Make it within reach'. It is within reach. Sitting or lying down, his hand touched the sun's moon. As if there are ordinary people without divine powers (supernatural power), his hand touches the object at his fingertips as well, the person who has this divine power can master the mind, sit or lie, his hand touches his face sun moon.
22. The position of his body flying far to heavenly Brahma: If someone with divine powers (supernatural power) mastered this idea wants to go to the realms of Heavenly God, though far away, he decides to close: 'Come close.' That realm is near. Although close, he decided far away: 'Stay far away'. That realm is far away. Although much, he decided little: 'Let's have less'. There are few.Although few, he decided a lot: 'Let's have more'. There are many. With celestial eye, he sees the tangible aspect (object) of Pham Thien. With the celestial ear, he hears the sound of that Brahma; with forgiveness of mind, he knows the mind of Pham Thien. If the person with divine powers (supernatural ability) mastered this idea wants to go to the heavenly realm of Pham Thien with the tangible body, he transforms the mind to fit with the body, he decides the mind is in accordance with the body and position. He easily attained a sense of peacefulness and mild awareness, and he went to the heavenly realm of Pham Thien with a tangible body. If the person with divine powers (supernatural power) mastered this idea wants to go to the heavenly realm of Pham Thien with invisible body, he changes his mind to suit his body, he decides the mind is in accordance with the body and position. He easily attained a sense of peacefulness and mild awareness, and he went to the heavenly realm of Pham Thien with an invisible body. He created embody In front of Pham Thien, due to the mind, enough limbs, no senses. If the person with divine powers (supernatural power) goes up and down, that incarnation also goes up and down there. If the person has the spirit of standing, the incarnation also stands there. If the person who is spiritually seated, the reincarnation also sits there. If the person with divine power lies, the incarnation is also there. [210] If a person has a spirit of smoke, the reincarnation also spews smoke there. If the person has a fire spirit, the reincarnation also spits fire there. If someone has the spirit to teach the Dharma, the incarnation also preaches the Dharma there. If the person with divine power questions, the incarnation also asks there. If asked, the person with divine powers answered, the reincarnation was asked, also answered there. If the person with divine powers stands with Pham Thien, dialogue and dialogue with Pham Thien, incarnation also stands with Pham Thien, dialogue, conversation with Pham Thien there. The person with divine powers does anything, incarnation also does that.
This is divine power as a decision.

Standing in the world of Pham Thien, this person can communicate in a language with ten thousand worlds. He preached the Dharma with the visible body, and he preached the Dharma with invisible body; he preached the Dharma with the visible lower body, and he preached the Dharma with the invisible upper body. He preached the Dhamma with the visible upper body, and he preached the Dhamma with the invisible lower half. He left his normal shape and showed the shape of a boy, of Nāga (snake), the shape of Supaṇṇa (winged demon), or the form of the god, or the form of the Emperor, or the shape of the gods [in the heavenly world], or the shape of the Brahma [ Brahmā ], or the shape of the sea , or the shape of a mountain, or the shape of a forest, or the shape of a lion, or the shape of a tiger, or the shape of a newspaper, or the shape of an elephant, or he shows a carriage, or shows the soldier sets, or shows the army. This is divine powers like transformations (variety).
24. (3) What is divine power as [body] created by mind? Here the monk from this body creates another body, whose mind, created by the mind, [211] has enough limbs, without any senses. Like a man pulling weeds out of the mop and thinking like this: 'This is a mop, this is a weed; mop shell is one, mop grass is another, mop is drawn from this mop shell '; or someone pulls the sword out of the shell and thinks like this: 'This is a sword, this is a shell; the sheath is one, the blade is another, the blade draws from this sheath '; or as a person pulls a snake out of its skin and thinks like this: 'This is a snake, [4] this is snake skin; snake skin is one, snake is another, snake is stripped from this skin ';Likewise, the monk from this body creates another body, whose mind, created by the mind, has enough limbs, without any senses. This is the spirit of divine communication as the [body] created by mind.
