Origin of  Sāvatthi  (S v 70)
44. Here the author of  Sariputta  said to the monks like this:  [12]  'Hey sages. The monks answered: 'Dear sage'. Venerable  Sariputta  said this:
'Hey sages, there are seven elements that make this enlightenment. Seven factors? They are factors that constitute the enlightenment of mindfulness, ... the element of enlightenment of calmness. There are seven elements that make up this enlightenment.
'With these seven enlightenment elements, if I want to stay in any element in the morning, I stay in that element in the morning; If I want to stay in any element at noon, I stay in that element at noon; If I want to stay in any element in the evening, I stay in that element in the evening. [126]
'If the element of enlightenment of mindfulness occurs in my mind, in my mind the element is immeasurable, perfect; and while that element is in existence,  [13]  I know that it exists; If it disintegrates in me, I know it disintegrates in me for a certain cause. If the element that makes enlightenment of inquiry happens, ... the element of enlightenment of calm happens in my mind, in my mind the element is immeasurable, perfect; while that element exists, I know that it exists; If it disintegrates in me, I know it disintegrates in me for a certain cause.
'Suppose there is a king or a mandarin in charge of a king who has a chest full of colorful clothes, if he wants to wear it in the morning, he will wear it in the morning; If you want to wear a suit at noon, he will wear it at noon; If you want to wear a suit in the evening, he will wear it in the evening; so with these seven enlightened elements, if you want to stay in any element in the morning, you stay in that element in the morning; ... I know it disintegrates in me for a certain cause (S v 70).
45. How is there an enlightened element like this: ' If the element of enlightenment of mindfulness happens in my mind  '?
Once the cessation has been strengthened, there is an element of enlightenment like this: ' If the element that makes enlightenment of mindfulness happens in my mind  '. As if there is a burning lamp, if there is a fire, there is light, if there is light, there is a fire; Also, once the cessation has been strengthened, there is an element of enlightenment like this: ' If the element that makes enlightenment of mindfulness happens in my mind  '. [127]
46. How is this an enlightened element: 'That factor is infinite in my mind  '?
Gonorrhea is closely related to measurement limits ,  [14]  and so on with all obsessions, and with renewable behaviors becoming; the cessation is not measurable in the sense of silence and in the sense of not being created. Once the cessation has been strengthened, there is this element of enlightenment: 'That element is infinite in my mind  '.
* The MA commentary says that people can use gonorrhea as a criterion to classify (nđ. Measurement:  pamāṇakaraṇa ) a person who is a mundane person, enters a line, returns once or doesn't return. Read  Ñāamamoli  and Bhikkhu Bodhi,  The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha , Wisdom Publications [Boston, 1995], footnote 452, page 1238.
47. How is there such an enlightened element: 'That element is perfect (bringing in unity) in my mind '?
Gonorrhea is not the same,  [15]  obsessions, the acts of reproduction become the same; the cessation is the most state as in the sense of peace and in the supreme sense. Once the cessation has been strengthened, there is an enlightened element like this: 'That element is perfect (bringing in unity) in my mind. '
48. How is' while that element exists  13 , I know that it exists; If it disintegrates in me, I know it disintegrates in me for a  certain cause  '?
Elements of enlightenment of concept exist according to many aspects? What constitutes the enlightenment's element that disintegrates according to many aspects?
The element that constitutes enlightenment of mind exists in eight aspects; The element of enlightenment's concept dissolves in eight aspects.
49. Which elements of enlightenment of mind exist in eight aspects?
The element that constitutes enlightenment of mind exists because  there is no longer the source of existence which  is directed to the mind; the element that constitutes enlightenment of mind exists because of  the arising of existence which is  not directed to the mind; ... by  not continuing to recur,  is directed to pay attention to; ... by  continuing to recur. the present is  not directed to the mind; ... because  no sign  is directed to the mind; ... thanks to the  sign that is  not directed to the mind; thanks to  the cessation of  the mind being directed to the mind ... the element of enlightenment of mindfulness exists through the  act of creating fruit which is  not directed to the mind.
The element of enlightenment of mindfulness exists in these eight aspects.
50. What elements of enlightenment of thoughts break up in eight aspects?
The factor that constitutes enlightenment of thoughts disintegrates because the  source of existence arises to  be mindful of; forming elements of the concept of enlightenment disbanded because  no source  arising of existence  not to notice centripetal; ... for  continuing existing recurrence  is centripetal attention to; ... because  not followed existing recurrence is not directed to pay attention to; ... because the  sign  is directed to the mind; ... because  no sign is  not directed to pay attention;because the  act of creating fruit  is directed to the mind ... the element that makes the enlightenment of the concept of disintegration because  the cessation is  not directed to the mind.
The element that makes enlightenment of thoughts dissolves in these eight aspects. [128]
'While that element is in existence 13 , I know that it exists; If it disintegrates in me, I know it disintegrates in me for a certain reason.
51-56. ... factors that make enlightenment of learning ...
57-62. ... the element of enlightenment of effort ...
63-68. ... factors that make up enlightenment ...
69-74. ... factors that constitute enlightenment of silence ...
75-80. ... factors that make enlightenment ...
81-86. How is there an element of enlightenment like this: ' If the element of enlightenment of calm happens in my mind  '?
Once...
...
The element of enlightenment of calm disintegrates in these eight aspects.
'While that element exists 13 , I know that it exists; If it disintegrates in me, I know it disintegrates in me for a certain reason.
DISCUSSION ABOUT THE ELEMENTS OF CREATING ENLIGHTENING.

[1]  Comment I e. thirty first.
[2] Bodhipakkhiya:  has enlightened characteristics, but the commentary is  bodhapakkhiya  and explains that it contributes and supports the enlightened person (PsA 429 S e ).
[3]  Paragraphs 3-12 represent the permutation of the elements of the two groups of words: · group one has 10, that is: (1) origin, (2) cause, (3) condition, (4) purification, (5) no error, (6) dissociation, (7) liberation, (8) no affliction, (9) isolation, (10) letting go; · Group 2 has 9: (a) acts, (b) holds, (c) equipment, (d) fulfills, (e) matures, (f) is unscrupulous, (g) brings no concern solution = wisdom, (h) practice to master in the unsolvable solution (= path), (i) to the mastery of unbridled solution (= result).The first permutation group (paragraphs 3-12) is arranged as follows: 1a, b, ... i; 2a, b, ... i; ...; 10a, b, ... i. This group one is followed by (paragraphs 13-22) arranged as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, ... 10; a1, 2, ... 10; b1, 2, ... 10; i1, 2, ... 10.  Vibhaṅga (Vbh. 16) also chose the same method. We see the word vasībhāvaṭṭhena  « in the sense of mastery »  scattered throughout this passage.
[4]  In the following paragraphs (23-43) in this section, the arrangement is the same as the one stated in the 23-43 paragraphs of Comment I. Only one or two changes are not mentioned here. , and also one or two differences will be recorded separately.
[5]  The 'no wish' clause here in the PTS version is discarded.
[6]  The clause 'They are awakened in understanding behavior' ... is not included in Comment I paragraph 27.
[7]  Here, in the PTS version, there is a lack of 'stable in one point' clause available in Argument I.
[8] The  two clauses 'renunciation' and 'annihilation' are not in the text of Comment I paragraph 32.
[9]  The edition of PTS volume ii, page 18 is  pakāsanaṭṭho  approved by the PsA (Read Chapter I paragraph 32 and the commentary).
[10]  Here each of the truths in the Four Noble Truths has only four clauses, while in Comment I paragraph 34, there are up to five clauses.
[11]  The verse 'cannot be different: ( anaññatha )' is not available in Comment I paragraph 35.
[12]  Here the commentary states: 'Elder [ Sariputta ], wants to show the operation of the elements that make up enlightenment by extensively explaining a prejudice given by himself, so the source is stated. The root ( nidāna ) of Kinh opens with 'At a time', and begins to say a general sentence. But it is because this sutta is taught by himself so it is impossible to use the phrase 'like this I hear' but use the phrase '  Sāriputta ' to distinguish it from the person who is teaching, consider yourself another person. That way of speaking is widely used in the world [outside the Sangha] '. (PsA 430 S e ).
