How can a wise man ...,

- Well, how can we distinguish a friend or our enemy?

- Sir, ancient wise people have thought about this issue and asked the wise, and then follow their advice to find the truth, away from the sheep and pay attention to You are good

One day, the king of Brahmadatta reigns in Ba la, Bodhisattva is the deity advised him about the world as well as the saint.
At that time, the court officials slandered a legitimate officer. The King saw that he did not have any trouble asking the Superiors:
- Hey, how can we distinguish you and the enemy?
Then he recited the first verse:
1. How do people need to know,
distinguish how to be true,
What do eyes and ears show
that he is the lamb?
At that time, the master recited this rhyme to explain the signs of an enemy:
2. When he visited, he was not smiling, he did
not show welcome. He did
not look that way,
and answered Not with you.
Your enemy, it honors,
Your
goodness , it despises, It obstructs people praise you good,
The libel, it's welcome.
4. It's not funny,
It's revealed
, It does not do good,
It does not praise your wisdom.
When he is happy it is not happy,
he humiliated him, it satisfied,
If it is delicious,
Do not think of your name, in the sorrow without grief,
nor shout out: this you,
I wish you a part!
6. The sixteen things, the obvious cause
Show him a sheep,
If the wise have heard,
Will know the enemy to get foot.
7. How do the wise ardent
Distinguishing how made legs,
the eyes and ears work yet found
Be the body with him?

8. He remembers people in the distance,
happy when you return home,
In the joy of the high,
He speaks welcome dozen.
9. He does not honor his opponents,
only favor his friends,
Those who defame, he prevents,
Who praises him, is happy again.
10. He told many confidences with him, His
talk he did not expose,
High level of what he did.
Praise your talents.
He was heartbroken when you complained
He was happy to hear you are safe
If he was anything good,
he thought to his best friend , He loved him,
he cried:
I wish you were saved!
12. The sixteen things that prove,
Clearly identify you friendly,
If any wise hear,
Can say you right up.
The king was happy to hear the preacher's speech, so he gave him the ultimate glory.
