Vinaya is the life force of the Sangha.

)

In order to protect the purity and harmony of the Sangha and to preserve the bhikkhu without harming at the same time, to avoid the derision of the lay people, to avoid losing the Three Jewels of the credit, the Buddha declared set the rules.

Discipline has the ability to eliminate karma, karma in the path of birth and death. Not only enjoy the future blessing, but in the present life, if we obey the strict law, life will be happy, the mind is always calm.

I have stated five benefits of preserving precepts as follows:

1. The virtuous person will enjoy the wealth of the economy by virtue of diligence.

2. People of good faith have a good reputation.

3. Precious people do not fear shy when coming to crowded congregations.

4. People who have virtue of death do not disturb the mind.

5. People have virtue after the network was born about the beast, heaven.

The Buddha set the precept not only purpose is to perfect the pure Bodhi and the solemn harmony of the Sangha.

Vinaya is the life force of the Sangha
Law Ma Ha Tang States, vol. 1, Buddha's relics: "There are 10 benefits to the Buddha Tathagatism because the disciple of the regime ...

Ten benefits are:

1. Because of the increase in their clothing.

2. For the purpose of radically improving the Sangha.

3. Want to give them peace.

4. For the people who do not know shame.

5. To let those who are ashamed stay calm.

6. For the unbelievers to trust them.

7. To let the believers gain more confidence.

8. Because of want to end all illegal or illegal in the present.

9. Because letting the gonorrhea or unborn can not arise.

10. As long as the law is long-term.

Therefore, for the monk, the rule is necessary to achieve a pure bhikkhu and Sangha development. In other words, the Vinaya is the life force of the Sangha, and is the guide for the Sangha.

The Sangha is a monastic society of pure harmony, one of the three treasures that express the existence of Buddhism, the direct replacement of the Buddha praised the Dharma to benefit the birth. Thus, when in the Sangha they are beginning to have an intersection, the pure celestial body is no longer completely, then the Buddha new regime to stop the conception of the smuggled.

In the spirit of "depending on the rules," Buddhist precepts are mainly based on the volunteer of the practitioner without any dogmatic nature, coercion. The practitioners will voluntarily obey the Dharma strictly to fulfill the purity of the bodhisattva and to build the exemplary Sangha. Each practitioner himself, depending on the law to filter the body, excluding all illegal or, prevent negative kamma. As a result, the mind and body are pushed, the virtue is growing, life is not tainted. One obeyed, many obeyed, and then individually incorporated into a pure dignified collective. This is the difference of the Buddhist Sangha with the organization of other congregations.

However, the element that creates the pure harmony of the disciples of the Buddha is still the principle of strict discipline. Because precepts are the basic foundation for preserving and protecting the physical body of a bhikkhu. A bhikkhu without the precepts certainly can not exist in the Sangha.

Sutra III, the Buddha said: "... The sea never contains corpses. Likewise, if bhikkhu does not keep the pure life, the Sangha will not live with him, so quickly gather the kind of person. Even if he sits in the middle of the Sangha, they are far from the Sangha, and the Sangha can not protect him. "

However, in today's society, due to the dominance of the surrounding environment, we lack the good environment to nourish the virtuous life and preserve it. Monks and nuns have too little protection from the Sangha. But in spite of this, each of them is still the essential decision for the success of his or her own life. So, for monks, obeying the rules is very necessary. Necessary for myself and necessary for Sangha.

Let us think, if there is no precept, then each one will act in every way, say each way, how to build an exemplary Sangha to spread the teachings and reach the position of the supernatural. And if they do not follow the precepts, they will never live in harmony like water and milk. When the harmony of the Sangha is weak, the worthiness of the collective is no longer, and sooner or later the organization will be disintegrated.

Thus, the Buddha's teachings require the effort of the individual. Each individual's moral well-being is dignified. Bikkhu or bhikkhuni live as French, as the Law will be the source of boundless power for the growth of the Sangha. And once the Sangha has truly purified itself, no power can overwhelm or sabotage it. Dhamma is the result of which the stronger and shine. Life around is also affected by that.

"About as bright lights
Illuminate dark night
About as bright mirror
Clear all the law.
(Brahma Sutra)

It is said that, before entering Nirvana, the Buddha was kindly instructed: "Bhikshu, after the death of the Buddha, the teacher must cherish, respect the pure world, as the dark man that is Eyes are bright, poor but that is gold. Pure knowledge is the master of the teacher. If Tathagata exists in life, then it is not pure net.

Therefore, as the Buddha disciples that disregard the law will bring great sin against the Three Jewels. We must remember that, because of the practical benefits to the practice and the strength of the Sangha, the Buddha had graciously imparted the Dharma. These precepts, 250 precepts for Bishops, 348 for the bhikkhuni, passed five months, still exist today. If we do not consciously respect the preservation, it is different how we destroy the fold!

If we are indifferent to the loving teachings of the Buddhas, the Patriarchs, the elders are considered to have turned away from their ambition. We do not diligently cultivate the virtue that has contributed to the Dharma. As in the Diaspora, the Buddha said: "All the pagans are no one can destroy my teachings, only my disciples to make my teachings destroyed." Only in lion's body can lion be eaten.

Therefore, as a disciple of the Buddha, we must always be mindful of preserving the precepts as our own breath. Revered chastity rules because "The rules are the circuit of Buddhism. The law is also the law of Buddhism, the law is lost Buddhist law. The fate of Buddhism is entirely dependent on the survival of the precepts. The precepts have long existed to flourish for the Sangha, as a clue to Buddhism and to benefit the world is not due to the disciples themselves, especially those who are considered " As the Lai Lai, the Tathagata "have the strict discipline or not? END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.8/4/2018.
