Punna Koliyaputta obeys the Blessed One. The Buddha said as follows:

This, Punna, has a white karmic retribution, Punna, a black and white karmic retriever, Punna, not black and white, karma leads to the end of the karma.
And this Punna, how are black karma leading to black karmic retribution? Here, Punna is the one who created the damaging corpse, creating damaging impurities, creating damaging wills. After creating the damaged corpse, the guilty is harmed, the harm done, he is born into the world of harm. Because of being born into a harmful world, this person experiences feelings that are harmful. Because of emotions of damaging emotions, this person experiences feelings that are detrimental, homogeneous suffering, like sentient beings in hell. Thus, this Punna, the arising of a living being in beings, beings that arise depending on their actions, and when beings are born, the time stimulates the emotions.Therefore, Punna, I say: "The living beings are my own happiness." Thus, this Punna, called black karma, results in black karmic retribution.
