Confucius has a student who likes to debate. One day, the student came to visit Confucius to meet someone standing at the gate.

The visitor prevented the other student from asking,  "Heard that his teacher is Confucius, so your education must be very high. He asked me how many seasons? If you answer correctly, I will bow to you, but if you answer wrong, you must bow to me. "

The disciple thought for a moment and said,  "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, there are four seasons!"

The guest argued,  "Sai! There are three seasons! "

The student feels really bizarre and says,  "It's been a year of four seasons, why do you say there are three seasons?"

Right at the two debates, Confucius came out. The guest asked,  "Holy one!Please judge, how many seasons are there in the last year? "

Confucius looked at the guest and said,  "Three seasons!"

The guest was extremely triumphant, turned to the student of Confucius: 'You heard clearly, do not bow me a bow to apologize?'  Talking and then laughing straight ha ha go straight.

The student was very strange, asked the Confucius:  "Teacher! There are four seasons in a year, how about three seasons? "

Confucius replied,  "Do not you see the other? It is a locust that transforms into. One year, locusts live only three seasons, spring, summer and autumn, it does not know winter? You argue with it is not never ending? 

The disciple awakens to understand the profound intentions of the sage: arguing with people not in the same realm is a waste of time in vain.

Lao Tzu said:  "False counterfeit, unwholesome  defender " (ie: good people do not argue, arguers are not good). Cultivation, maturity in a person's life is expressed in the work, not in words, arguing. In the past, the  truth has not been discussed.

The wrong person thinks that controversy is the affirmation of the truth that belongs to him. In fact, truth does not belong to man, but the direction of the universe. The task of the military is to use the mind to cultivate the realm of truth, called enlightenment, fullness. The little man takes his insatiable insistence on high and low with others. In  Ethics , Lao Tzu writes:  "The Tao of the Master is to  do without contention . " One of the three principles of the Supreme Master of Buddhist education is HUMAN. To abstain from arguing is the highest level of human life.

During the Northern Song when he was young, he was walking on the streets of Luoyang, suddenly a man cursed him. A pedestrian came to Phu Toan to say: " Young man, someone is scolding you ." Phu Bong finished listening to said: " It seems to scold others. "That person again said," People even call your name that scolded . "Phu Bau thought a bit and said," Maybe scolding someone, maybe that same person with my name. "Later, people cursed Phu Bong to hear his reaction should be very embarrassed, to apologize to Phu Boi. 

Phu Bieu is not behaving like a soldier, not arguing with the minor. It is not as soft as it is not to focus on the small things, one step wide sea sky . So, the ancient people that smart people but fools are the new deity of the wise man. Life is too short and precious, the need to do too much, why because of the annoyance that wasted time ? Understanding the religion of the idiot, you will find another realm of great wisdom.

It is clear that the ancients saw the quality of the military as being in action, saying less doing much, taking action rather than pretending to be skeptical, having said so humbly, justly, even silently did not say. The opposite person, say a lot but do nothing. So the new people have the sentence: 'Eat like a dragon, say like a dragon climbing ...' 

It is very easy to understand that those who do not tolerate arguments because they are still ... working hard. Privates do little, so free talk, in essence not really competent. The financiers will cherish the finite time, once they do not return, they should devote whole-heartedness to the work, not wanting to pay for the wrong argument. Fighting against the high and low they have let go long ago ...
