Dependent Origination and No-Self
(Paticcasamuppada and Anatta)
Dependent Origination is the doctrine from which the Buddha Enlightened Supreme Bodhi. From then on, the Blessed One was blessed with ten Tathagata marks. There is no historical record, nor is there any other version of the sutra on the content of that realization of the Buddha.
12th, 16th, 2nd, 85a, Udàna Buddhist Scriptures, (Ministry of Economy I, translated by Minh Chau 1982), Kinh Dai Nien ( School of the Three Sutras and the Sutra of the Three Sutras (Suttasaka III) are the disciplines of the doctrine of Dependent Origination.
According to the Compassionate Sutra of the Buddha, Vipassi, the six Blessed One following the Blessed One in the past, the Blessed One. And all the Sun in the future have realized the Bodhi Supreme from the doctrine of Dependent Origination.
Why enlightenment is the ultimate enlightenment? - If you do not want to say "The atrium is like" (the French is so), the simplest answer is that Dependent Origination speaks to the essence of dhammas. That essence is dependent bias or unconsciousness. Middle East Business I, No. 28; Similar III, p. 144 and the Ministry of I, p. 48, says the Buddha: "One who sees the Dependent Origination is seeing the Fa, who sees the Fa is seeing the Buddha." Seeing Buddha is the ultimate enlightenment.
If we go to catechesis analysis, from the doctrine of Dependent Origination we see clearly the selflessness of dhammas. Anatta is the most unique Buddhist teaching, the most unique of the history of religion and the thought of humanity, which is the basis of the teachings of Tibet and the Tripitaka.
In the midst of the sixty-two Indian doctrines of self-falling and falling, in the midst of human clinging and fallenness, sinking deeply into the cycle of birth and death, the voice of insubstantial birth is the voice of enlightenment. , Release suffering.
What is Dependent Origination? The Blessed One defines: "Due to ignorance, there is life, by virtue, with consciousness, by consciousness, by rupa, by virtue, by virtue. By birth, by birth, by gravity, by gravity, by gravity, by gravity, by gravity, by nature, by possession, by birth, by birth, by aging, sorrow, sadness, suffering, suffering, brain, or The entire Aggregate of Suffering is called Dependent Origination. " (Sisterhood II, p. 1-2).
Because of the cessation of craving, ignorance completely, the killing action, the killing action should kill ... ... aging, sorrow, sadness, suffering, good, brain kill. O monks, so is the passage. " (Ibid. 1-2)
When the twelve causation arises, it is synonymous with the total suffering of the aggregates. When the twelve karmas of karmas or karmas are called the twelve karmas of cessation, they are synonymous with the total suffering of the aggregates. All that is called Dependent Origination, the truth about the presence of dharmas, has been confirmed by the Buddha: "That Dependent Origination, whether Tathagata appears or does not appear, The law determines the nature, the coast of the nature as Lai complete realization, attain the theorem. After complete enlightenment, attainment, Tathagata declared, proclaimed, developed, disclosed, distinguished , Proving, showing. " He taught: "Ignorance ignorance, these monks, there are onions, etc. .. Thus, the monks, here is like the character, irreplaceable nature, such as nature, Monks, this is called Dependent Origination. " (Ibid., P. 31).
On the four nouns that are said of the Condition of Dependent Origination, they are explained as follows: This condition of staying as one, without birth, old, dead, etc., which does not have dependent origination (paccaya). Due to the grace, there are dhammas which arise, so they are called dhammatthitata. The coast conditions or orders to stay, so called legal determination. The conditions of birth and so on are special conditions called beauty. What are the conditions of biological life (or conditional)?
- "Called the conditions of biology are the dhammas are created, the property, the transformation, the disintegration, the destruction, the impermanent." The principle of Dependent Origination is summarized by the Buddha:
Because of this, the other is present.
- Since this is not present, the other is not present.
Because of this, the birth of the other.
Because of this, kill the other.
In the Great Seal of the Three Kingdoms, when Sun Ananda praised the doctrine of Dependent Origination, the Blessed One further emphasized: "Behold, Ananda, precisely because not enlightened, did not understand the doctrine of Dependent Origination This being that the present is disturbed like a cocoon, tangled like a thread, like munja and babaja reed, can not get out of suffering, the beast, death, birth and death. (P.56)
To better understand Dependent Origination, we need to go into the meaning of each of the Twelve Precepts, and go on to some of the issues that arise with Dependent Origination.
- Aging and death (Jaramarana): "What of the beings were old, weak, weakness, tooth loss, gray hair, wrinkles, big life, the base is called ripe old age. What belongs Beings are abandoned, destroyed, lost, ruined, disposed of body, death is called death. " (Ibid., P. 3).
- Birth (Jàti): "What kind of beings are born, birth, birth, birth, appearance of aggregates, achievements of the birth is called. (Ex. II, p. 3).
- Friends (Bhava): "Education organic, organic and formless identity exists, called organic." (Ex. II, p. 3).
- Player (Upàdàna): "There are four players: the player, the player, the goalkeeper and the goalkeeper." (Ibid, p. 3).
- Love (Tanhà): "Love, love, compassion, compassion, Charity;
- Venada: "There are six life, life due to the label of life, life by ..., and life by the mind. born. "(Ibid, p. 3).
- promotion (Phassa):" There are six contact, eye contact, ear contact, reducing exposure, loss of contact, body contact and the contact. "(Ibid, p. 3).
- Six origin (chabbithàna): "Consists of six local (label, ear, nose, body, body and mind) and six foreign (color, bar, incense, taste and contact). . 4).
- Mentality (nama-rupa): "the list includes contact, attention, feeling, perception and investment (where present list includes sensation, perception, and consciousness). Sutra is the Four Great Elements and the Four Noble Truths . "(Ibid, p.4)
- Consciousness (Vinanàna):" Consciousness, consciousness, equanimity, consciousness, body consciousness and consciousness. " , Tr. 4).
- Sankhara (Sankhara): "Consists of body, mouth and mind."
" Ignorance (Avijja):" The Four Noble Truths are called ignorance (cf. Verse II, p.4).
When the Blessed One spoke about Dependent Origination, Moliya Phagguna asked, "Who, who is emotion? The Sun teaches: "Tathagata teaches only touch, feeling, love, do not teach people to touch, feeling ..., so these questions do not match the theorem of Dependent Origination. Cause of Dependent Origination must be: By what conditions, birth, life ... etc ... ask the Exalted that: "Is it hard to do, or made by others? Or suffering due to natural birth? " The Exalted One taught the Middle Way: "Suffering is due to birth.
Similarly, for eleven other factors, the rest are conditioned. Whatever is conditioned, it is conditioned, impermanent, destructive, mutilated, not real.
One day, the Blessed One explained to Kaccayana (verse II, page 20) that whoever does not cling does not think that this is my self, and when suffering is born, when suffering To kill is to kill, not to see me suffering, or I am suffering.
From the twelve parts of conditions of Dependent Origination as presented, we can come to some conclusions:
1. All conditioned things are conditioned. The presence of a dharma is merely the presence of the arising of it; The cessation of a dharma is just the cessation of its arising. Dhammas are not real or true.
Continuing to argue like that with all the charms, without stopping at all, one will find that there is no self-appearing shadow in this state of Dependent Origination. In short, all conditioned beings are selfless.
Dependent Origination speaks of the truth of selflessness and self-denial, denying all questions and answers about the nature of dharmas, the first cause of the universe.
2. Each of the twelve parts of the causal relationship is the presence of the other eleven parts. The complete extermination of a part also means the destruction of all 12 parts of the coast. Ignorance, action, awakening, etc. can not be alone, so when the desire to kill or kill or kill ... then ignorance completely eliminated.
3. When craving, ignorance, or ignorance exist or arise, the whole aggregate of consciousness is set. This path is called samsara, called the path.
When craving, clinging, or ignorance eradicate, the entire suffering aggregates are destroyed. The path of destruction is the right path.
4. Dependent Origination, in reality, is a coincidence phenomenon. A presence means that all of these conditions are present, all the dharmas are present. In other words, there can not be any self that is present except the method of Dependent Origination.
A starting practice is the legal starting. This is the meaning of "One is all, all one." One here, that is all, the dharmas.
All is one and is the legal world. One is all that is meant to be dependent and non-self.
Because of causation, not-self, which is not born, is not eliminated, it does not have the meaning of ordinary or impermanent, whether or not it exists, past or future, etc. .. it escaped all generals.
The so-called consciousness, materialism, consciousness, spirituality, etc., do not have any meaning at all, if they are seen as conditioned, not self.
With Dependent Origination, therefore, all doctrines are unsuitable if they are constructed on the basis of selfishness; All will be appropriate if they are built on the basis of selflessness.
Metaphysical problems that deal with the origin and self of beings are seen as an argument for the doctrine of dependent origination.
6. The object of hearing the doctrine of dependent origination is man. This object is entangled in ignorance, craving, retaliation, for the sake of liberation, the Buddha presented Dependent Origination in the form of twelve parts of conditions.
Partial entry (6 and 6 ceilings) clearly indicates that the object is human (all kinds of births are not sufficiently logged, some species of the same sky, some places where consciousness and consciousness are not active Movement should not be related to the incense ceiling and ceiling).
With the presence of craving or grasping, the factors of dependent origination are seen as conditioned (impermanence, cessation); For those who are right here in this world, who kill and kill, the dharmas are non-suffering, the middle path, are unconditioned, as the Buddha himself defines the Buddha's view: "When I am pure, Pure world ". Nagarjuna's opening verse also speaks to that meaning:
"Any birth heron immortal,
Extraordinary heron estate segment,
Real least allergic heron estate,
Real estate heron hybrid past,
Energy Marketing causal theory,
Compassion kill Zhu Xi said."
Here shows that reality is dependent origination, not self. This is the truth, such as France, is true nature, undesirable nature, as the policy of Hoa Nghiem through the teachings of the "Fa-kingdom of co-dependent origination." There is not a low height between the Dependent Origination that the Blessed One enlightenment presents under the twelve parts of the predestined relationship and the Dependent Origination of Huayen.
Talking about reality in the real world, the Blessed One teaches: "Monks, there is this land, there is no land, no water, no fire, no wind, no Zero without boundaries, no There is no boundless land, no possessed land, no non-idealism, no life, no future, no moon, no sun, therefore, bhikkhus, I declare that there is no going, no going, no staying, no extinction, no birth, no residing, no transfer, no predestination, this is the cessation of suffering. (The Buddhist Scriptures, The Ministry of Economy I, translated by Thich Minh Chau, 1982, p. 381), and:
There are monks, there is no birth, no existence, no action, no being. Here it is impossible to express the divine from birth, from being, from being conditioned, from being. That is, bhikkhus there is one that is non-existent, There should be an exodus from birth, from being, from being done, from being. " (Little Business I, op. Cit., P. 382).
The fact that the Enlightened One says that nothingness is the life itself. On a pure morning, Subhuti Totally recognized the opening of the CCP's mind of Kim Cang through meditation, almsgiving, almsgiving into almsgiving, etc. The Diamond Cup, the opening) and praised the Honored One: "Charitable mind, good deputy bodhisattva god."
The French verse 279 states: "All dhammas are not self" (Sabbe dhammā anattà). That means that being and non-being are not self, nor are beings immeasurable in the face of the self, or in the true plane of Dependent Origination. This is the meaning that Kim Cang Kim said: "The most common method of Buddhism"; Huayan said: "All the Dharmas of the Buddhadharma" and the ideas of the Tibetans often mentioned: "defilements Bodhi news", or "birth of Nirvana," or " dirty".
Here, we can stabilize the conclusion that Dependent Origination is the most fundamental tenet of Buddhism . Whatever Dependent Origination is viewed under the view of the sect, whether expressed in the general sense "This one has, the other has ..." or under the twelve parts of its causation it still carries the full meaning Most profound. To say that Dependent Origination is the doctrine of the Pratyekushara or Hinayana is only a mortal or a miserable misperception.
7. It is impossible to see Dependent Origination, Anatta as the doctrine that the Exalted means to repress self, the suffering cause. True suffering is due to ignorance, do not understand the interdependence, non-self of the dharma. Exhaustion of suffering is synonymous with enlightenment.
8. Talking to the coaster, Japanese scholar Kimura Taiken in his book "The Great Buddhist Buddhist Thought (translated by Thich Quang Do, Van Hanh, 1969), says:
"The problem of dependent origination can, however, be described in many ways, but its origin is not beyond the mind, if leaving the mind, then the conditioned cause will be groundless, so to speak, Thus, the so-called dharmakaya, which is ultimately conditioned, is not beyond our transformed mental state, which is the sole basis of Buddhism, the Hinayana and the Mahayana. Mind has become a decisive guideline in Buddhism, so when it comes to Dependent Origination, of course, we have to mention Mind, because there is a very close relationship between the two, and if we want to. Understand the basic idea of Buddhism, we can not forget that important point. " (P. 28).
The study of Buddhist thought through the Kimura Taiken sects is a valuable work, but by this passage on the interdependent origination of the author, we feel immediately something is wrong in that, Conditioned.
The author considers the mind as the root of the arising, while the real mind is the conditioned mind, the dependent. Even from the origin , in itself it is not suitable for interdependent origination. Mind in Buddhism (or that is feeling, perception, volition and form) is impermanent, it is more unmanifested than matter. It is also dependent, not self.
Tu, the subdued Mind, is going to liberation and liberation: here, non-material non-object, it is like legs, not self.
9. The biggest question about the doctrine of Dependent Origination, the selflessness of a Buddhist teacher is that it is difficult to conceive of a completely selfless self. How can exist, if not self? Who is born, samsara? Who here? Who witnessed ... as the very question of Moliya Phagguna, Kassapa and Timbura (as mentioned), as concerns of Kimura Taiken (must have the mind is rooted, then the Dependent Dependent) Nan, in the Shurangama, was shocked when the Buddha taught the mind is not self.
The root of the question is the craving, the attachment of beings because many lives fall in life.
According to Buddhism, the root of samsara is ignorance. Ignorance is the realization of reality that does not have "fall" into "fall". Birth is a misconception that there is a "fall". Actually, there is no "fall" in samsara, samsara.
Here is the route from samsara, samsara; It means to get out of the fettering bondage of self-attachment, the exception to that self. Except that self-attachment is the subtraction of all delusions.
Enlightenment, or enlightenment, is the complete abolition of clinging to self, self accepting self, to attain reality without self .
So, the question: Who cultivates? Who evidence? Etc ... are questions that are full of thoughts, contrary to the princivrrrrrrrrhita as the Buddha taught.
10. The non-self reality is not empty. Only the world under the Prime Minister is empty. It is not because of the self that the world exists, but really because of selflessness, the new world has arisen and exists. We try to observe the following phenomenon:
- Because carbon (C) and iron (Fe) are anhydrous, new compounds of iron and steel. Because hydrogen and oxygen, etc., are not self-contained, they only have the synthesis of water, and they have chemical reactions.
- Because nowhere is selfless, so it is dark, sunny, rainy, with four seasons of operation. If there is no self, only dark or light, etc.
- If a person is selfish, he will either be ignorant, or unwell, or strong, or ill, which can not be converted from ignorance to disease, from illness to illness, from sadness to joy, from despair to hope, From hatred to love ...
- Because social phenomena are not selfless, they can be transformed and revived.
- Because things and perceptions are selfless, there is creation, the root of culture and civilization.
Because of non-self, there is the phenomenon of divine beings: there are thousands of devas have giant bodies at the tip of the needle without interference.
- Because non-self, so the legal capacity to bear each other, new the reason and the fearless, etc.
In short, because of selflessness, the counts are established.
11. When the selflessness of the dharmas is discerned, craving and clinging will dissipate to destruction, suffering will go away, and liberation will come. Now the reality of the arising of life comes back to itself. It is like, forever like that. The Lotus Sutra calls this the "permanent resident world". It is not causal or causal. Causation and dependent arising is itself. This is the emptiness of the Noble Eightfold Path of the Lotus, as well as the "Marvelous" nature of Huayan, Nirvana.
12. Whether Dependent Origination is understood in any sense of the sect, Nirvana (or complete liberation) is synonymous with loving, killing, extinguishing or ignorance. This is the last liberation, called Tamil-tam-tam-Bodhi-Bodhi (Bodhisattva). Perhaps this is the reason that the Buddha presented Dependent Origination in the form of twelve parts of conditions. And this is also the meaning that this writer chooses the twelve causal factors that are the stable form of Dependent Origination to examine, in order to ward off the possible embarrassment, into a number of different modes of Dependent Origination.
