RÙA & DÃ CAN. THE GIOI.PHAT GIAO CHUYEN PHAP LUAN KIM LIEN.TINH THAT.THICH NU CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,,SYDNEY.18/9/2022.
THANK YOU ANNOUNCEMENT. Once, while the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, he called for the monks: There are two classes of people, bhikkhus, I say it is impossible to repay the favor. how is two? Mother and father. If one shoulder carries the mother, the other shoulder carries the father, do so for a hundred years to a hundred years old; If you massage, wash, bathe and oil there, your parents have defecation and defecation, then, bhikkhus, you have not done enough or repay your mother and father enough. Why why? Because, bhikkhus, parents have done much for their children, brought them up, and introduced them into this world. DISCLAIMER: Filial piety to parents is one of the basic ethical standards of Buddhist children. Learning to follow the Buddha's conduct, first of all, is to perfect the merits of filial children. If you have not completed the sentence of filial piety, you are not qualified to be a human and participate in the ranks of true Buddhists. Gratitude and gratitude to those born into the world is what Buddhists always think about. However, the merit born into nurture is as high as a mountain and as wide as the sea, so it is difficult to repay. Serving and honoring parents fully materially in the present life is already a difficult thing to do. But even if you can do it, according to the wisdom of the Blessed One is still not enough. The filial son of Buddha is well aware of the effects of karma in the cycle of birth and death, and at the same time must orient his parents to create good karma to sublimate life in the future. Each person has their own karma, so the way to feel the results is different. In terms of special karma, whoever does it is blessed and whoever does it, he/she bears it. When karma is ripe and bears fruit, no matter how close or full of love, no one can accept it. Therefore, along with filial piety, Taking care of his current parents, the filial Buddha also directs kindness to his parents so that his parents can be at peace for many lives. Therefore, the true Buddha's children, in addition to practicing self-transformation, fulfilling filial piety, need to make efforts to support the conditions, encourage the parents to keep their faith in the Three Jewels, abide in the good precepts, diligently practice giving, happy with the conduct of offerings and especially the achievement of right view. It is the wisdom of right view that will illuminate all the good dharmas on the path of practicing the Noble Eightfold Path. Thanks to that, parents who have enough conditions to create many good karmas, stay away from evil paths in future lives. This is the characteristic of the spirit of Buddhist filial piety as well as the most complete and complete method of filial piety.L 2- INCREDIBLE LOVE OF A Mother Once, the Blessed One was staying in Sàvatthi, calling the monks: what do you think, bhikkhus, what is more? The mother's milk that you drank while you circulated samsara for a long time or the water in the four seas? Venerable Sir, according to the Blessed One's teaching, we understand that it is more than the mother's milk that we have drunk during the long cycle of samsara, not the water in the four seas. Good thing, bhikkhus, you have understood the dhamma that I have taught. DISCLAIMER: Most of us grow up starting with our mother's milk. Nature has endowed mothers with a sweet breast milk, helping the infant to have full of nutrients and antibodies that few artificial nutritional compounds can replace. And those milk lines are also a part of the mother's body. Before that, when she knew she was pregnant, her mother lived for her child. Nearly ten months of pregnancy, three years of nursing, the mother has put all her energy to share with her child. For mothers and children is all, Maybe even for the sake of children that they forget their own lives. As you grow up, my strength is also worn out and exhausted, but I am always happy about it. You have given me a body with all my love and flesh. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that the mother's milk that we have drunk while circulating in samsara from beginningless time to the present is more than the water in the four seas. Still know "the mother's heart is as vast as the sea of Thai Binh" but life with many fluctuations, busy making a living, so often forget, neglect the duty of being a child. Therefore, filial children need to regularly meditate on the depth of love and care in order to grow up and keep filial piety and filial piety towards those who are born. Recognizing the profound grace of parents for birth and nourishment is as vast as the sky and the sea is an important basis for the full practice of filial piety. "The filial piety is the Buddha's mind, the filial piety is the Buddha's conduct". Mind is the basis for action, so once filial piety is accomplished, filial piety will surely be fulfilled.L 3- PARENTS & CHILDREN Once, the Blessed One was staying in Rajagaha, in Veluvana. At any time Singakala (Vietnamese Poetry), the householder's son, got up early, went out of the city to pay respects to the six directions. When he met the Blessed One, he taught Singàkala about filial piety as follows: Householder, there are five cases where a child must take care of his parents: Being raised, the child will take care of his parents; children will fulfill their duties towards their parents; you will keep family and traditions; children protect inherited property; I will have a funeral when my parents die. O householder, being cared for by children in these five ways, parents have compassion for their children also in five ways: Preventing children from doing evil, encouraging children to do good; vocational training; get married, give a worthy husband for children; the right time to give the inheritance to the children. Householder, if parents are cared for by their children and parents have compassion for their children in these five ways, the family will be safe, free from fears. DISCLAIMER: The family home is an important fulcrum for family members, especially in the context of social and economic fluctuations, it is essential to establish a happy family to protect each other. the more necessary. To do that, all family members, parents and children need to work hard to fulfill their responsibilities and duties. In order for their children to become human, to be diligent, diligent in work, to be fully ethical and filial, parents must really love and take care of their children's upbringing. It is not by chance that our fathers have attributed the responsibility that "the child is spoiled by the mother". Children are bamboo shoots, If they know how to bend and protect them, they will become upright and useful bamboo later on. Therefore, establishing a basic moral foundation for children such as teaching to give up evil and do good, not to be greedy, to love one's neighbor... is something to do. Next is the work of career guidance, creating a family and trusting investment, transferring the career to children, so that they can be independent and stand firm in life. Parents who know how to love and raise their children to be human, have fame, family, and career, children will surely understand and repay with filial piety. According to the wisdom of the Blessed One, in order to become a filial son, reciting the kindness of parents to repay the favor is essential. By cultivating the mind of deep love and nurturing, filial piety is formed and growing, leading to the fulfillment of the duty of being a child. So, Filial piety is one of the important duties of parenthood, which is formed from the love and upbringing of parents. Filial piety will naturally be complete when the parents themselves are really exemplary and complete with the way of parenting, then the children will fulfill the morality of being their own children. At one time, the Blessed One was staying at Rajagaha, on the Gijjhakuta mountain. Then the Blessed One took some earth from the tip of his fingernail and said to the bhikkhus: What do you think, bhikkhus, which is more, a little earth on the tip of a fingernail or this great earth? World-Honored One, what is more is this earth, less is the earth on the tip of a fingernail. In the same way, bhikkhus, less are sentient beings who are filial to their mother and father, and more to those who do not respect their mother or father. DISCLAIMER: Honoring parents is a natural thing, almost any child knows how to remember and wholeheartedly take care of his parents to repay the kindness of being born. Then why did the Blessed One assert that "it is less than the sentient beings who are filial to their mother and father, and more than those who do not respect their mother and father"? It can be said from the heart, no one does not respect their parents. But to carry out the parallel of filial piety and filial piety, few people can do it. Here, we are not talking about people who are guilty of great treason (killing their father, killing their mother) or those who are disobedient to only harming and afflicting their parents. The problem worth mentioning is that even though the children are filial, they want to show their filial piety, but then they can't do much for the people who are born. Why? There are 1,001 reasons to justify that. No matter how valid those reasons are and even though our parents are completely sympathetic and self-sacrificing, we still have to admit that what we have done for our parents is really too little compared to the profound grace and nurturing we have. sky sea. Living in the world, being filial is already difficult, doing it is even harder because not everyone has enough blessings to serve and respect their parents as they wish. Life is complicated and turbulent, busy with more important and urgent things, so the privacy of parents is temporarily put on hold. This is also easy to sympathize with but ironically nothing awaits us. Then the thing that will come has come and we can't turn back, only holding the regret that we haven't done much for our parents, then he's gone. Think and reflect on the teachings of the Blessed One to see that you have not yet completed the sentence of filial piety. People who truly honor their parents like the soil in a fingernail compared to the earth on earth reminds us to do what needs to be done for our parents right away, don't make an appointment tomorrow so you won't regret it later.L 5- PROMOTE PARENTS GUIDELINES Once, the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, in Anàthapindika's garden. There, the World-Honored One called the Bhikkhus: Hey, bhikkhus, who has no faith in their parents, encourages, guides, and rests them in faith; for parents who follow the evil world, encourage, guide, and settle them in the good world; for parents who are not greedy, encourage, guide, and stay in almsgiving; for parents who follow evil wisdom, encourage, guide, and dwell in wisdom. That is enough to do and repay enough for mom and dad. DISCLAIMER: Most of us think of our parents as God and Buddha, the object of worship, and inviolability. Nurturing and molding this concept deeply into the mind is an important quality to create filial piety and filial piety. But the reality shows that there are still many parents who are dominated by karma, so they are not really exemplary and show all their responsibility and parenting role, leading to a significant impact on their children and the whole family. People often criticize unfilial children as contrarian, but they are also strict when attributing "bad children to their mothers, naughty grandchildren to grandmothers". Currently, there are many children who have to suffer humiliation because their parents lack conscience and responsibility, even bitterly with the sentence "grace was born", resentful and alienated both parents. Here, we don't blame anyone, because as a human being, there are certain limitations in any role, and no one can avoid making mistakes. You need to calmly observe yourself and your family to realize the flow of karma, community of the whole family. Thanks to deeply contemplating on community karma, we will see more clearly about the current family situation, reduce mutual resentments and more importantly, open a new direction to transform and overcome. Right here, the practice of filial piety is raised to a higher level than encouraging parents to give up evil rules. Bad children are also children, parents, no matter what "negligence", are still parents, no one can change this collective karma. Therefore, helping each other to transform each other and improve family karma is better than what a filial Buddha should do. With humans, all mistakes come from ignorance, from craving, from hatred and delusion. Instead of complaining, let's use faith (faith), precepts (do good, avoid evil), giving (letting go) and wisdom (understanding) along with love and respect to encourage parents to look towards them. Tam Bao. No one wants to see their loved ones go to the evil realm. Therefore, encouraging parents to turn to good and give up evil rules not only brings happiness to parents in this life but also in future lives. Doing this is called filial piety, filial piety, is "doing enough and repaying enough gratitude to mother and father". Then the brahmin Mataposaka went to pay homage and said to the Blessed One: Venerable Gotama, I seek food that is practical according to the common law, and then I take care of my mother and father. Venerable Gotama, am I responsible for doing this? Brahmin, it is your responsibility to do so. Brahmin, one who seeks practical food according to the ordinary dharma, and then nourishes his mother and father, that person gains much merit. The World-honored One said: Those who follow the common law / Nurture mother and father / It is because of this merit / For father and mother / Thus the sages / In this life praise / After death are born / Enjoy the peace of the gods. Hearing this, the brahmin Mataposaka said to the Blessed One: How wonderful, Venerable Gotama! I hope that the venerable one will accept me as a disciple. From now until the end of my life, I will be a lifelong devotee. DISCLAIMER: Serving parents is one of the important duties of children. Not only serving, the filial son must also be obedient, love and respect his parents with all sincerity. Blessing to take care of parents, according to the wisdom of the World Honored One, the present is honored and praised by the world, and in the future is reborn in the happy and peaceful heavenly world. However, the important thing that the Blessed One wants to emphasize here is that the items of service and respect for parents must be pure, is the result of genuine labor (according to common law). Right here, the spirit of filial piety is seen through a different and deeper prism than finding the cause of all the achievements that a child has achieved and brought up to support his parents. If the present material achievements are the result of illegal business such as competition, theft, fraud, tax evasion, bribery, corruption, etc., and then take care of their parents, not only will they not be blessed. which parents may be implicated. Contemplating this issue deeply so that we can shape and adjust our filial behavior for ourselves. New or good, true respect and filial piety to parents is the perfection of personality, doing righteous business, living ethically, always aiming for the good. In today's fiercely competitive living environment, It is necessary to think deeply about the teachings of the Blessed One in order to live a good life and be filial to those born and born. Because more than anyone else, parents never expect their children to do evil and even more do not want their children to do evil for them.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.18/9/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.

TRIAL AND SHORT TRIAL. At one time, the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, at the monastery of Anathapindika. A young man, Subha Todeyyaputta, went to the Blessed One and, after greeting and greeting him, sat down to one side, and said to the Blessed One: Venerable Gotama, what is the cause and what is the cause and condition between humans, we see someone short life, some people long life…? So, young man, listen and ponder carefully, I will say: Here, young man, there is a woman or a man who kills, is cruel, has blood on his hands, has a mind dedicated to killing, wounding, non-compassionate mind towards all kinds of sentient beings. Because of that kamma, after death, he is reborn in the evil realm, the evil destination. If he is reborn as a human, his life will be short. But here, young man, is there a woman or a man who abstains from killing, abstains from killing, gives up his staff, and puts down his sword, knowing goodwill, having compassion, live compassionately to the happiness of all sentient beings. Because of that kamma, after death, he is reborn in a good destination, in the heavenly world. If he is reborn as a human, he will have a long life. DISCLAIMER: Each person living in the world has a different status and life span. Some people live long and healthy lives, while others suffer from illness, accidents, or even premature death. The cause of the difference in life span between long-lived and short-lived people is that their karmic actions in the past and right now are different. If a person commits a lot of killing karma without loving-kindness, his or her life will be shortened by the evil retribution for killing. On the contrary, those who live in the world without killing, know how to protect and respect life, rich in loving-kindness towards everyone and all species, that person will be blessed with a long life. The cause and effect of life span is very clear and transparent, no powerful or supernatural being has the right to govern and decide human life. It is people who decide their own fate through their own created karma. In order to improve karma, especially killing karma, to increase the blessings of life, each person should practice developing loving-kindness. Only compassion extinguishes hatred; only the undiscriminating and unconditional love of compassion can resolve all contradictions and conflicts. In the context of war, terrorism, violence and murder spreading all over the world, evil karma of killing is raging, Buddhists must be deeply aware of the consequences of killing karma, make every effort to call and fight fight for peace. At the same time, self overcome killing karma by practicing vegetarianism, protecting the environment, respecting life, cultivating and spreading seeds of compassion to everyone. L 2- VUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAN At one time, the Blessed One was staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetanava, in his garden Anàthapindika. Then the bhikkhu Kokāliya went up to him, bowed down, sat down to one side, and said to the Blessed One: World-Honored One, Sariputta and Moggallana are evil desires, conquered by evil desires. Hey Kokāliya, don't do that! Hey Kokāliya, don't do that! O Kokāliya, let your mind be steadfast in regard to Sariputta and Moggallana. The sages Sariputta and Moggallana. For the second time, the bhikkhu Kokāliya said to the Blessed One: Venerable Sir, although the Blessed One has faith and confidence, for me, Sàriputta and Moggallana are evil desires, conquered by evil desires. (The Blessed One has advised Kokāliya three times as above). Then the bhikkhu Kokāliya arose from his seat, bowed down to the Blessed One, and departed. Bhikkhu Kokāliya passed away not long ago, his whole body emerged with pimples as big as a mustard seed; after growing to the size of a mustard seed, they grow to the size of a pea; after growing to the size of a pea, they grow to the size of a stone; after growing up with a stone, they grow to be the size of an apple… They eventually broke open, and pus and blood came out. Then the bhikkhu Kokāliya passed away due to this illness. Suffering from death, the bhikkhu Kokāliya was born in the hell of the Pink Lotus, with a mind of hatred towards Sàriputta and Moggallana. DISCLAIMER: Venerable Sariputta (Sariputra) and Venerable Moggallana (Muc Kien Lien) are saints who have completely abandoned their corruption and are completely purified and liberated. As the Great Disciples of the Blessed One, the First Wisdom and the First Supernatural, these two Venerables are full of merit, wisdom and compassion, of course they are completely heartless, dwelling in the Holy Spirit. . But because of slander and insult to the saint, Kokāliya's merit and virtue were reduced, and he felt the retribution of being tortured to death by scabies. After you die, The forecast is still heavy, so he falls into hell and suffers a lot of suffering. The fact that Kokāliya suffered retribution and fell in hell for slandering the Saints has given us a lesson. When we have not participated in the Holy Spirit, we are not capable of appraising and distinguishing the saints. Therefore, care must be taken when judging, judging or expressing an attitude towards people. Today, although there are not many Saints (or there are people who hide their identities, they do not reveal themselves), but those who practice virtue and holy life are not few. However, there are still many criticisms, criticisms, detractors, even slandering practitioners everywhere. As for the true cultivators, it is possible that they can endure all that life has to offer (honor or trample) without any reaction and without hostility or retaliation. But surely those carrying malicious slander will suffer heavy retribution. We are living in the common world of saints (Fam Saints live together), and especially in the context of more and more criticisms and comments on the personalities of spiritual practitioners, we must be even more careful to avoid worthy consequences. unfortunately like Kokàliya.L 3- BEAUTIFUL AND Ugly Once, the Blessed One was in Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, his Anathapindika monastery. A young man, Subha Todeyyaputta, came to the Blessed One, and after greeting and greeting him, sat down to one side, and said to the Blessed One: Venerable Gotama, what is the cause, what is the cause, and what predestined relationship between humans we see bad people? ugly, there are beautiful people. So, young man, listen and ponder carefully, I will say: Here, young man, there is a woman or a man, angry, much resentful, being talked about a little at a time of discontent, anger hatred, opposition, and discontent. Because of that kamma, after death, he is reborn in the evil realm, the evil destination. If he is reborn as a human, he must suffer ugliness. But here, young man, there is a woman or a man who is not angry, not much offended, even though much talked about, is not angry, does not get angry, oppose and show displeasure. Because of that kamma, after death, he is reborn in a good destination, in the heavenly world. If he is reborn as a human, he will be beautiful. DISCLAIMER: Every human being is born in this world with a destiny. Everyone wants to be beautiful and likable, and no one wants to be ugly, flawed, and unsightly. However, it is the face of each individual in the present that most honestly and clearly reflects their own karma. The most basic and important factor affecting ugly appearance, Defects are karma created by impatience, anger, lack of control, anger, resistance, and dissatisfaction. No need to wait until the next life, just in the present, the above mentality and behaviors have devastated, destroyed and significantly changed the face of the angry person. On the contrary, people with joyful, peaceful, calm, tolerant and loving hearts, the beauty on their inherent appearance is multiplied by the energy of joy and harmony, and are very approachable. and friendly. Because the mind is not burned by the fire of anger, the face is not disfigured by anger, but radiant and cheerful, making them more beautiful. This is also the karma for his lovely beauty in the present and in the future. Therefore, Buddhists need to maintain mindfulness to gain self-control and calm in all situations of life. On the other hand, Nurturing and growing loving-kindness for love, forgiveness, tolerance, and especially using the heart to transform anger and anger is the art of living happily according to the Buddha's teachings. It is these things that are the materials to form the lovely, lovely look in each individual's self.L 4- RESULTS Once, the Blessed One was staying in Rajagaha, in Veluvana. At that time, Venerable Moggallana was staying at Gijjhakuta mountain, and when he came down from the mountain, he smiled. The other venerables, seeing this, asked the reason, and Moggallana replied: Here, friends, when I came down from the Gijjhakuta mountain, I saw a novice in the middle of nowhere. Y of this taste is burning red, red tops. The bowl, the belt, and the body were also burned red and red. He let out cries of pain. Hey sages, I think as follows: How rare! Such a person becomes such a being, such a yakkha. Then the Blessed One called to the bhikkhus: Once upon a time I also saw that novice, but I did not say it, because if I did, others would not believe it. Monks, that novice was an evil novice during the time when the Fully Enlightened One Kassapa preached the Dharma. Due to his mastery of evil karma, after being burned in hell for many years, with retribution remaining, he experiences such a body. COMMENTARY: It would be terrifying for anyone to see a being traveling through space with his whole body on fire, weeping bitterly. It was even more terrifying when we learned it was a Buddhist nun, a novice nun. But anything can happen, even if you are a monastic, if you are not mindful, you will fall down if you do evil. Cause and effect are inherently fair, no one can escape cause and effect, sowing the wind will reap the storm. Thing, With the wisdom of the Blessed One and the first Supernatural Moggallana and the Arahants, we can clearly see the cause and effect of sentient beings (Thien's eye), but we mortals do not. Haven't seen it, so sometimes I don't believe it or I don't believe it. Therefore, although there are many cultivators, there are very few people who are liberated from the path, and even a few people are lost. What is remarkable here is the "no talk" of the Blessed One and the smile of Venerable Moggallana. Seeing the truth of cause and effect, but it is difficult to share with ordinary people, who have thin knowledge and thick karma, except for a few cases with good conditions. There are three times of cause and effect. In the present time, there are still people who do not believe in it, let alone in the future times of birth and retribution. But it is certain that doing evil will be repaid by evil. The novice created bad karma in the past Buddha's time, but in the World Honored One's time, there was still a residual report, burning the yaksha ghost, starving and suffering, crying bitterly while traveling in the middle of nowhere. This fact warns us to always be wary of evil, even as small as a hair. The evil retribution will follow the evildoer like a shadow in the image, like "the wheel follows the animal that draws the cart", no matter who that person is. L 5- TWO TYPEs of Sin Once, the Blessed One was staying in Sàvatthi, in the garden. Mr. Anathapindika. There the World-Honored One called to the bhikkhus: "Monks, there are two kinds of offenses. how is two? Sin has results now and sin has results in the next life. What is sin with immediate results? Monks, when he saw that the king had caught a thief and an incompetent, he applied many other wrong punishments. They were beaten with whips until they were beheaded. Seeing that, he immediately thought: Because of doing evil deeds, he will be punished like this. Think so, he is afraid of sin in the present. And, bhikkhus, what is the result of sin in the next life? Here, someone considers as follows: The retribution of evil body, speech, and mind, after the breakup of the body, after death, one must be reborn in an evil realm, an evil destination, and a hell. Thinking thus, he is afraid of sin in the next life. Therefore, bhikkhus, it is necessary to learn the following: We should be afraid of sin with results now and in the next life. We must see the danger and stay away from sin. DISCLAIMER: Cause and effect in life is inherently very precise and clear, whatever cause you sow, you will reap. The Buddha also taught: Whether going up a high mountain or going down an abyss, karma cannot be avoided. Due to the correct perception of cause and effect, the Buddha's son is always cautious in his own actions, words and thoughts. The process from cause to effect, It can happen in the present, but it can also happen in the near or far future. Just observing in the present, we can also easily recognize the immediate consequences of evil deeds such as theft, car racing, smoking, adultery, persecution, harm, smuggling, embezzlement... leads to arrest, prosecution, imprisonment and execution. In addition to the sins that have results in the present, there are countless evil deeds that will have bad results in the future. People often fear the present retribution and despise the future retribution. Therefore, those who have committed crimes but have not been detected or have "landed safely" enjoy leisurely, as innocently as innocent people, even smugly chuckle. The truth is not like that, the conscience is always tormented and the retribution will come to those people, it is impossible to escape. Therefore, Buddhist learners clearly see cause and effect, so they are always afraid of retribution. determined not to do evil, to stay away from sin. Belief in cause and effect, fear of retribution in this life and future lives will contribute to the formation of personality and morality for each person. Society will be peaceful, good and develop more stable when each person has the correct perception of cause and effect and karma. Then the householder Anathapindika went up to the Blessed One, bowed down to him, and sat down to one side. The Blessed One said to the householder Anāthapindika: There are these four things, householder, pleasant, pleasing, agreeable, and difficult to obtain in the world. how is four? Hope that property arises for us in the right way; hope that a good name is spread about me, along with my relatives; hope that we have a long life, long life span; I hope that when the body breaks up after death, we will be reborn in the good realms, in the heavens and in this world. These are the four dharmas that are pleasant, pleasant, agreeable, and difficult to obtain in the world. Hey Homeowner, As for the four dharmas that are pleasant, pleasing, agreeable, and difficult to obtain in this world, there are four dharmas that lead to the realization of those dharmas. how is four? It is full of faith, full of precepts, full of generosity, and full of wisdom. DISCLAIMER: In life, everyone wishes to be full, prosperous and prosperous. Not only that, they also wish to have a good name, good health and long life, furthermore hope that after leaving the world, they will be reborn in a peaceful world. Those longings are righteous, good, but hard to come by, because not many people have enough blessings. Often we gain one and lose the other. However, having something to gain is also very valuable, because around us there are many people who have nothing to lose. It is the ups and downs of glory and humiliation in life, the experience of gain and loss that is there and there that makes us realize the value of merit and virtue. "If you have talent, you can rely on it." there are many things but who can guarantee that they are ours forever? Only deep merit and virtue can bring peace and happiness in this volatile life. It is not by chance that our forefathers have drawn valuable life experiences "Blessed, virtuous to enjoy". That merit is the continuation of the wisdom of the Blessed One, applied in daily life through practical manifestations: having full faith, morality, generosity and wisdom. Belief in the Three Jewels is the source of all merit and virtue. Because the three precious thrones, the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha are the bright torches that illuminate the path to all good paths. If we firmly abide in the pure faith of the Three Jewels, we will automatically establish a virtuous, honest and joyful life with almsgiving and open our hearts to everyone. Know how to live with faith, morality and letting go, live for yourself and others, live with present and future happiness, that is wisdom. Therefore, the wish for happiness of Buddhists is not just a dream, vague belief, asking someone to bless, but must accumulate and build blessings for themselves by living well every day, every hour. . Once the merits and virtues are complete, all things will be accomplished according to their wishes, peace and lasting happiness.
USE LEGENDS TO BE A SHORT LAMP. At one time, the Blessed One was staying at Vesali, in the village of Veluva, and called to the monks: "Bhikkhus, live in the rainy season, where there are friends and acquaintances. I will settle down in the rainy season in this village of Veluva. During that season of retreat, the Blessed One was seriously ill, feeling severe pain, but the Blessed One was still mindful, aware, and did not complain. Then the Blessed One got rid of his illness, Venerable Ànanda said to the Blessed One: Venerable Sir, I have some consolation that the Blessed One will not pass away if he does not have the word to teach the monks. nanda, the Tathagata does not think: "I will be the leader of the Order of Bhikkhus", or "The Order of the Bhikkhus will be taught by Me", then Ànanda, how could the Tathagata have a message for the Order of the Bhikkhus? stilts? Hey Ànanda, be yourself a lamp, rely on yourself, don't rely on anything else. Use the Dharma as a lamp, use the Dharma as a refuge, do not rely on anything else. Ànanda, those who, now or after my extinction, are themselves a lamp, rely on themselves, and do not rely on anything else. Use the Dharma as a lamp, use the Dharma as a refuge, not relying on anything else. These, Ànanda, are the foremost among my bhikkhus. DISCLAIMER: Right from the time when the Blessed One was in the world, he affirmed an extremely important thing that the Tathagata is not the teacher, the leader, and the administrator of the Sangha, but only the teacher who shows the way, depending on the situation. chemical. On the other hand, the bhikkhus do not have to be led, completely dependent on the Blessed One, but must be self-aware, self-realizing, and light the torch on their own. This proves that in Buddhism there is no religious authority and that after the Buddha entered Nirvana, the disciples, in addition to relying on themselves, relied only on the Dharma. The teachings of the Blessed One in the last season of retreat once again affirm the spirit of self-reliance and self-enlightenment. The teacher only has the role of showing the path of practice and helping the student's mental sublimation process. And so, the leadership role is limited to the forms of organizations and organizations that are instrumental, not spiritual. It was the Tathagata, the founder of Buddhism, who denied his leadership role, only acknowledging that he was the Master, the Medical King, and no one for posterity could take on that role. This is a very unique and rare feature, only found in Buddhism. The Buddha's disciples, whether when the Blessed One is in the world or after the Buddha's extinction, need to enlighten themselves by relying on the Dharma. This was repeated by the Blessed One again before Nirvana: "Ananda, after the extinction of the Tathagata, the Dharma and the Law will be your Guru". Therefore, the practice of relying on the Dharma, relying on oneself is the teaching motto of all the Buddha's children.L 2- AVOID THE TWO poles Once, the Blessed One was staying at Baranasi, at Isipatana. There, the Blessed One said to the bhikkhus: There are these two extremes, bhikkhus, a monastic should not practice. how is two? One is to indulge in sensual pleasures, lowly, ordinary people, unworthy of sainthood, unrelated to the goal. The second is self-torture, suffering, unworthy of the Noble One, unrelated to the goal. Avoiding these two extremes, bhikkhus, It is the Middle Way, led by the Tathagata to full enlightenment and wisdom, leading to peace, enlightenment, and Nirvana. What, bhikkhus, is the Middle Way? It is the Noble Eightfold Path, ie: Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration. This is the Middle Way, led by the Tathagata to full enlightenment and wisdom, leading to peace, enlightenment, and Nirvana. DISCLAIMER: When the Blessed One left Bodh Gaya for the Deer Park, his first golden word was to practice concentration on the path, avoiding the two extremes of sensual pleasures and asceticism. Thus, indulging in worldly ambitions or suffering excessively is not the right path, unrelated to the goal of liberation. This is also a guideline for all Buddhists, especially monastics. However, The question is, how do we define now to stay away from the two extremes of "indulgence in sensual pleasures" and "self-torture"? At that time, when the World-Honored One took a bath and ate food (a bowl of milk porridge offered by Ms. Sujata) was considered by a group of ascetics Kieu Tran Nhu to enjoy sensual pleasures. Maybe that "enjoyment", today may be considered asceticism, forced body. Thus, to some extent, the middle way is to establish a balance, a middle ground that corresponds to the living standards of the current society in the spirit of minimal desire and contentment. Today, the socio-economic development, thanks to which the temples are built to be large, the life of monastics is enhanced with many amenities, if not falling into modernity, luxury and luxury (only the middle class) can be considered as the middle way of life. Therefore, we need to understand the Buddha's teaching dynamically in this regard. More importantly, the Blessed One made it clear that the spirit of his middle path is the Noble Eightfold Path. Thus, avoiding the two extremes is to avoid eliminating obstacles that are excessive, stubborn, and fall into extremes in order to promote and achieve the Noble Path, which is also the Middle Way. The essence of this path is the attainment of right view, insight into the truth about the dependent origination of the body, mind, and world, overcoming craving and clinging, and attaining liberation. , the Blessed One dwelt among the people of Vajji, in the village of Bhanda. There, the Blessed One called the monks: There are four classes of people, monks, who exist in the world. how is four? People who go upstream, people who go against the current, people who stand on their own, and those who have crossed to the other shore, standing on land. Hey monks, what kind of people go upstream? The type of person who enjoys sex and does bad karma is called going with the flow. What kind of people go against the current? Monks, there are people who do not enjoy sensual pleasures, do not do evil deeds, and live a pure and perfect holy life called going against the current. What, bhikkhus, is a person who stands still? The kind of person who, because of the cessation of the five fetters, is transformed into a rebirth, and does not return to this life anymore, is called self-standing. What kind of people have crossed to the other shore, standing on land? There are, bhikkhus, a person who, through the cessation of defilements, realizes and abides in the unsmiling mind of liberation, liberated by wisdom, is said to have crossed over to the other shore and stood on the land. Monks, there are four such people in the world. DISCLAIMER: Life flows like a river with boats up and down. Floating in the stream of birth and death has many joys and sorrows, There is little happiness, but much suffering and danger. Only those who step on the shore, stand on the ground with a flat mind and watch the mundane, chaotic river can deeply feel worldly suffering and worldly happiness. In that river of life, following the flow of karma is easy. To enjoy and do evil is to conform to the flow of birth and death. The boat of life is crowded, crowded, noisy, fighting and enjoying, gloating to be happy forever, but no one knows that it is going fast to the evil path. Then a few boats realized where the landing was, so they turned around, pedaled the waves, crossed the wind, and returned to the source. Accepting the tide, turning away from the world, leaving behind the foam and garbage, the boat of monastic life moves forward. Going against the current of the world, the difficulties become many, but wide and empty. After walking forever, we will return to the old wharf, in front of the green forest, Underfoot is fine sand. The boat of life stops, does not need to be anchored, sleeps peacefully in the empty wharf because the five waves of fetter are no longer there. Here the boat has incarnated, does not return to the river of birth and death (Non-return). In the same old wharf, there are boats pulled ashore peacefully, the river of love in the past is only a memory. From here, although the river of life is still flowing, the waves of love and afflictions on the river still scream and beat, but the boat from Prajna is still peaceful. Then compassion urged the boat to return to the river to save life. Therefore, the river of life is always bustling up and down. The four types of boats up and down in the river of love are also the four types of people living in life. Finding peace and liberation is the true reason of human life, as well as other boats looking for a peaceful landing. Then the venerable Malunkyaputta arose the following thought: "There are some questions that the Blessed One did not answer and set aside: Is the world permanent or impermanent? The world is finite or boundless. This life and body are one or the other. Whether the Tathagata exists or does not exist after death…”. The Blessed One did not answer me. So we must go to the Blessed One to inquire about these meanings. Thinking so, Venerable Malunkyaputta went to the Blessed One and asked the Blessed One about the above questions, requesting the Blessed One to answer definitively that "know or not know" and at the same time thinking that if the Blessed One answered, we would live the holy life according to instructions of the Blessed One, otherwise we will return to the world. Malunkyaputta, suppose a person is shot by a poisoned arrow. Friends and relatives invited a doctor to treat the wound, but he said, "I will not pull out the arrow if I do not know my family name, family name, appearance, the shooter's whereabouts; I will not pull out the arrow if I don't know what material and structure the bow is made of? What poison?…”. Malunkyaputta, he will die and still know nothing. In the same way, Malunkyaputta, if anyone says thus: 'I will live the holy life if the Blessed One answers me, 'Is the world permanent or impermanent . . . word. DISCLAIMER: The Blessed One once picked up a handful of leaves and declared that what the Tathagata knows is like a leaf in the forest, and what the Tathagata says is like a leaf in his hand. Though few, the handful of leaves in the Blessed One's hand contained all that was necessary to escape samsara. Because human life is fragile, the moment of birth and death, liberation from birth and death is the most important, necessary and important thing to do right away. All matters of a theoretical nature, metaphysics are not related and do not help in the eradication of afflictions, liberation of suffering. The reason why the Blessed One did not answer, put aside these things because they are not the basis of the holy life; does not lead to dispassion, superior knowledge, liberation, enlightenment, and nirvana. When a person is hit by a poisonous arrow, the most urgent thing is to pull the arrow out of the body to avoid death. After the wound was healed, it was not too late to find out about the origin of that arrow. Likewise, matters of the metaphysical category are no secret to one who has attained the Noble Truth. However, when you are not enlightened and liberated, you must make every effort to eliminate defilements and achieve Nirvana. The heart of the Buddha's teaching was the practice of the path leading to the cessation of suffering. Uprooting all suffering and afflictions from the body and mind is the main thing. Do not waste time and effort on useless things, not related to liberation because it will not be in time. Therefore, liberation from birth and death is the main, most necessary, and number one priority in the perception and practice of the Buddha's disciples. L 5- DO NOT SHIP AGE OF CHILDREN Once, the Blessed One was staying in Sàvatthi, at Jetavana. Then King Pasenadi of Kosala came, after greeting, sat down to one side, said to the Blessed One: Venerable Gotama, do you consider yourself to have attained Unsurpassed Enlightenment? Great King, if anyone can say that he has attained Unsurpassed Enlightenment, that person must be me. Dear King, I have attained Unsurpassed Enlightenment. Venerable Gotama, there are ascetics and Brahmins who are famous, famous, and famous religious leaders, leaders and monks, revered by the masses like the Puranas Kassapa, Nigantha Nàtaputta… When I asked them, "Do you consider yourself to have attained Unsurpassed Enlightenment?", they replied that they did not consider themselves to have attained Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. So why, then, does the young Venerable Gotama, who was born late after giving birth and just left home, considers himself like that? Great King, there are four types of youth that should not be despised, should not be despised because they are young. how is four? It was a young prince, a young snake, a young flame, and a young monk. Great King, these four types of young people should not be despised, should not be despised because they are young. DISCLAIMER: In terms of maturity and experience in life, society has always given the elderly a solemn position. However, in terms of talent, especially outstanding talents, regardless of age, because geniuses are naturally born, is the blessing of each person. Therefore, no one is surprised by the age of the genius. Therefore, with the wisdom of the World-Honored One, he clearly understood the nature of the four groups of special objects, very harmful, very dangerous, even though he was young, his career was just beginning. A young prince but hidden inside a powerful emperor, standing above all nations, ruling the whole world. A small but poisonous snake must be avoided if you do not want to lose your life. A small fire is the beginning of a great fire that consumes everything. The bhikkhu was young, but with many generations of good roots, perfect morality was hidden within a Guru, an Enlightened One. In this Dharma talk, the Blessed One wants to address two opposing aspects of the beneficial and harmful in newly arising phenomena. The Buddha's son must be aware and anticipate the two sides of the problem when it is still in its infancy. If it is the root cause of evil and unwholesomeness, it should be controlled and eliminated, even though it has only just formed in thought. On the contrary, if it is the source of kusala, it must be believed and promoted to reach the top. The trend of today's society is that rejuvenation, especially the rejuvenation of the leadership team, is a positive and dynamic change that stimulates the youth's striving to rise to self-expression. The Church is also making moves to rejuvenate the leadership, but it still seems to be too reserved. There are always advantages and limitations between the two generations, old and young. However, to believe in the youth's strength, to guide and support, and to entrust the responsibility to the young is to carry out the Buddha's teachings. So, we should not belittle or doubt the young generation, once they have all the qualities of maturity.L 6-Hold the leaves in the hand Once, the Blessed One was staying at Kosambi, in the Simsapà forest. The Blessed One picked up a few Simsapà leaves with his hand, and then said to the monks: What do you think, monks, which is more, the few Simsapà leaves that I hold in my hand or the leaves in the Simsapà forest? ? So few, Lord, a few Simsapà leaves that the Blessed One holds in his hand and so many, leaves in the Simsapà forest. In the same way, bhikkhus, there is so much that I have learned without telling you! So little of what I have said. DISCLAIMER: With the huge capacity of the Buddhist Tripitaka, not everyone in a lifetime is honored to have a look at it, but just holding a leaf in the hand of the Blessed One, Only then will we know how vast and great the wisdom of the Perfectly Enlightened One is. The things the Buddha taught people were so few compared to what he knew, so few that a handful of leaves in the hand compared to the leaves in the forest. This is the transcendental characteristic, demonstrating the omniscience and omniscience of the Buddha's wisdom. A good teacher does not have to present all that he already knows, but mainly to find the most appropriate and effective educational method to lead his students to the same understanding. Holding the Simsapà leaf in the hand is only "things related to the goal of liberation, the basis for the holy life, leading to dispassion, peace, victory, enlightenment, and Nirvana". That is what is most basic and necessary to help people overcome suffering to live peacefully and happily. Because the time budget for a human life is extremely short, therefore cannot be wasted, in the world of logic, metaphysics has no benefit for enlightenment and liberation. Like a person who has been hit by a poisonous arrow, the most urgent and necessary thing is to pull the poison arrow out and treat the wound. It will lose his life, if that person does not let the arrow be pulled but keeps going around trying to find out who this arrow was shot by, how it was made. What the Buddha taught is like holding a leaf in your hand, but it is a key to unlocking the treasure of wisdom of the leaves in the forest. Just by examining a portion of that leaf thoroughly, we will automatically understand the nature of all the leaves in the Buddha's forest of enlightenment. in Mr. Anathapindika's garden. At that time, the Blessed One addressed the bhikkhus: Here, bhikkhus, there is a relative who does not practice, the precepts does not practice, the mind does not practice, untrained wisdom, narrow, petty. Such people do petty evil deeds and that evil karma sends them to hell. Here, bhikkhus, a relative is cultivated, morality is cultivated, the mind is cultivated, wisdom is cultivated, without limitation or generosity. Such a person, doing similar petty evil deeds, that evil karma leads them to feeling even in the present even a little bit can't be seen (in the next life), not to mention much. Monks, if someone puts a handful of salt in a small bowl of water, the water in that cup becomes salty and inedible. But someone put a handful of salt into the water of the Ganges River, the mass of which was so large that it did not become salty and undrinkable because of this salt. DISCLAIMER: No one can avoid mistakes when not participating in the Holy Spirit. However, the mistakes that affect their self are completely different. It depends on the level of violation and the merit of each person's practice. If someone practices like the Dharma, the merit is deep, then that merit will partially neutralize the big mistakes and can eliminate the small mistakes. On the other hand, if someone does not practice as the Dharma, and does not accumulate much merit, he will bear the full consequences of his mistakes, even if they are small. Just like the rich lose a small amount of money, it does not affect the family's economy, but the poor lose that amount of money, there is a risk of debt, hunger. Or like a handful of salt dropped into the Ganges River, the river water does not become salty and undrinkable because of the handful of salt, but also holding the same salt and putting it in a small cup of water, the water in the cup will be salty and impossible to drink. However, this does not mean that people with a lot of merit can do whatever they want. Because it is extremely difficult to create merit, it must be accumulated for a long time and continuously cultivated, but if you make mistakes, especially big mistakes, it can destroy the merit and become empty-handed. Therefore, one must strive to practice, create merit, cultivate merit, and avoid carelessness in order to preserve the results of practice. And if unfortunately make a small mistake, it will not lead to fall or suffer serious consequences because the ability to practice will neutralize and minimize the negative effects and impacts on oneself. 8- DIFFERENCE Once, the Blessed One lived among the Bhagga people, the Bhesakala forest, and the Deer Park. At that time, Prince Bodhi invited the Blessed One and the Order of Bhikkhus to the house to receive a meal. After his life was over, Prince Bodhi said to the Blessed One: About how long, World Honored One, a bhikkhu practices according to the teachings of the Tathagata, achieve and stay unsurpassed goal of Brahma? O Prince, there are these five essential elements. What is the year? Here, this Prince: The Male stilts have faith, believe in the enlightenment of the Tathagata; He has less disease, less brain, has health; He is not deceitful, as true to the Master and fellow Brahma; He diligently abstains from unwholesome dharmas, cultivates kusala dhammas; He has wisdom about the arising and passing away of dharmas. This bhikkhu, who has accomplished these five factors of effort, can attain it in seven years, maybe six, five, four, three, two, one year, half a month, up to seven days, maybe seven days. Some people are taught in the morning, then in the afternoon have attained. DISCLAIMER: Diligence means diligence, diligence, diligence and perseverance is one of the extremely important factors determining success, even when facing the most obstacles and difficulties. In the career of cultivation, diligence is an assistant to the path, making a significant contribution to the achievement of Sainthood. According to the wisdom of the World-Honored One, maintaining faith in the Buddha, the Omniscient One is the first factor. Absolute trust in the Guru, the ultimate guide who is fully liberated and enlightened. Believing in Buddha to believe in the mind, achieving indestructible pure faith is believing in one's own enlightenment ability. The Tathagata is the Buddha who has become, we are the Buddhas who will become. Next, the practitioner must have good health and physical strength. Body and mind are inherently the same, closely related to each other. There can be no wisdom, insight in a sick body, sick to the point of exhaustion. Cultivation, on the other hand, is self-conscious and voluntary. Therefore, being honest and true to yourself and others is a fundamental principle for cultivating and purifying karma. May I renounce evil, Doing all good deeds and at the same time unborn evil should not be allowed to arise, good deeds already born must be done for growth is the essence of right effort. Finally, the application of wisdom, the effort to meditate on the arising and passing away of dharmas in order to realize suffering, impermanence and not-self. The time to achieve and stay in the fruition of liberation is always inversely proportional to effort and diligence. It can be very long, going through three A kalpas, but it can also be very short, seven days up to a day, even overnight, depending entirely on each practitioner's practice of these five essential factors. . Diligence, diligence or righteousness should be decisive for such a career, so in the last exhortation before Nirvana, the World-Honored One only admonished: "Fused dharmas are impermanent. Be diligent, don't be distracted" (The Great Bat Nirvana).L 9- FEAR Once, The Blessed One, staying at Sàvatthi, at Jetavana, addressed the monks: "Monks, there are these four fears. how is four? Fear of self-reproach, fear of others' blame, fear of punishment, fear of evil beasts. What is fear of self-blame? Here, bhikkhus, there are people who consider: "If my body does evil, my words speak evil, and my mind thinks evil, then I can blame myself: Why did I do that?" He, out of fear, blames himself, forsakes evil and does good, and lives a pure life. This, bhikkhus, is called fear of self-blame. What is fear of other people's blame? Here, monks, there are people who consider: "If my body does evil, my words speak evil, and my mind thinks evil, then others may blame me: Why do I do that?". He, out of fear of others' blame, abandons evil and does good, and lives a pure life. This, bhikkhus, is called fear of reproach. What is fear of punishment? Here, Monks, there are people who see kings and kings, when they catch thieves and robbers, use many other wrong punishments. They beat them with whips and sticks until they cut off their heads with swords. Because he is afraid of punishment, he does not steal other people's property. This, bhikkhus, is called fear of punishment. What is fear of beasts? Here, bhikkhus, someone thinks thus: 'Those who do evil in their own body, speak evil words, and think evil thoughts will have evil retribution in the future. That person, out of fear of evil beasts and falling lands, abandons his body to do evil, to speak evil words and to think evil thoughts. This, bhikkhus, is called fear of evil. There are, bhikkhus, these four kinds of fear. DISCLAIMER: Fear and insecurity are one of the afflictions that disturb the human mind. However, fear is essential for people to turn to good and avoid evil. In life, if there is no fear, With respect, one can do anything, not sparing anything. Conscience questioning, self-pitying with evil things is the basic foundation of self-improvement. Fear of other people's criticism is natural for decent people and relatively easy to do, but self-criticism, disgust with oneself (when things are unknown or unknown) is difficult, not everyone. can do. Fear of punishment, the severity of the law also helps people to shy away from evil deeds. The stricter the law, the more evil is repelled. Although it only solves the top of the evil, the law has an effective punishment and deterrent effect. Not only fear of immediate retribution, fear of retribution for evil animals and lower realms in the future also makes an important contribution to human perfection. If you sow evil, you will reap evil fruit. Therefore, Buddhists always observe body and mind, promote wisdom, fear evil things to live a good life in order to reap peace in this life and the next.END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.18/9/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
