Gender Studies.
G IOI school is one of three courses, concentration, wisdom. Three classes are also known as three classes of learning. This is because these three classes lead to the elimination of the smuggled or, to liberation without having to bring the blessings of heaven.
Meaning of the word
Often, precepts are interpreted to prevent bad things, to stop evil, to stop evil and to do good ("evil only, good deeds").
In the Noble Eightfold Path, Globalization is the aggregate of righteousness, right action and right livelihood. Here the prevention of the wrong actions of the body and speech. When misbehavior is not done, much harm is done to others. This means the "good" of the world.
The word Śūnyatā in the Three Precepts of Prātimoksa (Pāli: Patimokkha) means the Abbot of liberation or the Kingdom of liberation. Liberation is the liberation of part: to keep many freemasons, many freedoms, less liberation. Dependent liberation is liberation depending on the compassionate or the unconditioned.
The dictionary of Rhys Davids explains the precepts Sila (Silà) is derived from the word sil. Sìl has two meanings: Upadhàranà (Moral, Moral of Buddhism, Behavior, Morality) and Samadhi (Meditation).
From Patimokkha means that, in the way of analyzing the words, bind the actions, preserve and promote the actions of the body and the mouth not to fall into the way evil, wrong, harm yourself and people. For example, to force the buffalo to stop eating it.
Gender in the meaning of the day of the world (Pàli: Uposatha, Sk: Upavasatha), Han translation is Barsha-sa-tha, which means resident, nourishing, growth and good.
Chi-Chi (III-A) defines the day of the precepts as the day of the Arahant's life practice (only the eight precepts).
In the thirty-seven dharma teachings, the Blessed One teaches: "The precepts are the foundation of the Four Noble Truths, the Four Noble Truths, the Four Consciousnesses, the Five Requires, the Five Powers, the seven Bodhi Sections and the eight Divine Principles. The land is the foundation, without it the animals can not move, so too, without the precepts, thirty-seven dharmas can not be fully cultivated. "
Through the above definitions, precepts help one attain two goals: to do no evil , to do good deeds . The third goal of Buddhism is to keep the mind pure, eliminate all gongs or ( self-purity ) and also the goal of salvation, need to rely on aggregates and wisdom aggregates.
Time And Reason To Set Gender
According to the history of Edward J. Thomas in The Life of Buddha, the Nunnery was founded in the fifth year after the day of the Enlightenment. Thus, through the sixth year some precepts began to form, and the formation was relatively clear in the tenth year after the Jataka. The vinaya is recorded until the thirteenth year after the enlightenment, the new law is naturally formed, by the Supreme Authenticity (Upàli) charged. Then Patimokkha Bhikkhu (Patimokkha) was born.
Why is not the Order established in the first year of the Church? Traditionally, the Sun just set the precepts, when necessary, when full of conditions. When there is an offense causing a bad influence on the activities of the Sangha, the Blessed One has set up a precept to prevent the evil happening later. In the same way, in the early years, monks are engaged in pure activity within the framework of the Dharma. Therefore, the Buddha does not mention the Precepts, but merely presents the precepts in the simplest and most general form. is the form of the maintenance of the grounds, or in the form of right speech, right action and right livelihood of the Noble Eightfold Path. It was not until the thirteenth year after the Enlightenment, that there were many phenomena of living out of the life of blasphemy, the new Sun established the Ba-la-topic-rustic.
One day, Venerable Naja Blessed Buddha said, "What is the purpose of the study of dharma set up for the disciples of the Tathagata and the Patimokkha Precepts to be read?"
The Buddha taught, for ten purposes that the study of the law was established and the Pātimokkha Precepts were read:
- To increase them to be prosperous,
- To increase them to be secure,
- To stop stubborn people,
- To keep monks safe,
- To tame the smugglers or right in the present,
- To stop the smuggling or the future,
- To bring the faith to those who do not believe,
- To make the growth of faith for those who have faith,
- To marry to exist,
- To be lawful to accept. .
For the above ten purposes, the Precepts are limited to the "evil only" and "good" parts of the three parts (evil, good and self-purposing) that Buddhism aims to achieve.
Thus, the precepts of Nikàya, include only the lay and ordained ones. This is the content of the Law of Discipline or called the escapist.
Content Types
There are many forms of gender classification. The first category, the broader meaning of "Mahayana". There are three types:
- A type called the Law of Discipline , including the gender of the home and the monk: the five precepts, male gender, good sex and gender.
- The second type is called the Noble Truth , taking the practice of all good as sex.
- The third type is called the sexual interest , the job benefits all beings as gender.
The second classification also has a very broad sense of Mahāyāna, including:
- Escaping the precepts , that is the content of the Law of Judgment.
- Defining community , is liberated due to birth, to make gender. Due to the meditation that the mind is pure, the body is fully equipped.
- Direct community , is liberated by wisdom, born intellectual property as gender. Due to the impermanence of the business that is unknowingly, the body is full.
Through the classification of gender, the legal and legal superiority of many moral interests is the Mahayana world; liberation of gender and the determination of the community is called the criminal gender; Directed by the world is called illegal gender.
The ritual sentence is called the liberation of suspicion (or liberation of gender) is the sex world; call the law of birth (or gender) is the gender of the world; And call the law of birth (or direct the world) is illegal gender.
Within the limits of the precepts presented here, we do not go into the details of gender, nor go into the rules of ordination, but only the basic features of the Universe.
Substance and Foundation of Gender
According to the precepts, as well as the whole of the Precepts, especially the ten basic principles for both the atonement and the renunciation related to body, speech and mind, we can find the nature of gender and background. on which Gender is established.
In this case, the single-minded "omnipotence" (not being killed). The basis of this world is not to kill people, secondly, not to kill other sentient beings. As for the precepts, the precepts of precepts of mind, nourishment from the mind, make the mind is calm, peaceful in the present, from here, the precepts do not create evil karma to bear the consequences of suffering in the future. As for the other people and other beings, when the observer is preserved their life is added to ensure safety and security, from suffering the consequences of human anger, harm. Other causes in the present.
For the "unreasonable", "unruly," the guardian prevents greed and does not create additional karmic causes of suffering in the present and future, others and other living beings avoid the damage. harm and live peacefully.
The result of keeping the precepts is the nature of it is to bring joy to yourself and to people, regulate the activities of the collective, to create trust for others. Bring the benefits of peace and liberation for the self-preserver, that is wisdom; To benefit the welfare of others and other species, it is compassion. Wisdom and compassion are the foundation upon which the precepts are established.
The direction of the world is to benefit and peace for themselves and people, so the help people practice the gentle body and mind, peace in every step. The true meaning of it, there is no sense of attachment or bondage. In addition to some actions, if you do, obviously breaking the purity of pure silence should be strictly prohibited, the remaining activities of the liberation practitioners are dependent on grace, openness. Even in prohibited situations, if the "interference" falls into (as "accidental" gender-related events), apart from the will of the meditator, it will not commit, if the person The victim does not articulate or courteous mind according to the event is happening (for example rape, if not start up the mind is not committed).
About the importance of their open nature is limited, but for the light, their nature is very open, flexible, liberal.
Vinaya records that once the Buddhists and pagans blamed the monks standing urinating, that the way that is crude, not elegant. When this incident was presented to the Blessed One, the Blessed One said, "Then, monks, sit and urinate." But on another level, when monks sit urinally, it is reproached that the disciples of the Buddha are all women. When this incident was submitted to the Blessed One, the Buddha said: "If so, stand still." That means that depending on the country, depending on the culture that adapt. This is a typical case of the dynamic and open nature of gender.
Thus the precepts of Buddhism, not as obstinate, as rigid as the dogma of other religions, which have voluntary, practical benefits to themselves and people, to nurture and develops his or her heart and mind.
The Position of Gender in the Buddhist Catechetical System
The School of Concentration and the Ascetic School are more about gender than the rest of the Sutras. Typically, the Brahma Sutra (of Nikaya) and the Brahma Sutta (of the Ajit School) define the position of the precepts in the Buddhist doctrine. In these two sutras, the Buddha confirmed that only the new mortals praised, praised Tathagata about virtue. The praise, praise as Tathagata as true praise is true, praised the wisdom: - "Tathagata has witnessed, enlightened and declared the deeper insight, hard to see, difficult to witness, wonderful, beyond the level of logic, very delicate, only the new wisdom to understand. "
Through the affirmation of the Blessed One, we see that Gautama is only the basic step (precepts, precepts) of Buddhism. To make it clear, Gautama is only the first step of the Five Steps: Gender , Dhyana , Wisdom , Freeing , and Freeing of Knowledge (knowledge that has been liberated).
Gender is the first step, but the stepping stone. If you fall into the world of non-virtue (false preservation of the infidels), broken from the forefront, can not do the next four steps.
That is the meaning of the word Gender in Nikaya and A-ji.
Through the Mahayana (Mahayana), the word of Mankind has wider meaning: The Matter includes both Dhyana and Wisdom. The transcendence of gender (or the law of gender) and the gender of the community is illegal, world community belongs to Tue liberated or illegal gender.
The Bhikkhunī-Bhikkhuīs place the Precepts into one of the six parts of the Bodhisattva's practice called "the Four Noble Truths." About Ba-la-secret is synonymous with the Prime Minister, or synonymous with illegal or illegal, this is liberation.
Although there is a different view in the classification and presentation of the discipline of the Tripitaka and Tibetans, but if we look at the content clearly, there is no real contradiction. It presents the gender limit at the level as presented, over which the South organs discuss Dinh and Tue. This limitation is more formal and conventional than the mental content of the practitioner. In Tibet, Dinh and Tue can be together with the precepts; In the practitioner of the precepts, attaining the Ba-la world requires that the practitioner of the precepts must have sufficient knowledge and wisdom. Shindo and Tue, the practitioner can not achieve the results of the practice that separated all the generals to cling.
Actually, both the Tibetan and the Tibetan all confirm that inseparable from the world, Dinh, Tue. Looking at the eight parts of the Noble Eightfold Path, it is obvious. Gender (or right speech, right action, right livelihood) can not be called Gender, without the presence of Wisdom (right understanding and right thinking). The realization of the world is the realization of Tue, the realization of Tue is also the implementation of Satan.
Understanding the Righteous Thoughts of Gender and Divisions
The problem of transgression results in heavy, light differences between practitioners who have different psychological freedoms, although they make the same mistake. The consequences they receive are also different in the present and in the future.
The salty seeds of the Buddha (I Ch'an) record the clear interpretation of the Buddha in this case. A black man steals a goat from a wealthy, powerful man who can be beaten on the spot and imprisoned. But a royal imperialist stole a goat from the rich, whose power was not beaten, nor jailed. For example, a handful of salt dropped into a large lake or large river, the salinity is not significant, but if you take salt in a jar of water, salinity is significant. Similarly, the same offense, with the dull mind, not practice the world, Dinh, Tue the results can go to hell; But with the people who practice the practice of Gender, Dhamma, Tue, have the widespread mind of view as the result of no (negative).
The Sutra of the Sutra (Siddhartha Sutta III) states that one who has the right view and righteousness before death can go to Heaven in spite of his life creating ten negative karmas; On the contrary, a person with wrong view and doubt before death can go to hell, hungry ghosts, animals, births usually create ten good karma. The presence of ordinary mortals has had such a great influence on the birth of life, but the presence of Wisdom.
Often, on the face of the masquerade, the offense is charged if the three conditions are met:
- Prepared to commit.
- Specific action on the violation.
- Deliberate.
Of the three conditions of condemnation, the two conditions are the part of the mind. The problem of gender is clearly set out to help people keep their mind pure, pure and honest. The realm of defilement is the mind. Thus, the problem of keeping the real world is a matter of keeping the sense of purity, basically observing the mind and controlling it. For those who cultivate consciousness is pure, static, then it certainly has a full body.
Even though there are many precepts, there is still the root of consciousness. Remembrance is pure the world bar. It is possible to state that there is only one basic precept of the world: away from evil, ungodly, away from craving, anger and clinging .
Gender is clear, through the presentation above, is to bring happiness and long-term happiness for themselves and for the present and future. Keeping the precepts is to preserve that happiness; It is harmful to the source of happiness, happiness.
Gender is not exclusive to monastic or lay Buddhist monks, nor is it reserved for the elders but for all people of all ages, for whom Want to live peace and happiness for yourself and the people in the present and in the future.
If happiness is the object that humanity is forever seeking, then it is true that precepts are what humanity needs to hold on its way to happiness. It is time for human beings to eliminate all gender misunderstandings of Buddhist doctrine in order to come closer to the precepts and to hold the Precepts of loving-kindness as one's happiness.END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/7/2018.
