Great Defeat

1. Sàriputta (Wisdom), the first wisdom.

He Sariputta [1] , the smaller Buddha few years old, born in the village of Upatissa (Nalaka), Nalanda district, the name father Vanganta [2] , mother Rupa name Sari. When he became pregnant, Sari suddenly became very intelligent, great teaching and preaching Vedas, more than her husband Vangantà and he was Dghanakha. He has three daughters, Cala, Upacala and Sisupacala, and three younger brothers, Cunda, Upasena and Revata. All three later brothers were ordained and attained Arahant [3] .
According to  Xa-Loi Section-Lien Nhan Duyen in  Buddha Hanh Kinh Kinh 48From early childhood, Saratipta had a good old-fashioned body, growing up learning the industry, understanding the four Vedas. At the age of 16, he discussed dressing up others, all of them in line. He became a celebrity in the village and was nicknamed Upatissa. He made friends with Moggallana in the nearby village of Kolita. One day, the two of them came to the solemn sacrifice ceremony in Ragaraha City, saw people have fun mixed, suddenly thought a hundred years later all the people who are present today are dead and the scene today will be complete. All other changes (life impermanent), two friends come together to find teachers. After addressing the contemporary masters, Sariputta and Moggallana came to life with Sanjaya, one of the six pagans. In just seven days, the two of them had mastered the teachings of the teacher and were assigned to the teacher, Can replace teachers to teach your fellow students. But Sariputta and Moggallana were not happy, they separated from each other and went to find Sariputta, south of Moggallana, Moggallàna to the north.
Soon, Sariputta was walking in rajagaha, suddenly encountering the great Assaji, begging for alms. Seeing the great virtue Assaji looks elegant, generous to go to court, he asked:
- fake gold glass, his ministry is pure and pure. Could you please tell me why you escaped secularism? Who is your teacher? Who do you spread the teachings?
- Dear friend, Assaji Venerable replied, prolific monk is just a preliminary monk, not enough ability to explain the Dharma fully and thoroughly for the dharma.
- False false eyelashes, the child is Sariputta in Upatissa village, respectfully ask the author of a little more education, I will try to find out what part or section. Please teach me some essential points, summing up some of the important teachings that you have learned.
- German tutor Gotama teaches a lot, but the increase is only in the following four verses. Then read the proverb read:
Ye dhamma hetuppabhava
tesam hetum tathagato.
Come in front of you
show the results
Does that mean :
The dhamma is due to the coast.
Tathagata has clearly explained the causes and conditions
And only the end of the law.
The great teachings like that. [4]
The four verses that just summarize the causal relationship of the birth of the destruction of all things (impermanent) and just the practice of liberation (termination of the law). Mr. Saratipta, who was very smart, had heard the first two words of the Sutàpatti. From that point forward, to show gratitude to Assaji Venerable, whenever he heard Assaji where he was, he turned his head and turned his head to it.
As committed, Sariputta went to find Moggallàna and read the four verses. After listening, Mr. Moggallana also attained the results. They went to their former teacher, Sanjaya Belatthiputta, and invited him to come to life with the Buddha. Master Sanjaya refuses, but there are 155 of his disciples, accompanied by Sariputta and Moggallana, who come to Gecko Forest to apply for fellowship with the Buddha. A week later, thanks to the Buddha taught the Fourth, Mogul Moggallana attained Arahant. By the second week, when the Buddha taught the Vedanà Pariggaha to the Dìghanakha, Venerable Sariputta attained Arahantship. That afternoon, the Buddha summoned all the disciples around him to enthrone the Venerable Sariputta as the first disciple, the most intelligent.
According to the  Thich Nhat Du , after his ordination, Sariputta often follow the Buddha, helping him in the teaching, organization and administration of the Church. He is often praised and trusted by the Buddha. He was the key person in guiding the layman Sudattà to establish Jetavana from beginning to end. When Devadatta established his own Church in Gayàsìsa, it was Sariputta and Moggallana who came to the place of sermon and advised the mendicants to return to the Buddha. It is the great virtue of Sariputta who teaches the great Abhidhamma of the Buddha, so that the masters are easy to understand.
In -545, Venerable Sariputta visited Upatissa village and visited her mother seriously and took care of her until she died. After the tea ceremony of Ms. Sari, available full of relatives and residents in the village, the Sermon preached to them. Everyone listened attentively because the Venerable said very well. The Dharma Master is the only way that can lead a man out of the ocean of birth and death to purify his pure nirvana. After the law, the monk made the refuge for the Three Jewels for nearly ten people. Then that night the Venerable sat seated in the lotus position. In the early morning, Cunda's attendant realized that the Venerable Sariputta had passed away at midnight, in the room where the Venerable was born. Previously, the Venerable said that he wanted to exterminate before the Buddha, instructing Cunda to bring the bowl and relics of the monk to the Buddha and ask him to accompany him. The bowl and relics of Venerable Sariputta were invited by the king of Kosala to Sàvatthi and built at the temple of Jetavana. In addition, Upatissa and the Buddhists built a huge brick tower at the University of Nalanda.
According to the Lotus Sutra, Lord Buddha would have signed the Sàriputta to become the Buddha Padmaprabha, in the world called Viradja, in the Mahà ratana vyuha kalpa.

Walking to the Mall of Anupiya, not far from the border. Anuruddha asked everyone to take off all the precious jewelry, dressed simply before crossing the border. Everyone agrees. They took off the string of jewels and gold rings of silver wrapped in a shirt. When they arrived in a small village, they met a poor barber shop. The hairdresser is a young man of their own age, whose face is handsome but ragged. Anuruddha went to the shop asking for directions to the Anupiya city.
Nadal took the princes through the border of Malla, directed the Anupiya, and greeted the princes to return. Anuruddha thanked Upàli and gave Upàli a jeweled garment in it. He said:
- Upàli, we want to follow the Buddhist monk. We do not need these jewels anymore. We give back to you. Each of these jewels was gold enough for him to live happily ever after.
The princes departed from Upāli and set off. The barber opened his shirt. Gold jewels make him blink. I do not believe this is true. Suddenly he felt nervous, he felt lost all the daily peace and security. He feared that the ignorant would kill him to rob. He feared the officer knew he would be the thief. Think about it. He saw the sovereign wealthy so powerful, so left to leave the monk, then the monk must have something more precious to riches to fame. He suddenly thought to throw away the treasure package to follow the prince. He hung up the treasure package to a nearby tree, and whispered who was the first to see this treasure. Then he hurried to pursue the prince.
The princess was surprised to see Upàli running after him. Devadatta asks:
- Upla, what do you run after us? Where are your jewels?
He panted, then told the story. He said he hung up the treasure package on a branch, because when he picked up the treasure package he felt fear for nature, the heart unsafe. He asked the monks to allow him to accompany him to Anupiya for ordination with the Buddha. Devadatta laughed:
- You also want to go out as we do?
But Anuruddha and Bhaddiya immediately agreed:
- Well, so let's go. Having him lead the way is easy for us.
The Buddha and the Sangha are residing in a mango orchard two kilometers south-east of Anupiya, near the Anom River. Seven people seek to see the Buddha. Bhaddiya on behalf of the whole group presented to their Buddha their wish to be ordained. Buddha silently accepted. Bhaddiya continued:
- Lord, we beg for Upàli to be ordained before. So we have to consider Upàli as a brother to eliminate the stigma that remains in our hearts.
The Buddha praised all seven, and then Upalali first, after the six princes. Ānanda was also ordained as a novice, but only ordained as novice [15] and learned in almsgiving. At the age of 20 Ananda was ordained as a novice.
Pāliās devotional discipline is very serious, was praised by the Buddha as the disciples of the first law and often appointed great virtue to reconcile the friction in the mendicant.
In the first class in Sattapanna cave at Ragagaha, the Upàli was proposed to be identical with the Law, consisting of three parts:
1)  Pātimokkha ( Bhikkhu - carnoba, the Supplication ) is about the virtue of the monks and nuns, to help the three karmas and six are pure.
2)  Mahàvagga (Great Fortune ) talks about the ordained monks, penitents, junior, offerings ... in a large group of monks and nuns.
3)  Cullavagga is the law of punishment, harmony, temple building, duty and responsibility of the Sangha, in a small group of monks and nuns.
In the Mandala of the Tantra, Venerable Upàli was ranked seventh, the left side of Shakyamuni, the general Bhikkhu, the whole body color, sitting cross legged on the court lotus leaf

9. Rahula [16] (Rahula), the first secret.

Rahula, born in 1952 in Kapilavatthu, Sanya, is the father of Prince Siddhattha, 29, the mother of Princess Yasodharà, the same age as his father. The word "Rahula" means "condemnation and attachment". It is said that Rahula was born when Rahulàsura-Ràja (lord of the Arahants) laid hands on the moon; Rahula was in her mother's womb for 6 years, so she was named "Phu Chan" (condemned and bound).
After giving birth to Rahula for 7 days, King Suddhodana celebrated his grandson solemnly. In the middle of the night, everyone was tired of sleeping, Prince Siddhattha took good chances with Channa (Khan) on horse Kanthaka (Kien Trac) surpassed the monk.
In -588, when Lord Buddha returned to Kapilavatthu for the first time after his enlightenment, Rāhula requested ordination, at which time he was only 7 years old. The Buddha told the virtue of Sariputta to instruct the precepts and Moggallàna virtue as the Azoan, then gave Rahula as the naga cell, the first novice, to take the rope to keep quiet in the hour the mendicants meditate.
In -581, at the clinic of Badarikà, Rahula was 15 years old, one day, having had to get up early to sweep a large garden, returning home am I was assigned by his master to another mourner in . Rahula stood up blankly when a heavy rain came, he had to run to the toilet to sit down rain. Although he did not blame anyone, he kept the patience and gentleness of the people.
In -579, Rahula was 17 years old, begging for merit at Sariputta in Ragga (Rajagaha), suddenly a scoundrel came to remove the sand into the bowl of Sariputta teacher and took a stick on Rahula's head to bleed . Master Sariputta comforted:
- Rahula, if it is the Buddha disciples must have patience, in the heart never start anger, so compassion mercy beings mislead. The Buddha often teach us, when being praised not born arrogant, humiliated at birth do not bear resentment. Rahula, should temper the anger with patience and compassion to increase the virtue.
Rahula remained calm, went to a house in the street to wash the wound and requested a little cloth to bandage, then he said:
- White teacher, in this world are many people ignorant evil. Where all the boring. The Blessed One teaches us to have great compassion for them, to put the humiliation on us. The mendicants hold the patience to increase the morality, the rascals scorned again, to respect the aggressors more cruel than them. Even if they hear the Buddha teach the truth of compassion for patience, they also think that bad stuff like dead bodies. For those who are fierce without the slightest good, having the Dhamma speak to them is not beneficial either.
The Buddha teaches novice Rahula very strict, especially when he does something illegal. As he grew up, great virtue Rahula strict discipline, is widely praised as the most intimate disciple. He died before the Buddha, about 48 years old, there is a relics tower at Jetavana (tower No. 12).
According to the Lotus Sutra, the Buddha said that thanks to the previous life, Rahula was born as the son of the Bodhisattva Siddhartha, until the Bodhisattva became a Buddha, Rahula became the Buddha. Not only in this life, but in many future lives, Rahula will always be the firstborn of all Buddhas to receive the Dharma, until he becomes the Buddha himself as Saptaratana Padmavikramin ).
