Today we'll find yourself relying on the teachings of the Buddha. Buddha teaches us to rely on ourselves because we are the good ones and create bad karma, and are reaping the results themselves happy or miserable corresponds to what we have done.
Mechanisms create good karma, bad, happiness and sorrow, heaven and hell are in our minds. Mind is the key innovator. So Buddha concluded that master mind, leading the French. Mind who perform just as well as those received by their own actions do. Mind is the master ordered his servant, body talk and act.
There are three types of actions or karma is bodily, verbal and reviews now. When we create wholesome, happy, evolution and heaven will be the result followed. However when we deeds, suffering, anxiety, anguish and degradation will be the result followed. After death, our minds will be reborn into one of four deprivation (apayabhumi) like hell. So Buddha always advised us to rely on ourselves. We should not wait for someone to create happiness and prosperity, or heaven or Nip-table for us. We must ourselves karma.
Prayer before the image of Buddha or invite monks to pray blessings and prosperity success is not the Buddha Dhamma because he can only point out the path to joy, happiness and prosperity and the path to misery and degradation. His teachings can be summarized as follows: Avoid evil, do good and keep in mind always clean.
Karma, or merit, such as charity is like putting money in a bank. The more we deposit the money as much as we will be accumulating disorders. Interest income also increased and soon we will become rich. Conversely, if we create negative karma, it's like we borrow money from banks, we must return both principal and interest owed. The loan may become a burden for us. The debtor is always in anxiety, restlessness, unlike those who have deposits in banks, these people are always smiling because their money is always growing.
Karma is similar, it gives us joy, makes us feel happy and satisfied. But when we create unwholesome, our mind is like going up in flames. We become anxious and insecure. We all can see this because maybe it's happening in our immediate attention, in this moment, no need to wait until the afterlife. So if we want to be happy and prosperous, and do not want to be sleeping suffer, we should only create good karma and avoid unwholesome.
Buddha taught us how to create a merit ten or karma:
- Dana: widely released, giving and offerings. Specifically, one in four secondary offerings to the four requisites to the Sangha. Give without expecting a refund from the recipient.
- Sila: Morality, to preserve the purity of the moral ethics and preventing an individual not deviate from the path of the Noble Eightfold Path. Personal morality is also helping to restrain the evil deed.
- Bhavana: cultivate and develop spirituality, meditation
- Merits for deceased relatives
- Rejoice merit: rejoice with merit or good karma from others
- Serving others
- Humble
- Right view
- Listen measures
- Teaching Dhamma
What we are doing today is called dana, or generosity. After we gave up something good and valuable example of money, we feel satisfied that we have overcome selfishness, greed and stinginess of us. If we only think we mean that we greedy and selfish, we feel desire and lust. By giving, we can overcome the greed and self makes us happy and satisfied.
Morality is to avoid harming others through words or actions, such as killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying and drinking intoxicants, these things can hurt us and others. Precept help us eliminate the tension, restlessness, anxiety arising from the misconduct. When we lie, cheat or steal, we worried about being caught and punished.
Meditation helps purify the negativity or Kisela like lust, greed, anger and delusion from our mind. The negativity makes us sorrow and suffering. Meditation is like washing clothes. To meditate to achieve good results, let us follow the example of the Buddha and his noble disciples, we need concentration (samadhi) and wisdom (panna) like we need water and detergent for washing clothes.
By developing concentration and wisdom, the Buddha finally achieve enlightenment and then become a Buddha, who was himself discovered the path to liberation - France - for themselves after a long time has been that long forgotten. He also became an Arhat, Career clean and pure and worthy offerings, ones whose mind was freed from the defilement (Kisela), steps have eliminated all 10 fetters (10 strings) tie our minds with round samsara, for whom his heart was no longer bound by the cankers (asava), and will forever rank no rebirth. With the Liberation, the Buddha also recognized the extreme happiness, happiness remarkable things in this world happy as wealth, status, praise or sensual. The only way we can get extreme happiness is through the practice of mental development (bhavana), developing concentration and wisdom until realized vimutti mind or freedom from forms of pain (dukkha).
Merits to the deceased means sharing the joy arising from good jobs or the right of us. These beings receive our dedication who died and rebirth and peta realm - quy- beings succumb under a lower realms, sometimes capable of existing in humans. Peta often depicted in Buddhist art as starving beings with little mouth like a pinhole so they can not eat enough food to alleviate hunger.
We can not merits to those who are alive because they can create may merit greater still what we are doing for themselves. Beings of the hungry ghost realm opposite can not do this and had to rely on people who live to do good to their merits. The beings reborn man and heaven has accumulated enough good karma to keep them satisfied or happy or they can themselves create more blessings if they wish so. Those being reborn in the realm of hell can not get the merits of us because they've completely ruined by the fire of suffering.
These beings live in the realm of hungry ghosts we yearn for their merits like beggars. Just a bit of merit that we can accumulate divide them, as we give someone a bus ticket or a cheap meal. So enough. So whenever we do something right or good as charity and wants to do something for the deceased as a member of our family, friends, we can This merits for them. Maybe they're waiting.
Do not expect that after we die, others will share blessings for us. Though they have done so, we were very little. We can accumulate many more blessings for us when we are alive to what we do today, go to the temple to make offerings, Precept and Dharma Talk, do these things, we It will receive more blessings than what the beings in the world hungry ghosts receive. Every time we offered, we should divide blessing to those deceased. If they are waiting for us to divide them good, they will get and we also received many more blessings through sharing this blessing.
Rejoice merit is happy with those who did the right thing or good. When we express our appreciation, we will feel happy. Right action or good not harm anyone, it only brings benefits. Even if we do not receive direct benefit from this work, we should not feel jealous because it is a form of negativity just makes us feel miserable. However if we rejoice and express our admiration for this good work, we will be happy. Right action or good like waves on the ocean will eventually hit the coast, sooner or later benefit will come with us. When someone in the community right action or good, the whole community would be beneficial because it provides a safe, peaceful. That community will become a community well and live happily. When communities live in peace, joy, we, who live in that community will be benefited. So when we see those with the right actions and good, we have expressed support and admiration of us against them.
Serving others is pretty obvious, so no need to go into detail.
Humility is a virtue as just another person to love us, because it is contrary arrogance only lead to hatred. If we need the support and goodwill from others and do not want to be away from them, we should show humility.
Having the right view is to understand natural laws (causal) or truth dominates our existence, as attahi attano nadho, we are helpless of ourselves, because we are self-made man her happy, sad, good, or bad. When we understand this, we will know how to live so that happiness and prosperity, because we understand that through the right action or good, we will be happy and if we act wrong or immoral, we will suffer.
If we believe in natural law and to act ethically, we would have been happy and favorable results. If we do not believe, but still act morally, we will reap the same benefits. But if we do not believe and immoral action, we certainly will have an unfavorable outcome. If we believe, we certainly would not dare wrongdoing. Those who believe will be entitled to benefit from this natural law optimistic while those who do not believe will not be entitled to the benefit because they are likely to act inappropriately.
Being led by the negativity such as anger, greed and ignorance, they often act wrong or evil because they do not believe in heaven or hell, do not believe in reincarnation, nor believe in the reap the fruits of their careers in the afterlife. This is because these people have the wrong opinion about the law of nature and it will push them into the cycle of rebirth damnation and endless suffering, resulting from their evil deed, by they can not afford to eliminate hatred, greed and delusion.
However, those who have the right perspective on the truth will know that their evil karma creates adverse consequences that they will suffer themselves. They will act right and good because they do not want to reap the undesirable results. By continuing to act ethically, their mind will gradually evolve until reaching the same level of the Buddha and his noble disciples achieved.
Listen to France was a very beneficial experience for Dharma is like a lamp in the darkness will dispel the illusions of our minds did not see us ignorant of the truth. There is no benefit gained from associating with people who lie. We should instead stick with those who are not deceived, like the Buddha and his noble disciples who saw the light of the teaching and so they know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad. If we regularly hear them preach, we will have the knowledge, wisdom and deep insight, we help to us just do what is good and right and therefore would generate good results and advantage. For these reasons, told France's another way to make merit.
Preach to others is another way to make merit. If we know the Dhamma, though just a little, we should also teach others. When someone we know falls on hard times and do not know how to escape this predicament, a few tips from the Dhamma can be extremely useful, and can give them the power to implement them.
Today, we lack the teaching. When in trouble, we do not know where to find the rotation on the support and encouragement because we did not go to the temple to listen to Buddhist teachings, to train and develop our mind. So, when we run into difficulties, we did not know how to deal with them when in fact they all can be easily solved if we can work that accept the fact that any What if would like that to be so.
We must face the reality. Anything we do, we will pay for it sooner or later. If we did something wrong, accept it and be ready to face the consequences. If we lose everything, be accepted as such. If we think so, no one would commit suicide.
But today, when we are faced with unfavorable results, we do not know what to do except think destroy themselves to escape the miserable results but do not realize that we can only kill the body only. Tam will continue to suffer in hell. When we are reborn again as a human being, we will commit suicide again when we fall into the difficulties that we can not deal with them. Buddha taught that suicide every subsequent time will be 500 suicides in the future lives of the people because it is a habit is formed.
The only way to break this vicious circle is to rely on France and use it to deal with our adversity. Use patience, patience and tolerance to face our problems, though serious problems any way. We can not escape, even if it means jail, or convicted, just think of it as a karmic consequences of our past. Once the payment is completed, it will be gone forever.
Most of us probably think make merit is only charity, in fact there are other ways to make merit. Like the food, we not only eat well, we still eat vegetables and fruits. Our body needs five food groups to be strong and healthy. Similarly, our mind will only grow if we cultivate ten ways to create good karma. So our duty is to put what we hear today in practice. Then and only then can we reap the favorable results bring us happiness and prosperity.END=NAM MO SAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=THICH CHAN TANH.THE MIND OF ENLIGTHMENT.WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY=AUSTRALIA.SYDNEY.17/10/2015.
