A. Differences in awareness and practice of Pure Land teachings today.
In this section, please allow only a few different opinions of practitioners, of the Buddhists to respect the virtue and of Buddhist studies about the Pure Land method. Those opinions are circulating in Buddhism in our country.
Different opinions about the current awareness and practice of Pure Land teachings may have some points to raise as follows:
1. The first difference:
There is an opinion that the Pure Land movement is now spread in our country due to the influence of China, so there is a difference with the Pure Land teachings in Amitabha [1]. The fundamental difference is that the Pure Land in the Amitabha is based on 5 criteria to be reborn in the West completely different from the 3 elements of faith and happiness, which that opinion is attributed to China. setting out capital that is not based on the most important lesson is the Da Sutra and that is also the point where most of the Pure Land teachers do not mention. That view said: "There are 5 criteria in the Amitabha Sutra where according to which one practices, the present is at peace, after death qualifies to give birth to the West without needing to pray, without needing anyone. The concept, that situation takes place as an indispensable law of causality [2] ”. That view suggests that the five criteria in the Amitabha Sutra that the Pure Land practitioner attains rebirth must have a great good base, great merit, a great predestined relationship, a great pronunciation and the most specialized restaurant. mind means having one mindless Buddha mindfulness. That view also points out: "The essence of Amitabha lies in not emphasizing the existence of the Western world but these five conditions. Anyone who achieves these 5 conditions, right before this current dharma, where he or she is is the Ultimate Bliss, that person is happy and at that time, those who meet the 5 conditions will no longer wish to give birth. What to do about the West? The core and depth of the philosophy of Pure Land lies here. People who follow the Pure Land belief do not care about it, The only concern is that after death, he was reborn and therefore emphasized the purely religious aspect of the Pure Land which was not taught by the Buddha. That is the very basic difference between Pure Land in the Amitabha and Pure Land of China compiled [3] ”. The idea is that the practitioner who wants a good base means transforming craving, hatred, delusion and attachment. And if so, lay Buddhists who live married life cannot attain great goodness because they cannot give up craving, although the following three factors are anger, delusion and attachment. Because the life of lay Buddhists is linked to the relationship of husband and wife and sexual activity is a major obstacle that can make it impossible for lay Buddhists to attain great goodness, but only to attain a good heart. Average or small. There is also a great good cause that is transformed to the roots of craving, anger, delusion, attachment and this is something that only monks can do, but not all of them monks can do that. Because of that meaning, if there is no great good cause, it is impossible for a Buddhist to live with a married family to return to the Land of Bliss.
2. The second difference:
Another idea is that mortals are Buddhists or practitioners who follow any method must be diligent and make great merit. Meaning to apply and perform what the Buddha taught. Not only being vegetarian, reciting Buddha's name, going to the temple to worship Buddha is enough, but must be committed to practicing the three precepts of the five precepts, doing ten good things, distributing bodhicitta etc., to have great merit. So one who thinks simply to recite Buddha's name, bowing to the Buddha without reading the scriptures, practicing the Buddha's teachings is a great mistake. Therefore, we should not exaggerate such sentences as: Reciting Buddha's name with one sentence, immeasurable birth, bowing to the Buddha and bowing to the Buddha. That is just encouragement, utterly inhuman. Because it is obvious that only reciting a Buddha's recitation cannot be unwholesome, just as much as bowing to the Buddha, how many crimes are destroyed. If so, everyone in this world is full of virtue and no one is guilty because just reciting Buddha's name, bowing to Buddha a bow, no matter how many sins are destroyed. That is the content of the second opinion difference.

3. The 3rd difference:
It was a different opinion about 48 prayers. The idea is that cultivators of the Pure Land often rely on 48 prayers of Amitabha Buddha, but in fact, those 48 vows are the vows of the Bhikkhu on the Dharma, as in the Sutra of Longevity said. At the time of vowing, the Dharma teacher was also a monk, so it was impossible to say that it was 48 prayers of Amitabha Buddha. This comment clearly states: "Currently 2 of the 48 vows are carried by the majority of Pure Land practitioners. It is the 18th vow and the 19th vow of the Dharma Master. The 18th vow says: If one recites our title 10 times without rebirth in Bliss, then we don't become Buddha. In fact, the Dharma teacher has already become a Buddha, so long ago. If that prayer is true, then he must be a Bodhisattva rather than Amitabha Buddha ... [4] ”
In fact, the countless texts of Vo Luong Tho have many different translators, so the words and practices also have different places. It should be understood that the 48 vows of Bhikkhuni Bhikkhu are vows to practice when they have become Buddhas and the process of his struggle with the Dharma through so many new lifetimes becomes Amitabha Buddha. And so, those 48 prayers are the prayer of Amitabha Buddha.
4. The 4th difference:
This is the difference that in the section about the main sutras of Pure Land has been mentioned. There is a very clear fact that for a long period of practice and development of the Pure Land practice, the Patriarchs as well as the magicians who explained the Pure Land doctrine did not mention the Three Paramattha Buddha Sutra. which is an extremely important sutra of Pure Land. Why? The Buddhist scriptures of the Buddha and the Buddha were proclaimed at the Ky Xa Quat mountain near Vuong Xa citadel before eighty thousand Great Bodhisattvas throughout the ten directions, the elders, the great monks, the Heavenly Kings, the demons and attached, there was a national model Vi De Hy and King A Xa The and royal family, and gods attended. So this sermon preached after a time not far from the lecture on the Immeasurable Shakyamuni in front of Mrs. Vi De Hy while in the dungeon, because she was ordered by the child to be the king of A Soap World. Buddhist Sutra is a concise and deeply philosophical and deeply important. But now it can be said that over 95% of practitioners spreading Pure Land do not touch the Three-Sutra Buddha Sutra altogether. It is possible that this sutra clearly states the very superior and necessary weakness of a Pure Land practitioner, so Pure Land practitioners and practitioners must ignore the intention to make the Pure Land become an easy practice for everyone.
Above are a few different ideas and perceptions about the Pure Land Method. Of course, if in-depth research, there are some other ideas during the practice of developing the Pure Land Method. In particular, problems exist in the practice of some Buddhists.
B. Problems exist in practice according to Pure Land:
The Pure Land Method is an easy practice for all classes of people and is very popular in many Mahayana Buddhist countries, so that in practitioners and Buddhists a lot of different perceptions have arisen around practice according to this doctrine.
1. Only focus on reciting Buddha's name without reading scriptures.
First of all, most Buddhists cultivate the Pure Land method, assuming that it is enough to focus on reciting the phrase "Nam Mo Am Buddha", should not pay attention to the study of the Buddha in general, to recite the sutras and the real ones. administer the teachings of the Buddha in particular in everyday life. Some even argue that Buddhist scriptures should not be read because it will distract from reciting the Buddha's name, but only need to conscientiously recite Buddha's name. That's not right. The Pure Land Method also pays great attention to chanting. The Pure Land Method has some main sutras such as the Amitayus Sutra, the Amitabha Sutra, the Sutra of the Sutra of Life, the Sutra of Sutra and the two Sutras which are supplemented by the Samantabhadra and the Great Buddha Yuantong. In the business of Quan Luong Tho has also stated this: "Practitioners who want to reborn in the Pure Land must meet three conditions: One is fondness for parents, Phung worshiped the chief monk, from the mind of the police, and practiced good karma. Two is the maintenance of Tam qui, five precepts, not guilty. The third is to develop bodhicitta, to believe deeply in karma, to recite the Mahayana scriptures, to recommend others to cultivate. ” Then reading chanting of Buddha is also necessary besides reciting Buddha's name. In fact, the shamans and the monks who teach about Pure Land advice that we are dedicated to reciting Buddha's name are those who have spent many years through the Mahayana scriptures including Dai Bat Nha, Kim Cuong and Thu Lang. Nghiem, Hoa Nghiem, Dieu Phap Lien etc., in the Tripitaka and from the acceptance of the elements of those texts during the practice of practice, they gathered back to the dharma. Buddhist Mindfulness of Pure Land. believe deeply in karma, recite the Mahayana sutras, recommend others to cultivate. ” Then reading chanting of Buddha is also necessary besides reciting Buddha's name. Nghiem, Hoa Nghiem, Dieu Phap Lien etc., in the Tripitaka and from the acceptance of the elements of those texts during the practice of practice, they gathered back to the dharma. Buddhist Mindfulness of Pure Land.
2. Only reciting Buddha's name without practicing wisdom
A number of Buddhists and practitioners pay attention to recite Buddha's name for their rebirth, and focus only so that they are reborn without paying attention to all beings in the dharma realm, not focusing on practice the practice of wisdom and practice of merit according to the Mahayana teachings. Such rebirth-dedicated Buddhist mindfulness, though reborn, is only low in nine Lotus flowers. Because reciting Buddha's name for rebirth cannot be separated from the practice of bringing the Buddha's teachings into life. Life in the world I She is a lot of misery, the Mahayana doctrine clearly indicates not only cultivating for oneself, but also to pray for Buddha's teachings, lowering sentient beings (On the bridge into Buddha, under beings). It means that the Pure Land practitioner recites the Buddha's rebirth to become a Buddha, he must have a compassionate and loving heart for all sentient beings, to know how to develop bodhicitta, to believe deeply in cause and effect, do many good deeds. It is also to complement the missing elements that in the Sutra texts have been mentioned, the Samantabhadra Sutra is the teaching of the Buddha's students to develop Bodhicitta with an open mind like the Priest Hien Bodhisattva.
3. The concept of reciting Buddha's name without cultivating happiness:
There are also many Buddhists who attach great importance to reciting the Buddha's name, the Buddha's ceremony with elaborate respect, carrying out very strict Buddhist recitations, but in the daily life, nothing pays attention to the practice of good practices and behaviors. and language, sometimes there are still bad jobs, harsh words, etc. In order to be reborn, become a Buddha, not only to recite Buddha's name is enough, even if there is one-mindedness. It must be happy in daily life. In addition to the Buddhist recitation period, Buddhists always practice the practice of good karma, the gesture of behavior is also good and compassionate. There are also cases when reciting Buddha's name there are still delusions, attachments, attachment, anger, and how to recite Buddha's name, but one cannot mind. Therefore, according to the Pure Land, it cannot be seen simply that having Buddha reciting is enough,
C. Correct awareness of the religion of Tinh Do Tong of Buddha
The Pure Land practice advocates reciting Buddha's name, visualizing Amitabha Buddha's self-reliance with the Faith, Vow, Happiness and with the power of the Buddha and their Saints to reborn in Bliss, out of life and death. . This is the common perception of the majority of Buddhists following the Pure Land practice. But if only understood like that, only knowing the mindfulness of Buddha to reach one-mindedness is not true to the principle of Tinh Do Tong of Buddha. So how to understand correctly Tinh Tinh Tong's principle?
In Business of Infinite Life Life, the Buddha also pointed out that the cultivator according to the Pure Land wants to reborn in the world of extreme bliss. It means that in addition to being mindful of the Buddha's day and night, the people who follow the Pure Land need to understand the teachings of the Buddha. Pure Land practitioners must know how to fondle their parents, serve their chief monks, from the mind, to practice good, to maintain the three rules, the five precepts, not to be majesty, to spread bodhicitta, to believe deeply in karma, to read recite the Mahayana, exhorting people to practice. Therefore, Pure Land is not the only faith in the Bliss and the Buddha Amitabha. Pure Land is a sect that advocates bringing practitioners along the path of practice of gender, concentration and wisdom. Due to the meticulous mindfulness of Buddha's mind, the Buddha recited the samadhi, but the achievement was determined. Thanks to the merit of upholding the Three Rules, Five Precepts, cultivate good karma and merit-making meritorious deeds, distribute bodhicitta etc. and attain gender. And also thanks to the merit of Dinh, the new practitioner comes to have Tue.
Also because of the principle of Pure Land, so in the Sutra Buddha Sutra, Buddha preached thoroughly on the principle of Pure Land as a Buddhist practice of rebirth. In the Second Class of the Three Sutra Buddhist Sutra, the Buddha pointed out: "The Buddha's mindfulness practice is to transform the mind of sentient beings, by not allowing the mind to be entwined with ambition, with the green ceiling. are colors, sounds, incense, taste, contact, dharma, with illusory scenes, with accepting opinions, with desire, with discrimination, etc. But only bring that mind to grace forever with the name Nam Nam Amitabha Buddha. Before long, people who recite Buddha's name naturally go into a quiet, lucid, peaceful place, and feel inspired by the power of Amitabha, find themselves born in the Blissful realm of water, sit on the lotus lotus, and hear Buddha and the Bodhisattva says the dharma, or sees the Buddha's hands rubbing his hands ".
The Buddhist Sutra Recitation also clearly indicates that the cultivators according to the Pure Land, though having given mind to the Buddha in a diligent and diligent manner, but if reborn in the realm of the Sisters, they will still be reincarnated because the wisdom is still inferior, the Germany is not yet complete. Need to reborn the Bliss world close to the Buddha and the Saints, accomplishing immeasurable Three la secret, penetrating the Threefold General of the subject, spreading the vow to vow to travel to all ten schools of sentient beings. That is why the Buddha said clearly in the Sutra of Sutra: "It should be known that being reborn in Bliss does not return to the mortal position with the body of the five aggregates. So called the Immortal. From then on, gradually accomplishing the ten things of power, eighteen non-communist, five-label, continental, immeasurable la la, countless samadhi, divine powers, unscrupulous measures, etc. ... full Unbelievable merit of the Great Bodhisattva, until Buddha attained. So that we, Thich Ca Mau Ni The Sun today respectfully affirm that: Born with the same meaning as Buddha ".
It is because of these reasons that the Buddhist Sutra Recitation should be classified into one of the main sutras of the Pure Land, because that sutta contains the full set of the Pure Land's principles.
Part 5
CONCLUDE
The Pure Land has appeared since the Buddha was still alive. In the early Buddhist period, the Pure Land was not thriving. Only after the Mahayana Buddhism developed and especially in the early centuries AD, did the Pure Land form an official sect in China with the first-generation Huiyuan since the fourth century.
Pure Land practices take the business of Immeasurable Life, Amitabha, Quan Luong Tho, Recite the Buddha's Three Immaculate and the essay Born Pure Land is the basic doctrine. The Pure Land practice method recites the recitation of the phrase "Namo Amitabha Buddha" working regularly. Pure Land conceived the concept of Buddha, visualizing Amitabha Buddha and the enmity, solemnity of the Pureland of Pure Land, with self-reliance with Faith, Happiness, and Vow. Practitioners also have to rely on the power of Amitabha Buddha and their Saints to reborn in the Ultimate Bliss in a state of mindless unconsciousness. Pure Land is not a method that only has the Pureland of Pure Land and the Buddha Amitabha, not only belief, but also a method of advocating the path of practice of gender, concentration, and wisdom. weak is gender and concentration.
So asking for practitioners and Buddhists to follow the Pure Land must have a holistic spiritual practice: both practicing and reciting Buddha's name reaches one-mindedness in order to reach Dinh, and must recite the scriptures of the Pure Scriptures. The degree and practice of the three pure minds as the Buddha said in the Sutra of Amitabha. Such practice is to achieve rebirth in the world of Ultimate Bliss that is no longer rotten.
