The Buddha did not want us to go the double route. One side is craving, sunk, and the other is fear, jealous. He teaches us to be alert to all pleasures. Anger, fear, discontent are not the path of the student. That is the way of the secular. A calm person walks on the Middle Way, throws craving to the left, and dreads fear, jealousy to the right. Those who want to practice, follow the Middle Way: they are not inclined to pleasure or suffering but to put them down. But of course, it was a bit difficult at first. We are kicked to the side: to the left, to the right as a clock swing.
When the Buddha preached the first sermon, he mentioned two extremes, for it was the dwelling place of craving. Sexuality, happiness kicking to this side, suffering and unsatisfactoriness rock to the other. Both are always disturbing and distressing. But when walking on the Middle Way, you put both down.
If you follow these two extremes, you will lose all tolerance and will be thrown out when your attachment or anger is attractive. How long have you been trapped? Take a look: If you like something, you will follow them when love arises and of course it only entices you to find the pain. Kindness is wise and clever. Where will it take you?
The Buddha taught us to throw away all extremes. That is the path of true practice, leading to the place of birth and death. There is no grief and misery on this road, no good and evil, good and bad. Alas! Man is full of craving, seeking only for trouble, not going on the path of the Great Enlightener, the path for the seeker of truth. Attachment to happiness and suffering, good and bad can not go on the Middle Way, can not become a mind, can not be liberated.
Our path is straight, calm and mindful; Whether sorrow or excitement arises, it is still calm. If your mind is like that, you do not need anyone to guide.
You will find that, when the mind is not attached, it will be in a normal state. When it is stirred up by thought and feeling, the process of making thought occurs and hallucinations form. Learn how to look at this process. When the mind is agitated, it is no longer in its normal state, it goes out of proper practice to reach one of the poles of passion and jealousy, which in turn creates more illusions. More thought. If you continue to watch the mind, all your life just do it, I guarantee you never get bored.END=NAM MO CAKYA MOUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGHTENMENT.VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.7/5/2017.
