Buddhist teachings for the Anathapindika.
In forty-five years of propagation of the dharma, the Buddha entered nineteen times in the Shiva, at the Viennese Pagoda, created by the monks of the Atonement, in the Jeta Kingdom. Whenever the Buddha enters the meditation center during the three rainy months, the monks visit the Buddha twice daily. His main purpose is only to see the face of virtue, but if favorable conditions, also heard the French. Thus, monks are often hesitant to ask the Buddha a few issues related to the Dharma. Because he thought: "I am the great benefactor of the Church, I should not have the impression that the Sangha misunderstood our donation, in exchange for the precious Dharma of the Buddha!"
For monotheistic cultivation, offerings come from good karma, from delight in doing good deeds, not on merit. It is in the purity of doing good, the noble joy is a reward worthy! He always tries to avoid causing the Sangha or the Buddha to feel that "every time the Sangha comes, the Buddha must give him a lecture" - on the contrary, if the Buddha or a particular subject Dhamma talk to him, is due to compassion and joy to impart their Dharma!
From that reason, when coming to the Buddha, monks and nuns, after the bow of the Buddha, always quietly sitting aside, first to see what the Buddha taught. Then if the Buddha did not have the message, he would have the opportunity to tell the Buddha, the ups and downs of his life, especially the anecdotes continue with what the Buddha had. know.
It does not bother her to show off her life, but to ask the Buddha for accurate analysis, profound remarks about each situation and to approve or criticize his conduct. At the same time, it is also the beginning of a discourse to be taught by the Buddha. As a result, there are many good deeds in his life that have made the basis of the Buddhist teachings.
Therefore, many of the teachings of the Buddha dedicated to the Theravada Buddhism have become quite common in the doctrine of liberation, especially the teachings of the lay practitioner. All of these teachings can be considered as a law applicable to the improvement of the minds of lay Buddhists. Considering this aspect, Anathapindika was not only a great benefactor of the church when the Buddha was in the money, but he was also a great philosopher of the lay generation.
These teachings are scattered throughout the entire Anguttara Nikàya - you need to refer to the full, find the Nyanaponika "The discourse collection in numerical order", by The Wheel of Numbers 153, 155. Part II of Numbers 208, 211 and Part III of Numbers 238, 240.) stretches from the simplest statements to the most profound teachings. Hereafter, we quote only a small number of fundamentalist statements dedicated to lay people:
- Hey children! The noble Buddhist, once impregnated with the Dharma, daily is willing to hold the living environment, care for four sowing. Because of that they will have the name, will be resident in the next life on the landscape! So what are these four things? "
- Hey children! The four things to cultivate are food, clothing, shelter and medicine. Four of these, you should always give the monks round enough morality, because they are the blessed of beings! "(Anguttara Nikaya IV: 60).
Another place, Buddha said:
- Hey children! There are four types of happiness that lay people can achieve: "happiness is mastered", "happiness is rich", "happiness is not owed to others," and "happiness no one grumbles. "
Then the Buddha explained:
1 / Hey children! The rich by virtue of their energy and diligence, with their hands, sweat with tears of courage. At the same time think: What we have is worthy, legitimate, is pride! Think of it like that, and satisfy it as "Happiness of the master".
2 / He who is rich and legitimate, and because of his diligence, then enjoy themselves, and know how to share for those who miserable or create good conditions, planted in the blessed Sang increase, and at the same time think : I deserve this wealth. We also know to use a piece of the rich to make good, create a good after life. I am the righteous and righteous. I am always satisfied! Thought like that is happiness is more wealth.
3 / A person does not owe anybody, no matter how big or small. At the same time I think: I am a worthy citizen in society. I am not a source of suspicion, a source of cheating for anyone. Such thoughts are happy without debt.
4 / Noble Buddhists are never reproached or reprehensible, whether in the mind, by action or by word! Then he thought: I am happy because no one blamed or disdained through the three channels, body and speech. This goodness makes our life always self-confident and pure. Such thinking is called Happiness not being mourned by the world (Anguttara Nikaya IV, 62: Raising Awareness IV.
The above is the "French number four" (ie the French four). And "French number of years" (France has five generations), the extract is as follows:
The Buddha said:
- Hey Buddhists at home! There are five things that people have longed to have, always like close and constantly looking for ways to create their own: long life, beauty, joy, reputation and heavenly beings.
But these Buddhists at home! Tathagata does not teach the children to burn incense or pray for the year to be happy, because it is superstitious and do useless.
Noble Buddhists are those who know what superstition is, do not trust and delight in the form of sacrificial worship, praying where the power. In contrast, they are always self-confident, pure and live in accordance with the Noble Eightfold Path. Then their life expectancy will increase, increasing to infinity.
Similarly, for the four remaining desires, Buddhists who live in right understanding also do not believe in God or the Divine can give themselves beauty, joy, fame, or bring themselves to the realm. God. They live only in accordance with the Noble Eightfold Path. Then their beauty will increase, their happiness will last long, their scent will widen, and their lives will be born higher. (Anguttara Nikaya V. 43) No. V. 43).
In another article, "The Dharmakaya", the Buddha said:
- Hey Buddhists at home! There are five possible causes for a wealthy person to be happy:
1. Properly Treat Parents, Wives and Children in the House: The righteous person is a person who knows how to use the wealth that is legitimately created, not only to bring about happiness. but also bring happiness to families including parents, wife and children and people who live in. From there people living under their common roof, will always seek to protect that wealth for the community to enjoy.
2. Treat properly with friends, colleagues: The rich have enough virtue, who know the opportunity for their friends, colleagues and prosperity as well. From there they will be respected by their friends and colleagues and paid for their gratitude.
3. Treat properly with wealth: Italy speaks about how to preserve, know how to prevent hackers, and choose the right person to commit, or put them in safe places.
4. Treat properly with kinship, family line. If in the field of commerce, also have to know the right treatment with customers, local dignitaries (books called demons), kings and gods. Those who, when properly treated by the rich, will be satisfied, praised and protected.
5. Treat properly with angels, saints and racial goods: Especially to treat the righteous with the monks keep the precepts, remove false views, lazy and practice the humiliation, humility Give each day the effort and self-control, calm the mind and purify the mind.
The above-mentioned moment of truth is true in both aspects: matter and spirit! Because lay people live righteously, know and practice the full five kinds of righteous deeds, then by virtue of past lives, they can become poor, lose all their possessions, they also have happiness. Faith in the mind, thinking that: "Material upheavals in life that is in impermanence! But I still do, because I lived according to the law! " Then their mind was calm!
On the contrary, if the layperson lived the right way, by practicing the five noble ways of becoming richer and richer than before, they did not lose the faith, net in the heart. They think that: "We benefit from the wealth of good people who have cultivated in previous lives that present good karma, treated full with the five conditions to maintain happiness! And I have reaped good fruit in this life is a true test! I should not be so easy to become, neglected in the cultivation of virtue! " It means that in two cases of "ups and downs" the righteous lay people are not materially wandering soul! (Anguttara Nikaya V. 41: Increasing Genus Function V. 41).
The important point to reiterate here is that through another "Dhamma Number Four," in the Buddha's case, the Buddha, on occasion, speaks of the dharma to the false heads, the friends of the monotheist, who Emphasize to the founder of the temple Ky Vien that:
- This great monk, Satori! The four virtues that people consider precious, desirable, honorable and difficult to find are:
1. Please allow me to create legal wealth.
2. When there are many legitimate things, let me create the name, along with the kinship, the teacher.
3. Please allow me to live a long life, as high as possible.
4. When the general network, please allow me to go to heaven.
- This monk level! Want to create the coast to the fruit, enjoy the four blessings mentioned above, he planted four good people.
- This monk level! What are these four good people? It is completely in faith, totally in the moral world, completely in the gift, and completely in the intellect (According to Anguttara Nikàya IV, 61).
Moreover, true faith can only be attained when we are fortunate to meet an omniscient, adore him, and understand the truth in his gospel! Especially to be aware of the nature of everything that exists in the gospel! A Buddhist wants to be a virtuous member, to keep at least the five precepts, such as the "basic moral" in life. And almsgiving is another good deed, the ability to drift greed, stinginess, evil one constantly cramped xinxing!
One who gains the wisdom of liberation is the one who sees clearly: Whoever is mentally disturbed by greediness, malice, depression, agitation, forgetfulness and suspicion, will often do great deeds. Not worth doing, and vice versa will ignore the opportunity to perform many good karma! Not to mention acquaintances, the neglect is good, then the result of the money is that they will lose "prestige" and spend money!
But the degree of good behavior is different. They always purify their minds, observe the motives that motivate them to create, so that they are always willing to remove the obstacles of affliction. (Objections to afflictions are: 1 / greed, 2 / evil mind, 3 / laziness plus laziness, 4 / anxiety plus anxiety, 5 / suspicion. For more information, read "The Five Mental Hindrances" by Nyànaponika. No. 26.) wait for them to push the evil industry! And the result of that vigilance is gaining wisdom!
Buddhists live righteously, by virtue of cultivating faith, morality, generosity and wisdom, which inherit the four happy things are wealth, prosperity, long life, and regeneration of the landscape. And then they do not neglect the play, use these blessings to constantly create more good karma, they not only made themselves, their families happy, but they also make friends, social be happy to spread. Conflicts between human beings and their people are avoided, so as to act on the "righteousness of the five" as mentioned above. The most appropriate treatment with the right step, religious.
On the contrary, those who are rich and do not know how to use their wealth to cultivate good people give birth to four "happy fruits", is called living people without purpose, wasting their wealth in a way. meaningless.(Anguttara Nikaya IV 61).
On another occasion, the Buddha also explained and classified the different ways of creating and using the property, in a lecture entitled "Ten Classes of People Who Make and Use Wealth". The Buddha said:
1. The fool, especially the one who desires to make money innocently and then stored, not dare to use for himself, nor dare to use for his wife and children, family.
2. Lighter is a person who has wealth, created by all means, but only to use for their own, not to care about his wife and children, family.
3. Third-class people make up half of all mankind in the world. They are the kind of wealthy people who, despite their righteousness or righteousness, prefer to use only their own and their families' wives and children.Absolutely they do not share it with anyone else.
All three classes of people who despise law, contempt for good karma. But if they see the bailiff arrested by the bureaucrats, they will also be found guilty of treason. That is, they see only the faults of others, not the ones that criticize their actions.
4. The fourth person with the minimum knowledge is to know that: The basic purpose of creating wealth and preserving wealth is to bring happiness to oneself, but fear is one of things. happy. Therefore, they try to create a piece of legal code, to publicly use it first, and then give it to relatives, peacefully.
5. The fifth person likes peace in the soul, especially not afraid. So they always try to make good things, so that they can be used for themselves or for others, and in both cases, they are satisfied, they are not guilty of conscience or fear of conflict. Two ways are good and bad.
6. The sixth person is a person who is completely illegal. But too frightened, buried a hidden place, sometimes even to death do not dare to use. So that property does not bring happiness to themselves, or to anyone.
7. Seventh person is the type of person who creates the property, not only in accordance with the law of the state, but also in the right way, and they are very happy to use it. But think: This wealth is not easy to find, so they are only reserved for themselves and the family only. They do not dare to give.
8. The eighth person is the type of person who always lives by virtue and virtue, using talents and virtues to create wealth, then use it for himself, his family, and help others.
9. The ninth person is the human rich, like the upper. When they are rich in the present, they think of the good things they have created in the past, and then bring them to life, making it a place to live in the future. They often give gifts, make blessings, build pagodas etc.
10. The tenth class is the great master, or cakkavatti king, wealth a lot. But by virtue of wisdom they find that: In the greatness of that, there are dangerous germs, if we are easy to be, led to the corrupt or entangled in samsara! Then they always use that property, bring joy and happiness to others, aim at all human beings, beings. Especially in the direction of creating good conditions for later they will be freed.
In the rapture, there is a passage from the Buddha asking the monk to see if his family prepared food "thoughtful" yet?
This sentence must make the reader feel something is strange, because a Buddha rarely ask a curious question, "so trivial"!
But, according to the commentary, it refers to the "respect" of the object. The word "thoughtful" means "respectfully," because the Buddha acknowledges that monotheistic monks always offer to monks and give alms to the poor in a full and spacious way. Still afraid, maybe the servant on behalf of him doing it, may show a lack of respect, when delivering food to the recipient.
From then on, one problem is whether the attitude of giving or giving is polite or not ?!
The Buddha analyzed:
- This monk level! When one dedicates or gives something to another, the blessing of doing so is not determined on the value of the object, but on the mind of the good practitioner. If you just give a mediocre food with honor, then the blessing is still more than a precious thing that looks superficial, if you do not want to say scorn! Anyone who donates food or food to monks or poor people who only "go out there" or "invite", but in reality there is no faith, no respect, the consequences of the In the next life, people will find food even delicious to mouth will not want to eat, good clothes or brand new, worth wearing, they are shy, go find his old clothes to wear. Their five senses are slow, not flexible. Not to mention children,
On the other hand, the virtue of the beneficiary is also very important!Concerning this, the Buddha told the Noble Eightfold Path to hear the story of a Brahman named Velāma. This brahman has personally distributed a lot of food sincerely to a beggar crowd, but unfortunately among them, there is no one who has enough virtue to be worthy of the heart of the other.
Therefore, the Buddha concludes:
- This monk level! Dignity will, of course, always bring good results. But giving to a hundred people without virtue, can not be compared with the offering to only a roundly qualified subjects, especially the Saints since the Buffalo up! Particularly the offerings to the holy liberation Arahats, the Buddha's Prerogative or the Enlightened One are immeasurable blessings. As well as the construction of pagodas, truth propagation and maintenance of the Three Jewels, the blessing is equal to the total number of dust particles into the earth.
However, the blessed source of blessing is still three people to rely on: Buddha said, French security and security. To speak in a more understandable way is "Buddhist refuge, refuge in the Dharma and Sangha increase." At the same time keeping the five precepts is not killing, not stealing, not sexual misconduct, not lying and not drinking alcohol. Every day, the Buddhist imbued the Dharma, not forget to spend ten minutes, to spread the heart of compassion to all sentient beings. But the act of creating the highest level of bliss is still after the spread of compassion, the practitioner holds another minute of silence, to meditate on impermanence.Because according to the Sutra Sutra IX. 20 (A. IX. 20) says, "The remembrance of impermanence" even though it only lasts with a "flick of the finger" there are many blessed blessings! (Note: Blessing is a blessing to the product of liberation, The blessing is the blessing that will bring forth good results in future lives. Many times, due to the healing effect, one may fall into the trap of being reincarnated, unable to be freed.
The above teachings of the Buddha to Ananda Paramattha give us a method of practicing from low to high. He will begin with the alms to bring the Buddhist to the level of purity, expand the compassion of all living things. Between the two qualities of generosity and purity of the soul, is the preservation of precepts, a ability to eradicate the evil roots, evil in the soul of man. At the same time through solidity in concentration, the practitioner can prove to be impermanent, in order not to be suffering from suffering, by anything that changes, changes, disappears, there is no. In other words, there are three stages: Giving, Discipline, and Meditation are the three steps that will lead Buddhists to the virtue of liberation, to see that nothing is sustainable, nothing is ours, or It's me. It should be stressed that there is no other miracle except for meditation,
The Buddha's analysis of the types of deserving beneficiaries also appears in another brief discourse. Accordingly, the monotheistic Buddha asked the Buddha:
- How many people are worthy to give credit?
The Buddha replied:
- There are two classes: Those who are walking on the path of pure liberation, and the Arhat or the Buddhas have arrived.
Go back to the problem of pure heart. In the preceding paragraphs, the Buddha gave a full explanation of the two Gautama and the Three Precepts, but the meditation was only introduced by him, not clearly illustrated. specification. The Buddha said to the Apostolic Narrator:
- This monk level! If one's mind is ambitious, all their actions, words, and thoughts will be tarnished! Such a person is caught up in craving, spinning, and at the end of life, they will receive a very dark death, affliction ... As if a house where the core parts are pillars, The thunderstorm and the main walls decayed before a flood.
When the mind is absorbed in ambition and defilement, then only the meditation can be enough to bring purity, to help it, the blessings of good karma created, also not effective! Thus, another time, the Buddha taught the monotheistic doctrine, in front of a crowd of good men and women, to visit him:
- This monk level and Buddhists! You daily devote yourself to the temple, offering four items of food, clothing, accommodation and medicine to monks ... Of course, you are delighted in the blessing. But Tathagata advises you not to be too attached to these blessings! Let your mind go to the meditation, try to concentrate in order to be relaxed (Pìti) in the meditation, especially in the tendency to prefer life quiet, pure. (Pìtim pavivekam means the first bliss that only flashes within a second or two, after a period of diligent practice of jhana.
When hearing the Buddha, Sariputta presided over:
- When the noble disciple of the Buddha attained the comfort of living in the retreat, avoiding the five types of afflictions (hearts) that are present in the mind are:
1. Pain and sorrow of friendship with the base. The roots are the "mind doors" including: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and touch.
2. Satisfaction and joy tied to the grounds.
3. Pain and sadness with what the world thinks bad.
4. Satisfaction and happiness with the world as bad (evil people, happy when successful in the wrong things, the practitioners avoid that situation).
5. Pain and sorrows with what the world thinks are good. "(This means that when Buddhists unintentionally lose the opportunity to do good and then regret it is also a kind. afflictions, can cause pain and sorrow) (Anguttara Nikaya V. 176: Increasing Genus Function V. 176).
On another occasion, due to the presence of Ananda and a group of Buddhists, the Buddha said to Sariputta,
- This Soup! The lay practitioners who keep the five precepts, are careful in their daily actions, they will easily assure themselves in the jhāna, and will show four noble thoughts:
1. I destroyed the road leading to hell.
2. I destroyed the road leading to the animal.
3. I destroyed the road leading to the pit.
4. I have destroyed the path leading to the attenuation or the low birth (destiny is completely unfortunate because it never sees the light of truth). Then they know with certainty and can declare: "They have entered the Holocaust. They no longer degenerate into the eternal suffering and the ultimate deliverance they will attain.
But based on what belief, the virtuous person can keep the five precepts not kill, not stealing, not sexual mischief, not to lie, not drink wine, and can perform four precious ideas just told?
- This Soup! A layman of noble virtue based on the unshakable faith of the Buddha, relying on unshakable faith in the Fa, based on the unshakable faith of the Sangha, based on unshakable faith. transposition of virtue, a solid foundation for liberation, praised by the Saints. Because pure precepts do not make the mind overshadowed, do not make thinking shortcomings so easily affected by subtle evil. Pure law is the beginning of liberation, or the beginning of tranquility and wisdom.
In the three realms of samsara, there is no more happiness than the four precious thoughts mentioned above! And meditation in Buddhism not only helps the practitioner to achieve those goals, but it also helps the paths that purify the soul without any rest. 179: Anguttara Nikàya V. 179).
On another occasion, the Buddha explained the attainment of the Noble Eightfold Path to monotheistic Buddhism, in three different ways. This teaching is only for the Buddha alone. The Buddha said:
- This monk level! When the layperson commits himself to the elimination of the five fears and instills all four factors that lead to the Divine Transcendence, at the same time if the meditator understands and understands his meditation, he or she will know that they have Enter the sacred, not waiting for anyone to confirm! On the contrary, people who commit the five precepts of killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, drinking alcohol, these five sins will bring them five constant fears both in the mind and in the body. , not only in this lifetime, but also in future births.
- This monk level! Besides, the layman virtue, by holding the five precepts is the first way to end the five sins, avoid the four evil paths, by unshakable trust in the three Buddhas, Dharma, Sang is the second way, entering the Divine Fruit and by means of meditation the third way of maintaining the absolute purity so that liberation wisdom arises, the awareness of seeing that the cycle of samsara may be cut off from the place any. (According to the function of the number X. 92: Anguttara Nikàya X. 92).
A story recorded in the Sutra: "One time, monks came to visit Buddha in the morning mist. Feeling too early, instead of going to the temple, he stopped to watch the monastery of Brahman travels nearby. These monks, who knew of the Apostolic Narrative as disciples of the Buddha, asked:
- This is an Aphrodite! Your teacher, Gotama, how learned erotic? "
The Da Refuge Refers to:
- I can not measure the knowledge of the Master.
The Brahmanists asked:
- So what is the level of Buddhist Sangha deep?
The Noble Attendant also happily said:
- I can not afford to discuss the knowledge of the Saints.
But when the Brahmins asked about his own knowledge, the monotheistic monk replied calmly:
- Ladies and gentlemen! My knowledge, I can express easily! Only ask you to be the owner, lecture your knowledge to me first, and I will be the guest, I will present later.
So monotheistic monks heard the Brahmins, praising their prejudices. The first man said, "The human soul is immortal." And the second Taoist: "The soul is not immortal." The Third Man states, "The finite human soul," unlike the fourth Taoist, said: "The human soul is infinite." Then the fifth Taoist decided: "The body and soul are one, indistinguishable! The body is also the soul, but the body is the soul also kill. (Translator's words: This is both materialism and theories). The sixth Taoist said: "The body and soul are two different entities. Only the body can be destroyed, moving, but the soul is not destroyed, not moving.
In addition to these six prejudices, the other two groups of masters point to two opposing prejudices: "First, after death, the soul of the saint becomes eternal in a blissful realm. Second, after closing your eyes, the souls of the escapist will disappear! "
Now, it is Herodotus, who says,
- Any theory of the prejudices that you have just presented, you are thinking, guess, or hear others say. In either case, by reasoning, or by others, such prejudices come from a variety of conditions, which any conditioned theory is only temporal! What is temporary, impermanent, which is the cause of unsatisfactoriness and suffering. Those who think the same will be disappointed, then fall because of unrealistic belief.
After hearing this, the Brahmins asked the monks to express their beliefs. The Absolute Sutra says:
- Everything is temporary nature, impermanent, and brought to the suffering of the brain! Then the suffering of the brain does not belong to anyone but the world. One who insists on impermanence, says, "It is not me, this is me" or "It is not mine, this is mine" etc. They will be Endless misunderstandings, and they will hug their miserable minds.
In order to find a way to defend, the Brahmin paratroopers immediately excuse that:
- The things we have just presented are the great truths, and that belief is never lost in the heart. We only express what we perceive as truth. And more, we also know many solutions to eliminate suffering. When we apply the secret to eradicate suffering, we will not be influenced by opinions etc.
These brahmanists, although outside the mouth trying to disregard such, but in the heart still know embarrassing! In the end, they felt unable to persuade the monasteries, so they all sat ...
Later, the monks are alone visiting the Buddha. He narrated the conversation that the Buddha had once heard, was praised by the Master:
- This monk level! He was right! Tathagata advised him to occasionally guide such mistaken persons, closer to the truth.
Then the Buddha wishes to attain Paranormal, and at the same time teaches a discourse for his alone, to encourage this great layman on the path to reach the holy fruit.
When the monastic monastery was gone, the Buddha narrated the matter and declared to the Sangha:
Even a bhikkhu who has lived in the Church for a hundred years may not be sufficiently imbued with the teachings so that he can respond to such Brahmins correctly. (According to the coefficient X. 93: AX 93).
Finally, two more can be told, before moving on to Chapter VI. That is, twice the monks' nuns lay on their sick beds, asking the Buddha to allow a monk to come to the sermon to "relay" him. Because of the monks who are the great benefactors of the Sangha, they were sent by the Buddha to preach the Dhamma as the two apostles.
In the first place, Venerable Ananda came to kindly say to the Apostolic Sangha:
- Anathapindika! An inept mind in mindfulness of fear of death, and fear of what to receive in the next life. Reasons because they lack four kinds of noble beliefs are: Trust in the Buddha, believe in the Fa, believe in the Sangha, and believe in morality is the life page in the cycle of reincarnation.
"But this level of anthropology! The leader is an unshakable faith in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the monk. The virtue is pure virtue, the direct result of liberation is not far away. Especially the present, the faith has been enlightened. (According to Samyutta Nikaya 55.27: Journey A Function 55.27).
Second, Sariputra came to the side of the sick monk, analyzing that:
- Anathapindika! For those who live by desire, the spirit is not trained, not pure, then hell is where they will see.
But this Classical Aunt! The leader is the one who has the Three Jewels in his heart. Adherents know the pure world, do not let the evil charismatic. If now the organic thought to think the gift of the Buddha, Dharma, Sang, and meditate on the moral, body, speech, of his perfect, the sick body of the friend will be reduced, due to meditation so
Besides, this Classical Aunt! Do not forget that the righteous are the righteous, righteous, righteous, righteous, righteous, righteous, mindful and righteous. The life of the righteous according to the Noble Eightfold Path, the absolute liberating wisdom will arise. Dignity is the step that has entered the sacred, there are ten noble virtues, the spiritual direction towards the goal of Nirvana, through the meditation, the body of the dharma will disappear. Especially when the virtue of strengthening the security, remembering the property is the good deeds of a great protector of Buddhism. This is the fastest and most effective way to treat affliction and afflictions.
Elder Sariputta concentrates on the mind to speak French. When the word "most" has just ended, it has ceased to exist. He sat up, left the sick bed, handed his lunch offering to Professor Salafat. Later, he discussed with Sariputta Buddha about Buddhism for a long time, as a healthy person.
So, before returning to Ky Vien Pagoda, Elder Sariputta still immersed in the verses, give the following monks:
"Whoever believes in the Buddha,
French and German
Remember to be honest
Have a good life.
Who believes in them
Right understanding and good
Poor can not touch
Your life is immeasurable!
Who believes in the Three Jewels
On morality, focus
Meditation meditation
The Buddha's teachings are not wrong!
The mind develops
Faith, precepts, precepts always
The saint always friendly
Buddha also praised extremely.
(According to Samyutta Nikaya 55. 26: A Journey No. 55. 26 - N. E. Translated into the syllabic).
In the eighteen doctrines of the Noble Eightfold Path, recorded in the Tibetan Sutra, there are fourteen articles by the Buddha according to the charm of self-talk. A Buddhist lecture given by the Atonement Monk asked the question. Another post of the Buddha after listening to the Sangha talks with the Brahmins. And finally, the two sermons by Ananda Devi and Sariputta came to the side of the monk's sickbed to remind them.
Eighteen of these teachings show that in the Buddhist treasure, there must be an important part, reserved for lay people or lay Buddhists, when they want to attain sainthood, without living in the Church!
*** THE END OF SPACE ***
The great monks of the Three Noble Truths are extremely sick. Pain and body posture have been a major barrier to mental concentration. Once again, monasteries invite two great apostles of the Buddha, Ananda and Sariputta, to the bedside to intercede.
When Sariputra saw the pale color of the monasteries, he knew that he was going to die. The old man said:
- This monk level! Take the practice of liberation by decisively letting go of attachment to the six sense bases: sight, atrium, base, root, bodily roots and mind! You should be indifferent, objectively looking at the six grounds, see it as the six causes that have long made you suffer. Secondly, the dharmas need to liberate themselves by separating the mind from the moment of emptiness, silence, incense, taste, contact and worldly dharma.Do not let the euphoria of the righteous (ie, consciousness, consciousness, consciousness, consciousness, consciousness, and consciousness) follow them! Thus, the six "causes of suffering", otherwise known as the "five aggregates" (aggregates, aggregates, aggregates, aggregates, and aggregates) form a human, will not cooperate. with "the four great" (earth, water, wind, fire: land, water, wind, fire) to suffering through the sight, hearing, smelling, tasting,
At that time, he was also present at the bedside. The attainment of the Noble Eightfold Path attains the attainment of the Noble Truth. He tried to correct the mind according to the reminder of the professor ...
Suddenly a few drops of tears in the eyes of the patient, monk Ananda Devote turned back to see so, moving compassion said:
- Anathapindika! God should keep calm, calm!
But the weakened monk replied weakly, "Oh! Venerable Ananda Da! I can not keep my mind calm! I was so happy and touched that since I have lived with the Church and the Teacher ever since, I have never heard such a profound, magical teaching.
Immediately Sariputta deconstructed:
- Anathapindika! The deep secret, the Buddha only theory for the subject Said renunciation. For laypeople, it is too abstract, confusing. But this time, the Buddha has instructed the repetition to repeat the hearing, because the soul of the soul is now the same as the soul of an insatiable.
The monks immediately began to sing:
- Sultan Sae Loi Phat! From now on, this monotheistic Buddhist monk asked the holy monks and the Buddha to give the lay disciples such miraculous powers. Because, although lay life, but also many degrees of virtue, dhamma has glowed, only bare little dust. If they are fortunate enough to hear such wonderful teachings, they will surely be liberated, lest they should continue to wait for the grace of renunciation. .
Here, the dharma is directly addressing the practical problems, and the ultimate end of liberation, not a theory that helps the listener understand a Buddhist aspect. In other words, the Elder Sariputta has pointed to the Theravāda Path of Practice, for he has attained enlightenment. He is like a gardener has a glass in his hand. You just need to know how to look at the glass, to recognize the poison that is spit out, then cultivate the good flowers, to be peaceful. And the garden is the soul of man.
Suffering is a low-level saint, whose awareness is manifested. Stupa relieves the need to show him the empty and temporary nature of the five aggregates clinging to each other and destroys one another, so that he recognizes the impermanence, sorrow, and non-self himself. .
Besides, even though it is a practical method, the listener can still be divided into two categories: the first type hears to meditate. This kind of benefit is only five-tenths. The second kind of imbued with Buddhism, listening to instant practice, liberation is a sure thing! Ordinary lay Buddhists are of the first type. And the second category of Pure Mathematics. But in this case, monks are in the second category!
For Buddhists in elementary school, knowing the constant change of things is only a knowledge. But for those who are pure Buddhist, that knowledge is a way to eliminate afflictions arising from life, death fear!
If we observe, follow the teachings of Sariputta, lead one step at a time, bringing the spirituality of the Sangha to the liberation of Nirvana, then we will see that the Sangha Ancestor, never before heard a core dharma, described in such a way of life!
At the moment of death, the Satori Sutra, through this intercessory process, has separated itself from the spiritual, from the worldly attachments, especially from the attachment of the body (referring to life), and then to tranquility. In mindfulness, he is truly a happy fellow of happiness. Many sa disciple of Buddha is not sure match!
It can be said that this is a rare case of a layman happy to hear an unparalleled professor presented a most liberating solution!
As Såriputta and Venerable Ananda ended the final reminder, monotheistic Buddhahood completely remained in concentration. Then he died, reborn in the Tusita heaven, where the monastic spirit is seen again "youngest daughter" is a fairy girl.
But what is commendable and admirable to the great benefactor of Buddhism here is that after joining the heavenly beings, "he" was the most enthusiastic guardian of the Three Jewels. According to the scriptures, Ky Vien Pagoda, after the Cremation Ceremony, has many nights to be visited by the heavenly people. Bright light. The leading of the angels is, of course, the parable of the Satori.
One day the guardian angel came to pay homage to the Buddha, also offered by the verse that:
"The Buddha,
The temple, Increase them a color house does not.
Dharma realms,
There is no happiness in the future.
Have you ever had the form?
Which body, speech, net ablative tu tu.
Household security,
Help life, not blind blind eye.
How to know yourself,
In the Dhamma, accidentally dream.
Forged by virtue,
Siddhartha, now thanks to heaven.
Follow the example of "relics" sage (*)
Pure meditation, mindfulness, optimism filter in.
This subject is unparalleled,
The Buddha is a Buddhist sow.
"Relics" refers to Sariputta, who took over the monasteries before dying.
And with this shelf, we end the story of Anathapindika, an incomparable guardian, when the Buddha was alive! END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.5/7/2018.
