FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS.
A. To erect a steadfast aspiration to liberation from the cycle of reincarnation, we need to thoroughly control the predestined and weigh the reasons for this desire to escape. The first thing to acknowledge is that the body and mind we have arranged to take kho.Tu Truths [1] , the first catechesis of the Buddha-mentioned directly to the issue of this truth nay.Cac Suffering, the truth of suffering; Truth, truth about the cause of suffering; Truth, the truth of the cessation of suffering and the Truth, the truth about the way to kill suffering. The decision to show only the above mentioned truth in such order of the Buddha has a great significance for the Our Buddha teaches the truth of suffering first to emphasize the importance of understanding what we often consider to be true happiness is suffering.
When you realize that you are in the sea of suffering, you will arise the desire to be free from suffering it. And for that reason, you feel that first need to kill the cause. Cause suffering. When you find out the root cause of suffering, you will discover the defilement and karma. Therefore, you have the ability to realize that the cycle of rebirth and suffering is structured. created by your own actions; karma is misused by afflictions, afflictions are from deep roots, false beliefs in sustainability, or inherent or egoic. our sense of self, we will discover that we tend to think of it as a real, independent existence outside our body and mind. When we try to locate it, it moves away from us.
In many different religious beliefs, a group of people do not accept life after death and another group of people accept it. There are two groups of people who accept life after death. The One group asserts that afflictions and defilements of the mind can be eliminated and purified while the other believes it is impossible. The latter group maintains that until the mind comes out of affliction So eliminating defilements also means that the mind itself is also destroyed. In the group of people who think that the last consciousness is also separated from the constellations and the kinds of afflictions - that is the group of people. Nibbana-Nibbana is considered the place to completely cure suffering, is a highway to the great peace to the world of surplus.[2]. The table is present in the very foundation of spirituality and that is the view of the followers of Buddhism.
Dukkha:
In order to understand the First Deity, the Noble Truth; People need to think about suffering. They often consider themselves a treasure in the universe and often treat themselves more precious than the Buddha. However, this type of attachment, never give To the coast of peaceful peace. Because from the endless to the present, we have rolled in the cycle of birth and death with countless infallibility. From childhood to now, we have experienced many ups and downs, wandering and confused. Our life is surrounded by many problems, many suffering, so much trouble and endless failure. Finally life will end with death and we also do not know for sure. Where does it go? Let's examine it truthfully that there is a way out of existence. If the printing life as it is initiated in a manner independent of all conditions,
Cultivation, vocabulary, and mind have bound us in the cycle of birth and death. As we know, in a moment (lightning) we can accumulate both the three This momentum has pushed us down into the lower realm. The bonding has arisen from an unconditioned mind due to ignorance and the myth of self. The natural notion of a separate kind of independent ego will inspire us to indulge in all sorts of negative karma that results in painful suffering. This solipsistic attitude has long mastered us. We will forever obey the orders of the master of the wrong. Therefore, we need to recognize that you will not harvest the benefits of swinging.
In such critical situations, let us examine whether we can overcome these afflictions. The experience of first being born is a painful experience for both mother and son. To be born, afflictions have a natural instinct that grasps our body and mind; Then obstruct the mind that we are not directly directed towards the Dharma to practice. The body itself is the place to become factors triggering defilement. For example: when sick, weak body I am the yard; When we are healthy, we are in the center of attachment. Life is, of course, followed by death and death, followed by another birth. If this is not enough then the resurrection itself is seen as a fundamental foundation for many other suffering afflictions.
The human body that we preserve as a treasure came from stained objects. The truth is that we are made of a seminal mixture of the mother's seminal parent eggs. We will avoid seeing the clothes. blood or semen, or if any drops are dropped on the ground. Still, we continue to cultivate ourselves; Try to use nice clothes to cover up the body, use the scent to cover up the odor of their own. Parents, grandparents, ancestors we are also born from the same substance. We will find that the body is the final product of all these impure qualities. One more step, one can see the body as a machine producing feces and urine. When we see the worms, one ear eats the mud and the other ends for excretion.
In addition, humans are also capable of threatening the survival of the Earth. People like Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong because their minds have not been subdued, are not only accumulating innumerable evil karmas, It also influences how many beings, creating a lot of sadness, suffering and tragic torment.
Next is the suffering by the senile-old suffering. [3] The old age piles up gradually; So we can not afford to. When old cars, we will lose the flexibility of youth and can not digest the food that we used to like a time. And what things that we previously remember very clearly, now because of old age we can not remember. Gradually, teeth fall out, hair left, eyes blurred, disorientated. Finally, we will have to come to an end. Everyone and everyone starts to want to run away even if only a glimpse of our shadow. When the time has to rely on the help of others, people will avoid seeing you.
Next is suffering disease. [4] The body is sick, the heart is agitated anxiety, so you will end up tormenting day and night. Diseases also interfere with you can not eat anything. I like doing what I want to do.And you are forced to drink drugs that have the taste that you disgust
Next is death. [5] You will leave all your precious possessions, away from loved ones and even your body that has pursued you for life, you will also have to leave it. . The misery of dying is too obvious to us, so it is not necessary to explain more.
Finally, resentment of suffering [6]For example, to meet the haters. There are so many kinds of experiences in the present life. The Tibetan people lose our freedom; That is the suffering suffering right here. Even the people of a great superpower like the United States of America still suffers from all sorts of nuisance. Sometimes they have been spoiled because of their growth in such a materialistic environment. Because of their overbearing temperament, they have been living in a state of anxiety over others. To some extent it is nice, but if you overstate the restraint as it did in the United States, it would lead to jealousy and extreme resentment. Sometimes people throw food away in the ocean. But the other side of the globe is African countries with millions of hungry people.
Next is the separation of suffering. [7] For example: the Tibetan people we have deprived the country also suffered mourning hair separated from loved ones. The unsatisfactory also a kind of suffering For example, crop failure or start a failed business etc.
Another aspect of suffering is to look at the suffering of uncertainty. [8] Through many reincarnations, or sometimes in just one life, all things change. My mother, my dear relatives become enemies, and my enemies become friends, or my parents come back to be our own children. There is no fixed thing.
Tsong-kha pa teaches us: Let us strive to prevent any form of biased favoring others, by relying on the stigma or the rationale that this is the enemy, this is your friend. It is the indwelling of the whole of our lives in this period of time and seeking to articulate some disgusting thoughts [9] towards samsara. [10] There is one Another pain, it is suffering because not satisfied [11]If you really contemplate the total amount of food that you have eaten all your life, then you will be bored and amazed to eat so what is the purpose? This is the case of this present life; So how many past lives if we try to contemplate, we will star on those lives, for example, all the milk of mother that we have drunk from childhood to now? Imagine all the prosperity as well as suffering in this continuous cycle and think about whether there is no experience you have not experienced. To achieve a form of spiritual satisfaction, one tries to enjoy, but all the joy and happiness of samsara is printed as a feeling of never satisfying; How to enjoy them.
There is a suffering to continue and to continue to discharge the body. So far we have experienced so many incidents and put on many forms, but we are still nostalgic to make life and the body. a lot of meaning.Ta has not achieved anything at all simply put on his countless count of body shapes comedy.
I have experienced repeated pregnancy and recurrent. The Buddha said that if we pick up the pebbles to count the number of our mothers, each one represents a mother, the score will not be the same. When thinking of all the prosperity in the cycle All of them ended in an unhappy and dysfunctional way, as the French said, "The fate of convergence is scattered, the peak of fame is recession; The meeting is split; In the end, every experience, every bliss, all happiness in samsara are in the end of misery, no matter how superficial it seems to be. Again, that's all.
The second type of suffering is called suffering. [12]For all the happy pleasures of the world are finally transformed into suffering, so called suffering. The suffering is misunderstood as an experience of joy. For example; If you are having a fever or are getting hot, and if there is cold water to flush the body, you will feel some comfortable feeling. And we see this as a kind of happiness. , after a long stroll, you have the opportunity to rest, that moment of rest is indeed great happiness. But this is not a happy experience; What you are really feeling is just the gradual cessation of past suffering. If you are sitting is a genuine delight, then continue to sit sure to create the feeling of joy like. As such,
The third type of suffering is suffering [13], which means that our minds and bodies are controlled by so many conditions that almost can endure all suffering at any moment. These three kinds of suffering can be described as follows. If you suffer When you apply the paste, it will give you some feeling to be treated and comfortable. This is like the case of Sorrow, because although it is comfortable at the moment, pleasant pleasure can not last. If someone accidentally hits or gets watery, Get a sore throat. It is obvious that suffering is suffering. Happiness can cause the first two. If we are not burned, then we will not have the experience after that.
We should clearly understand the types of suffering, such as the suffering of the animals, the hungry ghosts and the beings in hell; All can happen right in human beings. After the Chinese started the occupation, many died of starvation in Tibet. At times, the Tibetan people almost had to eat leaves, insects and worms. These cases are very similar to hungry ghosts. In Africa, such suffering exists, so millions of people are dying of hunger. In war-torn countries, people must suffer miserably as in the hell realm, because of the political differences. When Stalin came to power, he applied tyrannical and inhuman methods. According to the document, under Stalin's rule, as many as 14 million and five hundred thousand people died before the Second World War.
Even the gods must suffer. They can see that before they die, they are mentally distressed. The daughters teach that their corals will fade; Their clothes and body also start to smell bad. They have completely degraded the potential of good karma after all the pleasures of the heavens. Therefore, they will fall directly to the lower realms. At death, Tsong-kha-pa teaches that by reason of all the sufferings of samsara in general, and the suffering in each of the realms, of all the limited experience in samsara, and let emerge a way of passing away. In the end, I will really begin to investigate what causes such misfortunes have led to. Thus, the second question of the Second Truth,
Enlightenment
Negativity is the primary cause of the birth of samsara. Without defilement, kamma will be like the seed that has been consumed and will not be capable of causing a continuous birth. medicine to dispel distress is very important; And it is up to you, is it true that you have acknowledged the affliction? Therefore, we need to be clear about the common characteristics and particular characteristics of afflictions. As the First Dalai Lama said, subdue the enemies within themselves. That is the affliction. The external enemy can be considered as very aggressive but can become our friend in the future. In the present life, they have provided us the opportunity to cultivate. Patience and compassion, because basically we are all the same;
Let's take a look at some of the major afflictions. First is greed, which is the intense desire for people, either for beautiful things, or for joyful experiences. Another type of affliction, that is, anger. When people are angry, we can immediately see that they have lost their calm, the face of the nose. Reddish, wrinkled even their eyes are red. The object of indignation, whether animated or inanimate, is that which is not desirable and should be rejected. Another type of affliction-arrogance-is the spiritual state in which people boast of their own status, class, and education by relying on a self-centered attitude. point;
Another type of mental defilement, which is the wrong kind of insight, is a misperception of the nature of reality. The first of these kinds of wrongs is the psychological state of the self. The ego exists true, or there is an imaginary reality that even in our transitory and transient consciousness there is a kind of eternal, independent self. These are the kinds of wrong viewpoints that have no life after death, no action and no Three Jewels. Based on the false understanding of the self, there are other afflictions. For example, if heaven If you have a rope, you may realize that the rope is a snake. Then the idea of recognizing the string is that the snake will catalyze and will lead to all sorts of reactions in the mind like fear; and will lead to all sorts of actions, such as running out of the house or attempting to kill a snake ... all based on a purely simple assumption. Thus, we mistakenly believe that both our body and mind possess a form And the result is that all kinds of afflictions will follow like desire and anger. Because of the attitude of self as the center of gravity and the misconception of the self of self, discriminating against themselves and others. Then based on how others treat us; I will see a pair of close friends, and attach to them; Some others are distant and list them as enemies. Thus, we resent anger and, because of our full attention to self, we should be arrogant and self-important. Later, If the grasp of the misconception of the self is too intense, we will begin to question whether the teachings of the selflessness of the Buddhas deserve to be trusted. Thus, we begin to doubt the karmic law, the Four Noble Truths, the Three Jewels. These wrong views lead to skepticism. They all begin with a false belief in one. The real fall of self.
When defilements arise within you, it will stir up much of the calmness of your mind, and it will simultaneously blind your judgment of others. It will leave a very deep defect. Damage to yourself, but also harm to others too.For example: if you are too fierce to produce a fight, you will cause nuisance to neighbors. Outrage will devastate the merit and make you We all lose our possessions and friends. When a person is restrained by the influence of anger, that person truly loses his or her personal qualities. Our kind is equipped with a very complex mind. We have the capacity to judge right and wrong, as well as the ability to measure the right situation. In other useful species, we have a product. unique natural gift; However, we lose that ability when we are weighed down by the intense influence of affliction. Although we can decide to do something, but we have lost the ability to judge. Subduing the mind is the most important part of a person's life.
Noble Truth
As Tsong-kha-pa taught: all the realms of samsara that we can be born of, from the highest point of existence to the lowest realm of hell, are suffering nature. This is not to be taken for granted, nor was it created by an omnipotent God. They are the product of our own afflictions and our unresponsive mental states. The cause of all suffering is ignorance, and because of ignorance, there is a false understanding of the nature of things and has seen the self as a living entity. This ignorance makes us exaggerate the state of all things, and has created the distinction between ourselves and others. These things will be magnified. to the experiences of desire, of anger ... and the result is a variety of negative behaviors. They also produce all the unwanted suffering for us. If we do not want suffering, we try to determine whether the cessation of suffering is feasible? If ignorance makes us hope for self is a consciousness. Mistakes can still be avoided by correcting this mistake. This can be achieved by starting within ourselves a kind of wisdom that can penetrate the direct antipathy of the mind. consciousness, it is a kind of insight that is insightful that there is no intrinsic inner self; and the second is a state of consciousness which directly perceives the absence of such an ego-type. The attachment to the ego as originally explained is very strong and strong. However, since it is a There is another inner form, which is the insight of selflessness, It seems very weak in the first period, but it is very reasonable. Sooner or later, the insight is capable of explaining not self. At the beginning, truth may not be clear, but as we get closer to the truth, the more truth becomes self-evident. What's wrong with the initial stage is very flexible and solid; But the more we investigate, the more it becomes more fragile, eventually leading to disintegration.
Defilement is different from consciousness, it is not part of the essence of the inner essence. For example: Some people are very temperamental, but sometimes they are temperamental. Therefore, when mental states of affliction like anger and desire arise in us, they are very violent and strong. But, if we are aware of, then not. Now is the case that these states of consciousness continue to exist. Another truth is that we can not have two simultaneous psychological states at the same time for an object; As for someone, one can not have both deep hatred and compassion.
There are many different situations right in our minds; There are some very subtle and inexorable situations, some of which are positive and some positive. In the bipolar principle, we find very clearly that the higher the level of awareness and the greater the familiarity with the bipolar. This is where the attachment to the other side becomes weaker. Therefore, the righteous defilements and defilements in our mind can be eliminated. Our experience demonstrates that there are some people It was very hot and easily provoked at a young age, but became very peaceful later on. This proves that when our mind is familiar with endless love and compassion, the power of indignation will gradually decrease.
The Noble Truth
As we have seen and understood that all experience in samsara is inherent in the nature of suffering, so we should sincerely pray for the sake of liberation. To enter the three path: Gender, Dinh, Hue [14]. In the third school, the antidote can eliminate the negativity is the wisdom knowledge of non-self. Towards that purpose, first need to get Spiritual stability, dedicated to the foundation, but the spiritual focus is due to relying on the pure precepts. Therefore, we also need to maintain the net. In the initial stage, the priority must be made, that is the morality, because morality is extremely urgent need.
Tsong-kha-pa teaches that mindfulness [15] is the foundation of the whole teaching of the Buddha. To calm the world, the capacity of righteousness (mindfulness) and mindfulness (staying in mindfulness) is a must. For men and women at home, the pure precepts to abstain from negative karmic retribution are the foundation of spiritual practice for the path of enlightenment. If we do not consider things Practical, such as morality that only search for complex spiritual practice, our practice is simply false, not really serious. a realization of liberation, not only for yourself but also for all species.
The human body is the best form to practice Buddhism and to end the cycle of rebirth. With the human body, the life of the lay people is often confused with all sorts of problems. So the secular activities that they are busy with often do not help much for their practice. The life of monks and nuns is often considered to have helped cultivate. Tsong-kha-pa teaches that if you are already a monk or a nun, then your will to become a monk will be more determined. the shortcomings and inconveniences of home life, the advantages and the advantages of the ordained life. It will save your deepest memories of good karma so that someday it will turn into the charms that lead you towards the life of cutting the body even now you have not decided. In this secular life, if you are too rich, your life will be overwhelmed by so many problems and anxieties to preserve the property; If you are poor, your life will be just a brush to find a livelihood. There are many material things and still not sufficient knowledge (know enough); This is not the way of life of a monk or nun. Suffering and nibbling should not be involved in business dealings unless they fall into debt ringing. Trade and commit too much to the cause. Make a financial contribution when you have adequate food reserves and then need to truly discharge.
There is a monk from Gandenmonastery who is a very serious Buddhist monk. He made a vow never to live under one roof, and he has practiced so much Last year, he told me that one day when he was meditating a snake crawled across his face and gazed at him. The Zen Master looked back at the serpent and started speaking a few words. I feel quite amused as it seems that the teacher is teaching the snake to him. He told me, the snake looked at him for a long time and slowly crawled away quietly.
The importance of the precepts was emphasized and emphasized by the Buddha himself. When the Buddha was entering Nibbana he was questioned, who would inherit him, and he taught that the precepts would be scouting and is the master of all Buddhist teachings. He has confessed that precepts are his successor.
In order to overcome the defilements of defilements, the key issue is to be mindful of self-control, and to know how to prioritize self-seeking for the stronger emotions. People are so passionate about sensual pleasures, some people are very hot and some people are very ignorant and lazy. You have to question your personality and try to win the most expressive lovelorn. As mentioned above, you need to make the best effort to ensure that no vows are violated. However, if you discover that you have violated some of the vows, you should not ignore them. Most of all, immediately apply the necessary methods to restore purification. When purifying a violation Because even violating the oath can restore "a very dangerous outcome; This is like deliberately taking poison and thinking that it will be cured.
Once you have recognized the essential character of morality and thought of so much peace and tranquility if you could eliminate all afflictions, then as explained earlier, you need to first recognize the individual. Once upon a time, let them meditate on their destructive, destructive nature, and then apply mindfulness and mental capacity. The more powerful and revealing the defilements are, the more resistant the resistance is, like using a hammer to smash sharp objects. If you simply abandon them, they will be true. Damage to yourself and to others. The brain is very powerful, but if analyzed carefully, defilements are not so great. Once I had consulted one of the gurus. I,
All we need to win glory is to have the will and perseverance to try. To defeat the enemy afflicted, so that the need to have the appropriate attitude. Our spirit is so important that the Supreme Patriarch of India, when encountering anyone, the first question he raised was, "Is your mind today honest?" You can beat the enemy. Usually once, but they can still coordinate back and attack continue. But once the defilement has been eliminated then they have no way of recurrence.
Any attainment that you gain from practicing the Dharma must be judged and judged on the basis that your attachment to the karmic principle has grown; END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.24/7/2018.
